Book Description
Written by members of the Apollo product team, this is the official guide to the Alpha release of Adobe Apollo, the new cross platform desktop runtime from Adobe Labs.
Apollo for Adobe Flex Developers Pocket Guide explains how to build and deploy Flash-based Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) to the desktop using Adobe's Flex framework. This book describes concisely how Apollo works, and offers numerous examples for those who want to start building RIAs for the desktop right away.
Why put RIAs on the desktop? They're already supposed to offer the responsiveness of desktop programs. Unfortunately, web browsers were designed to deliver and display HTML-based documents, not applications. The conflict between document- and application-focused functionality creates several problems when deploying applications via the browser.
Adobe Apollo gives you the best of both worlds -- the web development model and true desktop functionality. This pocket guide explains how to:
- Set up your development environment
- Create your first application
- Use the File I/O API
- Use HTML within Flex-based Apollo applications
- Use the included Apollo mini-cookbook for common tasks
The book also includes a guide to Apollo packages, classes, and command-line tools. Once you understand the basics of building a Flex-based Apollo application, this pocket guide makes an ideal reference for tackling specific problems.

Pretty good though out of date........2007-07-16
A worthwhile read, but it's already out of date (as it itself warns). Some of the things I tried didn't work because of deprecation. Easy to follow though. Glad I read it.
"Quick and Dirty" Overview.......2007-06-08
If you've been developing Flex, chances are good you've heard a little something about Apollo. This book provides a great overview -- I came away with an excellent understanding of Apollo's "whats" and "hows" within a half hour of picking up this book.
Good quick-start guide for building Flash-based RIA's with Apollo.......2007-05-05
This book is a good overview of what is involved building applications that use the Adobe Flex Framework with the cross-platform desktop runtime, Apollo. The book assumes that the reader has experience creating Flash-based applications using Flex and ActionScript 3.0, and that you want to leverage that experience and move on to deploying applications with Apollo. It is a good basic introduction to get you started, not an in-depth guide by any means.
1. Introduction to Apollo - Explains the difference between the Apollo runtime and Apollo applications, the capabilities and the limits of Apollo, and the basic structure of Apollo applications.
A Short History of Web Applications
Problems with Delivering Applications Via the Browser
Introducing the Apollo Runtime
Primary Apollo Technologies
2. Getting Started with Apollo Development - Discusses how to initialize your development environment and begin building Apollo applications that use the Flex framework. It shows you where to get the resources necessary for Apollo application development and goes through the details of writing and deploying a Hello World application.
Installing the Apollo Alpha 1 Runtime
What You Need in Order to Develop Apollo Applications
Building a Sample Apollo Application
Next Steps
3. Using HTML Within Flex-Based Apollo Applications - Describes how Apollo gives developers a new means of integrating HTML rendering into their desktop applications. Included are some basic applications that demonstrate how to write HTML-enabled Apollo applications.
HTML Support in Apollo
Using the Flex HTML Component
Using the HTMLControl Class
Script Bridging: Communicating Between ActionScript and JavaScript
4. Using the File System API - Discusses the various aspects of the Apollo file I/O API that enables applications to have a great deal of freedom in dealing with the files and directories of the user's computer. There are quite a few code snippets in this chapter that serve as simple examples.
Security Model
Accessing Files and Directories
Asynchronous and Synchronous Versions of Methods
Reading Directory Contents
Getting File Information
Copying and Moving Files and Directories
Creating Files and Directories
Deleting Files and Directories
Reading and Writing Files
5. Apollo Mini-Cookbook - O'Reilly, famous for its cookbook series, provides a mini cookbook of solutions to common problems in Apollo applications and includes working MXML code. Recipes include those for reading and writing text from a string, encoding data into PNG or JPEG format and writing it to the file system, and working with the Windowing API.
Working with the File System
Working with HTML
Using the Windowing API
Apollo Packages and Classes
Apollo Command-Line Tools
Actually you can find this book freely available online. Just type "Adobe Apollo for Flex developers pocket guide" without the quotes into Google. It should be the top address.
For the early-adopter .airHead.......2007-04-01
§
Adobe's Apollo, in the just-released alpha runtime, is the latest entry in the world of "Rich Internet Application" frameworks.
Advocates of RIA frameworks often weaken their arguments for the Web-aware desktop by disparaging browser-based applications beyond the credible. The universe of browser-based applications continues to expand for very good reasons.
Give the authors, all members of the Apollo product team, plenty of credit for their relaxed approach in this guide. Their introductory chapter sticks to a positive case for their approach rather than attack the weaknesses of current Web apps.
Chapters 2 and 3 outline setting up the environment and move quickly to working with the HTML rendering engine. Following chapters deal with the security model and the file system and windowing APIs.
The weakness of the book is that it is Flex-centric in its "hello world" examples. The book reflects the state of the Apollo alpha. The book itself is clear and easy to follow.

Ok book. .......2007-05-26
This book contains nothing that you cannot find for yourself. Nothing unique at all, and i don't recommend it unless you are not very good with the operation of windows. Save your money, and open some online articles that have the same information.
Yet another handy pocket guide from O'Reilly.......2007-03-16
This is a concise guide to most of the features in Vista and I've found it very helpful so far. Its brief nature keeps the book at a great size for leaving in one's travel bag, which is where I've got my copy.
The book makes great use of its small size. There's a nice grid comparing the different versions of Vista, and scads of little articles on features ranging from the control panel to User Account Control. The articles aren't very deep, but give you the necessary info to quickly get the gist of a topic. Where pertinent, there are also useful links to more detailed information on a given topic.
I particularly like that the book doesn't go too far around the bend with its coverage of the multi-media features of Vista. I'm also happy to see separate chapters on registry tweaks and use of the command prompt -- plus many of the articles give you the command prompt usage for features. Those two particular chapters aren't for everyone, but I'm sure many geeks like myself appreciate their inclusion.
Overall it's a great book for quickly finding bits you may not know about Vista, or refreshing yourself about bits you may have forgotten.
It fits in your pocket but is no replacement for experience........2007-03-13
Windows Vista Pocket Reference is just that, a small and light book that will easily fit into your pocket or into a laptop bag.
With just five chapters and 182 pages, this is definitely a lightweight guide. It contains a short introduction to Vista, several chapters focusing on the programs that ship with the operating system and the controls for Vista. A short guide to the registry and a listing of all keyboard/mouse shortcuts.
Chapter 1 - A Crash Course in the Basics. A brief introduction to Windows Vista. This covers moving around the operating system, files and disk basics and the hardware requirements.
Chapter 2 - Shortcuts. Here you can find every conceivable combination of keyboard and mouse shortcut. From the Windows key on your keyboard to moving files around with your mouse.
Chapter 3 - Windows Components, Features and Settings. Here's sixty some odd pages covering many of the programs that ship with Vista, networking, security, user and program management, graphics and multimedia.
Chapter 4 - Registry Tweaks. This is a crash course on the registry and a few useful tweaks.
Chapter 5 - The Command Prompt. Here's a quick but comprehensive guide to the Windows Vista command prompt.
This guide doesn't pretend to be a comprehensive look at Windows Vista. It is a great pocket reference. The shortcut guide alone is worth the price of this book.
This book is defiantly going into my laptop bag for the simple reason that it's much faster too look something up in it than to wander through the OS until I find what I'm looking for.
The crash course in windows is a bit abrupt, it's good enough if you're familiar with Windows XP. If you're new to the game however this short guide will not be enough for you. Better to dig into Vista yourself and skip this chapter.
The guide to components and features is a great reference. Good for looking up quick facts on how to use the various programs and what the various features and wizards are really for.
Pros: Slim, with an great guide to every and any shortcut you could ever want to know. This is a great guide for experienced Windows users.
Cons: While this book is short and to the point, sometimes it's a bit too short. If you're a computer beginner or new to Windows, this book is not for you.
Recommend: If you have other, more comprehensive books on Vista then you may not need this guide. If you're a tech or power user new to Vista, then you'll find this guide helpful. It doesn't make for great linear reading but serves as an excellent and small resource for finding quick facts or finding out just what a Vista feature is used for.
Quick and dirty pocket reference.......2007-03-07
169(!) pages of Windows Vista "secrets" in a small pocket-size format! Following the traditions of "true geek" reference materials this book from O'Reilly is all you need to guide you through Vista quick and dirty.
Chapter1: A crash course in the basics; Chapter2: Shortcuts; Chapter3: Windows Components, Features and Settings; Chapter4: Registry Tweaks; Chapter 5: The command prompt.
No screenshots, no fluff... instead, you get a task-oriented reference guide for Windows Vista.
I didn't see anything on Active Directory integration...
Don't buy this book as a study guide.

Remember to Play Your Wild Cards!.......2006-03-31
Google Pocket Guide, 2003
By Tara Calishain, Rael Dornfest, and D.J. Adams
Published by O'Reilly and Associates, Inc.
ISBN: 0-596-00550-4
Paperback, 129pp
The search engine Google, born on September 7, 1998, derived its name from a word invented by a nine-year-old child, Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician, Edward Kasner. As with precocious children like Milton or the giant bean stalks of English fairy tales, it is difficult to keep up with Google's rapid development. Until I read the Google Pocket Guide, by Tara Calishain, Rael Dorfest and DJ Adams I was unaware of all the things Google has learned to do. Now, in addition to finding Web pages that contain keywords, Google helps me find telephone numbers, solve mathematical equations and cook -- Google can convert cups to pints or just about anything to anything else. Using google maps, I can look at the crater, Giordano Bruno, on the dark side of the Moon, fly to Mars or see my house and yard in a satellite picture that seems to have been taken from only few hundred feet away. The pocket guide is full of information about how to use features I never knew existed. Did I mention Google Images? After reading Google Pocket Guide, I want to read more books about Google. I would like to read Google Hacks, Google: The Missing Manual and Google Maps Hacks.
In addition to describing all the things Google has learned to do, the Google Pocket Guide explains how to make searches more efficient (Part II), "explains how to interpret Google's results pages and URLs, and set preferences to influence what those pages contain" (Part III), and goes into advanced functionality like Language Tools, Groups, Directories and News (Part IV).
The authors say, "Knowing how to be specific with your search criteria is key. That's what this book is all about." To remember this I think (ASAP=ASAP) the key to getting results ASAP is being As Specific As Possible. For instance, instead of searching every Web site on the Internet, limit your search to educational sites by using special syntax (also referred to as advanced search operators). For example, when I search for "plenoptic camera site:edu" Google will return results from educational sites only. The authors also suggest using basic Boolean operators like NOT, represented by the minus sign, AND and OR. Did you know that Google limits queries to ten words and ignores the rest?
Tara Clishain, Rael Dornfest and DJ Adams have delivered a lot of information in only 129 pages. This book is a great starting point for anyone wanting to know Google better. This is a link you might find useful: http://www.google.com/help/features.html.
Google is fun:)

For many, surfing the Net is a matter of going to Google (or any other search engine) and simply typing in a name, a phrase, or any relative brief statement that will hopefully bring them the desired results for their search. However, for a lot of people today, surfing the Net is a very cumbersome job, and nets very few exacting effects. In fact, many surfers will find the results to their search in the millions - yes millions of web pages that are offering the right answer to a desired query. At first, this is fun to see all those pages, but after a few scrolls down the item list of possible correct sights, one soon gets discouraged and the sites that have no real information regarding the initial request.
So, how does the serious surfer get the information they request in Google? How does one eliminate a few million hits down to a more manageable search? It is not easy, yet with the help of Google Pocket Guide you will be able to narrow down and zero in on the item you are searching. As the authors claim, "The Internet is not a library" as many now believe. In fact, the authors point out that "So search engine - not even Google - knows everything." But with the guidance of this easy-to-follow pocket guide, you can certainly target your search to a much more manageable result, thus saving you hours of frustration and possible failure to disclose any relevant information you desire.
The book takes you from a "Simple Example" to an "Advance Search" guiding you along in each step to successful searches. The table of contents is clearly marked out, the main parts are in BOLD text for a quick and easy reference. You are taken on a quick tour of the relevant ways in which Google works, using syntax, wildcards, exacting query wording, phrase searches, basic Boolean, and much more. Part III, "UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU GET", goes into detail about interface language, search language, SafeSearch Filtering and more...this all sounds quite technical, but the Google Pocket Guide explains all this technical stuff in very easy-to-follow language, and it gives you the basics of how and what Google is doing while you surf. Part IV highlights Google's other services and features that can save you even more time and narrow your searches to specific areas, such as News, Images, Browsing Groups, Stock Trading, Searching Article Archives and much more.
For the more adventurous surfer Google Pocket Guide explains how to find Technical Definitions, Consulting Phonebooks, Directories of Information, Finding Weblog Commentary. The Google Toolbar is a great add-on to your web browser and the how-to-install is easily explained herein. Don't forget to check out the "Googling with Bookmarklets". These Bookmarklets "are like bookmarks but with an extra bit of JavaScript magic added. This makes them more interactive than regular bookmarks; they can perform small functions like opening a window, grabbing highlighted text from a web page, or submitting a query to a search engine."
As you can see, surfing the Net is changing and Google is at the forefront of this change. Surfing with the guidance of the Google Pocket Guide is not only extremely efficient, but also it is fun to check out all the various features that make surfing a much more efficient and enjoyable adventure. Happy Googling!

Great reference!.......2005-03-11
The Google Pocket Guide is a small subset of the main google book.
this is a handy refernce in its own right.
Just buy it.......2004-10-08
Like all great products, the ability to start using it should be instant, but the possible features up for usage should be very deep.
Google makes it simple for anyone to do a search. This book helps make it simple for anyone to do a GREAT search.
Well worth the money.
What's next - an operating manual for my toothbrush?.......2004-07-11
You've got to be kidding. I saw this and numerous other volumes at the bookstore about using Google and I laughed out loud. I had to pull this one off the shelf and see if it was a joke. After spending about 30 minutes flipping through it (that's about all it takes to get from front to back) I realized just how jealous I was becoming for not having thought of writing such a book first. The formula is simple - cull through readily available information on the Internet and repackage it in a friendly format for all the rubes with disposable income burning a hole in their pocket (come to think of it - isn't that the O'Reilly business plan?). What is so ironic is that Google was developed to be EXTREMELY easy - a true search engine for the masses. Its fundamental appeal is its ease of use, making guidebooks such as these silly at best, sad at the very worst. Take my advice, save your money and go treat yourself to a pizza.

Good read for beginnners.......2007-02-16
This is a good read if you are just beginning photography. It's small size makes it a good field reference tool for beginning photographers and provides a lot of basic information, but does not really go into detail.
More advanced photographers will not find anything new in this book; it truly is for beginners.
Digital Camera use.......2005-10-19
The book is good and provides pointers to get better pictures and use of functions. It is worth it
Not Worth the Money.......2005-09-16
Not worth the money. This puny book doesn't go in depth in any of the subjects regarding photography. Perhaps a good reference guide for beginners/novices, but not helpful for advanced photographs. Not worth the hefty $10 price tag, I'm sure you can find something to more wisely spend your money.
Not Terribly Bad.............2005-09-08
I found the manual a bit too generic to really serve my need. I am just getting into photography and picked up a couple of books for help. This one had/has so so reviews and it was cheap enough. It really didn't shed any light to any of the issues I was looking for. Check out "Understanding Exposure" - I really found that to be an eye opening book that suited my needs to a tee.

Book Description
Knoppix is a portable Linux distribution replete with hundreds of valuable programs and utilities -- a veritable Swiss Army knife in bootable CD form. It includes Linux software and desktop environments, automatic hardware detection and hundreds of other quality open source programs.
Whether you're a system administrator or power user, you can use Knoppix for many different purposes. Knoppix boots and runs completely from a single CD so you don't need to install anything to your hard drive. Due to on-the-fly decompression, the CD can have up to 2 GB of executable software installed on it.
What you do need, however, is a comprehensive reference guide so you can benefit from all that Knoppix has to offer. The Knoppix Pocket Reference from O'Reilly fits the bill. This handy book shows you how to use Knoppix to troubleshoot and repair your computer, how to customize the Knoppix CD, running RAM memory checks, recovering data from a damaged hard drive, cloning hard drives, using Knoppix as a Terminal Server, using Knoppix as a kiosk OS, scanning for viruses on a Windows system, editing the Registry of a Windows system, and much more.
If you want more information than the average Knoppix user, Knoppix Pocket Reference is an absolutely essential addition to your personal library.
Customer Reviews:
Pocket reference.......2007-05-24
I expected more of a reference to supplement "Hacking Knoppix," but still worth the price.
Very handy quick reference.......2005-12-12
A short reference that does away with all the hand-holding detail the Knoppix Pocket Reference is a great guide to how to do almost everything you want to do with Knoppix as well as resolve minor trouble issues. The items covered in this reference include the various startup codes that can be used when booting Knoppix, how to boot the different kernels, booting into different graphic modes, booting without hardware detection, disabling power management, disabling various hardware subsystems, implementing various kernel options, using options to make it run from memory or the hard drive instead of the CD, configuring persistent configuration information between sessions, imaging the hard drive, repairing the filesystem, repairing Windows systems, virus scanning and repair, and remastering Knoppix. When you just need to know how to do something and don't want to drag out the six hundred page book to try to find it you will find the Knoppix Pocket Reference a great investment.
Nice quick reference for using Knoppix as a tool..........2005-07-19
If you've had your eyes opened to the power of Knoppix as a Swiss Army knife of administration tools, Rankin's latest book will be the quick reminder guide of how best to use it... Knoppix Pocket Reference.
Contents: Introduction; Cheat Codes; Special Knoppix Tools; Install Knoppix to the Hard Drive; Image or Erase a Drive; Linux Security Response; Linux System Repair; Windows System Repair; Remaster Knoppix; Experimental Features; Final Words; Acknowledgements; Index
Pocket references are small (this one is less than 100 pages), so they are not good introductory guides to the subject at hand. This one is no different. If you're simply playing with Knoppix in order to see what desktop Linux is all about, you can easily pass on this book. You'll get a bit more out of it if you're looking to run Knoppix a bit more regularly (by installing it on your hard drive or saving configurations between reboots). Still, Knoppix Hacks would probably be a better title to better understand those techniques. Where this book shines is when you decide to use Knoppix as a bootable OS to allow you to administer and repair systems that are no longer working correctly (both Linux *and* Windows). Since you don't have to have a bootable sector on your hard drive to use it, you can get Knoppix up and running from a CD and then use it to repair the underlying hard drive. If you have a virus or rootkit installed, a Knoppix boot will allow you to get a clean system up and running which can then check out the hard drive for repair. Knoppix Pocket Reference will help remind you of the steps you need to take to accomplish some of these tasks. You're only getting the core commands with very little fluff, so you can quickly hone in on the trouble spot.
This is the book I'd recommend as a follow-up purchase to Knoppix Hacks. If you decide to use Knoppix in the ways that the Hacks book reveals, Knoppix Pocket Guide will be the volume that you refer to until the commands are burned into your memory.

Tips for where to buy products cheaply and how to sell for a big profit abound in this guide.
Customer Reviews:
VERY disappointed with this book.......2007-06-09
I am a "small-time" seller on ebay and I was looking to "up my game" with this book. For me, it was a complete waste of money.
The information in this book can be gleaned from just using ebay a few times. If you have never bought anything on ebay and can't navigate the ebay website or learn things there for yourself, this is the book for you. (However, if you know nothing about ebay, websites, help files or computers, maybe an ebay business selling clothing, shoes and accessories isn't a business you should be thinking about starting? Since there are a lot of people already way ahead of you?)
If it was called "Ebay for Dummies" or "An Absolute Beginners Guide To Ebay", then I think it would be more accurately sold and marketed, and an excellent guide.
90% of the information in the book pertains to ebay selling basics and only 10% is specific information that would help you sell clothing, shoes and accessories, if you had never done so before.
Example: you are told that,to start your ebay business, you will need a computer and a modem (and describes what a modem is), etc.
I think a lot of people would like to sell on ebay and don't know anything about it. They are more comfortable with a book format than a website for learning. This is a wonderful book for them. However, the book description should be more accurate for those of us who shop for books online and can't page through the book.
Great little resource book.......2007-05-26
This is really a great little book. Most of the info is actually common sense, but it's all together in one book. It makes for an excellent reference as you get to know how things work on eBay. It may say it applies to Clothing, Shoes and Accessories, but the how-to-do-it applies equally well to almost any item you want to sell.
I know my sales on eBay have gone from zero (yes that's right) to probably around 80% of items I list now. Way cool!
I would strongly recommend this book to beginners, who shouldsit down with a highlighter pen, and read through it. For the professional seller - also a good read, as there will be things you have forgotten....

This was the first "How-to-sell-on-eBay" book that I have read and it was a great start. Davis writes in a clear and concise style how to do everything, from start to finish. She de-mystifies the online selling process, and spreads useful tips and hints throughout the book.
Resourceful guide in a hot category.......2006-07-02
I had previously read Davis' book, Make Big Profits on eBay (co-written with Jacquelyn Lynn), and immensely enjoyed it while learning how to improve my eBay business. So when the new pocket guides came out, I grabbed them in great anticipation. This is the first book I have read in the series and I was not disappointed. I have learned where and how to find quality clothing and accessories (both new and used) in places that I never considered before. Plus I have learned different ways to take pictures to show my items off to their best advantage - a must for any eBay seller. I also like the interesting sellers that are introduced to readers because they are every day people like you and me who have managed to make a success of their eBay business in a short amount of time. After reading this book, I feel confident that I can succeed in the clothing, shoes and accessories category.
Useful, well-written info about this category, but generic how-to chapters weaken the punch........2006-06-30
Having read a number of general "must-have" eBay books, I was delighted that Charlene Davis and Entrepreneur zeroed in on clothing, shoes and accessories. Right down my runway!
I was looking forward to an insider's take on topics like taking pictures (especially shoes, jewelry, ties, etc.), overall best-sellers, sourcing and more--in-depth info about selling *clothing,* which the cover copy says is "eBay's second-largest category." But the book doesn't quite deliver on addressing and answering the "host of issues" that "this unique category poses."
The first 2/3 of the book does cover many key points about selling clothes, etc., and is indeed more specific than the usual how-to. Davis writes in an engaging, credible, me-to-you way that makes for an easy, informative read. And her sidebars, tips and pointers are great.
I'd have liked hearing from more sellers, though, especially some "everyday" people rather than all large-volume sellers. (PS: One parenthetical Seller ID per name is enough, but apparently not for Entrepreneur. Annoying.)
Then the last 1/3 shifts from clothing to generic how-to-eBay. Too many pages are spent on basic basics: payments, packing/shipping, accounting, hiring (!) and similar all-purpose eBay and general business mechanics. Doesn't belong here. (And much of it doesn't sound quite like Davis anymore. Entrepreneur boilerplate?) It's not what readers will want from this book; to me, it was a disappointing use of space.
As a guide to selling *clothes,* the book doesn't go deep enough . . . and as a basic how-to, it doesn't say enough--and didn't need say to anything. Dummies, eBay Bible, Davis's Make Big Profits (with Jacquelyn Lynn) and others do that better.
Still, this is a good starter at a great price. For useful sell-clothing-on-eBay info in Davis's clear, charming style, buy this book.

A wonderful reference.......2004-03-23
I use this book quite a bit. In fact, I'm on my second copy (my first having fallen apart). My brother, who is also an HTML programmer, is on his fifth copy. This book never fails to teach me something new just by browsing through it. I love the fact that it is just a straight reference, and not a how-to book.
i love this book.......2003-10-12
Honestly ... out of all the computer books I've purchased (and I've purchased a lot) this is by far the most useful ... I know my way around HTML pretty well and I still use it constantly. This book is great for those starting out and advanced users as well. Excellent!
A must have.......2002-01-29
Outstanding reference guide. Everything in one place, and easy to find.
most useful reference I have.......2000-06-16
I use this book constantly while I'm working on HTML. I recommend it for all HTML users from beginners to experts. I'm a self-taught HTML author and I've learned as much from this reference as from actual tutorials. I particularly like that it has an "index" of HTML tags printed on the inside covers, because usually I just need to check the syntax for a specific tag and this list makes it very convenient to find what I'm looking for. For each tag, the book provides a definition of how it's used, a list of the attributes with brief descriptions, context (other tags within which the tag can be used), suggested usage, and -- best of all -- examples.

Good basic guide for newbies.......2006-07-03
I just finished reading the second eBay book in the pocket guide series and I must confess that I did not enjoy it as much as the first (How to Sell Clothing). I think perhaps the writer got off on the wrong foot when she admitted in the beginning pages that she knew nothing about selling collectibles (or anything else) on eBay before writing it. Although I understood the point she was trying to make, this does not inspire much confidence in readers who want to learn the ins and outs of the business. Some things are better left unsaid.
And other things need to be expanded on. For example, the book covered most of the basics on starting and operating an eBay business in an easy-to-understand format, which is a plus. But if you are looking to find new information on how and where to find collectibles, or inspirational ideas for different niches in the collectibles category, the book does not have much to offer in those areas. However, I did enjoy the spotlight sidebars which offered interesting trivia about renowned collectibles and memorabilia.
Bottom line: This book could be a good resource for someone new to eBay who wants to sell collectibles; but experienced sellers will probably want to pass.
