Customer Reviews:
Cage is hilarious.......2007-09-12
recently spent an enlightening evening with Diana Cage's "Box Lunch - The Layperson's Guide to Cunnilingus," a delightful manual on the fine art of carpet munching. Cage does a great job in writing a handbook that addresses people of every gender and sexuality.
In this laugh-out-loud guide, Cage covers everything from basic anatomy to advanced oral techniques that should provide you and whomever you fall into bed with hours of enjoyment! It's also a great introduction to things that some may consider a little bit kinky, but that most are at least curious about, like sucking dyke cock, anal play, and BDSM.
There's an informative chapter dedicated to health concerns because as Cage says, "Knowledge is power, and being powerful is hot!" She also manages four pages of "Fabulously Fun names to call your Pussy," including "Christina Aguilera" which is either a hilariously inane reference to pop music's dirty girl thrown in for the author's own amusement, or something that needs to be explained to me!
This is the kind of book that should be passed amongst lovers and friends alike. It's bound to provide enlightenment, laughs, and a little inspiration to get your nose out of a book and in between a woman's thighs!
Average at Best.......2007-08-23
I have no idea what compelled most of the reviewers to rate this book 5 stars. I read the book, and though it was somewhat entertaining and easy to read, it just didn't give me any special information. I assumed there were going to be some special tricks that I could use, but got little more than information about a few positions, a paragraph or two about how to lick, and then some info on doing anal. Interesting, sure, but nothing new. It's a decent read, but you probably won't learn anything new.
Good for putting you to sleep.......2007-05-29
This book spends one chapter on technique. Need I say more? The rest is Sex 101 information. If you're looking to learn how to improve your technique I suggest you just ask your partner for direction rather than read this.
Oral Sex Guide.......2007-05-21
Practical advice on how to perform oral sex is peppered with funny euphemisms, which make this guide hilarious in addition to providing great tips.
Better than a Bento.......2007-02-20
Diana Cage is amazingly funny and completely on target with this book- a hilarious and helpful guide to being a cunning linguist. I appreciate unlike some reviewers, the personal touches here- without her anecdotes this would be a fairly dull manual. As is, this book has adorable illustrations by Colleen Coover and more euphemisms for oral sex than I ever knew existed!

Customer Reviews:
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!.......2006-08-23
This so called coaching is a complete waste of time, and money. The first CD is FILLED with him telling you how great this is, rather than just showing it through the work. Then, it winds up being a lot of pranayama -- yogic breathing, and not well done at that.
I returned it the day after I received it.
Amazing!!!.......2006-07-05
I have been doing the daily exercises for slightly more then a month and they help tremendously! All the information Roger Love gives you in all of the CDs is all you need to understand how Vocal Power really works. The only thing thats missing is personal coaching, but thats only if you want further advancement or feel like you need it.
Recommend it to anyone who wants to develop charisma, clarity, and confidence in their voice.
Hummm...Save your money & go to a local voice coach........2006-01-09
I never made it beyond CD #1 because that was so uninteresting that I wasn't going to subject myself to further rambling. The "coach" does LOTS of name dropping & just giving examples. During the whole of CD #1, he gave about 2 mins. of actual work for you to try. The rest was just listening to him speak about...him. I would save my money and go to your local voice coach. I think you will be much better off. If one is not listed in your phone book, try your local high school music teachers (they give private lessons after school to make extra money). You can also try a local community college or church music director. Go for live help, not CD. Besides, an actual person can help you with specific areas where a CD just keeps repeating itself. I hope this helped...
Great for everyone!.......2005-11-10
I loved the insights and exercises given to help overcome the fear of speaking in public....and I don't mean just professional public speaking. Learning how to connect with others in a group, no matter how small, is something I always had a hard time doing...Roger Love teaches that posture, gestures, and breathing correctly, along with a positive inner dialogue can help you feel and sound more confident. The fact that this is on CD is so much better than if it were something written....he is so inspiring to listen to and his stories about his famous clients are wonderful and quite entertaining. This audio book will help so many people who are just a little shy and need to know how to communicate easily with others.
Same information as "Set your voice free".......2005-10-04
This Audio book is very similar to his regular book called "Set Your Voice Free". Although this book seems more geared towards speakers while the other seems more geared towards singers.
A lot of information about developing your voice (breathing, overcoming undesirable vocal traits, finding your middle voice) was also in his regular book called "Set Your Voice Free". There are a lot of passages that are copied word-for-word. A lot of the vocal exercises are identical. I found that information very helpful.
Some information, that is not in "Set Your Voice Free", deals more with pyschological mumbo jumbo about developing a postive mindset. Like overcoming your fears by telling yourself "they want to hear me. They love me". Or overcoming your nervousness by simply being prepared. I don't know whether this information is useful or not.
So if you get one book, you could probably just skip the other.

Seriously Fun Advice!.......2007-09-12
Jill Conner Browne has a REAL voice that speaks volumes about love, friendship and living life "out loud". Buy one for yourself and one to lend to friends, better yet, it makes a great birthday gift!
Not just For Women Only!.......2007-09-11
Since this is the 289th review posted here, I can't see much point in writing an actual review. So , here are some of my favorite bits:
The recipes! This was totally unexpected, and I only read them because she's such a good writer. And the names! "Fat Mama's Knock You Naked Margaritas"! " Come Back Sauce"! "Danger Pudding"! -- the latter prepared by boiling an unopened can of condensed milk.... "You shouldn't do any of this yourself, because you could be killed. Come by my house, and I'll make it for us. I'm very brave."
"What to Eat Before and After an Assignation
Well, "before" is a no-brainer; you can't eat a damn thing. If you do, your stomach will pooch out like you're twelve month's pregnant, and it will ruin the lines of your trashy lingerie...."
"Chapter 10, Men Who Signal Danger.
Run away! Run Away!"
Chapter 11, Men Who May Need Killing. Which is where you'll find detailed instructions on what to do if you find a possum sleeping under your bed. At 2:30 AM.
"What would daddy do? He would know, without the slightest hesitation... Daddy picked a fine time to be dead for fifteen years..."
And I won't even try to describe the Houseguest's Dilemma: "...all the lights blazed on, and there stood her hosts, staring in bewildered disbelief at this grown woman squatting over and urinating into their very large mixing bowl."
This certainly isn't a "For Women Only" book -- indeed, it's as funny a book as I've read in quite awhile. You never know with humor, but if you like Florence King ("Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady"), definitely try Browne. And, if you've missed King, you're in for a treat there, too.
Not to be missed, if you're a fan of raunchy slapstick.
Happy reading--
Peter D. Tillman

Great book for the Aspie Dad.......2007-09-07
My husband brought this book home when it was first out in paperback. It captured how he and our son relate--they bond over my husband's obsessions, which he shares with such wit and enthusiasm that it's difficult to not enjoy whatever the obsession du jour is. It's a "keeper"--a book that so perfectly reflects our reality in a gentle and loving way that it remains on our bookshelf, even though our son is now a teen. (My husband was later diagnosed with Asperger's, and the more we read about how Aspies and their neuro-typical families relate, the more we love this book.) I'm sure A Special Kind of Love, along with Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach, will be passed down someday, when my kid reaches adulthood and has children of his own.
Awesome Illustrations and Content!.......2002-12-06
I love to read to kids. As an instructor with an Education degree and as a mom, I get to read often. I ran across this story substitute teaching and fell in love with it. I had to have it! The artwork is outstanding and the story tremendous! If you loved "The Giving Tree", you'll love this one, too! This is now another of my favoite gifts to give to new parents (or not so new parents!) to read to their kids. ....Yes, there's more than one way to say "I love you!".....
A heart-warming story........1999-12-02
I would reccommend this book to anyone who has ever loved someone and they don't know how to show it. The father in the story reminded me much of my own father, which made it even more touching. In the book, the son loves his father and his father loves boxes. But, the father also loves the boy, but has a hard showing it. So, he makes his son things to play with out of the boxes, such as air planes and castles, to show his love for him. The neighbors all think that he is strange and laugh at him, but he doesn't mind because he has found a "special" way to show his love. I think that this story can warm anyone's heart.
A book about the magical love between a son and his father.......1999-11-11
My six year old son loved this book. We checked it out from our local library and we have read it more that twelve times in two weeks. This book is about the powerful, magical and wonderful relationship that exists between a father and his son. The son loves his father and the father loves boxes. The boxes become the man's way of showing his son his great love for him. Magical and simple, a real winner. It shows love in its most primitive way.

some good, clean fun on a rainy day or any day!.......2002-11-19
The box comes with the 30 love cards, which are basically tarot cards for the love life. The books tells you different ways to use and read the cards and what each one stands for, etc.
The book also has some little love spells to use along with the cards, none of which are bad or are intended to harm anyone. Good luck with your love spell!!
Warning Printing Error Page Missing From Brand New Book.......2002-10-23
I bought the book and set a few months ago(Brand new and factory sealed). It is a nice little set. I have not used any of the spells. It is a basic little set more for entertainment. Last night I did a reading for myself. I found a card defenition missing from the book. On page 35 it should have the info for Lady of forbidden love. Instead it has a reprint of the title page for the book. This is a major printing error. I just wanted to warn everyone who may purchase the set. I just contated the publisher to let them know.
TOO SIMPLE.......2001-10-12
This book doesn't offer any in-depth exploration into spells at all and is not particularly informative in any way. The cards attached ain't particularly helpful too and the predictions given is not accurate at all as well and rather contradicting.
The book's content is rather minimum and only good for leisure reading or gift to someone with its attractive packaging and cover.
Excellent Assistance for True Love.......2001-09-04
This is an excellent system for beginners and anyone uncertain of their current love situation. I asked the cards questions and received answers, as well as an understanding of my love situation (by reading the cards). I performed the suggested spells based upon the cards that appeared in my love reading. The predictions given in my readings were very accurate and the love spells WORKED (with mundane action). The book also offers helpful tips in performing spells and proper meditation methods to prepare for these rituals. The spells are easy and uses everyday, simple materials. I performed a spell to reunite me with my soul mate, with careful thought and understanding, this was not from lust or revenge. Only perform these spells for TRUE LOVE and put full belief in your spells. Love spells can be dangerous, so research other books and sources prior to performing a spell. And if you still choose to do so, Gillian Kemp's Love Spell Box is your best choice for assistance. Other books will give you working spells, but these love cards are special because they lead you in the proper direction of understanding why you should perform certains spells. Without the cards, you could perform a spell that could lead to pain or one that is not going to help your situation, the love cards help prevent this scenario. These cards are based on love only, they should not be confused with tarot cards that focus on the full circle of life.
Great Box of Love.......2001-03-05

Book Description
Christy Campbell's mesmerizing tale of The Maharaja's Box begins with a list of names of "dormant account holders" published by the Swiss Bankers Association in 1997, during investigations of "Nazi gold." Many of the accounts belonged to Jewish victims of the Holocaust; one was the property of an Indian princess, the deceased daughter of Maharajah Duleep Singh, last Emperor of the Sikhs. Duleep Singh took the throne at the age of five and was King of the Punjab for four years (1845-1849). When the area was annexed by the British, Singh was forced to resign his wealth-including the world famous Koh-i-nor diamond-and all claims to sovereignty. What long-lost fortune might have been locked away in the princess's safety deposit box?
Author Christy Campbell sets out on an investigation that takes him across several continents and into the archives of many strange and dubious characters. He uses a wealth of documents-including nineteenth-century newspaper articles, personal letters written by such notable figures as Queen Victoria, the memoirs of British diplomats, ministers, and foreign secretaries, and the reports of British and Russian spies-to re-create in stunning detail the life of Duleep Singh and his attempt, in middle age, to reclaim his throne and overthrow British rule in India. The result is a fascinating and true tale of espionage, intrigue, and illicit love.
Customer Reviews:
Good but needs more editing.......2006-04-30
It is amazing to see that so many sikhs take such pride about Duleep Singh where in reality what comes up from the book is that he was a fallen and a weak man consumed in alcohol and sex and who could not be trusted. If Ada was a spy who used her sexual power to reduce him to a fakir then what he deserves is nothing more than what he got at the end.
A newspaper article would suffice.......2004-09-13
This book describes a forgotten tale of an Indian Maharaja removed from his throne by the British, and his futile attempts to return to India.
The book is extremely long. It details every letter and every telegram the author was able to place his hands on. It might be interesting if you have some family connections to the Maharaja, but otherwise, it is just tiring.
A newspaper article would have summarized the whole affair in enough detail. The book is too detailed to be interesting.
Splendid Tale About A Forgotten 19th Century Plot.......2002-11-13
"The Maharajah's Box" reads as well as any splendid mystery written by the likes of Agatha Christie or P. D. James. But best of all, it is a gripping account of a forgotten plot in 19th Century British history, which had widespread reprecussions for Great Britain's relations with both France and Russia. Campbell does an admirable job recounting the sordid tale of Maharajah Duleep Singh, the last king of Lahore, in what is now Pakistan and northwestern India, and his feeble, almost comical, attempts at regaining his throne. Along the way we meet an intriguing, often bizarre, cast of Indian spies, Russian politicans and soldiers and Irish revolutionaries. If you're interested in a true story of political intrigue, this is one tome which shouldn't be missed!
Book Description
Children are subjected to great stress and anxiety while growing up in a dangerous and fast changing world. Parents struggle too, especially to find ways to communicate with their children and to show how much they care. This practical and valuable little book presents a proven method of staying in touch with your children throughout their school years.
Lunch Box Letters is the result of the experience of two parents who -- separately -- wrote notes to their children on a regular basis and were immensely encouraged, by the results. Now they show how you can use their successful method to communicate with your own kids. They provide sample letters to let you see just how simple these little notes are to write - and how important they are to both parent and child. They also answer common questions that parents raise, such as 'Where do I find the time?' 'What if I have three kids?' or 'What if I'm a lousy speller?'
As the authors make perfectly clear, you do not have to be Shakespeare to write lunch letters. (In fact, it's probably best if you're not.) Your children just want to hear your voice - to know that you care enough to write a few words for them to read in the middle of the day.
Lunch Box Letters contains 75 sheets of colorful notepaper, perforated and ready for you to tear out and use. Just add a few words and tuck the finished letter into your children's lunch boxes. They will be thrilled. And you'll find that with this book to help you, the message takes almost no time at all.
Some of the letters that Carol and Bill have written are simple expressions of love, notes of encouragement, or appreciation of the progress that children make in growing up. Some are designed to help kids overcome uncertainty, some are even apologies. And some are written simply for fun.
Customer Reviews:
Have a hard time deciding what to say?.......2001-09-03
The first forty-three pages of Lunch Box Letters provide a guide and sample letters to help parents communicate with their children, "even grown children." The idea is simple, yet most of us do not think to add a quick "I love you" note that will be discovered later in the day, much to the delight of the recipient.
As the book says, "Written notes provide a complement to all the hugs and kisses your provide."
The next 75 pages are colorful papers with headers and graphics for writing the notes. These can be tucked inside a lunch box, briefcase, purse, or whatever. There are several birthday, Halloween, and Valentine pages for multiple recipients. As you tear out the pages the book will begin falling apart, but the confidence of the ones who get the notes will grow.
For the information, ideas, and colorful papers, this is well worth the cost. Who knows, it might just make your day as well. Five stars.
....
Precious and Inspiring!.......2001-04-01
What a wonderful idea! We are always rushing around in the morning and sometimes I never have the chance to say anything "meaningful" to my girls before they start their day. I purchased Lunch Box Letters at a school book fair and have been using them faithfully everyday.
In the preface the authors share why they write to their children, and they include sample letters, special hints and lots of colorful notepaper to give your creative juices a jolt. Each sheet has a headline at the top ("I'm Sorry", "Almost The Weekend", "Let's Have Fun", "Happy Birthday", "You're A Terrific Kid", "Miss You", etc.) and ample space for you to leave your own message. A fun riddle is also included at the bottom. There are also some blank lined sheets in the back of the book.
I was also pleased to read the number of ways the authors suggest you use letter writing to communicate with your children. A small handwritten note can really give kids a much needed emotional lift and ease pressures at school. They even include sample letters for specific (and delicate) situations such as dealing with a personal loss.
I definitely think this book is worth a buy. The advice and ideas you glean from the authors alone is worth the price, as is the gentle prompt it gives you to set a great example for your kids.
Enjoy.
Cris
Thank You So Much!.......2000-09-21
A friend of mine gave me a copy of this book for my birthday. I read the book and found it very touching, It inspired me to try writing lunch letters to my children. Well let me tell you, it's amazing..I feel that the kids and I have developed a new communication skill overnight. I highly recommend this book........It's FANTASTIC!
An Idea That Really Works.......2000-09-07
I bought this book to try out it's ideas with my 10 year old daughter. What a great book. It really brought us closer really quickly. I was able to write things down in the lunch box letters that I found hard to talk about...once they were writin we both found it much easier to talk about.
Great book!
Lunch Box Letters.......2000-08-16
What a lovely idea for a book! At first glance, it's a sweet idea, offering tear-out pages with riddles and jokes, etc. for parents to use for writing sweet notes to their children. Closer inspection reveals a depth of feeling by the authors as each tells a personal story about the letters each has written to his/her child. I got misty-eyed as I read their stories, and immediately tore out one of the fun pages and wrote a note to my own little one!
My daughter especially loves getting emails from whichever parent isn't with her at the time. I'm going to share this book with her dad, who sometimes finds it hard to put his feelings into words.
