Very Good for Option Traders.......2007-10-16
If you are new to option trading, this is a very good book. It explains all the different kinds of strategies and when to use them. Excellent book for an option trader to have in their library as a reference book.
This is a heavy duty options book but..........2007-10-08
This is a heavy duty options book but don't let this scare you off. The only prerequisite I would say you need is some basic options understanding/experience and you also need to be interested in learning more about options strategies. When I first got this book I thought "Wow! This reminds me of some of my economics text books from college." But I soon found this book to be well organized and chocked full of great information and far more interesting than any college text book.
I have to warn people that this is not a book to teach you the fundamentals of options trading. You need to have learned the basics already.
I won't go into all the details of what this book covers since many other posts have done that. But I do want to say I really like this book. It has now taken up permanent residence on my desk because I use it so much.
Truly the bible of all bibles!.......2007-09-30
I really enjoyed this book and continue to do so. As others have commented, it's not a cover-to-cover type of book, but I can reference any strategy so easily and get the salient information I need at the flick of a page.
I've also got the author's other book (Options Made Easy) and there's something different about the way he explains the subject of options that I previously found much more difficult and now find remarkably easy. Great book.
Great reference, full of errors.......2007-09-15
This book is an excellent reference book for options traders, novice and experts. It describes in great detail most of the strategies for trading options. I like the structure and the organization of the book. It helps easily locate a stragety based on several criteria, like your trading expertice or your perception of where the underlying stock is going.
I'm dissapointed at the amount of errors in the book. I've only read 2 chapters so far and have found, not only mispelled words, but errors related to the description of the strategy, risk and reward calculations and inverted names (call instead of put, for example).
If not for the errors, I would have given 5 stars to the book.
Technical Alanlysis "Bible".......2007-09-11
A large volume that covers just about anything you want to know about charting. I was most interested in Elliott Wave info and it has a good section about EW. For the options trader, this is the book to study.

How to Write A .com Business Plan: .......2006-09-19
A good guide to start organizing ideas. Especially Part 2 - "Directory"- include a lot of very helpful links (almost 50 pages ! ) But , I think examples and some statements are poor and repeated several times . In addition , section Financial projections and Financial Management Plan is presented in VERY high level and can't be used for real business plan creation.
Excellent guide for starting up an e-company.......2001-01-12
Having been through the wringer, and witnessed several friends try to do the same, I feel that this book covers the necessary steps for starting, and continuing, a successful e-company. Having a good checklist is essential, doing it with a good sense of humor is always a plus. The interviews brought the material to life where normal examples would have been boring. Nicely done.
Excellent Basic How-to-get-started book.......2001-01-11
This is not one of those dry books where you are immediately lost after the first page. This is an excellent resource for beginners like myself, who are thinking about starting a dot com and don't have the foggiest idea about how to go about it. Ms. Eglash has researched the sites and subject for you, giving you a head start on the process. There is also some practical advise from real people who have been there already. I look forward to a follow-up book.
The Perfect Book for those contemplating a dot com business........2001-01-10
I was looking for a book that wouldn't intimidate me. This book gave me the guidelines and structure I needed to get going on the process without overwhelming me with useless details. I found what I needed in a quick and consise manner. This book presents the basics in a user friendly way. Where else would I find interviews with such a variety of experts like Guy Kawasaki? I highly recommend this book to those of you who want to create a successful dot com business.

WOW EVEN I CAN MAKE MONEY.......2003-02-12
I was so down about the stock market. Just could not win. After reading Mr. Yarborough's book, making money became so easy. The book taught me how to analysis a stock in terms that I could understand. Not a bunch of mumbo jumbo. And more importantly, how to add to my profits by selling the options. It is a must read for anyone who is just sick and tired of lossing money.
TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT.......2003-01-28
I was a skeptic but have been converted. Already this year I have been paid $...FOR CALLS THAT i HAVE SOLD AND i STILL OWN THE UNDERLYING STOCK. Not too bad for beginner.
My advise read the book at least 3-times then call Tom Yarborough and put your toe in the water. See how you like it [bet you will]

the book covers both options and technical analysis.......2003-01-26
I was thinking of buying a book on options and one on technical analysis but this covered all bases. It was so easy to understand and I have read other books on options but had a hard time grasping the subject. I am using the strategies now.

A diagnosis of endometriosis can sound like the end of the world, having no known cure or cause and frightening statistics of increased miscarriage or infertility. The best tool to have at your side when combating any health issue is information, and The Endometriosis Survival Guide provides a reassuring bounty. Margot Joan Fromer gives straight talk on what to expect, from doctors who may not take your pain seriously to the likely side effects of treatments. Common treatments such as hormone therapy and laparoscopy are covered in depth, as well as alternative methods such as shiatsu, aromatherapy, the controversial "Natural Estrogen Diet," and more. Her tone is warm and concerned, so the text never lapses into dry jargon. If you or a woman you know has endo, the Survival Guide's brief, well-balanced overview may be just what's needed.
Customer Reviews:
Skip this book on endometriosis.......2005-07-26
If you're looking for a book that discusses all possible treatment options for endometriosis, this is NOT the book to buy. The author is extremely negative. I too stopped reading it due to the hopelessness that underlies each chapter. Save your money!
Well written, thorough review.......2002-10-21
I completely disagree with the other reviewer - I wanted facts and information, not a feel good puff piece and I got exactly what I needed. It sounds like the other reviewer wants to be reading emotional self help books rather than informative medical books.
don't buy this book.......2000-05-25
This is a very badly written negative book. The author did not research the topics very well and she seems to dwell on any negative thing that can happen to a woman. I had to stop reading the book because it was depressing me and turning me into a pessimist about my own fertility.
Save your money!.......1999-10-12
I did not care for this book at all. I found that the author's chapter on infertility was on the insulting side.
Not the best survival guide available.......1999-04-10
Although Ms. Fromer gives all the treatment options available for endometriosis the information is the same as what you will find in The Endometriosis Sourcebook. If you are looking for a complete guide to treating this disease then get the sourcebook and do not waste your time and money purchasing this book.

Book Description
Although the financial futures and options markets have only existed since 1972, many current participants have little understanding of their genesis. This unique work offers a much needed historical perspective that provides important insights into the basic functioning of the markets. Petzel explains how these relatively new investment products originated, how they are used, and how the markets in which they are traded work. Petzel begins with an overview of the first fifteen years of financial futures, examining both successes and failures and developing a basic hypothesis of what components are necessary for success. The next two chapters present the fundamentals of futures and options for those who need a thorough grounding in basic concepts such as the standard elements of futures contracts, margins, types of trading, and the structure of the exchanges. Subsequent chapters address equities market strategies, interest rate strategies, and foreign currency futures and options. In the final chapter, Petzel discusses accounting, tax, and regulatory issues that affect the development and trading of financial futures and options. Written for professionals in corporate finance and in the financial services industry who have had little exposure to financial futures and options, the guide includes general examples as well as detailed explanatory tables and figures. The author focuses throughout on the use and construction of contracts, rather than providing particular trading advice or touting any one system of trading.

Essential Information for Military Spouses (& Others).......1998-08-10
This is an excellent book and one which receives my highest recommendation for military spouses. It is absolutely packed with information, and contains hundreds of valuable references. It is an outstanding resource, one you shouldn't be without! It gives full importance and attention to the spouse's career. Although it was published 5 years ago, it is more current than many others published since in terms of its assessment of the job market, and coverage of innovative strategies for career development (not just jobs.)

Book Description
Tom Copeland's landmark book Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies sold in excess of 200,000 copies and was translated into more than 10 languages. The Financial Times declared that its "clarity and competence" made it "one of the best practitioners' guides to valuation." Now, Tom Copeland and Vladimir Antikarov offer the first practical tool explaining the latest state-of-the-art thinking sweeping the corporate world: real options. While option theory itself may have originated in the highly complex world of financial trading, the concept is now firmly placed within the corporate arena, as demonstrated by recent media coverage in The Economist, Business Week, and CFO Europe. Utilizing real options can transform the shifting business landscape into a strategic weapon by creating flexibility in decision making. Given the volatility of the new economy, real options are set to become the key management tool for today's businesses. In this book, the authors offer corporate decision makers the ability to assess the profitability of their ventures and decide which avenue of expansion or investment to go down and, crucially, when to take that leap. The authors take the reader on a journey through real options, from the basics of what they are and how to implement the ideas, through to more advanced topics such as options and game theory, and managing portfolios of options. Throughout the text, analogies, examples, sample problems, illustrations, and reviews are used to explain the techniques. Real Options provides expert guidance on how to implement the theory to maximize investment opportunities by utilizing uncertainty as an asset and reducing downside risk. The book will be accompanied by a website offering solutions to the end of chapter problems prepared by the authors together with a suite of real option models.
Customer Reviews:
This is a ýpartialý practioners giude.......2003-12-09
Be warned! This is a "partial" work.
Mr. Copeland's work is great and insightful (once you download 26 pages of errata and keep it close by). He starts off with NPV and builds up to "rainbow" options. The detail is comprehensive and the chapter end questions are challenging. And this is my beef. You have to pay The Monitor Group an additional $US 30.00 for the solutions to the problems. This is not what I would call "a parishioners guide" but another example of an American corporate rip-off!.
Due to the fact that the errata was the longest I have come across, that the editing was generally so poor, and the solutions are an additional charge, I feel that Texere owes me a complete parishioners guide to real options. By using Real option analysis or NPV, the additional costs in time and money can not justify an investment in this book. A real sunk cost for me.
Mr. Copeland, do not let your name go on such a poorly finished product again.
Errors.......2003-07-16
Is there a list available with all the errors in the book? Does anyone know where to get it?
Delivers on content, but fails badly on presentation.......2003-03-19
Content : A
The book enables the reader to understand the world of real options without having to take a course on stochastic calculus, which is good because otherwise Real Options would be too hard to sell to management. The book is rich on examples and presents the building blocks of almost every combination imaginable. More case studies though would have been a big plus.
Presentation : F
You absolutely should not read the book without first [knowing] the corrections.... There are so many errors everywhere - in formulas, calculations and text (a total of 177 for 350 pages of relevant content !!) - that I could only shake my head in disbelief. Quite obviously, nobody has made even a half-baked attempt to proof-read the book.
Real Options Finally Deliver On Their Promise.......2002-09-06
Accessible to practitioners but occasionally superficial with some flaws in structure and content real options.
Packed with Knowledge!.......2002-05-14
The phrase, "stochastic differential equations" may not trip off your tongue and you may not initially see the joy of learning that replicating portfolio value = mV + B. Yet Tom Copeland and Vladimir Antikarov guarantee that their book is a practical, everyman's guide to the sometimes serious math world of Real Options Analysis (ROA). Thanks to the availability of personal computers and modeling software, everyone can now use ROA. Before PCs, only doctoral students of finance or economics would have been safe attempting it. Sure, ROA is harder than the traditional valuation methods or Net Present Value (NPV), but real options allow you to understand the full value of an asset by taking into account the factors of flexibility, risk and uncertainty. Company case models, the theory behind ROA and equations are all showcased in the book. This can be a challenging text, but we from getAbstract strongly recommend it to all CFOs and anyone charged with evaluating business strategies.
