The Executive Director's Survival Guide: Thriving as a Nonprofit Leader.......2005-09-12
The book is and excellent resource for information on how to lead a non for profit organization; I would highly recommend it.
However, I did order the book from Amazon to be shipped to my home overnight, for which I paid , but only received it three whole days later. This was rather disappointing and very costly!!!
Example of the Best Non Profit Consultants.......2003-10-24
No one is more qualified and experienced to write an ED Survival Guide to Non profit management than Margaret Donohue and Mim Carlson. I have had the distinct pleasure of working with both of them for a number of years. I have the utmost respect and admiration for them and am thrilled that they took the time to write this book for all of us "in the field" who can and will profit from their wisdom and experience!

Navigating the Badlands.......2007-01-17
I have tracked the global environment for over twelve years and have learned much more about this environment by reading Mary O'Hara-Devereaux's book. In my opinion, it's a must read for educators and business professionals.
Highly Recommended!.......2005-04-11
Every few hundred years, the Western world takes itself apart and puts itself together again. Peter Drucker observed that this process of dissolution and reconstitution occurs so decisively that, afterward, people who live in the new world cannot even imagine the world of their parents or grandparents. Author Mary O'Hara-Devereaux believes that we are about three-quarters through a 75-year period of such disruptive innovation. She calls the transition "the Badlands." Like the barren Dakota Badlands of the Old West, they are a painful trial that makes or breaks people, and either way leaves them with a new sense of identity. The author identifies several distinct transitional pains for which she prescribes an equal number of palliatives. Her analyses and prescriptions can be thought provoking, though they are seldom trail blazing. While the book may be more smoke than fire, we find that smoke signals can be useful for the long-range vistas in the Badlands. (And, by the way, the author includes a chapter on China that seems almost as parenthetical as this sentence, though interesting enough. In reality, China looks like the pivot point of Badlands transitions, and how it comes through may affect how your neighborhood comes through, as well.)

A must for any working therapist!.......2006-03-08
Written specifically for bodyworkers, Business Mastery is simply among the best business references for our profession. Presented in an accessible format, Cherie Sohnen-Moe speaks to the special needs of the professional therapist. The fact is that you are self employed whether you have your own practice or you are working for someone else as an independent contractor. Keeping that in mind, a book such as Business Mastery is as important as any of the anatomy and technique books in your library. Having designed and taught the business curriculum for a major massage school, Business Mastery remains my primary recommendation for anyone looking to pick up a first-class business reference manual.
Great for virtually ALL holistic practitioners!.......2005-07-15
You've mastered your studies, but to start a successful business or to manage an existing one you need to understand business operations - what business book can you turn to? This one!
There are many great books on business, many great books on the plethora of holistic modalities out there. The authors of this book understand both sides of the practitioners needs and put it together well, with great examples to work with. While the examples typically focus on massage/touch therapy, just about everything can be translated to other practices, such as Reiki, Acupuncture etc. - the basic concepts remain the same.
While there are a few chapters that run a bit long, I feel this book is worthwhile in any practitioner's collection. I have a copy of this book in my home office and plan to buy a second reference copy for my clinic. An invaluable reference guide!

This book is excellent in giving the massage therapist a game plan in running a business. It also helped me in studying for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. It was helpful when I was reviewing for the Business practices part of the exam. However, I also highly recommend the following which is also sold on amazon.com:
The Ultimate Study Guide for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork: Key Review Questions and Answers

The last 3 books helped me pass the test with ease. I highly recommend all 4 books.
Book Description
Organizations around the world today are struggling to stay ahead of the pack. With its fanciful illustrations and deliciously wicked humor, Outlearning the Wolves is the story of an organization that might resemble yours--complete with bad habits, nagging vulnerabilities, and resignation to the status quo.
A flock of sheep, fearful of the wolves' mythical cleverness, is initially debilitated by fragmentation and false assumptions.
But as the sheep build a culture for learning, the contributions of each individual are utilized in strikingly new and productive ways. By working together, the flock develops the capability for dramatic learning that ensures it can thrive while facing fresh challenges.
Outlearning the Wolves presents a powerful metaphor for understanding the issues organizations face when they realize they must learn how to learn differently. Any organization seeking to build both a rewarding workplace and a thriving enterprise should introduce these ideas to every worker--from the front line to the boardroom.
Outlearning the Wolves is a unique resource for teachers and learners across a broad range of settings. Included is a concise guide to the story's essential points--a ready-made lesson outline, perfect for directing group learning.

Perfect for a half-day management seminar.......2007-05-01
No matter what we do, there will always be a pack of figurative wolves stalking us. In business, there will always be other groups and organizations that will be trying to take away your customers and lower your market share. The first part of this book is about a flock of sheep that are in a pasture surrounded by a solid barbed-wire fence. And yet, even with this protection, an occasional sheep is lost to the wolves.
Since this only rarely occurs and few sheep are actually lost, most of the members of the flock now accept it as a fact of their existence. However, there are a few who begin to challenge this fundamental assumption. The "malcontents" follow the trend and learn that more sheep are lost after protracted dry weather than during rainy periods. This is puzzling, so they begin exploring the waterway that runs through their pasture. Armed with their new and critical eyes, they see where the stream runs under the fence and conclude that the wolves are able to crawl under it when the stream is running low.
Their solution is very simple, build a dam to create a pond that will keep the water level high. Once this is done, the wolves will no longer be able to enter the pasture and make off with one of their kin.
The story is then followed by a section of textual explanation of what the main points are. Namely, it is foolish to accept regular losses as a fact of your existence. Always ask the question, "Is this really inevitable?" In many cases it is not and determining that it is not inevitable is the major step towards finding a solution. In the modern business world, not taking advantage of any improvement can be devastating, for if you are not smart enough to do it, there is most certainly a competitor who is.
This is a short book that is perfect for the half-day management seminar. Illustrated and only 64 pages long, it can be read in about an hour and is packed with information designed to get you thinking about your approach to life, work and career.
Interesting book.......2007-03-21
Had to read the book for school and it was quite interesting and a cool way to explain the different aspects of systems thinking.
Outlearning the Wolves: Surviving and Thriving in a Learning Organization, Second Edition.......2006-11-13
A short, easy read that is a modern-day fable about how systems work. Charming and enlightening. Good discussion questions at the end--this book could be applied to so many work and life experiences. Funny, too!
Outlearning the wolves.......2002-04-09
Outlearning the wolves,
By David Hutchens.
This book is a short and at times funny book. It is fast and easy too read, but still has good content. It is about how one sheep in a flock spoke out in an effort to stop wolf related casualties (WRC). This sheep motivated the flock and they started too try and find a way too stop the wolf. They all put their thoughts together and pieced together the mystery of how the wolfs were getting to their pen and then found a way to stop it. But they would still have trouble...
Excellent teaching tool.......2000-11-26
My undergraduate students love this book! Teaching systems thinking in a military college is not as unlikely as it might seem but it does present challenges. This book has proven very successful as a 'launching pad' for the semester's work, keeping their attention while presenting key concepts succinctly. It's a safe bet that if it can engage people who have 28 hours of tasks to cram into a 24-hour day, it would be worth its weight in gold in a manufacturing setting, a dot.com company, or anywhere busy people are balancing production with growing an organization.
Book Description
Maintaining control in today's hectic workplace is a challenge -- everything is lean, competitive, and uncertain. What does it take to survive? Must you sign away your life in blood? Live in fear of being fired? Quit your job and move to the countryside? Not at all.
Through the mastery of nine essential skills, Morgenstern shows how small changes in your thinking and behavior will help you achieve the seemingly impossible -- boost your value, increase your job security, and afford you the time to still have a life. Morgenstern has helped clients of all levels take control of their work lives in every industry imaginable. This book mirrors the individual consulting services she provides by showing you how to start with yourself and then tackle the more complex external issues of working relationships and the job.
With insight and warmth, Morgenstern gives fresh "grab-and-go" strategies such as:
- Avoid e-mail for the first hour of the day. It's addictive and steals your most productive time.
- Trust your truth. Never undervalue your unique self, skills, and point of view.
- Beware multitasking. Scattering your efforts makes for a longer day.
- "Dance close to the revenue line." Making and saving money is where your greatest value lies.
- "Crunch the container." Shorten your workday by thirty minutes and you will get more done.
Making Work Work transcends industries, job titles, and even economic climates. With the process taught in this book, you will feel less trapped and more in charge -- you'll able to make a bad situation better, restore a formerly good situation, or search for a job that's a better fit for who you are.
With Morgenstern's guidance you can find a way to make work work.

Now she is helping me release that person that can't get anything done to someone that accomplishes the most important things daily with her book "Making Work Work". Thrive on Chaos or let the sharks eat you alive........2006-04-03
Although Peters first wrote this book nearly twenty years ago, many of his insights are now reaching Prime Time. Thriving on Chaos is obviously a classic, yet what surprised me the most is how Peters intuitively understands that some things never change. Business serves the customer (period).
Innovation, Flexibility, Productivity, Competitive Advantage, Supply-Chain Management, ... In the end, the ultimate master is the customer (at least in the free world). No one commands or forces the customer to buy a given product (or service), it's a free market. Consumers buy or don't buy based on perceived benefits. Products either meet customer demands or risk being ripped to shreds by the simple act of non-purchase.
As an example, I'm a vegetarian and am highly sensitive to food labels containing the words "Natural Flavors" which may contain meat and meat by-products. Therefore, I select those products not containing such mystery ingredients and punish those that use them (through non-purchase).
Much of what Peters talks about is taking shape today. Ivory-Tower management superstructures are all but a distant memory. Creativity, Innovation, and Empowerment are all the rage as developed countries are grasping for an edge in a world gone mad. Wholesale shifting of jobs overseas, corporate scandals, and increasing government regulation set employees and managers on edge. Prescription for change includes active customer participation in creating products and tapping into the creative potential of worker's minds.
Thriving on Chaos is sure to jumpstart your brain:
Peters says that "'If it aint broke, you just haven't looked hard enough' Fix it anyway." So true. Good enough is never good enough. Since the advent of the Net, customers are asserting control like never before. And, competitors are swarming like a pack of hungry sharks ready to tear off a piece of your market share.
To survive you need to learn to love change, and you need to learn how to Thrive on Chaos!

"Business Success through Innovation"
An Oldie but a Goodie.......2003-02-07
I just read this and two things stand out. First, there are some things that really never change, and as a result, Peters makes a huge impact here.
On the other hand, this was written before the net, much of the new automation inventions and much of the new technology as well. So, you just have to adjust his words to fit today's business environment.
Now, for the book. What he says is common sense to many workers and managers alike, but is looked at in horror by upper management and CEOs. So many CEOs believe that if they don't have total control over everything, then they're "out of control" and thus, running a bad organization.
NOT TRUE. As Peters indicates, if you hire competent people and give them the tools they need to do their work, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised with the quality of work that comes from them. In other words, drive down the decision making and create an autonomous environment for employees and your organizational flexibility increases, your profits will rise and with the right measures, you will succeed.
This is a kind-of-classic that all business leaders should at least have read. However, I think books such as Built To Last and First, Break All The Rules are more up to date and have since developed newer, more relevant theories that apply to all industries.
Probably great if you haven't read Passion for Excellence.......2000-07-21
Tom Peters, with Passion for Excellence, has been a great inspiration for me to start all kinds of innovations in customer service (quite some years later I still got positive responses out of the market) and my organization back in the 80s. You could say he was my "guru". So, when Thriving on Chaos was published, I immediately purchased it and start reading it with high expectations. How unfortunate .... as I became quickly very disappointed (I was never able to finish it in total). It was too much of the same as in Passion for Excellence. Just different words to many of the same topics. A professional writer who wants to get more money out of you while not providing you with more knowledge. I stopped buying more books from Tom Peters and was for some time very hesitant buying other management books. Now, many years later, I sometimes go back to the book without all these emotions I had when I bought it. I have to admit there are many inspiring subjects in it, some of them better described than in Passion for Excellence. So my conclusion is that the book can be very helpful for people who need inspiration for change and innovation, even though it is already quite some years old and has nothing in it about todays subjects like the Web. But as I have started with Passion for Excellence, I will probably never be able to rate Thriving on Chaos as high as Passion for Excellence (five stars).
A fascinating book with Peters' exuberant, jazzy style!!.......1999-03-23
This book presents a strategy for meeting the uncertainty of the current competitive markets through creating customer responsiveness, pursuing fast-paced innovation, achieving flexibility by empowering people, learning to work in an environment of change, abandoning conventional wisdom, and the reconceiving of organizational systems. This is a fascinating book that has the distinct and unmistakable quality of Tom Peters' exuberant, jazzy style. Reviewed by Gerry Stern, author of Stern's SourceFinder Master Directory to HR and Management Information and Stern's CyberSpace SourceFinder.
The best text on thinking "outside of the box".......1997-03-18
This is easily TP's best work to date. The concrete examples are terrific and energy exudes from each page. The book is structured in a way for easy reading - it's hard to put down
Book Description
IS IT ME OR IS IT THEM?
Maintaining control in today's hectic workplace is a challenge -- everything is lean, competitive, and uncertain. What does it take to survive?
Making Work Work is Julie Morgenstern's most important book yet. Through the mastery of brand-new strategies, Morgenstern shows you how small changes in your thinking and behavior will help you achieve the seemingly impossible -- boost your value, increase your job security, and afford you the time to still have a life.
Morgenstern has helped clients of all levels take control of their work lives in every industry: from corporations and nonprofits to government agencies and small businesses; from executives and assistants to educators and salespeople. She's learned that no matter who you are, happiness at work involves feeling appreciated, in control, successful, and in balance. And achieving that is possible.
People rarely look at their jobs from a psychological and practical perspective at the same time, but Julie Morgenstern does. This book mirrors the individual consulting services she provides by showing you how to start with yourself and then tackle the more complex external issues of working relationships and the job. For every obstacle you encounter along the way, Morgenstern diagnoses the source of the problem (is it you or them?), and with insight and warmth, she provides simple grab-and-go strategies. These are small changes anyone can make to improve performance and efficiency at work.
At its core, Making Work Work is about your relationship to your job. With the reliable, methodical process taught in this book, you will:
feel less trapped and more in charge be able to make a bad situation better search for a job that's a better fit for who you are.
This is a provocative and life-changing book that will help you boost your clarity, confidence, and performance in any economic climate. With Morgenstern's guidance you can find a way to make work work.
Customer Reviews:
May be a lifesaver!.......2006-04-29
Just what I needed in the nick of time. As with all useful popular psychology books, its efficacy is in the reader making an effort to follow through with a plan, and Morgenstern inspires me to do just that. I especially appreciated her quickstart program. Saving the procrastination-potential reading until I've got a handle on some of my clutter--in both time and space! Speaking of which, being as visual as I am, I especially appreciated her sketch/analogy representing the inside of a (my) closet as it aligns with the inside of a (my) calendar! They look the same. If I can organize my closet in space, I can organize my calendar in time!
Practical book.......2006-02-10
Although the title of this book suggests that the content is purely work related, it is very helpful if you want to learn how to balance your personal and work life. The most helpful part of the book for me was "Control the Nibblers." I was able to recognize my blind spots, then after figuring out my top three time wasters and biggest interruptions, I implemented the author's helpful recommendations. I have also implemented her suggestions about organizing meetings with considerable success. I certainly recommend this book.
Mentoring by remote.......2005-12-27
Typically, the mentoring process is a two-way dialogue that takes place over lunch, in the gym or on the phone. But author Julie Morgenstern changes the traditional mentoring model. Speaking out from the printed page, she mentors by remote. Morgenstern offers useful career guidance and concise tips, organized as concrete "Grab and Go Strategies." Her colorful examples, logical chapter summaries and chatty case histories make her book outstanding. Occasionally, her advice is repetitive, but overall it's hard to find fault, because she is so clearly smart, thoughtful and on your side. We recommend this mentor's manual to every professional, including the overworked, self-employed and underemployed.
As usual, Julie Morgenstern does NOT disappoint!.......2005-04-13
I've long been a fan of Julie Morgenstern . . . her other books, ORGANIZING FROM THE INSIDE OUT and TIME MANAGEMENT FORM THE INSIDE OUT, had a big impact on me--and contained much useful information that I still use.
So it was with great anticipation that I obtained and devoured her latest, MAKING WORK WORK . . . it did not disappoint!
Morgenstern presents ideas and suggestions that apply to just about any situation . . . what she writes may sound basic, but it is the type thing that you need to read more than once . . . then begin to use.
For example, she urges you to begin conversations with:
"What can I do for you?" not "How are you?" As she notes:
"How are you?" is an open invitation to chat and warm up. "What can I do for you?" immediately focuses your interrupter on getting straight to the point. It's professional and gets you both down to business. This enables you to handle the interruption in the least amount of time possible.
There were several other memorable passages; among them:
The only real chance you have at choosing the most important tasks begins with keeping a complete list of everything you need to do in one place. After all, prioritizing is a matter of relativity--the true question is, What's most important in relation to the other things on your list? Taken one item at a time, everything can mask itself as a critical task.
Control Lateness: Use odd start times, such as 27 or 41 minutes after the hour, to control lateness. People are far less likely to be late for a meeting that starts at 11:27 than one at 11:30. Designate an official timekeeper to watch the clock for every meeting, and rotate that role among attendees. It's their responsibility to regulate the meeting so it doesn't go overtime, and they'll have an invested interest in doing a good job-they could be on the other side of the clock the next time around.
Change "but" to "and." What a difference a word makes, implying a can-do, take-charge approach to problems rather than an argument. For example, a client tells you they want to bring the budget down. Instead of saying, "But that's going to compromise quality," try saying, "Okay, and that's likely to compromise quality. Where would you be most comfortable shaving costs?" Or you boss asks you to have something on his desk in two hours. Instead of saying, "But then I won't be able to meet tomorrow's deadline," try, "Okay, and if I need to do that, what should I do about tomorrow's deadline? Can someone else finish it off?" Focus on solutions, not obstacles.
It works!.......2004-09-29
As a career consultant, I often find myself frustrated with mindless career advice. So it's a treat to open this book and find some truly original ideas that I can recommend to my clients and ezine readers. And, amazingly, Morgenstern's book will be appropriate to a variety of readers and career stages. It's not just for entry-level beginners or senior vice presidents. We can all read and learn here.
Happiness, says Morgenstern, means "liking what you're doing and being good at it, feeling connected, in control, successful and balanced." Now there's a realistic definition that we can work with!
I like Morgenstern's listing of nine competencies. Most are straightforward and you're heard some before, but they're presented insightfully. For instance, "organize at the speed of change" and develop an "entrepreneurial mindset" have become essential in today's world; you probably know you need to delegate and work well with others, but we can never hear this message too often.
Perhaps the most striking insight is, "Sometimes it's not you! Sometimes it's them holding you back." In working with live clients, I find that identifying this difference can be key to long-term career success, not to mention santiy.
Other messages I support wholeheartedly: "Your personal life is an investment in your work."
"Try neglecting one small task." (So true! Often nobody notices even when you neglect the big tasks!)
and
"Own your career so you're not a victim."
Well said.
This book's layout could be more visually appealing; it's not the author's fault, but the pages sometimes seem crowded. However, it's worth digging. I will be recommending this book on my ezine page and will encourage many of my clients to give themselves this book as a gift.

Very, Very Insightful!.......2007-05-21
This book creates an awareness for all married couples out there that no matter how saved you are or how solid your relationship is, you are still susceptible to the various wiles of the enemy and one has to be prayerful. It also shows that God is indeed a God of full, complete and total restoration. Any family that thinks that they cannot recover from adultrey is wrong. You can with God's help. That is what this book reveals.
God's Grace and Redemption.......2007-01-28
Marriage Undercover: Thriving in a Culture of Quiet Desperation by Bob and Audrey Meisner tells a beautiful story of sin, sorrow, forgiveness, love and and how all this affects one family's life. I thought the book was too long and full of many repetitions. Bob's whining all the way through did not help either. Audrey is the real hero of the story. Yes, she made a mistake, and she too seems to lament it far too many times, but she was dealing with some stubborn reactions from her husband. I congratulate her for continuing in the marriage under rather harsh circumstances. I heard Bob and Audrey tell this story on the radio some weeks ago and that is why I wanted to read the book. Their broadcast was simpler than their writing style and it truly was a great program. I think they do better under the pressure of time blocks. Despite my criticism, there were some really wonderful passages in this book, especially I thought what was said about forgiveness, God's unconditional love, and the honest way Audrey approached her problem was just excellent and I do believe this book will be a sign of encouragement for many other couples who are suffering in our culture of quiet desperation.
OUR GOD RESTORES--HIS LOVE REIGNS!!!.......2006-07-11
I started reading this book on a Sunday after it was recommended to all of the women of my church by our Pastor's wife as the August reading. I thought, I will take my time and read it. Once I started, I could not stop, I finished it the same day. I am still a newlywed (married 2 years) and I want my marriage to look like this! It took this tragedy & pain to get where God wanted them to be. I will take heed not to be off guard and think adultery could never happen to us, and guard my heart and PRAY that my husband and I can know each other and GOD the way Bob & Audrey do. It was BRAVE & AWESOME how they BOTH let GOD take-over after they LET IT GO. It was awesome to see the LOVE in the body of Christ that poured out to them. It was LOVE & wisdom & counsel & obedience & sacrifice that helped them walk that narrow path to restoration. Their story will minister to me for the rest of my life and to so many others who will never take this path and to so many who already have.
Book Description
Dilbert and the gang are back for this 26th collection, Thriving on Vague Objectives.
Adams has his finger on the pulse of cubicle dwellers across the globe. No one delivers more laughs or captures the reality of the 9 to 5 worker better than Dilbert, Dogbert, Catbert, and a cast of stupefying office stereotypes-which is why there are approximately 150 million fans of the Dilbert comic strip.
Dilbert is a techno-man stuck in a dead-end job (sound familiar?). Power-mad Dogbert strives to take over the world and enslave the humans. The most intelligent person in Dilbert's world is his trash collector, who knows everything about everything.
Artist and creator Scott Adams started Dilbert as a doodle when he worked as a bank teller. He continued doodling when he was upgraded to a cubicle for a major telecommunications company. His boss (no telling if he was pointy-haired or not) suggested the name Dilbert. Adams is so dead-on accurate in his depictions of office life that he has been accused of spying on Corporate America.
Dilbert appears in 2,000 newspapers in 65 countries and is translated into 19 languages.

Thriving on Dilbert Comics.......2007-02-22
If you're a Dilbert fan, buy this book. More of the same high-quality, cynical office humor, Thriving on Vague Objectives will make you laugh out loud - because it is SO true!
Another fine volume fresh off the assembly line..........2006-07-31
"Thriving on Vague Objectives" is about like every other compilation that Scott Adams has published, nothing better or worse, a funny read if you like cubicle workplace humor.
I suspect the next 40 Dilbert volumes will probably be just like this one and the 25 that preceded it. But, I cannot help thinking, Dilbert has made Scott Adams crazy-rich and I really hope he has the good sense to get out before he is in his eighties and his characters get all squiggly, like Peanuts became in Charles Schulz's final years. Better to go out like Larson or Watterson, who each retired while on top of their game, than hang on too long.
But, that's an argument for perhaps volume 50 of Dilbert. In the here and now, this book is just as good as Dilbert comics get.
Another year in the life of Dilbert.......2006-05-10
Poor guy... Dilbert again is in front of the pack while being left at the gate... and if you to know what it is like to be in the rear of the pack and looking for the gate, ask Wally. There is a quixotic combination of subtle and blatant humor here and in Scott Adam's previous Dilbert books.
You can't go wrong with this book... it is splendsmartiful.
Quality.......2006-03-11
Not as good as Dilbert shows you the business but still a fun read, the dilbert comics are great.
Thriving from vague objectives.......2006-01-29
His 26th book in the series is the usual 40 weeks of the daily and Sunday comic strips; nice way to save all of his comics in a bound book.

A Book That's Needed In These Times........2007-01-12
i bought Mundis's first how to get out of debt and already i started to see some of the thing manifest itself in my life.this book is another great read too along with tools and strategies to help one overcome chronic underearning.
A Very Helpful Tool For Learning How to Earn More!.......2002-12-24
This book is a great tool to use if you know you are earning less than you deserve, or have done so in the past. It helps you bring to light patterns within you that contribute to underearning, and gives practical and spiritual methods for earning more money in your life. You do not have to be a chronic underearner to benefit from this book- it can benefit anyone who has had past experiences with lack. The book will help you realize you are not alone, and there are ways to release experiences of lack and limitation in your life through spiritual and practical means. Especially helpful for people who are interested in Debtors Anonymous, or feel their debt is overwhelming. It covers the 12-step program used by Debtors Anonymous, but applies it specifically to those who underearn. A powerful self-help tool!
12 Step Program for Underearning.......1999-11-10
I first read a book written by Mundis when looking for help with my cronic writer's block, and while his system didn't produce an instant cure it continues to give me a bit of understanding and support for times when the pen won't write and the keys won't move. Like many writers Mundis confesses to periods of ineritia, and underactivity, and uses the 12 Steps to help guide the underemployed and underpaid to rightful livelihood. This is not an business book in the strict sense, he's more a kindly godfather whispering good advice, and dishing out the daily chores for making a living. If you wonder why your friends always seem to have more, why raises never come to you and why you are always starting over, the answers are here; and the advice is reasonable even for people adverse or unwilling to do a 12 Step program,
Excellent book on prospering.......1999-05-11
This book changed the way I look at money. I started making more money one week after starting to read this book. I have made substantally more money each and every year since.
How to earn the wealth you deserve!.......1999-03-09
Mundis should be applauded - many of us can save, even invest, but really are not earning our true potential. Mundis begins by telling us his own story, showing us that he had a real underearning problem, but was able to conquer it. What impressed me most are his three big 'rules', such as NEVER turn down money, etc. They have helped me immensely in my own life. Also, he forces us to really take a look at how we look at money; many of us have beliefs that are really killing us financially and must be changed. A well-written, extremely helpful handbook on a problem which I just have not seen written about elsewhere.
