The only book you need!.......2007-09-10
This book teaches that even if you are not the next Amazon, ebay, or Google, you can still make a million on the internet. You just need to find a niche that is underserved.
I purchased "Starting an Online Business for Dummies" and the reviews were mixed. In someone's reviews, they mentioned this book and said it was much better. They suggested buying this book instead of the Dummies book. I took the advice, and am glad I did!
The book is great because it helps you understand that you don't need to be a billion dollar business to start with. Even small, underserved niche markets can earn a million.
I highly recommend this book if you are considering an ebusiness. It is well worth the money. I have been talking about this book to many people who have asked to borrow the book. I keep telling them to pick up their own copy because I am still using it as a reference! It is a great book!

Do no give your money to this Author.......2007-09-08
If you already know what a "blog" is and you're fully proficient in searching the internet with google or yahoo, you're probably too sophisticated for this book. Fox's target are people with very little education (He introduces us at one point to the fancy MBA word, "business plan"). Fox also uses the website he started for his wife and mother as case studies. I guess I should have known better. After all, it is called 'Internet Riches" and has a picture of some guy driving in a brand new convertible on the cover.

Customer Reviews:
Well Written and Very Comprehensive.......2007-06-26
This is an excellent book for those looking for a simplified approach to retirement funding.
A Valuable Case Study.......2007-05-12
I enjoy Ray's work. His book walks you through the financial planning process and clearly illustrates how it is done right. The first step of the process is factfinding and educating. The second is suggesting solutions. Ray's mastery of the process shines through and provides enough information to help you get started with your own plan.
Something for Everyone...........2007-04-05
This is an excellent book for the beginner to the more sophisticated person to consider when managing your retirement funds. Ray gives thoughtful insight into the potential investment strategies for three different "buckets of money". The difference in the 3 buckets is the time horizon the funds will be needed and the various amounts of investment risk that could be assumed in each time period.
His plan makes amazing sense and I have utlized it successfully in my personal retirement plan (I am 46 & retired) and my mother's (who is now 70 1/2). I have listened to Ray's business talk show for the past several years and also seen him speak at a free weekend morning seminar in Portland, OR. His personal judgement and that of his "brain trust" is safe, sound and easily followed.
I have purchased this book for myself and multiple family members/friends for their consideration. It has always gotten favorable reviews. I just purchased his newest book, "Ready..Set..Retire: Financial Strategies for the Rest of Your Life". I am anxiously awaiting it's delivery for any new information he has to share!
Finally a simple method.......2007-01-18
Whenever a financial advisor's starts to speak, I yawn intellectually. There are so many products and financial terms that I can't grasp it all. Enter Lucia with a plan so simple that even I can understand it. I loved listening to the "The Ray Lucia Show" and the book did not disappoint me.
"Don't run out of money before you run out of time"
Buckets of Money.......2006-11-05
I love the book. It's packed with solid information in a very easy-to-read format.

Very Helpful.......2007-10-24
This is a very helpful book and there are plenty of valuable tips that make it a worthy investment. I don't understand some of the negative reviews, perhaps these readers were expecting the Holy Grail.
BEST ADSENSE BOOK EVER!.......2007-10-19
I have read tons of books on online markting. Joel Comm has done an EXCELLENT job at putting together a real clear and well written guide on how to leverage AdSense.

The AdSense Code: What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense
I have bought and read this book and found it to be a very good book to give you an over view of how to maximize you AdSense exposure to increase revenue . This book, also, explains how Google search engine works, which I've found it even more interesting. I have added Google AdSense, search option, and referrals, to my web site to give it a business look, you can see it at

to give you a good visual image.
Easy Read and Has Informative Content.......2007-10-12
I enjoyed this book and definitely learned things I did not know about optimizing page layouts and ad styles on web pages. The author also provides a lot of links and information about tools that can be used to manage and monitor your adSense account. The only slightly negative thing to say is the author spends quite a bit of time advertising his own products, but hey we live in a capitalist system. This book was worth the money.
Not a bad book on Adsense.......2007-10-12
I read Joels other books on Adsense as well and
this one goes into some more in depth detail on
certain aspects of Adsense. I recommend it and give
it four stars.
Book Description
Life can be tough for real estate professionals these days. Even with interest rates at historically low levels, the uncertain economy makes homeowners hesitant to relocate or trade up. There just aren't that many clients out there, and the few who exist generate fierce competition. In fact, it seems the single ""hot area"" is foreclosures. But that's not necessarily bad news.
Conti and Finkel's book is a good ""crash course"" for real estate brokers and agents wanting to understand this area and explains the intricacies involved in funding investment deals, using various buying/closing methods and employing exit strategies. Thanks to the book as well as workshops and seminars offered by the two authors, thousands of people each year learn the art of lucrative real estate investing.

Investing in Foreclosures.......2007-10-17
Easy to read and understand. The Foreclosure process and strategies are presented with real life examples that help you to apply and to formulate your own strategies. It is also a good reference book.
Powerful evidence .......2007-05-25
Making Big Money Investing in Foreclosures without cash or credit is a morally courageous examination of real estate investing!! Peter Conti gives powerful evidence of new ways of investing. In this successful oriented book the author minimizes risk taking and explores objective ways towards successful investing. Must read!!
Excellent overview of Foreclosure purchasing.......2006-12-22
I had run across my first pre-forclosure deal and needed to get a basic understanding of the steps and processes. Peter and David's book provided that wonderfully. I was able to use the steps and scripts to sign up a deal, provide help to a stressed-out seller and reach the proper department at the lender. The suggestions of how to talk to both the seller and the lender have been very helpful with dealing with the human side of things. I felt very comfortable with the style and the seller has been very appreciative. I didn't feel manipulative at all.
Making Big Money Investing in Foreclosures: Without Cash or Credit by Peter Conti.......2006-11-09
An official Library Weekly book review.
REVIEW:
This book generically highlights a few ideas on how to invest in
foreclosures and how to finance it without using cash or credit.
Part of the formula is the use of "double closings" which allows
you to simply invest with a minimal amount and use the sell price
as the payment during the title closing. The difficult aspect of
this is it doesn't truly describe certain foreclosure techniques
available in each state (generically applied). Additionally,
you may need to read this with a grain of salt with the current
real estate market conditions.

Another Finkel disaster.......2006-06-28
How to get the most money for your property. This topic, worthy of a book, gets a couple of pages which are platitudes. This is the second book of his I've read recently in which he talks about determining the market price. The approach he advocates will result in a variance with the market of 40%, if not more. And, he lumps apartment buildings in with houses as if they were valued the same way. Of course, they are not.
On the plus side, in this book he recognizes that people do tend to get legal advice before signing a contract. He tells you how to diffuse the lawyer's criticism before it happens.
During my years as an apartment broker, I dealt with more than a few lawyers, including clients. Maybe his approach will work, but I'd think not.
This is another feel-good, cheerleading book. Rich Dad, Poor Dad does a better job of cheerleading, but has even less substance than this lightweight work.
Once again, the author has silly sales techniques that don't work. Once again, let me point you to the best writer in sales: Neil Rackham.
Spare yourself time, money and effort. Pass on everything David Finkel writes or promotes (as I shall hereafter).

Book Description
The Ankh-Morpork Post Office is running like . . . well, not at all like a government office. The mail is delivered promptly; meetings start and end on time; five out of six letters relegated to the Blind Letter Office ultimately wend their way to the correct addresses. Postmaster General Moist von Lipwig, former arch-swindler and confidence man, has exceeded all expectations—including his own. So it's somewhat disconcerting when Lord Vetinari summons Moist to the palace and asks, "Tell me, Mr. Lipwig, would you like to make some real money?"
Vetinari isn't talking about wages, of course. He's referring, rather, to the Royal Mint of Ankh-Morpork, a venerable institution that haas run for centuries on the hereditary employment of the Men of the Sheds and their loyal outworkers, who do make money in their spare time. Unfortunately, it costs more than a penny to make a penny, so the whole process seems somewhat counterintuitive.
Next door, at the Royal Bank, the Glooper, an "analogy machine," has scientifically established that one never has quite as much money at the end of the week as one thinks one should, and the bank's chairman, one elderly Topsy (née Turvy) Lavish, keeps two loaded crossbows at her desk. Oh, and the chief clerk is probably a vampire.
But before Moist has time to fully consider Vetinari's question, fate answers it for him. Now he's not only making money, but enemies too; he's got to spring a prisoner from jail, break into his own bank vault, stop the new manager from licking his face, and, above all, find out where all the gold has gone—otherwise, his life in banking, while very exciting, is going to be really, really short. . . .
Customer Reviews:
Good Fun!.......2007-10-24
Moist Von Lipwig is one of the funniest and most likable characters that Pratchett has invented. This book provides a great romp through the world of banking which has never met anyone like Pratchett's characters.
Pretty good follow-up to "Going Postal".......2007-10-24
I've recently been re-reading a lot of the earlier Discworld novels, so coming now to this brand new one makes apparent Pratchett's ever-upward development as a wryly funny and extremely enjoyable writer. When last we saw Moist von Lipwig, highly talented ex-con-man (forcibly reformed by Lord Vetinari, the Patrician), he had turned his considerable ingenuity to reforming Ankh-Morpork's moribund post office, which had been put out of business by the invention of the Grand Trunk semaphore network of high-speed, day-and-night semaphore towers that could transmit messages across the disc in a matter of hours. Having succeeded beyond anyone's expectations -- and inventing philately while he was at it -- Moist is put in charge of the Royal Bank, which also houses the Royal Mint. The Patrician has great plans for the city ("the Undertaking") and he's going to need a reformed system of finance to pay for it. Lipwig conceives the idea of replacing the gold standard with paper money -- especially since the ten tons of gold that is supposed to be in the Bank's vault, and for which he signed a receipt -- has gone missing. Then there's his fiancée, Adora Belle Dearheart, champion smoker and tireless worker on behalf of the Golem Trust, whose quest for unfreed golems has unanticipated consequences. And the mutually litigious Lavish family, whose bank it used to be and who want it back. The pacing seems a bit off this time, moving rather too slowly in the first three-quarters of the story, as if the book should have been twice as long -- but the author makes up for that in the last few chapters. On the other hand, Pratchett has never been more quotable, scattering gems like "the girl could flounce better than a fat turkey on a trampoline," and "he'd reached the point where he was so wet that he should be approaching dryness from the other end." Who else would describe dark organ music as "Cantata and Fugue for Someone Who Has Trouble with the Pedals"? Regarding the Patrician, one of the characters muses that one cannot plan the future. "Only presumptuous fools plan. The wise man STEERS." Marvelous stuff. Oh, and there are hints about what Vetinari has in mind for Lipwig's future, so one hopes there will be a third installment to look forward to.
Silly Money.......2007-10-22
Moist von Lipwig is back, and life has become boring.
After his exploits in "Going Postal" his life has settled into a steady routine, broken only by midnight saunters across the rooftops of Ankh-Morpork.
This is about to change as he finds himself in charge of the Royal Mint and faces off against the forces of stagnation and intrigue, who are not only trying to kill off Moist, but are also after Vetinari.
Sounds good, but isn't.
Terry Pratchett, and I really hate to say this, has not been able to create an original plot. "Making Money" is an almost exact copy of "Going Postal" and it really shows. If you are a diehard Pratchett fan get the book and enjoy the return of some of your favourite characters. If you are more interrested in an original plot I would strongly recommend you get one of the other Discworld classics.
Making Money.......2007-10-22
Terry Pratchett fans will not be disappointed. He delivers another funny, satirical view of life, even in a fantasy world.
If you have never read a Discworld novel, it won't matter, this book can stand alone. But beware, you will get hooked and join the millions of us who are addicted to Pratchett.
This is a continuation in the varied career of Moist von Lipwig, who was introduced in "Going Postal" - yes, another good Pratchett romp.
In this book he is once again "volunteered" by Lord Vetinari to the post of manager at the Royal Mint of Ankh-Morpork. From that point on it becomes another literary joy-ride, very entertaining and as always a telling commentary on life anywhere.
making money.......2007-10-22
another triumph for terry.
all the dicsworld books are good but this one is up there with night watch and going postal.
the characters are normally insane, and the humor is constant.
outstanding!!!!!
Book Description
Retire Secure! tackles the number one fear facing most IRA and retirement plan owners: running out of money too soon. Lange, a nationally recognized IRA expert, offers specific and practical strategies to successfully navigate the three stages of retirement planning: accumulation, distribution, and estate planning.
Retire Secure! explains the tax advantages and long term wealth building strategies of selectively and strategically putting money into IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401(k)s, Roth 401(k)s and the myriad other retirement plan options available to individuals working in the corporate world, the non-profit sector, as well as individual proprietors. The book proves that putting money into tax advantaged retirement plans beats “traditional saving” in the after-tax environment.
The book sheds new light on best practices for spending your IRA and retirement plan dollars and your traditional savings. Many readers will be surprised to discover that the order in which assets are spent is not a trivial consideration—it can make or break the bank.
It also outlines Lange’s exceptional estate plan–a plan that has been featured in the
Wall Street Journal and many other fine financial journals.
The book offers financial planning strategies and tactics in plain English that everyone can understand—and using humor and interesting characters in real life situations the book escapes the dreaded dry financial tome tone. For example, Chapter 1 offers a great mini case study that charts the financial destiny of Mr. Pay Taxes Later and Mr. Pay Taxes Now. Both start saving when they are age 30, but when Mr. Pay Taxes Now reaches age 90, he is broke, while Mr. Pay Taxes Later has $1,946,949 left. Chapter 8 is devoted to a complete case study of “Eddie’s and Emily’s” entire retirement decision making process.
The book is endorsed by more than 31 leading financial experts including
Charles Schwab, and
Roger G. Ibbotson, Yale Professor and perhaps the world’s foremost authority on asset allocation. As a bonus, readers who purchase this book can receive a free information-packed CD.
"
Retire Secure! is your playbook for winning the retirement game and beyond. It shows you how to capitalize on little known provisions of the tax law that will make your retirement savings last several lifetimes, leveraging your hard earned money into a family legacy. Best of all, you can rely on the advice here since it is written by one of the nation's leading retirement tax planning authorities.”

Excellent book on financial planing and retirement.......2007-06-12
Bravo!
This book is a must read if you're planning to retire wealthy, or at least securely.
And...
Every college student should be required to study this book carefully if they want to avoid all the common mistakes and money pitfalls that 98% of us fall into. I wish I had read this when I was in college... I would be $100,000 wealthier.

What everyone needs to read and understand to make the best retirement decisions.......2007-01-03
James Lang has had so much excellent advice for my husband and me that we purchased 7 copies for our adult children and are hopeful they will benefit from the knowledge in the books and cds.
Retire Secure-Solid Advice For All.......2006-10-21
Reading "Retire Secure" will not alone make you rich. However, if you read and follow Mr. Lange's advice, you will build wealth and then protect it to the fullest extent possible. The book outlines a very clear path to maximize savings using the most effective vehicle available to you. Then it goes on to provide a thorough roadmap to minimizing your tax consequences and maximizing your after tax returns. Finally the book provides several different strategies for passing along wealth to your heirs while once again factoring in the greedy hands of Uncle Sam. The author not only provides you with the theory, as many financial planners do, but backs up his recommendations with solid proofs and confirms them with amusing case studies. Overall this book is an excellent source for information on the use of retirement funds for wealth building and hopefully inheritance to pass on.
Good for Advisors and Investors.......2006-10-11
James Lange's Retire Secure, offers great techniques to help persons planning for retirement. He is on the right track - to postpone and minimize the impact of taxes - in order to maximize the retiree's money and extend the spendable income. This book makes a valuable contribution to the field of personal finance - for both the consumers and the professional advisors who serve them.
My Roadmap.......2006-09-19
I find James Lange's book to be excellant. When we want to go someplace we're not familiar with, who uses MapQuest? Why? It gives us the starting point and the ending point. This book gives so much valuable information. I'll be retiring in 10 to 11 years, so my interest is quite serious. I stumbled accross Mr. Lange's website and find that to also be a fine source of information. As a 'boomer' I'm amazed at what the internet has done for our culture i.e. sharing of information.

Why do so many otherwise rational individuals make irrational decisions when it comes to money? Financial journalist Gary Belsky and Cornell University psychology professor Thomas Gilovich contend the answers can be found--and the deficiencies remedied--with help from a relatively new science called behavioral economics. Still largely unknown outside academic circles, the field can be traced to research on the impact of rewards and punishments on human judgment and decision- making that first were undertaken at Jerusalem's Hebrew University some 30 years ago. In Why Smart People Make Big Money Mistakes , Belsky and Gilovich update this pioneering work and show readers how to understand exactly why they invest, spend, and save as they do. More importantly, using examples that everyone can identify with and language that anyone can understand, the authors offer dozens of workable suggestions that can help readers manage their money better. "We believe that by identifying the psychological causes behind many types of financial decisions," they write, "you can effectively change your behavior in ways that will ultimately put more money in your pocket and help you keep more of what you already have." --Howard Rothman

Why do so many otherwise smart people make foolish financial choices? Why do investors sell stocks just before they skyrocket -- and cling to others as they plummer? Why do shoppers overspend when using credit cards rather than cash? What do our habits of tipping or buying lottery tickets indicate about our relationship with money?
In this fascinating investigation of the ways we spend, invest, save, borrow, and waste money, Gary Belsky and Thomas Gilovich reveal the psychological causes -- the patterns of thinking and decision making -- of irrational behavior. Most important, they focus on the decisions we make every day and, using entertaining examples, provide invaluable tips on avoiding the financial faux pas that can cost thousands of dollars each year.

Great Introduction to Behavioral Finance.......2007-07-21
For more than 20 years I have been fascinated why so many people make financial decisions which defy rationality. Unfortunately, I find it extremely difficult to read and comprehend most of the research papers that has been done in the field of behavioral finance. The last 5 years have seen several good books explaining the results of the emerging field of behavioral finance. This book is one of those good books.
As a fan of index funds, I enjoyed reading this book's explanation and recommendation for suggesting index funds.
This book is very readable and is an excellent primer on the major concepts which are emerging from behavioral finance research.
Socrates was right when he uttered his famous quote "Know Thy Self". One of the hardest things to do is to understand why we do what we do sometimes. This book helps explain some of this natural human behavior, and how we can manage it to make more rational financial decisions.
I would suggest companion books to supplement this book including:

Entertaining and good stuff.......2007-07-03
The book is easy to read and it also covers a lot of interesting topics. Highly recommended.
One of my favorite personal finance books.......2007-05-15
It's been years since I first read this book, but I still reference it often when talking about money decisions. It's readable, fun, and informative. I also enjoy the situational questions that begin each chapter. Even when you can see what point they're getting it, it's easy to see yourself making the same mistake in a moment of decision.
Out of the ivory tower and into your real life.......2007-01-09
this book is an easy well-written guide to understanding the academic field of behavioral economics and to bring it into the real world of our lives. The original research studies are really dry and hard to read even for a psychologist (I am one).....this is reader friendly and practical. Helped me understand some of the errors I made and still fall into....like noticing the stocks I have really done well with and forgetting about the ones that did not do so well so I think I have done really well in the market the past year..but then I look at the cold hard numbers and guess what? I did not do nearly as well I thought. Very helpful to use with patients who are having credit card woes (future dollars are so cheap). Dr. Mary Gresham Atlanta Ga
Are you mentally fit to make money decisions?.......2006-12-21
This book helps to show you some of the common pitfalls that people make when making decisions involving money. While there are topics related to investing, there are also general "money-decision" topics. There were actually some mistakes that I did not even think of but when I read them I realized that many of my friends made these mistakes. For me the biggest lesson that I learned was the part about mental accounting. This is one of those books that you think is all common sense but when you think about it, you realize that you too make these mistakes.

Amazing!.......2007-10-05
The first thing I learned from this book is that I'm NOT ready to start my own faux/mural painting business!! This book is chuck full of information from someone that has been there. The author really explains scenarios well, and prepares you for, from what I can tell, every situation. In the back of the book she provides sample forms, and check lists, etc. I really feel that this is a true gift for anyone interested in this field. Even people that have been doing it for a few years might get some good tips here. Great job!
Very good book.......2007-01-19

Book Description
If you own a second home, you have the potential to boost your annual income by literally thousands of dollars by turning it into a vacation rental that earns money when you aren't using it. In this book-and-CD package, you'll learn exactly how to do it. Even if you're already using your second home as a vacation rental, the book can help you maximize the income it generates each year. It doesn't matter where you want to be along the spectrum of possibilities:
1. If you've never offered your property as a vacation rental before, you'll find all the tools, tips, and information you need to save thousands in commissions by handling everything yourself. It really isn't that hard to do.
2. If you prefer to have a rental agent or property manager take care of everything for you but aren't quite satisfied with the number of bookings you're getting, you'll discover ways to inexpensively promote your property to prospective renters from all over the world--and how to negotiate lower management commissions on the business that you bring in.
3. Or maybe you'd rather steer a middle course by handling the marketing and bookings yourself and buying cleaning and maintenance services from a property manager or from some local firm. That, too, is a viable option.
Whatever course you choose, you'll find everything you need in this book/CD package. Designed as a complete
Vacation Property Owner's Toolkit, the package consists of a 300-page book in a three-ring binder, and a CD containing crucial rental forms and checklists that you can customize and print out for your own use. The CD also contains a collection of Windows programs selected to help you manage and market your vacation property easily and effectively.
And, by the way, after you've applied what you've learned, you can probably reduce or completely eliminate any current print-advertising expenses. The approach described in this package really is that powerful.

Engaging and Full of Practical Wisdom!.......2006-09-05
We're pleased to share this review written by travel writer and vacation-rental guru Joyce Hadley Copeland, author of the "Renting Paradise" series of e-guidebooks on exceptional vacation rental properties. The review originally appeared in Ms. Copeland's Ramblings blog at her RentingParadise.com website and is posted here with her permission. -- Alfred & Emily Glossbrenner, Authors
DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME... THEN AGAIN, MAYBE YOU SHOULD
If you've had great experiences renting vacation homes--and especially if you've been swept into the welcoming (usually figurative) embrace of a particularly passionate owner--a funny thing might start happening. You might start imagining yourself doing the vacation rental thing yourself. And why not ask Alfred and Emily Glossbrenner?
If you own or are thinking of buying a vacation rental property, the Glossbrenners will show you how to pay your mortgage and make money by renting it yourself. Their 300-page book/CD seminar-in-a-box is based on what the couple learned from a decade renting a Williamsburg-style cottage on their property in Bucks County, PA. Today their second home is routinely fully booked as much as six months in advance.
The book is engaging (the Glossbrenners are successful authors with over 60 books to their credit) and full of practical wisdom, step-by-step instructions and clear examples that will guide you in maximizing the Internet to promote and rent your dream vacation or retirement home (finding the right listing sites, boosting your search engine ranking etc.).
HERE'S WHAT I ESPECIALLY LOVE: Guidelines for writing a property description! "Write from the Heart!" These smart-cookie marketers advocate infusing rental descriptions with "personality." (Because, aren't we all tired of the hype?) They talk about "painting a picture" for rental prospects... going into detail about what you (the owner) personally love about the property such as distinctive architectural details or an interesting history... weaving in off-the-beaten-path secret places you've discovered. That's music to a prospective vacation renter's ears. AND they devote a whole section to "Enhancing Your Listing With Great Photos." Hallelujah!
The Glossbrenners also include a CD containing a collection of personally-selected Windows programs to help you manage and market your vacation rental property--in what is becoming a highly competitive market niche--in your spare time.
Check out the 30-day Money-Back Guarantee. But also check out the Glossbrenners' promise: "Regardless of your rental rate, and regardless of season, if you get just one extra booking as a result of what we have to teach you, this vacation rental owner's training package will have paid for itself many times over. And it will continue to do so year after year from now on."
Pssst: Check with your accountant. You may be able to write the whole thing off as a business expense.

The Bible for Vacation Rentals By Owner.......2006-02-25
I have read countless books, magazines, travel guides, marketing manuals to better help me effectively market my vacation rental home. I only wish I read this book first! Emily and Alfred Glossbrenner's book is THE BIBLE of ALL Vacation Rental "How To" books. Skip the "Cliff Notes" and go straight to the source! Since incorporating their tried and true marketing approach, my summer vacation rental property is booked for the summer of 2006 and it is only February!
The best tool for a new vacation rental owner!.......2005-08-02
I have read every book in this category (at least every book that is available on Amazon) and have to say that Glossbrenners' book is the best guide for a vacation rental owner, especially someone just starting out. Alfred and Emily guide you through all of the minute detals of setting up the rental, from the right type of furnishings to the beach towels, pet policies, etc. They carefully explain the possibilities available to a vacation rental owner with Internet advertisement, how to choose the sites to advertise on and go into great detail with setting up listings on the 4 largest US vacation rental listing sites. The CD that comes with the book contains forms that are a great help for creating your first rental agreement or a "getting ready" check list, among others.
We have bought our first rental a little over a year ago and were fully booked for the season within 6 weeks from going online, based on suggestions we implemented from Glossbrenners book. We purchased two more properties this year and once again, having used the basic techniques and tools from Alfred and Emily's book, all 3 properties were fully booked in 2005. This occupancy rate is significantly higher than average for our area. I credit this book with our initial and continuing success.
Thank you, Alfred and Emily!
This book is excellent for renting out your vacation home!.......2005-04-22
We have decided to rent out our San Diego home this summer. Thanks to this book, we are already ahead of schedule; we have 4 out of the 8 weeks booked. My friends in San Diego are impressed and are now working at renting out their houses as well.
The book is well-organized and steps you through step-by-step on how to rent out your vacation property yourself. It is well written and explains everything in the right level of detail.
The biggest problem that I have now is that my friends keep borrowing the book, I need to tell them to buy their own.
Regards,
David Brehm

Excellent work.......2007-09-16
This book is full of good ideas, also none of these are new. The author's excellent work in back testing all the ideas in this book deserves praise.
THE BOOK IS GOOD VALUE.
Great book. See examples of working mechanical systems........2007-01-14
This book takes 10 biases, explains their reasoning and gives quantitative back-up for how each does in a Tradestation simulated back-test. Art is a successful mechanical trader so you get a look into how he thinks and how he interprets the results. Each bias is relatively simple and demonstrated to have a small but definable edge across multiple markets.
The aspect to this book that is most interesting is how to integrate these various small biases into a master composite 'index'. As Bob Pardo writes in the Foreward section of this book "indexing can be very powerful... It can be a very effective way to 'summarize' large amounts of complex information."
I find that if I can take just 1 or 2 practical ideas from a book, it is a good book. This book did more than that -- it got me started on 'indexing' for individual stock lists and sparking new directions for me. I highly recommend this book to anyone -- but especially those with some kind of competence in quantitative methods to trading.
The title is misleading.......2006-11-26
I bought the book by mistake, please note that it is not a book on "futures" as in Forex but about stock trading systems. I found the book a bit boring with many setups that are all mechnical; this book might works for some but not for the discretionary traders...and if I ever hear another menacing words about fears and greeds just scare people into reading, I might as well close the book and throw it in the corner. All in all, this book might serves your purpose just like the 2 comments written above.
Maybe one of the best books of this type I've ever read. .......2006-11-22
It's interesting how simple Art Collins' systems are, and yet, if we can believe his results, they produce impressive profits anyway. There's no reason to doubt them: Art not only offers verbal assurances, he invites us to test against his results for ourselves. He fully discloses every necessary rule and formula along the way. Some of this book might be hard for neophytes to follow, but with a little work, there should be plenty within the text that's workable for everyone. Maybe one of the best books of this type I've ever read.
Real Life Advice.......2006-11-17
There are two things I love about this book. One, the author backs every
contention with historic performance summaries. How many investment books
do that-like maybe one in a thousand? Second, you just know the author's
expertise is genuine. Read Art Collins' daily commentaries for Elite Trader
and Tiger Shark, or any of his magazine articles. He earns his living
trading-he's therefore, unlike most self-appointed gurus, actually walking
the walk.
This is really exciting stuff! I've already started testing his ideas
on my own.
