It gives u a synopsis and then talks to u about the motifs, and symbols important for the essays. It contains famous books like Invisible man, pride and prejudice, A street care named desire, and many more (only about ten books). The practice test are also great and helpful
so in all, i highly recommend getting this book, like other great Barron's titles.

Kaplan provides 3 very helpful practice exams and a solid list of literary terms. Their multiple choice advice was generally useful, too.
If you want to buy only 1 AP English Lit. prep book, I'd recommend the Princeton Review. It's more compact and doesn't beat around the bush.

Although, NO BOOK CAN SUPPLEMENT A GOOD LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE TEACHER; this book does a good job explaining the content very well. There are SIX FULL-LENGTH PRACTICE EXAMS, each exam has a very thorough explanation of the questions and essays.
