I like the style of this book. I like the simplicity of this book.
If you are looking for something deep and wordy, this isn't it. It's to the point and basic. I got a lot from it, even if some was just reitterating what I already knew, it was a good read.

In person, Jan is awesome but unfortunately I cannot say the same for her book... Gems there may be in this book but they're scattered all over in point-form! This book desperately needs to be re-written!

Some of the stuff I like in her book includes the section on how to deal with difficult downlines as well as some simple yet practical NLP skills that she picked up from Anthony Robbins.

Jan has a wonderful story, and I can't wait to see her live. BUT....her writing style is very difficult to read. Much is in bullet points, with loose organization and much repetition. This book could really use a publisher to polish it up.

That said, I found several points that really will help me with MLM.

I liked the fact that Mark covers stuff in this book other people pretend doesn't happen in the industry. He has some new things coming out too. I like his no fluff style. He tells it like it really is.

Despise one of reviewers, this book is easier than "your First YEar" that I think is too long. Also, the affirmations part is VERY powerful.

Mark Yarnell has been a very important part of my success, over 15 million in sales in my 3 years in my company.

I don't give him 5 stars because he tends to be a hardliner in a couple of issues, but despise that, he is the man!

Notice that there is only one other review here besides mine? I like Mark Yarnell but if you already have Your First Year by Yarnell, this book is a waste. Same book different cover. Why the 1 star? Because Yarnell is trying to pass it off as something new and different. Greed is a terrible thing Mark.

Absolute Must Have .......2005-08-22

This book will blow your mind! Mark is one of my personal mentors and he suggested I read this book. This is it! This book will break through the old school network marketing crap and tell you how things should be done now.

It doesn't matter what you are promoting, Mark will tell you how to develop a mult-million dollar network marketing business from home! Yes, say good-bye to weekly meeting, long drives from home, in-home presentations etc.

There are better ways and Mark will definitely show what those ways are.

Using Marks techniques helped me grow a business from 10 distributor to over 300 in only 30 days!!! Needless to say, I'm enjoying a full-time income in MLM from home.

GET THIS BOOK!!! By the way this book replaces it predecessor titled, "Your FIRST year in Network Marketing"

Forget This Book If You're A Newbie .......2007-04-11

If you have little or no experience in MLM, this book might as well be written in ancient Sanscrit.

First off, the editing seems like it was probably done by a laboratory chimp. The copy is riddled with syntactical, spelling and grammatical errors that would be unacceptable in a third grade English class.

Secondly, the content is generally inchoate drivel. The author fails to adequately explain most of the terms and theories before gratuitously tossing them about. It starts out with a graphic representation of a binary tree consisting of various levels of totally undefined numerals within little globes. It all leaves the reader slack jawed, trying to interpret it all for him/her self, without much or any real explanation, or a very cursory one at most.

The author also operates a garish web site which is mainly a tableau of bold font colorful hype promoting his products, to which the book seems largely dedicated to steering one towards.

Verdict: Next to useless for the neophyte.

Of all MLM books I've read, this has got to be one of the most detailed and practical in so far as launching your own start up company is concerned. Whether you're the entrepreneur or a distributor learning the ropes, this book has all info you need to succeed.

Great MLM Business Book..........2002-09-08

This is probably the best book I have read on the multilevel marketing industry to date. Although small in size, it is absolutely packed with valuable information.

Despite the title's name, this book is valuable to everyone who is involved in MLM, not just those contemplating starting their own MLM company. Its straightforward writing style and well researched text are a refreshing change from the many mindless motivational books available in the MLM industry today.

Although the book is pro-MLM in general, it does not gloss over any aspects of the industry, or try to sell it as a get-rich-quick panacea. It mainly seems to be aimed at businesspeople new to the industry, who are trying to understand it for the very first time. It's not written for "MLM junkies", but for professionals who actually want to learn the real ins and outs of the business. An informative background of MLM's history is included, as is a look at what differentiates MLM's from traditional business models.

Probably the most fascinating aspect of the book is the insider's view it gives on how MLM's are formed. It lays-out the requirements for an MLM to be successful, as well as explain the elements that all (successful) MLMs have in common. It practically gives you a blueprint of how all MLM's are formed, and how they are successfully run. This isn't the type of information you will find in typical MLM books.

This book is a non-biased, helpful book explaining the binary plan of network marketing. I am brand new in the business of network marketing and am not familiar with the different plans that are out there. I just joined my first MLM Company. Having heard about binary plans I was confused. This book take the confusion out and gives a thorough explanation on how binary plans work.

Before reading Binary Plans, I was considering another company with an unlimited front line sponsorship. Now I would never go with anything but binary. It's the only way and this book explains why.

Obviously the author has a lot of experience in MLM and is an excellent writer too.

This book has very little useful information.

It does not do a good job of explaining how to design a binary system or in comparing the binary system to other MLM compensation systems.

The author states that he is very knowledgeable about the industry, however the content is not well thought ought and the writing is poor which destroys the credibility of the little information that is in this book.

I met John Kalench before he died of cancer. What a 'down to earth' successful man! His goal was to have one million friends in his lifetime and I'm sure he did just that...I was one. I was inspired by his book and encouraged to dream again and help others acheive their dreams. There's so much to learn from John and this book. He is very motivational and has lived his concepts. This book would benefit any self-employed, direct sales person or just the person who wants to learn how to dream big dreams again and inspire others! I even has his autograph in my own book:)

John Kalench was one of the best MLM Trainers in the Industry! I've read this book more than 5 times throughout the last 3 years, and I must say most of the content is still relevant for today's sophisticated networkers.

However the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it has NOT included any Blow-By-Blow Exposé of the techniques real life Master Networkers would use to change the beliefs and behavior of their prospects.

John Kalench's book is now the corner stone provided for all UK Nikken Independent Distributors. He himself saw how good being a Nikken Distributor was and this, in over 20yrs of training many MLM distributors was the only Company that attracted him. He joined in 1994.

It is a great shame that he died in May 2000, however, with great books like this being available his memory will live on.

I've read mine 3 times and keep it close to hand as an easy source of reference. Sort out your life - this book will show you how.

I became involved in NWM in 1989. During that time, I was fortunate to get a good taste of the life that is created by owning a home-based business.

It was during this time that I'd read over 1,003 books concerning multi-level and other books which guided one to do more and be more. Luckily, one day, I found her book lying on a shelf, noticed the title and made the purchase automatically without any further thought. Upon reaching the confinement of my home, along with a nice hot pot of coffee, I sat down by the bay window to read about Venus' experiences. Ultimately, I COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN!

Over time, I became quite close to Venus, making telephone calls, chit-chatting about Networking businesses. Today, I am living the best experience of all. Venus and I are working together to create a very dynamic business.

I vividly recall my inital reading of that THICK, YELLOW BOOK titled MLM MAGIC by Venus and utimately the path it has carried me on.

Today, it sits on a much reduced library. Very few books remain there and the books you will find there are those that impacted my life immensely

Excellent View of the Need for Passion and Heart in MLM.......2000-05-21

MLM is driven by passion and heart -- passion for helping others, passion for connecting with others, passion for building new relationships, passion for having a great time with people, passion for your products, and a big heart to care genuinely for others. This book captures that needed passion and heart in an effective way.

People who succeed in MLM are people-oriented people who have a large circle of influence, and can quickly expand that circle. You get a sense of who that type of person is from Venus Andrecht's experience. If you ever have a chance to hear her speak, I recommend that you be sure to do so.

Many people lack self-esteem, and are overwhelmed by the idea of building an MLM business. Venus shows you that you can do it, if you have the passion and the heart. You too can start from your kitchen table. Some of the best MLM people never leave there!

Venus' style is very forthright and entertaining. She tells it like it is. She gives some very good advice for handling those people who don't do anything after they sign up. There are some really good ideas for prospecting,also. I think this book was worth the time I invested to read it. The companion workbook is also excellent, especially if you are just starting out, or got off to a slow start.
