Book Description

Completely Updated and Revised

This revised edition of Peter Senge’s bestselling classic, The Fifth Discipline, is based on fifteen years of experience in putting the book’s ideas into practice. As Senge makes clear, in the long run the only sustainable competitive advantage is your organization’s ability to learn faster than the competition. The leadership stories in the book demonstrate the many ways that the core ideas in The Fifth Discipline, many of which seemed radical when first published in 1990, have become deeply integrated into people’s ways of seeing the world and their managerial practices.

In The Fifth Discipline, Senge describes how companies can rid themselves of the learning “disabilities” that threaten their productivity and success by adopting the strategies of learning organizations—ones in which new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, collective aspiration is set free, and people are continually learning how to create results they truly desire.

The updated and revised Currency edition of this business classic contains over one hundred pages of new material based on interviews with dozens of practitioners at companies like BP, Unilever, Intel, Ford, HP, Saudi Aramco, and organizations like Roca, Oxfam, and The World Bank. It features a new Foreword about the success Peter Senge has achieved with learning organizations since the book’s inception, as well as new chapters on Impetus (getting started), Strategies, Leaders’ New Work, Systems Citizens, and Frontiers for the Future.

Mastering the disciplines Senge outlines in the book will:

• Reignite the spark of genuine learning driven by people focused on what truly matters to them
• Bridge teamwork into macro-creativity
• Free you of confining assumptions and mindsets
• Teach you to see the forest and the trees
• End the struggle between work and personal time

5 out of 5 stars Insightful and Informative Book.......2007-10-20

The Fifth Discipline is a seminal book by the famous author Peter M. Senge. The book teaches the concept of the learning organization namely that the successful organization must continually adapt and learn in order to respond to changes in the environment effectively and therefore to grow and prosper. I have read the book a number of times and keep on referring to it as is filled with a lot useful knowledge and wisdom. System thinking and learning is critical to organisational growth and development in the present highly dynamic operating environment.

According to Peter Senge, "real learning gets to the heart of what it means to be human. Through learning we re-create ourselves. Through learning we become able to do something we never were able to do. Through learning we reperceive the world and our relationship to it. Through learning we extend our capacity to create, to be part of the generative process of life. There is within each of us a deep hunger for this type of learning"--powerful advice indeed from a real learning guru.

This revised and updated edition includes the thoughts and ideas of some successful practitioners, taking into account developments since the first edition was published about 15 years earlier. Do not be intimidated by the length of the book, over 450 pages, as it is very informative, insightful and interesting to read.

I recommend this book for individuals interested in understanding the nature of how organizations develop, how behaviours are formed, and how organizations achieve growth and augment their capabilities. You will learn how to improve the way your organization or department functions, how to review and improve systems and how to develop shared visions, create long term goals among other critical insights.

I have not read the book yet, but it came to me very fast. I was pleased with the service and I enjoy using Amazon.

5 out of 5 stars Must read.......2007-09-17

Any manager who wishes to develop the organization he works for must read this book. It is an excellent introduction to systems thinking within any type of organization.

4 out of 5 stars The World is Knowledge Intensive.......2007-09-06

In addition to being a fan of Peter Senge, I'm also a great fan of the ultimate management guru, Peter Drucker, who got me thinking about "the learning organization" in his book, The Age of Discontinuity, when he said: "The world is becoming not labor intensive, not material intensive, not energy intensive, but knowledge intensive." I believe it, and thus, I was very receptive to Senge's thoughts in this book.

The central premise of my latest book, The Three Pillars of Sustainable Profit & Growth The Three Pillars of Sustainable Profit and Growth is this: the only sustainable advantage any firm can achieve in the future is the quality of the human talent it is able to recruit and retain. The knowledge they bring with them, and continue to acquire, is the key to their company's future growth and success.

Senge put it this way: "The ability to learn faster than your competitors may be the only sustainable competitive advantage."

Bottom line: I believe that managing knowledge in the contemporary business world is just as important as managing money. Successful companies of the future will clearly be seen as learning organizations, which Senge aptly defined as "a group of people who are continually enhancing their capability to create their own future."

5 out of 5 stars Thought Leadership, and Breakthrough ideas.......2007-08-27

I found this book highly simulating but required heavy study to transfer the ideas into the working environment. I found the framework was incomplete especially around the issues of creating a learning environment. Senges' framework for Systems is best described in terms of 'systems dynamics' which leads onto a more developed theory by others on system complexity and emergence.

He describes what might be an end state without detailing how to get there, the later follow up field book on tools and methods now fills this gap neatly. Both books together are perfect.

This book sets out theory very well, it also provides Thought Leadership, Breakthrough ideas and Inspiration. Its well written and enjoyable.

Book Description

This career planning guide is written specifically for high-functioning adolescents and young adults on the autism spectrum, their families, teachers, and counselors. The two authors weave together a unique blend of information and advice based on personal experiences. Temple Grandin draws from her own experience with autism spectrum disorders and her professional career, and Kate Duffy uses her expertise on employment issues and the mother of two teenagers with autistic-like behaviors. The result is an extremely useful and practical book that introduces step-by-step processes for the job search with a major section on the impact ASD has in the workplace, including managing sensory problems, how to nurture and turn talents and special interests into paid work, jobs that are particularly suited to individuals on the spectrum, and much more. First-hand accounts of job experiences and advice from individuals representing a broad range of careers particularly suited for high-functioning individuals on the autism spectrum round off this exciting new resource.

Fantastic book! Chock-full of practical ideas for coping in the real world, from someone on the autism spectrum who is highly successful in her life

2 out of 5 stars Limited information.......2007-05-23

By my having AS, along with ADHD, I was looking for a book that would give me some insight on the type of careers that people with AS may gravitate towards and how those with AS cope and succeed in an NT work environment.

For careers, not much insight as the gist was to try and make a career out of your special interest, which can vary among aspies. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it means that the career options are many for those of us with AS.

My second objective of learning how aspies can function effectively in the workplace was more disappointing. Most of the advice was things you could find in traditional career books. Not much on how to interview well, given our social challenges, or how to promote accomplishments because of the tendency to want to work alone. These are just two examples.

The book does a fair job of explaining AS and how it could present challenges in the workplace, but all in all, nothing insightful that can be used to find or succeed in a career.

3 out of 5 stars Autism Education.......2006-11-04

Most of this book offers parents assistance in educational needs of their lower functioning autisitc children. However, the list of possible job types is limited to manual laborer jobs. After having worked (and lived) with children in the autistic spectrum, I believe they are capable of much more than this book offers them. I would liketo see the authors add a list of secondary schools that offer admissins to children on the autistic spectrum along with assistance in the application process.

5 out of 5 stars A must read for teens, adults and parents!.......2006-08-10

Dr. Grandin has taken her knowledge, expertise and sensitivity one step further in Developing Talents: Careers for Individuals with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism. She offers many ideas for those affected by or those working with these individuals. This area is filled with people of talent who are underemployed. An example of one of the suggestions offered - an individual who is interested in cartoons and spends their days drawing - all day - being encouraged to go to a museum of cartooning, learning about different kinds of cartoons, the history of cartoons which expands their interest - meeting others with the same interest. It is not enough to have a talent or the intellectual ability to understand complex things. Without work, Dr. Grandin explains, her life would not have had order, content or meaning. She covers many different kinds of jobs that people on the autism spectrum can accommodate to and ones that would be more difficult for them. The book is well thought out and because Dr. Grandin is herself on the spectrum and spends so much of her time speaking to others at her many presentations she has analyzed a great deal of what works and what does not. This book is an absolute must read! I run a large group for parents, professionals and individuals and it is one of my first recommendations. This book gives concrete suggestions and hope.

4 out of 5 stars As a parent of an Asperger teen, this book was confirming and enlightening.......2006-02-23

As a parent of a teenager with Aspergers, alot of Ms. Gradin's recommendations confirmed what I already thought: sell the skills not the personality, go into areas where your interests/fixations lie and consider working as a consultant in your area of expertise. Finding recommendations I already thought of didn't make me feel like those parts of the book were a waste. On the contrary, it is nice to have affirmation from an outside source, particularly one intimately knowledgable of autism.

Other recommendations she makes were new to me. I had not thought of them, but they make alot of sense. She encourages people to go out and interview people in their field of choice to learn what they can about the industry. For neurotypical people, this would be akin to networking. For autistics, it is couched in a manner far easier for them to manage. People on the autism spectrum are probably not going to be good at social networking. But they would be very good at the interviews she recommends. She takes classic job networking and reworks it into research. I know my son LOVES researching more information on his interests, but digs in his heels at the thought of socializing.

Ms. Gradin also discusses the different styles of learning/thinking and which jobs are good for those type of people. My son happens to have amazing visual spatial abilities and is currently taking CAD in high school where he is getting straight A's. He now wants to become an architect which is exactly one of the fields Ms. Gradin reommends for visual spatial people on the spectrum.

Other beneficial feature of the book are the list of sources for information, examples of people in a wide selection of fields and Temple Gradin's personal observances.

I'm greatful to Ms. Gradin for writing books on autism. As hard as I try to understand my son, the fact that my brain is wired differently then his means I will always approach him with a bias, unintentional or otherwise. Her books clarify and explain things I could ponder for years and still not quite grasp.

I would also highly recommend her Animals In Translation book.

4 out of 5 stars Workplace Communications.......2006-01-04

Having taught technical writing, workplace communications, and business English at three different institutions--community college, four-year institution, and private university--and possessing an earned doctorate with an English minor, I find Searle's textbook user friendly, relevant, and functionally practical for nontraditional students, particularly those seeking applied science associate degrees that are terminal. Each of the 10 chapters relate to written and spoken communicative tasks that are required on the job for most persons employed in skilled and paraprofessional positions. The format of the text is inviting and varied without being cluttered or obtrusive. Every community and technical college should consider this text for nontraditional "technical" or business writing courses.

5 out of 5 stars More than an academic perspective.......2001-11-18

I'm an American based in Japan and working all over Asia. I found this book to be an outstanding analysis of the relationships between Americans and their foreign colleagues or customers.

It's written from a business perspective more so than an academic perspective. Although the style is a bit heavy, I still found many of the anecdotes entertaining.

5 out of 5 stars real-life examples of diversity in globalized business.......2000-05-28

In the past four years, I have used Intercultural Communication in the Global Workplace with over 500 community college students interested in cultural differences from a business perspective. This book provides a useful structure for thinking and talking about both the theoretical foundations of global diversity as well as the practical implications of working cross culturally - - whether from a desk in the USA or traveling and working abroad. The book is well-organized and includes thoughtfully selected, real-life examples of cultural differences (which I, as an overseas expatriate of 20 years can verify). The real value of the book is in these multiple examples which give readers a sense of the rich diversity of our globalized world and the importance of encountering business people from other cultures (both within the USA and abroad) with an awareness of, and sensitivity to, cultural priorities. The case study in the chapter on negotiations with other cultures is particularly well-conceived and useful.

a good book to get your feet wet. my first 'for dummies' book. I felt a tad foolish buying this, having written loads of programs in the last 18 years, but this book was very helpful getting me started on crystal reports.

This is not an intuitive program for me to use for reports and documents, but the book gave me some good pointers.

5 out of 5 stars The For Dummies Approach applied to Crystal Reports.......2007-03-11

The computer was going to eliminate paperwork. That's why Crystal Reports has sold about 13 million copies. Simply put, Crystal Reports is a database report writer.

Most of the data a business wants to look at is maintained in a database. How to produce a report that is customized for what you (or your boss) want to see can be done by going directly to the database, executing a query and then printing it out in a format that you want to see -- bah humbug. Who wants to go program all that stuff?

Hence Crystal Reports. Here is a program that allows you to basically point and click and produce the report you want. It's rather simple to use for a simple straight forward report. That's why Crystal Reports is included in some 200 software packages.

Now, why buy a book on it, and why this book in particular. First, if you've looked at the documentation provided by Crystal Reports you've probably thrown up your hands in disgust. Second, because you've gotten to this page means you probably searched for something on Crystal Reports and found that you didn't have all that many choices that cover Version 10. Third, this is a 'For Dummies' book. It is written in a style that most of use can read and get some sense out of it.

If you're just getting started, this is a good place. If you're already an expert, this will tell you about what's possible in the newest version.

4 out of 5 stars Crystal Reports 10 for Dummies.......2007-02-20

This book is pretty good for a quick tour of the software and it's capabilities.

4 out of 5 stars Dummies and Crystal Report.......2007-01-11

Crystal Reports has more features than can one book can explain, but this one gives a great mini overview of lots of items available. Well worth the expense.

    Book Description

Technical Communication represents the works of five highly respected authors, all writing in their areas of expertise. Scientific examples and assignments within a social context are used for a realistic view of communication issues. This is the only text to extensively address argument, including reasoning, credibility, persuasion, decision making, problem solving, and critical thinking. The topic of audience is also addressed more thoroughly than in any other text. The book covers the traditional parts of the technical communication course but has been updated greatly to respond to the demands that the computer places on communicating.

    Book Description

The landmark study of cultural differences across 70 nations, Cultures and Organizations helps readers look at how they think—and how they fail to think—as members of groups. Based on decades of painstaking field research, this new edition features the latest scientific results published in Geert Hofstede’s scholarly work Culture’s Consequences, Second Edition. Original in thought and profoundly important, Cultures and Organizations offers vital knowledge and insight on issues that will shape the future of cultures and nations in a globalized world.

4 out of 5 stars Wonderful framework for thinking about cultural differences.......2007-09-20

A must-read for anyone interested in the subject area.

The new and revised content also relate Hofstede's original groundbreaking research to the more recent work of other renowned scholars in the field (such as Ronald Inglehart of the Univ of Michigan and the World Values Survery). These links make his work even more compelling and make you start to think that we may be inching closer to a more universally agreed upon framework for thinking about cultural differences.

5 out of 5 stars A must have resource for highly effective multicultural / multinational leadership..........2007-05-29

As a combat tested USAF E3 AWACS command pilot (over 1900+ hours of total flight experience), this book is a potent resource for anyone seeking to gain insights on how best to manage a multicultural / multinational workspace.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent insights while entertaining to read.......2007-05-24

Having just survived a merger of two companies, I was searching to find the right words to explain the differences in cultures I was experiencing. Although this book focuses on national cultures, I found the explanations of the dimensions of culture and how they manifest themselves in different behaviors appropriate for corporate situations. The last few chapters deal explicitly with corporate culture, but I found these chapters less insightful than the others. The book is very well written and organized, with tables summarizing key concepts and entertaining anecdotes to illustrate the points. Because I've traveled internationally for business, I was familiar with other works on culture, but none were as helpful as this book. I now have the vocabulary to articulate the differences I see.

5 out of 5 stars Monumental Book Well Worth the Read.......2007-03-06

The father and son team of Geert and Geert Jan Hofstede have done a remarkable job breaking down the (measurable) elements of the world's cultures, usingt the somewhat antiquated IBM studies combined with more recent (less comprehensive) studies. The end result is that nations can be evaulauted on the basis of criteria such as "uncertainty avoidance," "individualism" and "power distance from superiors."

The work is enlightening and helpful to anyone who works internationally. It is also useful to break down one's own nation (for example, some Americans lean toward the British way of thinking while others are more German-like). The same criteria that divide nations also divide families within a society.

Businessmen, missionaries, pastors, counselors, journalists, and social scientists should devour these materials!

This should be required reading for anyone planning to live overseas or anyone who deals with internationals. In short, this book is relevant to our modern "shrinking" world and quite well done.

Like most significant works, this volume has its weak points.

Although the authors claim to espouse a "values neutral" position (which I have always argued is an impossible and illogical position), their Dutch/Swedish preferences ring out loudly and clearly (humanistic, environmnetalist, etc.). Although the authors do make a serious attempt to look at things from other perspectives, they simply cannot divorce themselves from their own cultural preferances. This is not bad -- they simply need to be above board and stop pretending to take the role of the neutral outsider (at least to better influence those of us who are American conservatives; we are big into distinguishing between fact and evaluation of fact; these evaluations are always done through a person's own personal gridwork).

The authors also have occasional trouble connecting a few dots. For example, on the bottom of p. 355, the Hofstedes are tactfully scolding the U.S. for its lack of foreign aid (again, showing their own bias), but on the top of p. 356 they add, "Looking back to half a century of development assistance, most observers agree that the effectiveness of much of the spending has been dismal." They then say those countries which did improve did so because of their cultural values, not foreign aid. But they seem incapable of concluding that good intentions (and even money) is not the most effective way to solve these problems. They just don't get it.

The same is true with contributions through governments to Tsunami relief. It should be expected that individualistic countries would be more prone to give as individuals, not as collective societies. Rather than look at total giving (or perecentage) OF A SOCIETY, they authors confuse a society with its government. Lots of missed "dot connections" in this work.

Despite the books weakspots, it is overwhelming strong and rich with fascinating content. It is a "mind opening" work -- well worth the read. You simply must read this one!

    5 out of 5 stars Pioneering work.......2006-04-24

This is a pioneering book, which provides a generalist approach to dealing with cross-cultural issues with many excellent examples. Hofstede was one of the first to bring the study of how culture affects human interaction in the field of business. The quantifying approach is very similar to what cultural anthropologists use. As with all pioneering works there is some criticism about conflict resolution as other reviewers have pointed out. Another central criticisms of this model has been that nation state and culture are always presumed to be the same. Local culture does not follow political boundaries. Globalization has also changed some of the observations initially made by Hofstede.

Some readers might be tempted to think of people in simple categories or stereotypes, which is precisely what Hofstede counsels that we should attempt to avoid. Cultures and organizations gives good insights on how "Groupthink" controls our lives and how we could improve interaction.

Hofstede's tools for understanding different national cultures are widely used by cross-cultural trainers all over the world and taught in many fields.

This is a good book for international managers and students of culture. HR-practitioners working in multicultural organizations might find this a bit theoretical but nonetheless useful for understanding underlying causes for human behaviour.

    Book Description

From the bestselling author of Love Is the Killer App

You can win life’s popularity contests

The choices other people make about you determine your health, wealth, and happiness. And decades of research prove that people choose who they like. They vote for them, buy from them, marry them, and spend precious time with them. The good news is that you can arm yourself for the contest and win life’s battles for preference. How? By raising your likeability factor.

The more you are liked, the happier your life will be. In The Likeability Factor, business guru Tim Sanders shows how to build your likeability factor by teaching you how to enhance four critical elements of your personality:

    • Friendliness: your ability to communicate liking and openness to others

    • Relevance: your capacity to connect with others’ interests, wants, and needs

    • Empathy: your ability to recognize, acknowledge, and experience other people’s feelings

    • Realness: the integrity that stands behind your likeability and guarantees its authenticity

When you improve these areas and boost your likeability factor, you bring out the best in others, handle life’s challenges with grace, enjoy better health, and excel in your daily roles. You can win the close calls and tight competitions that define and determine success and happiness at work and in life—The Likeability Factor can show you how!

4 out of 5 stars Compelling ideas, but what the heck do they mean in practice ?.......2007-10-17

First, no doubt there is a personality style that we all know as easy to like. But, is "like-ability" sufficient ? As a stand alone character trait is may have a comforting, attractive quality, in life it must be coupled with other traits, such as dynamism, intellectual rigor, mature self awareness for this abilty to be liked quality to have any lasting meaning.

As we read with alarming frequency in the current literature, Hare, Stout, et al. , there are plenty of people out there who seem likable enough, who have an excess of charm and a deficiency of ethics. In the worst case these are known as sociopaths, or those with a complex admixture of sociopathic personality traits and acceptable traits.

Which ultimately leads us to a fascinating contradiction. We may be drawn to someone on the basis of an emotional attractiveness, and yet repelled when we discover their agenda, and in other cases we may be initially put off by someone's critical stance towards life, demanding proof before emotional investment, and yet unlimately finding the second case far more trustworthy and satisfying.

In this sense, there is an intrinsic tension between Charisma, the spirit of the moment, and Character, the unfolding of the true self over time. One may ultimately come to the conclusion that the admirable person may not be as invested in being likable in a glib, two dimensional sense, nonetheless, over time that person's company, advice, and general sense of standards in life may be vastly more impressive than treacle and cardboard of feelgood in the moment glad handing.

5 out of 5 stars L-Factor is the key element of Biz Success.......2007-09-28

The L-Factor of what Tim calls "Likeability" is the key element of success in business or personal relationships. As a therapist and business consultant for 25 years I believe that this approach will guide you toward a more fun and fulfilling way of life. I can't say enough good about the power of this resource as Tim coaches you toward a strategic approach that will sharpen your ability to instantly connect with others to achieve greater results. This is must reading if you are struggling in your career, and essential reading if you are just getting started because once you know how to use the secrets of the "L-Factor" you will avoid problems to rapidly reach your potential. Pick it up and read it twice!

    5 out of 5 stars Who Doesn't Like Likeability?.......2007-07-23

Tim Sanders does a great job with his book "The Likeability Factor" in showing business executives that their personality, and how others see them, really will make a difference in the bottom line. Being liked leads to opportunities, and Sander's uses his personal experiences (I have met him, he is very likeable), research and his easy writing style to educate the reader on how to improve their "L-Factor"

We all have limited time, but this book is worth the time investment to read it, take notes, do the exercises, and incorporate the wisdom into our daily lives.

5 out of 5 stars is it too late for hillary to read.......2007-06-27

If only Hillary did not scare so many people. This is the book that anyone should read to make themselves more in touch with their village.

5 out of 5 stars Made me a better person.......2007-05-20

The first thing to note here is this is a short book. Only 224 pages, including the table of contents, introductions, etc. The first 131 pages are basically an infomercial for the book, telling you why it was such a good idea to purchase it. Nothing really helpful or exciting, it talks about why it is important for people to like you. Obviously you realize how important it is to be liked, otherwise you would not even be looking at this book.

On page 132 things get interesting. Tim Sanders does not let you sit back and be passive. There is a little writing and a lot of thinking involved with the self-exploration exercises Tim gives you. You are required to look inward to see what about you is already likable, and what needs improvement.

The best advice I got from this book is to "observe no unfriendliness." If you are able to visualize yourself as a friendly person, you will become friendlier, and thereby you will become more likable. There is plenty of advice like this to help you become a better person. I know, because it worked for me.

5 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Managing Workplace Conflict.......2007-06-15

Daniel Dana, aka the "conflict doctor", is an established authority on workplace conflict management and resolution. In this book, he helps readers to understand the nature and cost of conflict within the workplace and offers a toolkit for managing and resolving such conflicts by advancing a concept for employees and managers to acquire skills for resolving conflicts between oneself and another and as a third part between others.

A unique feature of the publication is the author's introduction of a tool for calculating the monetary cost of conflict within any organization that should get the attention of those responsible for monitoring the corporate bottom line. It uses practical cases to illustrate important concepts and offers alternatives to the universal and innate human 'fight or flight' response to conflict, while sharing insights on why it is important to understand the structure of conflict in order to know how to resolve it successfully.

As a certified trainer of Managing Workplace Conflict and subject matter expert with Mediation Training Institute (MTI), an international organization founded by the author, I have found this publication and a companion volume by the same author, "Managing Differences" to be an invaluable training resource for understanding the nature, cost, management and resolution of workplace conflict.

This insightful, comprehensive and well written self-help volume is a must read for employees and managers in any organizational setting and a priceless resource for the student of conflict management and workplace dispute resolution.

    5 out of 5 stars Great resource.......2007-05-09

I've trained through MTI with Daniel Dana and his approach to conflict is easy to understand and implement within personal and professsional organizations. This book offers practical principles in an easy to read format.

4 out of 5 stars Looking for the basics in CR, this is your book!!!.......2005-08-02

This is a great intro to the skills of a mediator, or just a human being in this day and age. Daniel Dana is a leading teacher in this area. Anyone who is looking to attain this skill will be greatly served by reading this book.

5 out of 5 stars Handy book for resolving conflicts........2001-12-12

This book gives the main points in simple language that anyone can understand. Further all the points and key terms a mediator needs to remember are hightlighted and enclosed in boxes on the relevant pages.

All points are explained with examples and simple cases.

I recommend this book for all who prepare for examination. This is a good book for quick reference.

    5 out of 5 stars Usable information.......2001-05-22

I found this book to be of tremendous value. Conflict Resolution is an easy to read resource that is full of practical information that can be applied immediately on the job. It is not only a must-have for managers and supervisors, but also an essential resource for anyone who would like to have more effective relationships and live a conflict free life. Daniel Dana writes with a friendly and often humorus style and it is clear that he has a vast knowledge of this topic. He has a great ability to take a complex subject and make it simple and easy to use with specific "how-to" steps, and that really makes this book valuable to me. I have now successfully used the resolution approaches outlined in this book both in my profession as a consultant and trainer, and in a family conflict situation that was causing a lot of pain. Additionally, the ideas in this book have worked for me in both one-on-one conflicts and group conflicts. The bottom line - this works.
