If your interested in the numerology of dreams this is a good book to own. But if you are looking for good dream interpretations such as a dream dictionary this book is junk it will dissapoint you it is very vague.

When I got this book I took it to a sleepover with my friends and it was a lot of fun.We were cracking up for hours.But you shouldn't take it to seriously because after all it is just a book and I seriously doubt it has mystical powers.But over all if you just want to play around and are interested in predictions and that type of thing you should enjoy it.

A sweet, concise description for non-Japanese........1998-07-25

The only thing I don't like about Amazon.com is the lack of descriptions on some of the less popular books, like this one, so I was especially pleased when I saw how small and well done this book is. Bound in what looks like rice paper, with double pages for each printed page, its a brief description of the 7 gods--which I've seen everywhere in Japan and never really understood. This would make an excellent gift for anyone interested in religions--and is almost easy enough for older children. A real treat.

I didn't give this book 5 stars bcz unfortunately it does not cover a lot of dreams. You can dream lots of things & not find it in this book. Still there is enough you can find to still purchase it. I gave it a high rating bcz 1. It is a very simple & quick book 2. It is Nostradamus! My number 2 reason makes me think that this is the best dream book out there bcz, even though you might not find every word or dream in it, the meanings have to be accurate bcz it's the great Nostradamus.

Most people think of Nostradamus as the French seer who foretold events of major coincidence centuries in advance of the actual event taking place. We all know that Nostradamous foretold of World War I and II and even described Hitler's rise to power.What most of those who have read Nostradamus do not realize is that he was also a great psychic who could predict the future of individuals whose path he crossed. Some were royalty -- kings and queens -- but no man (or woman) went unnoticed.This book is sort of a Nostradamus Code which enables the reader to take their dreams and attribute numbers to them. Apparently, Nostradamus studied the holy scriptures as well as the Kabala and so he was a master of numerology.I tried a couple of the personal predictions in the book and they worked better then I had expected. When you consider there are several hundred books on Nostradamus out there, at least this one is a bit different.

apply the concepts that author will munson states in his book and see a change in your life. one concept that he talks about (which i will mention on here) is about (believing). it has many elements on the Christian light(which is great) and i say this is an excellent book. A book that provides a map or a road toward the endgoal.i agree with will munson, about all of us having luck, it just takes more hard work, applying the principles that he talks about, being optimistic, and simply believing (having faith)in oneself-always-and not to be overtaken/conquered by the negatism that comes our way(it is hard but you must do:always).

if you ever wondered, why am i not lucky? then get this book and give it a try. there is nothing to lose at all (just a couple of dollars) but gain new direction in your present very important life.

i am keeping my copy forever. recommended 5 stars.

I felt lucky the minute I picked up this book just a few short years ago. You see, I had taken a class that the author taught on publishing books. Later on I went on to publishing many books for other authors and I met my future husband, all when I least expected. How did this happen? By using the guidelines in Mr. Munson's book. Believe me he is an expert in his field. The book is well written and a happy type of book, very upbeat and the readers subconsciously follow his advice after reading it. I am happy to see his success as an author. I hope he goes on to write more.

If you have subscribed &/or read the series of Bottom Line/Personal newsletter, then you will not be disappointed by this book. The author of this book also happens to be the editor of the newsletter.
In the 80's as well as 90's, I pursued & applied many of the strategies outlined in the newsletter. Some of the strategies have been artfully captured in this wonderful book.
To a lot of people, writings about luck may seem to be hyperbolic stuff. From my personal experience, and I am sure most readers will concur with me, luck is, in reality, OPPORTUNITY + PREPARATION.
Always remember this, opportunity only knocks once at every man's door. So if it comes knocking at your door, & if you are not prepared to receive (in this case, hear) it, it's gone!
In a nut shell, this book shows you how to be prepared for luck. Are you ready?
I would like to say this, the strategies outlined in this book, when applied, will build & enhance your personal anticipatory management skills. Anticipation is a very important skill.

A practical and useful book.......2002-07-30

This book is great. The title can be a little misleading. The book is about behaviors you can adopt to influence things to go the way you want them to. It's not a new age hocus pocus book. It is a real world street smart book on a variety of ways to influence people and situations to go well for you.

There are a lot of suggestions on improving your luck in addition to the seven main methods that the author lists in the table of contents. Some of it is commonsense, but sometimes we need a reminder. Some of the advice is immeadiately applicable. Get this book!!

Best book since How to Win Friends $ Influence People!.......1999-11-03

There are a lot of self-help books out there, and many of them just saying the same boring thing. This book, however, is really smart and practical. It should rank up there with Napolean Hill and Dale Carnegie as a classic book on creating success. I felt his strategies were very realistic, made a lot of sense, and are doable! Easy to read and very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it.

It's easy to credit the success of others to luck--just happening to be at the right place at the right time. Not so, says author Marc Myers. Successful people make their own luck, the author says, and he cites case studies to prove his point. What we see as luck is usually the product of lots of hard work, and a willing to take some chances. (I personally know how hard at least one of his subjects worked--which, to me, proves the author's thesis). Certainly worth reading for anyone who wants some clues on what "luck" is all about--and about how the harder you work, the luckier you are apt to be.

The first section of the book has several repetitive gambling stories. Get the to the last half of the book, and that is where the real story is, and the real thought provoking ideas are developed.

Perhaps I was expecting too much from the book, but I just couldn't stand it. The whole thing was examples of people winning money, and showing how some of them can "sense" where winning slot machines and such are! I wish it would've given more information on the psychological aspect on increasing your luck by how you luck, but it did not. I would not recommend to anyone!

Courageous And Provocative.......2005-05-31

This book exceeded all of my expectations!
I am not a gambler so that theme didn't interest me,
but once I understood that the author was using
games of chance as a metaphor for our lives, I started
getting how really useful this book is and how his
whole perspective is a strategy for finding good fortune.
The author reveals a lot about himself, his own streaks
of bad luck and good luck, and I could really relate his
experiences to my own life.
After finishing the book, I began to see -- and feel -- the
circumstances of my life in a way that has proven really
beneficial. I haven't won the lottery...okay, I broke down
and bought a ticket...but that isn't what is important about
this book. It's about understanding that life has patterns
and rhythms and these can be shaped and manipulated by
our intentions and our intuition.
I highly recommend this book if you want a life changing
experience!

As the author of LUCKY YOU! may I take this opportunity to respond to comments made by several of the reviewers?!

Every author eventually discovers the hard way that publisher's have the final say over the title, subtitle, and backcover description of their book. That was certainly the case with me. The subtitle in particular, 'Proven Strategies For Finding Good Fortune,' bears no resemblance to my original title, but it is the representation the publisher had the legal right to impose.
To readers who feel the front and back cover misrepresent the contents of my book, please accept my apologies.

Having confessed this, I must take exception to some of the other comments, especially about its treatment of gambling. As I state in the book, games of chance are a metaphor for our lives. Every day we pull the lever of chance on our finances, our health, our safety, and our relationships. Gambling simply offers a short feedback loop between action and reward. With games of chance we can experiment at using our intuition to sense luck opportunities.It is a method for sharpening our skills in dealing with the challenges of life.

If I were writing this book again, more than two years after its completion, I would certainly place more emphasis on practical ways to enhance intuitive luck. This is an on-going consideration for me and has expanded since the book. Whow!!! This book is truely amazing. Amanda has the ability to bring the sophisticated information about astrology to a level that anyone, old and young can understand. Her wisdom about how the heavens work and how they affect each of us throughout our entire lives is phenomenal. I love how she organizes our lifes's chart with special tips. Oh, how true they are. As an astrology student I think this boook should be a "must buy" for those who are interested in Astrology and are novice at it. It is a delightful, easy read, and a well organized compilation of specific facts pertaining to each sun sign. Amanda Owen encompasses how each sign "relates" to home life, friendship, career, and relationships in an amiable manner. I particularly liked her compatibility guide on each sun sign with another sun sign. She illustrates ths part of the book with directness and humor. The knowledge offered here to the younger student is infectious! You may want to know more about yourself and everyone else, because you just may "meet" them some day.

Although Amanda's book was written for the teen audience, the info here is so universal a non-teen, like me, can enjoy it and refer to it over and over. Amanda's strength is her ability to make complex topics very clear and to communicate so everyone can understand their chart. This book found me out of the blue and I am glad it did.
