Understanding The Dreams You Dream Volume 2.......2007-02-22
This book is a great companion to the book Understanding the dreams you dream. It is very informative. The first book gives you great definitions and symbolic meanings to different things in your dreams. This book gives you a great guide to interpretation of your dreams. Any Christian wanting to understand how God speaks to you in dreams should get both books. It has great biblical keys and scriptures...
Understanding the Dreams You Dream Vol.2.......2007-01-16
This did not have the same kind of information as the first book. More reading and harder to find information as quickly as in Vol. 1.
A great prophetic reference.......2004-12-30
I was directed to this book by the Lord and have been able to make very good progress using this book to understand the dreams and visions given.
The root meaning of numbers, the different colors, the directions....I am just so thankful that this book is available.
This is indeed a great tool for God's people to understand His message, and a must-read for prophetic people.
Great Christian Dream Reference Book.......2004-01-10
Purchased and read this book this past holiday season. Excellent book on the meanings of symbols in God given dreams. Definately a future reference book for my dreams.

Book Description
What do clinicians need to know to safely and effectively prescribe psychotropic medications to elderly patients?
Understanding the complex pharmacological changes that occur with aging is critical to informed prescribing--yet much of today's practice in geriatric prescribing continues to be based on anecdotal evidence and case report data, instead of on much-needed controlled research studies. Navigating the vast database in geriatric psychopharmacology is a daunting task at best, leaving many clinicians overwhelmed and confused--and opening the door to potentially dangerous consequences for some of our most fragile patients.
Clinicians can now turn to this definitive handbook for answers. Here, three experienced pharmacologists provide a truly practical "how to" guide to prescribing medications in the geriatric population, drawing on their own clinical experience and their reading of the literature in geriatric psychopharmacology.
Unlike other hardcover-only references in this field, this concise handbook is replete with valuable advice (e.g., drug dosing, titration) for day-to-day clinical practice, including strategies for improving compliance among the elderly. Also included are unique quick-reference summaries of prescribing data on selected drugs in each class.
- The introduction focuses on the essentials of geriatric pharmacokinetics and a general approach to geriatric prescribing, offering guidelines on how to improve compliance in the elderly.
- The next four chapters each cover a major psychotropic class of medications--antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and anxiolytic and sedative-hypnotic medications--including information about pharmacology (baseline labs), clinical use (drug titration), side effects, and treatment. Here, at the end of each of these chapters, you'll find the unique "quick-reference" summaries of prescribing data for selected drugs in each class.
- Also detailed here are three critical areas of geriatric psychopharmacology--treatment of substance-related disorders, movement disorders, and dementias and other cognitive syndromes--areas that do not fit well into the traditional organization of psychopharmacology books and that therefore have seldom been the subject of in-depth discussions elsewhere in the literature.
Written for residents, fellows, and clinicians in psychiatry and medicine who diagnose and treat psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions that can affect geriatric patients, this clinical reference can be used across all treatment settings for the elderly (inpatient, outpatient, day hospital, consultation, and nursing homes). Geriatric and general psychiatrists, geriatric medical specialists, internists and family practitioners, medical students and residents, and case managers and social workers will all rely on this handy guide for the critical information needed to provide optimal care for our fast-growing population of elderly patients.

Excellent Genealogy Starting Point for Kids and Others.......1997-10-27
This book brings the study of genealogy alive by intertwining the author's own family search with the common experience of many of us to find our own roots and beginnings. It sensitively handles cultural differences and origins and attempts to highlight specific events that affected particular immigrant groups.
The frequent use of biographical resources (photographs, documents, sidenotes) allows the reader to relate the discussion of genealogy to actual people and events in history. Since this is also called the "Official Ellis Island Handbook" this book additionally gives a very personal and thorough look at what it meant to be an immigrant and the experience that awaited many of our ancestors when they arrived in America.
I highly recommend this book not only for children but for anyone that desires a concise definition of the field of genealogy and family history. Its highly visual format and organization also make it a great classroom tool.

Product Description
Risk and Promise is designed to help prospective international adoption parents better understand the risk factors as well as the protective factors a child from overseas is presenting, support the parents through the decision-making process, and guide them during the period of transition in their lives as their new child moves into their family. The premise of Risk and Promise is that the success of any adoption, both international and domestic, is a function of not only the capabilities and needs of the child, but also the expectations, characteristics, and lifestyle of the adoptive family members. It is important that prospective adoptive families assess their tolerance for uncertainty, for the potential challenges that the child may bring, and the parents ability (financial and otherwise) to modify their lifestyle in order to accommodate the demands of a child who may be quite challenging. Along these lines, a secondary objective of this book is to enlighten prospective adoptive parents regarding the extent of what may be required of them if, indeed, they are to fulfill the commitment that they are making in taking on the responsibility for a child whose needs will unfold over time.

Risk and Promise - a great wealth of knowledge.......2007-10-23
I thought this was a very good course. I have adopted before and took a parenting course, but this had so much more data than what I even received. I think it would be great for first time parents to learn what they can expect, and an excellent refresher course for families who are extending their already added on family.
Risk and Promise.......2007-10-18
Information provided was excellent. Very in-depth and well-rounded. Provided information on all aspects of adoption. Some of it did not apply to our situation, but the information was still helpful and gave us insight into what we would otherwise never know. It's a pretty easy read, but sometimes it was tough to read, since it doesn't mince words. You get the honest truth.
Good for first time Parents.......2007-10-17
This book is good for parents who are first time parents and if they do not have a social worker to explain things in detail. It has good charts.
Adoption lawyer's observations.......2007-08-12
Next June I will have been working in the adoption field for fourty years. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. I believe this book is a MUST for anyone contemplating a foreign adoption and should be considered by anyone adopting a child, foreign or domestic. It contains critical information to be considered in accepting a placement. Too often I have seen adoptive parents make emotional decisions which they later regreted. If one has made the caring decision to adopt a special needs child and rationally evaluated the impact on the family and themselves as adoptive parents, then I encourage the adoption. However, when one is in a foreign environment, exhausted, anxious to get back home, then prospective parents can make poor decisons and rush into an unsuitable placement.
This book discusses the health hazards, what to look for in a child and provides basic information to help in evaluating the placement. Dr. Chasnoff is a champion in helping parents and children. I am very grateful for the articles he has written and the experience and wisdom he has shared with me, my collegues and adoptive parents.
I highly recommend this book. I am recommending my clients buy and read it.
Customer Reviews:
Outstanding information on RMD's and IRA's in general.......2000-02-16
Roth to Riches enables the average person to understand the complexities of IRA's in detail. This is an outstanding book that should be recommended to anyone with a substantial amout of money in an IRA.
an excellent book for people evaluating their options.......1998-12-20
this book is an excellent resource book for ordinary people with large ira's who do not know what their options are or why they should consider a roth ira. It is a great way to check and balance the advice you are getting from other sources. I have utilized this book thoroughly with many of my clients.
Informative and Easy to Understand!!!.......1998-12-10
Roth to Riches is a must read for anyone who has ever considered or currently owns an IRA. Written in plain, understandable English (my native tongue), Mr. Bledsoe demonstrates the advantages and disadvantages of both the ordinary and the Roth IRA's. In this book, unlike other books that are also written in my native tongue but which make me wonder if English is in fact my native tongue, Mr. Bledsoe displays a unique ability to explain technical tax and financial planning concepts with candor and clarity. This book is interesting, informative and easy to understand. A bargain at this price. Thanks for the insights.
Some crucial points are no longer valid due to new regs........1998-11-09
This would have been a very excellent book had publication been withheld until after the Taxpayers' Relief Act of 1998 had been signed into law. Mr. Bledsoe was aware there were going to be important changes and he provideded a form in the back of the book, that the reader can use to send for an update on the the new regulations. Unfortunately the turn arround time for the update is quite slow. As the book reads in its present form, some very important areas are no longer accurate and an unwary reader could be lured into making a mistake in choosing a Roth IRA.
An easy-to-read book on Roth IRAs that's also comprehensive........1998-08-27
This is the first consumer-oriented book published (July, 1997) about the Roth IRA. As it turns out, it is a superb effort and one that other authors will be hard pressed to match with future Roth IRA titles. The author obviously spent many months fine-tuning his work. As the editor of the Roth IRA Web Site, I read this book in well under two hours and found it to be a remarkably easy-to-read book. One doesn't expect books on topics such as Roth IRAs to be pleasant reads, but this book was both fun-to-read and informative at the same time! I also gave the book to several others to read (including one person who had no idea how IRAs worked) and they confirmed my judgement. This is a great book on both traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs.
From a technical viewpoint, the information presented appears to be quite accurate and comprehensive. Although the Roth IRA technical corrections were not yet signed into law when the book was published, the author was obviously quite familiar with the proposed changes and he does reference the more important provisions. (The last page of the book provides a form to send in for a free report on the final Roth regulations when available.)
The book is 198 pages (8½" x 11" size) with the actual text running through page 90. Pages 91 through 121 are what the author calls Roth Conversion Advantage charts. Most of the rest of the book consists of a reprint of IRS Publication 590, the IRS explanation of IRAs. After you see the IRS explanation of how traditional IRAs work, you will like Roth IRAs even more!
Book Description
Extraordinary cigarette lighters can be found in the strangest of places--in a garage sale, at a swap meet, perhaps even in your own basement. This convenient, hand held guide introduces a history of lighters through a comprehensive, alphabetical presentation of styles, organized according to company name and dating from the late 1800s through the 1980s. In an effort to appeal to new collectors, well-known makers such as Dunhill, Ronson, Evans, Scripto, and Zippo are included, as well as unusual and interesting lighters from smaller and lesser known companies. Never before has a book shown such variety and magnitude of lighters with this much detail and color: over 800 lighters are illustrated along with current market values. Whether you are a collector of lighters or interested in art and design, this book will give you insight into the style, beauty, and value of cigarette lighters. And once you start collecting, it may be hard to break the habit!
Customer Reviews:
Vintage Lighters.......2007-05-15
This is a good book for vintage lighter collectors if you use it in conjunction with The Big Book of Cigarette Lighters.
The Handbook of vintage Cigarette Lighters.......2007-01-16
Good reference for finding lighters and knowing what you have.
The ultimate guide for the lighter collector.......2000-04-11
More than 2o books about collectible lighters have been published in the past years. Many are focused to specific lighter manufacturers. Books with a wide content, covering many different aspects of lighter collecting are scarce and often incomplete. This book is different. It gives a new collector the optimal idea about collectible lighters of this century. Fantastic models are shown in excellent quality and there is not much missing. I am a European collector for many years and I must say this book covers the global lighter collecting quite perfectly. In addition it is both affordable and handy. Congratulation to the editors-
Outstanding! A very informative book on cigarette lighters.......1999-11-17
This is a great book - a must have for anyone dealing in cigarette lighters. It is the only book I know of that gives such a complete over view of vintage lighters. A highly recommended read!
Bob Brockmann New Haven, Indiana
Great lighters, photographed beautifully........1999-11-17
Well thought out presentation of collectable lighters. Pictured items cover the gamut of beginner's basics, to extremely rare pieces that most advanced collectors will never own.
Certainly a "must have" for all lighter collectors, and an interesting historical perspective for non-collectors.

Literary Essays of Ezra Pound

Book Description
This Companion contains fifteen chapters by leading international scholars, who together reflect diverse but complementary approaches to the study of Ezra Pound's poetry and prose. They consider the poetics, foreign influences, economics, politics and publication history of Pound's entire corpus, and also situate Pound's work in the context of Modernism, illustrating his influence on contemporaries such as T. S. Eliot and James Joyce. Taken together, the chapters offer a sustained examination of one of the most versatile, influential and certainly controversial poets of the modern period.
Book Description
What Would I Believe if I Didn't Believe Anything? is a guidebook for spiritual orphans that shows how they can "doubt their way home" by embracing their doubts and asking the hard questions as a meaningful path toward genuine faith. The author helps readers value their own questions and learn to talk about spiritual matters in fresh, non-religious language. Rather than handing down doctrines "from above," Groff invites readers to look at life "from below," exploring experiences of daily living. He helps the reader to find the grace in the grit of everyday life, seeking analogies of faith in film and literature, psychology and science, poetry and arts, music and sports. Drawing primarily from the well of his Christian experience, Groff also incorporates insights from the world's primal myths and major religions.
Fifty reflection exercises make it ideal for group use with journeyers of varied backgrounds for campuses, prisons, communal residences, religious communities and work places.
Customer Reviews:
Tired of being in your head?.......2004-01-18
Many of the books out there are intellectual arguments. Those are important but that is not what a spiritual orphan needs. While this book has an intellectual foundation,it speaks to the heart and one's experience. This handbook doesn't offer answers but invites the reader to look deeply within oneself and honor one's journey. Kent Groff models this with his own personal reflections. The great thing about this book is that it enables the reader to journey with others. It is also easy to read with the lift-outs.
What Would I Believe If I Didn't Believe Anything?.......2004-01-17
Dr. Groff offers many images and stories which invite us to journey deeper to the place where we meet and are met by one greater than ourselves. He gently and playfully invites the agnostic to risk believing and the believer to risk questioning. He seems to trust that the richest place to walk in life is that thin line between faith and doubt (where we can learn from our the great faith traditions and contemporary culture without dismissing either). As a thirty-something pastor who struggles to believe much of what i've been taught and who continues to find great wisdom and grace in and through my doubts, i appreciate Dr. Groff's commitment to speaking to people like me, who thirst for meaning, but don't often find it where we are told to find it; and who often stumble upon it in the strangest of places. This is a book you'll want to read, return to, and journal with.
What I Would Believe if I Didn't Believe Anything?.......2004-01-03
I've read the manuscript for Kent's book. For the first time in any book I've ever read about spirituality, I felt connected. Finally someone (Kent) understands my experience with the Church.
I love God, but have always struggled with the institutional Church, which has seemed far removed from where I "live, move, and have my being." I have been a spiritual orphan and Kent's book normalized my feelings in a way that the institutional Church has never been willing to name or to even address. If anyone has ever felt like a spiritual orphan, this is THE BOOK for them to buy. John Sivley
