I first learned of the term Multiple Stream Of Income from Robert Allen the No Money Down guy. He pretty much coined the phrase all the way to the bank. I read his book a few years ago, it was the number one best seller on The New York Times Best Seller's list. I was so thrilled to get my hands on it I just knew that this was the long awaited manuscript that we marketers wanted to give it a test drive.
It was a good read, however it had too many twist and turns and it cost a bit much at the time to implement his methods from just one website, and it was not the results I was looking for. I knew there had to be a better way for us new marketers to reach that illusive extra income stream.
I begin to wonder, can you actually make multiple streams of income online? There's no doubt that the content in Multiple Streams of Income will have your head swirling with wealth-building possibilities.
I believe that the book opens the doors of opportunity in areas you may not have considered. At the same time, not every concept is right for every person.
I found myself skimming chapters I'm not ready to pursue and slow to absorb chapters that contain ideas I can capitalize on right away. When I develop a comfort zone and steady income through the strongest possibilities, I'll re-read the chapters that contained ideas I wasn't ready to develop. Perhaps this tip will also help you.
The section I found to be extremely beneficial was chapter two, The 10-Minute Millionaire. It masterfully explains how to value time so that you can concentrate on the multiple streams open to you. That's key no matter which revenue opportunities you choose.
I appreciate a book that identifies numerous revenue sources, provides examples, and includes charts with a visual perspective on what's possible to increase personal wealth. At the end, your brain may be on overload. However, taking action on just one idea from this book has the potential to change your life for the better.

I was expecting to get a book that would steer me into the course of making some more money on the side. While it does inform readers of ways of generating more cash flow, each chapter seems to just be filled with non-practical wisdom on how to enter each money-making field.

The internet marketing world is so overcrowded that it may be impossible to make consistant returns. This book does have decent info for beginers but i doubt anyone will get rich quick on the techniques described in this book. save your money and invest.

Over the years I have enjoyed reading everything Allen writes. In this book he builds on his idea of making money from multiple sources, and focuses of course on Internet business ideas.
Allen spends too much time, in my opinion, discussing the creation of an email list, which you then use to send ads to. This is fine for a long term approach to Internet marketing, but won't help you make money this week.

Reading this was an ENORMOUS waste of my time. Half way through the book, I realized that I didn't know anymore about making money online than I had before. All Allen does throughout this book is talk about how great he is and how he did this, that and the other thing. He talks about all these so called wonderful marketing strategies, when really all he's doing is promoting spam. I'm not even ON his mailing list and I'm getting [...] from him in my inbox. It's disgraceful. I do not recommend you waste your money on this book.

I have read some of the prior reviews. I don't know where some of the reviewers live but in Vegas, these numbers are in line and they work for me daily! While the concepts may not be new to some, they have helped me make alot of $$$ without using my money or credit. There could have been some instances highlighted to let the investor know what to do if your renter does not pay and leaves you with the payment or damages but that is why you don't spend your up front deposits from the renter. You may need it. Screening your renters is the best way to narrow your renter pool to the right candidate. I also work in the mortgage world so I usually have access to their credit prior to them renting. nothing is a surefire thing, but if you want to make big money for basically being the middle man in a well paying puzzle then I would recommend this book. after you read it, all you need is the correct forms and a solid team. By the way, I downloaded this book for free from the authors site which makes it even better. FREE EDUCATION!!! Good luck and remember, you won't get anything worth while if you don't work hard. This falls into that category. Only You can stop you. Money isn't everything but it makes life easier to deal with when you have more of it.

This is a great book with great information! The author gives you enough information to make the program work without having to make any additional purchases. The book was very easy and quick to read. I would definitely recommend this book to experienced investors as well as to those who are new to the world of real estate investing.

This book offers details on finding motivated sellers, finding tenant buyers, plus case studies with hundreds of tips on how to be an investor. As a volunteer for many different non-profit organizations it is important for me to give back. I love the fact that Peter and David promote helping others as you become wealthy in your investing.

I decided during my senior year in college that I wanted to start investing in real estate. After about a year of investigating and reading about real estate I still hadn't been able to purchase any properties.
Finally I read this book by Peter and David and it actually had step-by-step instructions I could follow and that I felt were a good match with my un-bold personality.
Two years and a half years later I have done 9 deals. I cashed out of one and one was a flip.
If you're looking to get started in real estate, I give this book my highest recommendation.

Great Ideas for a Bigger Game.......2007-07-30
Andrea has compiled a lot of great ideas for coaches and other entrepreneurs to capitalize on what they know, based on a myriad of new ways to generate income and create passive income. At the heart of her writing is the idea that we don't need to limit ourselves by earning income solely based on billable hours...and the fact that we can package and re-package our information, processes, and expertise in many different ways for many different audiences. I also appreciated the notion that we can take a "coaching approach" when teaching our content no matter what media we select.
Although I appreciate the benefit of Andrea's ideas and inspiration, I did not like the layout of the book. For example, I didn't like her over-use of one- and two-sentence paragraphs, subpar highly pixelated graphics, and the "thrown together" look and feel of the book. In contrast, the content was fairly well organized and the book was a quick read, which kept me engaged enough to read it from cover to cover.

I loved this book! It was just what I needed, just when I needed it.
This book was a great wake-up call for me at a time when I was about to re-structure my business. It is too easy to get so wrapped up in your business and all you see everyday are the 'trees'. After reading this book I said "Hey look, a forest".
I have known the concept of multiple streams and the value of group coaching and I have seen the models in action. However, this book resonated with me and I found myself taking notes and journaling new ideas for products and services I will create and implement.
A 300 + page book can seem daunting when you are busy, but the tone and the style the book is written in allows you to sail through the book with ease.

I didn't feel I learned anything new and it wasn't worth the time to read.

Want to know his secret for making $24,000 in 24 hours? First you need to create a website and get thousands of people to sign up for your free newsletter. (He sort of glosses over exactly how he did that). Then wait a year or two to get your subscribers to trust you. Then send out an email selling something to your subscribers and sit back while watching the money flow in. It's as "easy" as that!
I thought his "Multiple Streams of Income" was a pretty good book. Good enough that I actually used some of his ideas in that book a few years back and still have some income streams from them. But this book was practically worthless. The ideas are outdated, the marketing strategies were obvious, and there was no real value from reading it.
If you really want to see what this book is about, check it out from the library and save your money on something else.

Robert G. Allen is a notorious and relentless internet spammer. If you should happen to somehow end up on one of his email lists like I did, he will send you several junk emails a day. Unsubscribing doesn't work, and trying to block the sender's domain is useless because the emails are sent from a different domain every time. The funny part is that the emails aren't even coded properly. They always show up as just a bunch of html code. Would you really take internet money-making advice from a guy who can't even code html properly? Anyway, his spamming practices are completely illegal and it's only a matter of time before the law catches up with him. But that shouldn't come as any surprise considering that mister Allen has been in trouble with the law before. He's had several run-ins with the IRS, lawsuits against him, and a chapter 7 bankruptcy. I would also stay away from his Nothing Down real estate methods. Many of those practices are illegal, and the president of the Nothing Down club in Atlanta wound up in federal prison because of it. Holly really helps put it all together in this book. I've known what should work together, how to do parts of it, but this book is leading me closer to what brings it all together. Wow! Don't believe what Ryan Rayner and Rachel Quin wrote in Nov. 2002. They are the same person and the only reviewers to rank the book one star. (Funny how they wrote exactly the same things on the same day, huh? I wish Amazon would make a better effort to catch these kinds of frauds before posting them.) And check out the other reviews Rachel Quin has done: Star Wars games and a book on Java programming. Hardly the views of a Real Estate Professional. They can "go sell crazy someplace else."
Yes, The Income Stream is a thin book. Yes, the type is large. But it's what it SAYS that's important. This is a book about real estate ACCOUNTING, a complex subject. It's not a "no money down" or "get rich quick" guide.
The main purpose of the book to show you how to use the forms used by Certificated Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) of the National Assn. of Realtors. The CCIM designation is the "doctorate" degree of investment real estate. One of the most important values they compute on an investment is the Internal Rate of Return. IRR is the only variable that gives you an easy-to-use percentage that you can use to compare a real estate investment with non-real estate investments. It combines the analysis of appreciation, tax effects, and cash flow into one number. It's a very useful figure understood by only the cream of the crop of real estate professionals.
If you buy the book, be sure to download the spreadsheets authored by Gary Tharp, CCIM, which are replicas of those used by Gordon in the book. (...)

This book addresses the 4 yields or "tributaries" to the Income Stream: Cash yield, tax shelter yield, equity build-up yield, and appreciation yield. After explaining and discussing each of these yields in depth, the author combines them into one figure: Internal Rate of Return (IRR). This is the magic number that all investors must look at before making any investment decisions. The problem is, without looking at the 4 yields that comprise IRR, you will never find it.
There are 3 important worksheets that are provided and used to gather all of the data needed to derive the 4 yields: Annual Property Operating Data (APOD), Cash Flow Analysis Worksheet (CFAW), and Alternative Cash Sales Worksheet (ACSW). Goodman explains all of the sheets and how to use them.
This is the science of evaluating real estate with hard data. Once the data is gathered, you can make the most informed decision possible. It also leaves no room for surprises: if an investment isn't good, it will be very apparent. The math used is relatively simple, so anyone can comprehend this treatment of the topic.
The techniques can't be argued with. I wonder how many real estate investors actually do this kind of analysis. I know it's the ONLY way I would invest in real estate: real analysis, real answers.
