Best Step By Step Book for Access 2003 Beginners.......2007-01-06
As a business application user I started studying Access 2003 using a book titled "Sams Teach Yourself Microsoft Office Access 2003 in 24 Hours"; by Alison Balter. That book has a more conceptual approach and I felt I was taking too long to learn the fundamental steps of how to build a database with limited previous exposure to Access 2003. This book was very user friendly with less geek-speak and more graphics to show you how to achieve your database objectives in Access 2003. If you complete the exercises and then the challenge problems at the end of each chapter you'll quickly be the Access 2003 expert in a business administration setting. I highly recommend it for business application users before any another text book on Access 2003!

Great resource Read it to decide - keep it to make the transition.......2007-10-23
[[ASIN:0471782793 Office 2007 All-in-One Desk Reference For Dummies (For Dummies Series)]I need to replace my 5 year old computor and decide if Office 2007 could function well with Windows XP on a new computer or also require buying the newest Microsoft operating system. So I invested in 'Office 2007 for Dummies'. It's wonderful! I have already decided that Office 2007 is absolutely necessary. This great book evaluates and explains all the improvemnt over Office 2003. It is well organized by major sections so it is easy to find information on whichever function is the most important question you have in mind. Each section starts with basics and follows with detailed information. I started with the basics: Word and Excel and then was intrigued by the sections covering the great new capabilities in Office 2007. Writing is clear and logical. It will be helpful for newbies, experienced users and experts. The Index and the logical organization of chapters make it easy to locate any information needed easily. This publication will be of continuing value to any user as they explore the many many new and useful feature covered in this great tool.
So far, so good.......2007-10-17
I haven't gotten very far into learning my new software, and as a result, into this book, but it has proved helpful so far, and easy to use and understand.
Great Reference Book!.......2007-08-13
Being new to any Microsoft Office product, when I purchased Office 2007, I was pretty lost. Microsoft's on-line tutorials were useless, so I purchased Office 2007 for Dummies, thinking I would use it mostly as a reference. It was so well written and easy to understand, I actually read the entire book, and am looking forward to using Publisher and Power Point (I initially purchased Office for Word and Excel). I found working with Office 2007 easy after reading this book, and have had to utilize the book as a reference very minimally. Utilizing the table of contents and index, I can quickly locate what I am looking for. I am sure this book saved me hours of frustration by laying out the concept behind the Office 2007 design, and showing me how to quickly hunt for commands that I know are there (from reading about them in the book). I am sure my learning time was greatly reduced. Great job Peter Werverka!
All in One Desk Reference for Dummies-Office 2007.......2007-07-29
Excellent reference guide for the new Microsoft Office 2007. Without it I would have been stumbling around trying to figure out some of the functions as this new edition is very different.
Great Product!.......2007-07-10
Mail delivery was faster than I thought - and the reference book is being used every day. The manual we got with the program did not explain half of what I needed and this reference is easy and fast!

NOT USEFUL.......2007-10-22
I did not find this book very useful. It does not give you enough practice. It gives you files and lets you make changes but does not give indepth explainations about what you are doing. It gives you an overview of Access but not enough information to set up a simple data base.
I purchased the Microsoft Word book at the same time and it is worse than this one.
Review.......2007-09-03
thi9s is a quite useful book that covers a range of detailed information. at times i find it difficult t olocate exactly what i want and i feel the book is written with an expectation that you will undestand a great deal of the technical terms before embarking on this work book.
Microsoft Office Access 2003 Step by Step.......2007-06-27
It is an easy to follow book
plain English with good practical examples
more exercises will increase the benefit of it
Outstanding Book!.......2007-05-17
This book is well written and provides very exacting details to ensure a firm understanding of Microsoft Access. I found the CD-Rom with the example files to be extremely helpful as well. This book is an excellent reference source for those just beginning Access, to those who have a more advanced grasp of Access already.
Not a very good book despite the name.......2007-03-08
This book doesn't teach you access to any depth. Lots of fluff but no real meat. Don't spend $27 and waste your time. If you want to learn or master access, check out Alison Balter book "Mastering Microsoft Office Access 2003".

Billed as "The only Access 2003 book you need," Special Edition Using Microsoft Office Access 2003 is a comprehensive reference book that may well live up to its slogan. It covers all aspects of Microsoft's small but powerful database environment, from user-level features to Transact-SQL, Active Data Objects (ADO), and InfoPath. While you probably will want a separate reference for Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), or whatever programming environment you're using, this book indeed comprehensive in terms of Access 2003 itself. Coverage of T-SQL is particularly helpful, thanks to the author's extensive use of illustrative examples in those sections. Further, he takes care to help readers prepare for the imminent retirement of the Jet database engine and the required migration for Microsoft SQL Server.
Roger Jennings' coverage of the user-level part of Access (the editing, formatting, and design functions, and the wizards that make them easier to use) is standard Que fare, full of carefully indexed procedures and lots of hints and tips that call attention to potential problems and obscure capabilities. Later chapters--the ones that will be of greater interest to people doing application-development work--rely more heavily (and appropriately so) on code snippets and explanations of what they do. Even in the more programmer-oriented sections, though, there are numbered steps to follow in order to achieve desired effects, such as exporting data to XML and setting up an InfoPath form. --David Wall
Topics covered: User- and developer-level traits and capabilities of Microsoft Access 2003. Emphasis falls on relational database design, data entry and validation techniques, form design, sorting and reporting, CrossTabs and PivotTables, and Transact-SQL. There's coverage of the differences between the Jet database engine and the Microsoft SQL Server database environment, and notes on developing applications for both.
Book Description
Special Edition Using Microsoft Office Access 2003 is a comprehensive reference for all the features of Access 2003. This edition adds new chapters on collaboration with Microsoft SharePoint Team Server, and creating or consuming XML Web Services, both of which are hot topics. The XML chapter includes Access 2003's new XML export/import features.
The book's organization follows the development process for typical Access database applications. Detailed, step-by-step instructions with icons guide those who are new to Access through table design, data addition, importing data from external sources, query design and execution, and designing data entry forms and printed reports. Chapters on advanced form and report design emphasize data-entry efficiency and presentation clarity.
Customer Reviews:
I found this book to be a bit confusing.......2007-03-13
The idea is good to try to introduce ACCESS fundtionality through building up some real application (he uses that Northwind sample).
However, I found that it is inadequately explained. Or in many instances, missing the explanation all together. On Chapter 26 - a basic intro of InfoPATH - a good attempt that fail miserably !! I thought he would explains how InfoPath would be integrated as an entry FORM for ACCESS Apps but it was just a basic intro of InfoPATH.
Actaully I want to give only 1 star, but seeing that some examples from the CD could be made useful - so I give him one more star for that.
Horrible Book I hvae ever Seen.......2006-02-24
I wish I could select rating for this book lower that one star. This is a horrible book I have ever seen in my life. This
book Is poorly indexed . I would not recommend anyone to go for this book. I serched google for my acess problems when I found, it was impossible to get it from this book. I can give you one example 'how to right update-query' . Someone go and look in this book , it's horrible to understand what the author is saying insted searh in google ' Update-Query in MS Acess' you will get nice explanatory answers.
Again minus 10 Rating for this book
Manual.......2005-12-17
Easy to read. Already used on one project. Just another manual in an excellent series.
A lot of how, not enough why.......2005-03-15
This book is not for beginners, and may not be for anybody. It is poorly indexed, making it very difficult to find a desired topic. It is also largely based on step-by-step examples, without enough explanation of why something works the way it does. In other words, plenty of detail on specific, pre-determined tasks, but scant exploration of broad topics and ideas.
Unfinished Editing.......2004-05-11
Although this book is very good, as are most Que books, it appears that the book wasn't totally re-done for Access 2003.
There are numerous sections in the book that discuss the new features of Access 2002 (not 2003).

Customer Reviews:
Missing information.......2007-09-17
I don't think this book measures up to the previous books in the series.
For example, in Chapter 3 they talk about importing data from a sharepoint service. This takes almost two pages. The trouble is that they don't tell you where to start. The reader is left with a sense that this important stuff but s/he can't get to it. I've found examples of the same thing in Chapters 1-2. Seems like the book got ahead of the product it seeks to describe.
Basically, I've just put it aside and will wait for something better to come along.
A great getting started guide.......2007-04-10
This was a great getting started guide. It will help an end users Access from just starting out to intermediate. If you're looking to become proficient at macros and VBA, this is just the tip of the iceburg, but will still make a good starting point depending on your experience with previous versions of Access. It's clear examples and companion CD make learning the material easy and straight forward. Unless you're already pretty familiar with access I recommend you follow along with hands-on. There's a lot to know about Access 2007, and you won't remember much without a little practice.
Databases for keyboard monkeys.......2007-03-28
Does a great job in forming the new generation of office monkeys, capable of "clicking their way" to some very basics database operations while retaining perfect blissful ignorance about what's going on. I like a "learn by doing" approach, but this is more like a "learn by clicking" approach that will leave you with no understanding of what you are doing. And even in this brainless approach, no mention is made on how to create a decent database and all that is said about relations fits in a skimpy page. Kind of sad how basic computer education is geared towards creating brainless keyboard monkeys instead of competent, creative professionals who can understand and enjoy their work and their tools. One cannot help but wonder why..
the fog is clearing.......2007-02-10
This is a good book for a beginner. The examples are very good at walking you through the basics. The terminology/screen shots actually match what Access 2007 looks like. Some of the other books out there don't. Trust me, that creates alot of confusion. This book helps lay the foundation for creating very simple databases. If you have something more complicated in mind, you will need another book. What that book is....I'm not sure. After 2 books, I'm still looking.

Access Hacks: Tips & Tools for Wrangling Your Data (Hacks)
ASIN: 0596006780 |
Book Description
Not a reference book, and not a tutorial either, the new second edition of the highly regarded Access Cookbook is an uncommonly useful collection of solutions to problems that Access users and developers are likely to face as they attempt to build increasingly complex applications. Although using any single "recipe" in the book will more than pay back the cost of the book in terms of both hours saved and frustration thwarted, Access Cookbook, Second Edition is much more than a handy assortment of cut-and-paste code. Each of the "recipes" examine a particular problem--problems that commonly occur when you push the upper limits of Access, or ones that are likely to trip up a developer attempting to design a more elegant Access application--even some things you never knew Access could do. The authors then, in a clear, accessible, step-by-step style, present the problems' solution. Following each "recipe" are insights on how Access works, potential pitfalls, interesting programming techniques that are used in the solution, and how and why the solution works, so you can adapt the problem-solving techniques to other similar situations. Fully updated for Access 2003, Access Cookbook, Second Edition is also one of the first books to thoroughly explore new support for .NET managed code and XML. All of the practical, real-world examples have been tested for compatibility with Access 2003, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. This updated new edition also covers Access and SharePoint, Access and SmartTags, Access and .NET; and Access and XML. Access power users and programmers at all levels, from the relatively inexperienced to the most sophisticated, will rely on the Access Cookbook for quick solutions to gnarly problems. With a dog-eared copy of Access Cookbook at your side, you can spend your time and energy where it matters most: working on the interesting facets of your Access application, not just the time-consuming ones.
Customer Reviews:
One of the most invaluable references I have in my library.......2006-10-13
I'll keep this brief, as my title says it all. I have been developing access applications on a professional level for many years. Have several applications that large companies use to run there business. This cookbook has helped me in more ways then I can count. I wish I could find more like it. I use it just as a cookbook. Look thru to find a similiar situation that I am trying to solve. The examples are written very well. The code is very exact and on the money. While most of the examples listed are not always exactly like what I'm trying to solve, it definitely gets the creative juices flowing on how to solve my problem.
The other good things, there are several useful "tips" that you can use to implement in many of your applications that will help the users have a better experience.
Definitely a must have if you wish to write serious applications.
Recipes for Access Developer Success.......2005-05-21
The Access Developer's Handbook Set (search ISBN: 0782140114) and in particular, Volume 1: Desktop Edition (search ISBN: 0782123708) is my definitive resource to approximately 4 years of Access development. I've got more stickies and highlights in this set than all other Access books combined. So when I came across the Access cookbook and realized that the same two indispensible authors (Getz & Litwin) put together a resource of Access developer solutions, I had to have it.
This book has not let me down. It is certainly geared towards the intermediate to advanced Access professional developers who already understand the basics of Access and more importantly, who also understand the shortcomings of Access and the benefits of getting around those shortcomings. There are about 170 solutions in this book that are segmented into 18 chapters of high-level topics such as Queries, Forms, XML, UI, VBA, Windows APIs, even Smart Tags. I would be really surprised to find someone who picked up this text, thumbed through the solutions, and found that there was nothing they could get out of this book.
I would say that if you are developing a professional Access front-end and/or database, you owe it to yourself to buy this book and review each solution before you release or ship your product. I did, and found either new answers and existing improvements to many of the things I was struggling with during my development cycles.
Access Developers.. this is a must have!.......2005-01-20
When I started my job, my first assignment was develop several Access databases. What they wanted was beyond what I knew of Access. After buying this book and Access Database Programming and Design, I was well on my way to develop a quite advanced Access database application. I would ask myself, "I wonder if I can..." After consulting this book for the anwser, BAM! I found it there. This book covers everything from simple VBA to advanced techniques such as incorporating a email system into a database, linked dropdown combo boxes using SQL, and creating VB Form control that tells you who all is currently in a database using ADO and VBA! I would say anyone wanting to cook a mean Access database should definitely pick this one up. It is an invaluable reference if you want to develop professional Access databases with incredible functionality!
I'm a ColdFusion guy, so read this review with that in mind:.......2004-11-12
This book I would recommend for people who use Access as their back end, and need to add some automation to their back end. It deals mostly with using VBA to solve problems, like:
* How to create an input box where you can get some better info than the standard VBA one
* Call Excel functions, and apply them to Access data
* Figure out which users have a shared database open, if you're
doing a blended Access/CF solution
* Managing report printing (see next set of bullets)
I recommend checking out this book under the following circumstances:
* You have internal and external clients hitting your database. In a situation like that, you can have your internal users access the database using a well-designed Access application, which this book will give you some tricks on how to create.
* In the alternative, you want to manage and analyze your data, and create print reports. That's where Access just as a stand-alone application gives a substantial advantage over any Web technology.
For a ColdFusion developer, there are some topics in this book that probably wouldn't do much good:
* Adding Smart Tags functionality to a database - if you're expanding beyond the reach of Microsoft Office, Smart Tags prove to be a nifty proprietary parlor trick
* Using Access' security management tools to manage user rights to database objects. If I run a Windows server, I would use Challenge and Response to create NTFS based permissions on my pages in my application that manage data. Otherwise, I'll use application-based usernames and passwords, same net result.
* Exporting Access data as XML using pre-defined schemas. Not bad, but ColdFusion has far better technology.
Don't get me wrong - those last three bullets are not any disrespect to this well-written, well-organized guide. I'm just looking at, "What topics would interest you if you're a ColdFusion developer?"
If you do want to learn more about Access database development as an art unto itself, this is not the place to begin. This is the place to arrive at.
Unique resource for experienced access users.......2004-07-29
Those familiar with Access may not be familiar with O'Reilly's Cookbook series. The Cookbook series takes common tough problems and provides simple recipes, often with multiple alternative takes, to solve the problem. The value is not only in reference, it also shows you new techniques for using Access or VB is new ways that you may not have thought of.
I highly recommend this book for any experienced Access user, or anyone looking to become an Access expert. This book will stretch your skills and make it easier to nod your head yes when your boss asks you to solve some tricky problem.

A Good Introduction.......2006-01-26
This is a good introduction to working with Access 2003. It is introductory in nature and can be successfully used by those with no background at all. The instructions a very detailed and are given step by step. This process is so basic, that it often becomes annoying and prompts thoughts such as, "surely, they realize I can do THAT by now". Even though it is annoying, that is also part of the strength of this tutorial.
Another strength is its large, full color illustrations. They could even be called luxurious, especially when compared to the miniature black and white illustration which are so common but need an electron microscope to be of any use. Most steps are documented and the locations of needed buttons are usually highlighted. This is particularly helpful in a complex application like Access which contains a myriad of menus and buttons.
The examples almost always work as described. The only place I encountered any problem was towards the end when dealing with writing VBA code. There I did run into one glitch. I am still unsure whether it was my typing of an actual problem. Retyping code is notorious for these types of errors but I also noticed that in this one instance, the screens did not always exactly match the illustrations.
The examples build upon each other. Students use the same basic company level problem and keep building upon it. This reinforces earlier lessons.
This book has a few cons as well. There is no disk. It assumes that an instructor will hand out all needed files. This may work in a college but it did not work for me at home.
The book is weak on teaching actual database theory. It is mostly about how to use the program. Some topics are merely glossed over. Many to many relationships were only mentioned in passing. On the plus side, however, just about every topic is at least touched upon.
This book was obviously designed to be used as a part of a formal class. I think it works extremely well in that situation. It was also fairly decent for self study.
Access 2003 Comprehensive Concepts and Techniques.......2005-10-09
We have been using this textbook for Database Management at Kaplan University. This is the most informative and well illustrated textbook I think I have ever seen. Every step, every new technique is clearly explained. This has made me fall in love with Database Management and Microsoft Access!! I have been going around my work offering to make databases for everybody I see!! This is absolutely 5 stars!!!!!!

Book Description
Written for a diverse audience (all ages, different educational backgrounds, varying educational goals), this book allows for self-paced or online learning. The primary goal of GO! Series: Microsoft Access 2003 Volume 1 is to teach Microsoft Access 2003 quickly and easily, with an approach that is based on clearly-defined projects. A key feature of the book is the use of Microsoft procedural syntax: steps begin with where the action is to take place, followed by the action itself. The instruction is error-free, clearly written, and logically arranged. This book provides users with the skills to solve business problems using the computer as a tool. Volume 1 covers the following topics: getting started with Access databases and tables; forms and reports; queries; tables, access pages, and database conversion; building and maintaining a relational database; and advanced forms and subforms. An efficient and handy guide for anyone interested learning the ins and outs of Microsoft Access 2003.

Microsoft Access 2007 Version Upgrade

Book Description
Compared to industrial-strength database products such as Microsoft's SQL Server, Access is a breeze to use. It runs on PCs rather than servers and is ideal for small- to mid-sized businesses and households. But Access is still intimidating to learn. It doesn't help that each new version crammed in yet another set of features; so many, in fact, that even the pros don't know where to find them all. Access 2007 breaks this pattern with some of the most dramatic changes users have seen since Office 95. Most obvious is the thoroughly redesigned user interface, with its tabbed toolbar (or "Ribbon") that makes features easy to locate and use. The features list also includes several long-awaited changes. One thing that hasn't improved is Microsoft's documentation. To learn the ins and outs of all the features in Access 2007, Microsoft merely offers online help.
Access 2007: The Missing Manual was written from the ground up for this redesigned application. You will learn how to design complete databases, maintain them, search for valuable nuggets of information, and build attractive forms for quick-and-easy data entry. You'll even delve into the black art of Access programming (including macros and Visual Basic), and pick up valuable tricks and techniques to automate common tasks -- even if you've never touched a line of code before. You will also learn all about the new prebuilt databases you can customize to fit your needs, and how the new complex data feature will simplify your life. With plenty of downloadable examples, this objective and witty book will turn an Access neophyte into a true master.

Easy to understand and written in an interesting manner........2007-09-11
I have a number of years of programming and system experience, but had not been exposed to Access. I decided to rewrite my business systems using Access to convert them from the Paradox system that I had used for years. Using this book and Microsoft Office Access(TM) 2007 Inside Out (Microsoft Office Access Inside Out), I have already rewritten more than half of my systems in a couple of weeks, working on them for a couple of hours each evening. Granted, I am still not an expert, but I have been able to write Virtual Basic macros, designed and completed a number of tables for my data base, forms using multiple subforms, selection boxes, and functional buttons, and a number of professional looking reports. The use of these two books has greatly shortened my learning curve and helped me to be productive in much less time than it would have taken without them.

'Access 2007: The Missing Manual' by Matthew MacDonald is another gem in the line of Missing Manual books. Filled with 700+ pages of material, if you are new to Access or even a seasoned pro, there is a little bit of something for everybody in this book. A fantastic layout, wonderful content, and one of the most user-friendly books out there, if you use Access for any length of time and want to become a better user or are a new user and want to discover how to use Access, this is the ONLY book for you.
An absolute marvel which richly deserves the title 'Missing Manual' as this keeps up with the past quality works expected from this line.
***** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This book is light reading. The style is light and easy to enjoy. The author is definitely a wordsmith and has total control over the tone of the book. Some of the chapters start with non issues to people interested in Access, but this seems to be his writing style: a neutral or buffered start so you do not bolt before you get into that chapter.
This book is heavy reading. After a few paragraphs of light introduction, each sentence is packed with actions to take, issues to ponder, tables to study, and much more. The actions to take could not be done in one night. Look forward to a week, at least.
Annoying things for me:
1. His use of 's.
Code's means "code is" and not "code's use" in the sentence [not the possessive but the contraction].
This happens all the way through the book, so heads up.
2. His use of double negatives.
I found it harder to concentrate on the meaning when there was no evidence that it was not found [see what I mean?]. "no reason you can't get a little fancier" [page 531]. Why not just say:
You could get a little fancier?
You could get a little fancier within reason?
This happens all the way through the book, so heads up.
I liked the following chapters quite a bit:
Chapter 4 blocking bad data
Chapter 15 automating tasks with macros
Chapter 16 automating tasks with visual basic
Chapter 17 writing smarter code
Part Six was the best
Chapter 18 sharing a database with multiple users
Chapter 19 importing and exporting data
Chapter 20 connecting access to sql server
Chapter 21 connecting access to SharePoint
These last two chapters were the very best in the book, depending on whether you were more interested in the sql server database or the collaborative issues surrounding SharePoint.
On page 640, one of the top reasons to switch to Sql Server: Real security
So does Access have Unreal Security? Not enough of a fine grained model? That is real reassuring...
OK, so I did read it, scrutinize it, check the fine points. When I mention that it is worth 5 stars and every penny you might have to spend to get it, that takes everything into account. The book asks questions like: Can you trust Microsoft? [Page 641], so some balanced point of view is being used by the author. Well done.
I really like Access 2007 and find it to be a quantum leap forward. Try it, you'll like it.

Detailed information & instruction on the latest version of Access.......2007-01-12
This book teaches you how to design and maintain databases, search them for information, and build attractive forms using the new version of Access. There's also material on Access programming for automating common tasks. Access 2007 is quite a bit different from previous versions, and has a brand new interface. Once you master Access's new style, you'll be able to build databases rather quickly. The problem is that with Office 2007, you get no printed user guide at all. To learn about the thousands of features included in the software, Microsoft expects you to read the online help. The Microsoft help screens are helpful if you're looking for a quick description of something. If you're seeking information more on the art than science of Access, such as chart creation, you'll find nothing of real use there. This book excels at teaching aspects of Access that involve more wisdom than dictionary definition. This book is divided into seven parts, each containing several chapters:
Part One: Storing Information in Tables. In this part, you'll build your first database and learn how to add and edit tables that store information. Then you'll pick up the skills you need to stop mistakes before they happen, browse around your database, and link tables together.
Chapter 1. Creating Your First Database
Chapter 2. Building Smarter Tables
Chapter 3. Mastering the Datasheet: Sorting, Searching, Filtering, and More
Chapter 4. Blocking Bad Data
Chapter 5. Linking Tables with Relationships
Part Two: Manipulating Data with Queries. In this part, you'll build queries, apply changes, and summarize vast amounts of information.
Chapter 6: Queries That Select Records
Chapter 7: Essential Query Tricks
Chapter 8: Queries That Update Records
Chapter 9: Analyzing Data with Crosstab Queries and Pivot Tables
Part Three: Printing Reports. This part shows you how to use reports to take the raw data in your tables and format it into attractive printouts, complete with fancy formatting and subtotals.
Chapter 10: Creating Reports
Chapter 11: Designing Advanced Reports
Part Four: Building a User Interface with Forms. In this part, you'll build forms, which are customized windows that make data entry easy, even for those new to Access.
Chapter 12: Creating Simple Forms
Chapter 13: Designing Advanced Forms
Chapter 14: Building a Navigation System
Part Five: Programming Access. Shows how to use macros and Visual Basic programming to automate complex tasks and solve common challenges.
Chapter 15: Automating Tasks with Macros
Chapter 16: Automating Tasks with Visual Basic
Chapter 17: Writing Smarter Code
Part Six: Sharing Access with the Rest of the World. In this part, you'll learn how exchange data between Access and files such as text documents and Excel spreadsheets. You'll also see how to use Access to interact with some of Microsoft's server software such as SQL Server and SharePoint Server.
Chapter 18: Sharing a Database with Multiple Users
Chapter 19: Importing and Exporting Data
Chapter 20: Connecting Access to SQL Server
Chapter 21: Connecting Access to SharePoint
Part Seven: Appendix. This book wraps up with an appendix that shows how to customize the Quick Access toolbar to get easy access to your favorite commands.
I found this manual to be head and shoulders above all of the cheap "shovelware" books on such subjects that often have all the information you need, but are disorganized. I haven't seen any of the new versions of the "Que" books that always come out on Access, but I haven't been that satisfied with them in the past. I recommend this book for anybody planning on using Access 2007.
