Great Book........2007-08-21
Taylor's erudition and vast experience in unpacking dream landscapes is without question. By my reckoning Taylor stands alongside of Freud and other seminal thinkers in the analytical psychological tradition for providing a map to journey on the serpentine and difficult quest to interpret dreams. If depth psychology holds your interest, this book is a good place to begin. And Taylor a guide worth reading. As the author notes, "dreams come at the service of health and wholeness." If this is your aim, you will find a wise guide to access the depths and richness found in the language of Dreams.
Dream Group Leadership.......2006-11-10
Jeremy Taylor's use of personal experiences to illustrate his points is very effective and adds interest to the book. The clear outline of his beliefs is expressed very well and reiterated throughout.
This is a wonderful guide for anyone interested in starting and facilitatingdream groups and otherwise being involved with projective group dreamwork.
Transformational work.......2002-08-16
This book is the essential guide to dreamwork. Taylor guides you with a loving hand through the labyrinths and mysteries of our dream worlds. And he brings us a joyous message: all dreams come in the service of health and wholeness"!
The method works; book ties together dozens of ideas.......2001-07-24
Having read the book with care, and having experienced the author live, I can and will testify that, for the group in which I participated, the processs works, and the book fairly represents the process. All dreams that can be remembered ultimately do seem "to come in the service of health and wholeness." Taylor-style Dreamwork combines a form of intimacy with respectful distance, because only by looking deep within "as if it were my dream" can a group member have anything to say about someone else's dream. So, each dream belongs to each member of the group -- in individual versions. This process is illustrated, with huge quantities of theoretical material tantalizingly presented. Quoting Taylor again, "I am a fanatic because I am convinced from 30 years experience. Don't take my word for it. I am the circus barker outside the tent, touting the wonders of 'Jo-Jo the Dog Faced Boy.' Come inside the tent and see for yourself." I agree. The book conveys more of the flavor of the live experience than one would think possible.
An excellent guide for beginning dreamwork.......2000-02-03
From Joan Mazza, author of DREAMING YOUR REAL SELF: A PERSONAL APPROACH TO DREAM INTERPRETATION; DREAM BACK YOUR LIFE; FROM DREAMS TO SELF-DISCOVERY, and WHO'S CRAZY, ANYWAY?
Jeremy Taylor's work helped to shape and influence my style and understanding as a dreamworker. This is one of the finest and most inspirational books on dreaming, sensitively written and without dogma. His description of doing dreamwork with prisoners was especially moving.

Sacrilegious and stupid.......2004-05-27
This book combines the worst of self help books for losers, fawning CEO worship and dim-witted management guides and adds a generous dollop of ignorant sacrilege to boot. Folks, Jesus is not a CEO and CEOs are not Jesus.
According to Christian doctrine, Jesus was also not a wise man, or a philosopher, contrary to what heretics like GW Bush and Muslims like Osama bin Laden believe. Real Christians believe Jesus was God.
In the early days of Christianity, people had their tongues cut out or were forced to drink molten lead for spouting the kinds of heresies you'll see in this book. Not very nice, I admit, but at least it kept the faith alive. A few more books like this and Jesus will be making guest appearances on reality TV shows with other washed up celebs before diappearing forever from human memory.
Helped me realize what my goal is.......2003-04-28
I bought this book for a school project and I couldn't put it down. It's so easy to read. As a high school senior trying to decide what to do for the rest of my life this book really helped me put things in order. It helped me see that "Jesus' definition of success was 'to do the will of God.'" I loved the examples within the chapters of how people had applied these tips to their life. The questions at the end of each chapter were good but didn't really apply to me or help me. Overall I would definitely reccomend this book to people. Especially if you are struggling to find a job that suits you. This book really helps you put your values into persepective and realize that you will be the most successful if you pursue that job that makes you happiest and brings you closest to God.
A Book for the Economist with a Soul.......2003-04-28
Jesus Entrepreneur by Laurie Beth Jones is a book for economists with a soul. The type of economist who is entirely concerned with pluses and minuses has become abundant in today's society. Along with their increase in number, books for their appeal have also increased. This has persisted to the point where many economic books say nearly the same things. That is why this book by Jones is a breath of fresh air for the tight-collared, worldly business man or woman. It is not only for Christians.
The morals discussed in Jesus Entrepreneur can be accepted across the world. Some, if not all, are Christian morals, but not too extreme to where the normal human being couldn't accept them. The main objective of this book is to bring moral reckoning to a job that can lure its workers away from such ethics. The economy was always thought of as being concrete, black and white - no room for ethical standards. Jones has made room, and shows us how to work within physical, and spiritual boundaries.
This book is helpful to all types of economists, Christian or non-Christian, as long as they like being successful (like I said, all economists). Also, one need not be an economist to enjoy this optimistic book which gives light to a profession that may need it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in becoming successful in spirit and in their profession.
Beyond a Business Book.......2002-08-09
I bought this book for business purposes, yet found it changing my personal life too. This book speaks directly to your heart! I have discovered ways to be a better business owner, wife, family member, friend, etc. The wisdom and life-experiences packed in this book make it hard to put down. Not only is it hard to put down, but I want to read it over and over again to make sure the principles are being implanted in my mind and spirit. Laurie is an earthy writer who doesn't try to please everyone or play the politically-correct game. She tells it like it is! And she fully understands that no other man but Jesus has changed so many lives and is still doing so today!
Ancient Wisdom For Today's Entrepreneur.......2002-07-26
There's a new breed of entrepreneur emerging in the business world. One who is interested in promoting their deepest personal and spiritual beliefs, as well as their products and services. They are the ones who launch a business that not only showcases their talents, but also benefits others. Laurie Beth Jones, the best-selling author of Jesus CEO, calls this new breed of leaders "Spiritreneurs", and has dedicated this book to keeping their dreams alive.
The ultimate role model for the Spiritreneur is Jesus Christ, whose leadership style as told in the Bible, incorporated His talents, gifts, and His desire to do well by doing right. According to the author, you are a "Spiritreneur" when you are committed to establishing a business that is a true reflection of your spiritual and personal beliefs. In the coaching profession we call this `authenticity", that which is a true reflection of oneself. Using Christ as the focal point, we learn how to become real Spiritreneurs. What did He do that made Him the most successful entrepreneur and leader in the world? A few important facets of His life are covered int his book:
He heeded the call to Spiritreneurship,
During the early days He established His identity
He was a Visionary
Laurie Beth Jones takes each of these qualities and expounds upon them with relevant Biblical facts that pertain to today's entrepreneur. I came away from this reading experience with a deeper appreciation of the legacy Christ has left for us to follow. His life was the ultimate model of leadership, and of someone who launched, and lived His dream.
5 Stars. Highly recommended

Make a Wish, Any Wish!
Engaging, innovative, and fresh, Gahl Sasson's approach to Kabbalah -- the ancient teachings of Jewish mysticism -- integrates mythology, scholarship, and practical exercises for seekers of both material and spiritual gratification. Based on his popular Tree of Life workshops, which incorporate meditation, dreams, and real-life synchronicities with myths, rituals, and philosophies from around the world, A Wish Can Change Your Life provides a universal path to finding and embracing all of life's riches. It teaches readers of every faith and religious background how to use the energies of the Tree of Life -- the blueprint for the creation of the universe -- to fulfill any wish, whether it is for material gain (a new car, a higher salary), personal improvement and pleasure (weight loss, a better job, more intimacy with a partner), or a life-changing message from God.
Customer Reviews:
This book is amazing and easy to use.......2006-02-17
I have been teaching creative expression and manifestation classes and this book really brings the concepts to reality. Most Kabbalah books are hard to understand and complicated. This one is not! The book is a magical journey and should not be done alone. The miracles are so profound you will want someone doing it with you to share your discoveries. The story telling is wonderful and the activities are clear and insightful. I have read this book 5 times or more and I see something new each time. I was so inspired, started teaching workshops around this topic just to say in community and keep the energy going around wishes and dreams fulfilled. Get a copy for yourself and get a copy for a friend, you will love this book.

I love this book.......2004-07-16
I actually tested this and it works. The book is very easy to read and follow. I tested one wish and it's amazing how the Universe responded to my wish by giving me signs of synchronicities. I really believe we must not ignore those omens if they keep occurring. LIfe wants us to achieve our dreams and wishes and if we really want something, the universe will respond and give it more power if it's made of love, appreciation and gratitude. I am grateful that I found this book. :)
A very interesting experience.......2004-03-21
Gahl Sasson is a very wise man mixing the Kabbalah knowledge and myths into an interesting and important blend that made my own dreams come true. This book is most recommended for all people looking for improving their life.

THis is my standard purchase for a college graduation gift. It starts about dreams as a young child and continues on through life. As a child educator, and child care professional...the "young adults" always get a kick out of receiving a childrens book with an appropriate message for adults.

Customer Reviews:
Great night time book!.......2005-11-29
This is very nice bed time reading that makes you want to stay awake and read on to the next entry. I love the different angles for each Torah portion which gives the feeling of a very good Torah discussion. All the insightful commentary in this book brings out the beauty of the Torah. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about Judaism and anyone who wants add more insight to their weekly Torah study.
I don't ordinarily comment on what another reader says, but..........2005-11-19
I was stunned by Mr. Hinkle's criticism that this book is "Judeacentric." Well, a Rabbi writing about a book that is central to our religion - what did he expect? If he wants a balanced viewpoint, he should read a comparable book by an academic scholar of religion. I would never dream of criticizing a Christian scholar for writing from a Christian standpoint, a Buddhist writing from a Buddhist standpoint, etc. Allow we Jews the same courtesy, Mr. Hinkle.
Insights into contemporary Jewish theology.......2003-05-25
As a Christian, the Old Testament, including the Torah, is part of my heritage. I purchased this book to glean more interpretive insights into these pivotal five books from someone who did not interpret them through the lens of Christianity, but from a pure Jewish perspective, in order to broaden my horizons. While gleaning much of worth, the book is so Judeaocentric that I felt more like an eavesdropper than an engaged reader. I found it interesting that Christians haven't cornered the market on guilt-mongering, because there is plenty of that here, directed toward the more religiously lax Jews. Until an enterprising rabbi can write an exposition on the Torah for a general (not just Jewish) readership, this book will have to fit the bill.
Good book.......2003-03-31
I liked the way this book made me realize my potential. I also recommend a book called Dreams: Gateway to the True Self.
Interpretation of Torah suggests a just, loving God.......2002-08-10
This a wonderful book with insightful Torah commentaries focusing on Jewish personal values like love, family, helpfulness, and so forth. This book can be a powerful introduction to Judaism, or a powerful introduction to a personal, loving side of Judaism that is sometimes overlooked in favor of community values. The book starts with an introduction that explains the centrality of Torah in Judaism and how to read Torah when the stories seem crude or unjust. The rabbi inteprets Torah while assuming a just, loving God. The bulk of the book is made up of commentaries. There are three commentaries for each section of the Torah. Each section of the Torah is also paraphrased, so if you have never read the Torah, this is an easy way to get the general idea. But it's the three commentaries for each of the Torah sections that are the best part. The rabbi's commentaries mix basic good human judgment with an open heart, bouncing the mixture off the Torah. He interprets Judaism in a sensible, loving light. Are Jews a "chosen people"? Yes, he says, chosen to live a responsible life in concert with the values of Torah, not chosen to view ourselves as better than others. He asks, what are we to make of these long lists of names in the Torah? He suggests lists of names are created for a reason, because the names were important to an event or people. He suggests we get ourselves on other people's lists in our own lives, by helping our communities, friends and family.
Book Description
"All Journeys Are Sacred" Journey with Louise StrongBear into shamanic realms of healing. Meet her teachers as she wanders through middle earth, the lower world, and the upper world, following the path of her heart. Begin in the East, and circle the Medicine Wheel to the North, finding yourself along the way. This is a heroine's journey, correlating with the journey of the fool in the major arcana of the tarot. It is also a story of finding lost soul parts, and finding your way back to your home in the stars. It is about magic, miracles, power animals, angels, witchcraft, shamanism, and shapeshifting. This is Louise's story, the one she knows by heart. And it is your story, too-the one that you forgot. "Remember You Are Magic"

After recieving a reading from Louise I've read her book intensily. It is truly amazing and takes you away into her world with her. She shares this journey with the world and I am honored to have been part of her journey. This book is a must read for all, whether you believe or not. Louise has a true heavenly gift from the gods. I would recommend this book and any in the future as well as her readings and conversations. This book will open your eyes and change your life for the better. Jump in the adventure and enjoy the senses. Thank you Louise for everything, you are a true inspiration to me and I love you for it.

Beautiful.......2007-04-01
I found this book to be a very moving experience. I enjoyed every page of the journey. I've told all my friends about it. Thank you Ms. Strongbear for sharing with us all.
Enchanting & Engaging.......2007-03-16
I found myself traveling along in the enchanted world. Knowing how close you can be to the spirit world in your dreams is a wonderment. I know there are answers in your dreams if you just look and pay attention. Thank you Louise for guiding me through. This is a book everyone should read. Buy two and give one to a friend.
Spellbound.......2007-03-13
Unlike most reviewers, I COULD put Journey by Night down - as when you
are spellbound by a beautiful dream - and you don't want it to end....
My journey through this book took me to a completely new place. I read
and reread lines, passages, poems and chapters. As with anything practiced, it got easier...
to capture a glimpse of what can be possible
on ones own personal journey.
I evolved from an onlooker in that solitary night, to a seeker.
This book and its wisdom will be my bedside companion.
Let us hope there will be many more to come.
I would give this 10 stars if I could!!!!.......2007-03-06
You would have thought Ms. StrongBear wrote books for years. Journey by Night was very inspirational. This is one to remember...come and be a Wayfarer, as Wolf states: "Wayfarer is one who travels by foot, one step at a time. This is a way of learning. Human steps." If you feel lost and alone in the world, travel with StrongBear and meet her animated characters. Once you meet "Jimmy the Leprechaun" and feel his comedic charm, (as he tickles you and himself) but his passionate soul will let you know how similar we are with other living creatures. If you are not satisfied with his cleverness, stroll down the page and take a whimsical retreat into Pegasus world. His world is not filled with long-term suffering and illness; the aura is pleasant--letting you know that the grass is greener on the other side. After reading this book it will answer your question and have you asking questions...you would want to learn more about magic!
I would like to thank you Louise StrongBear for opening up my thinking to a whole new world. I am inspired and I believe you are a healer with the ability to capture your reader. Capturing your reader to make them believe they were there with you while in fear, afraid; but yet, having the courage to find out who you are. Hesitant but eager to connect to helpful strangers; with the question--"Haven't we met before?" Questioning should you give up, but kept your feet planted on the ground as you trotted to your destiny.
Thank you once more for bringing your iridescence as you journey by night. The stars and moon are shining bright for you. Thanks for creating an uplifting story.

This Book IS Nearly 400 Pages and is a True Wealth Of Information, One NOT to be passed up.
Definitely a keeper!.......2005-08-31
This is by far one of the best books on the topic of animal magic I've read. I wouldn't call it "definitive," as far as the connotations of "ultimate" go, but it is exceptionally thorough.
Basically what it is, is an incredibly detailed animal totem dictionary. There's no spellwork, no instruction--it is purely referential. Which is fine. Palmer is very good at what she does. She starts with physical characteristics and environmental factors of the species, then discusses world lore and mythos surrounding it. Next she goe into more neopagan magical correspondences, and finally a paragraph or two of her obsrvances of people associated totemically with that animal. All in all, very thorough.
It's not without its flaws; occasionally she gets a fact wrong or goes out a little too far on a limb for my taste to prove a point about the animal's inherent magical qualities. And the discussions of the people involved are just too limiting. And I don't recommend reading it cover to cover; after a while the format does get a little tedious, though her writing style is excellent.
Still, overall this is a high-quality piece of work that any worker of animal magic should own. It's a superior reference when researching totems, and a definite change of pace from the same old stuff. Good job!
Well Done.......2002-10-06
Jessica has shown outstanding research primarily in so far as Native American beliefs are concerned. One can always pick at the entire world of animals...her goal is to emphasize Native American culture. She is descended from the Woodland Sioux and her emphasis is on the beliefs of Native Americans. Anyone who appreciates the place of animals in our world should read and enjoy
Good but needed work.......2002-05-25
Okay I thought that this book was rather good but I couldn't help but wince at some of her obvious errors. For instance she says the horse is femine and is only linked to goddess's the one main thing she forgets to mention is the Norse believed in an eight legged horse called Sliepnar and by all reports Sliepnar was masculine and could travel through the planes with Odin among others Odin allowed to use the horse. I don't know if she just chose to ignore this in regard to her stubborn persistance that the horse had to be female or what.
Another missjudgement is when she tried to say that the stag wasn't put in any mythologys and only the female deer were. This is totaly incorrect and I meen BIG time. For one Freyr in Norse mythology was symbolized by the stag but she fails to mention this for some unknown reason. Another thing she forgot to bring up was the fact that stag was the symbal of the hunt even more so than even the deer. Hmmm, more research?
Yet another animal she somewhat screws up on in many ways is the snake. First of Nidhogg was not a snake but a dragon, their is a difference you know Jessica, maybe you should look it up sometime. Also if Nidhogg escaped the world would end? Funny I never found any mention of that, is this perhaps from a source I myself have yet read? I thought this would be Fenris, Nidhogg is after all the last one to survive... The snake is also a symbol of Odin you know since he did shapechange into one. I found myself increasingly frusterated at how she would totaly connect the snake with femine when from all accounts this varied according to the mythos.
I liked this book but I think it could have done better overall all. She really needed to study the Norse before she put their mythos in. This book is useful for animal magick but I felt as I read it that it would be best to use it in conjection with other books on the subject, such as 'Animal Spirit' which went in more details in some areas.
A fine read for those wanting to learn about what each animal represents and their powers but not the greatest source by any meens, nor the most accurate.

Three profound texts with helpful commentaries.......2000-03-23
This book consists of a series of teachings on several topics by the highly respected Tibetan lama Gyatrul Rinpoche, skillfully translated by B. Alan Wallace and Sangye Khandro. It's divided into three parts, titled "Transformation," "Dream Yoga" and "Meditation," and each of these three parts consists of a "root text" by a renowned Tibetan author and a commentary by Gyatrul Rinpoche. The first root text is a wonderful "lojong" (mind training) text called "Transforming Felicity and Adversity into the Spiritual Path," by Jigme Tenpe Nyima. The second is a dream yoga text called "Releasing Oneself from Essential Delusion," by Lochen Dharma Shri, and the third is a Dzogchen text called "The Illumination of Primordial Wisdom," by H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche. Taken together, these three texts and their lucid and practical commentaries give a very complete introduction to the essential teachings of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and will be a great treasure for anyone interest in practicing these profound methods.
a great book !.......1999-08-04

Truly wisdom from the heart.......2005-11-06
This is a amazing book. I feel one can tell this author wrote this book from her heart. It reaches through to our own inner wisdom that comes from the heart in the form of our Self (Jungian's term for the unconscious). I appreciate all that she wrote. Her written wisdom has moved me to tears, as well as to write this review. Having read many dream books, I can say I have enjoyed reading a dream book based on women's dreams. Her thoughts on women's dreams reached into my own deep inner wisdom to reveal that 'aha', experience. I highly recommend this book not only for its in depth look into dreams but its revelation and appreciation of women's struggle in a predominately patriarchial society.
A Beautiful Balance of Intellectual and Intuitive Wisdom.......2000-01-12
This book was not what I expected, and I'm glad. I was looking for something simple to help me figure out a dream I had, and I was prepared to put up with some flakiness. In this book, I found neither simplicity nor flakiness. In addition, although the author has a sound intellectual background as a psychologist and Jungian analyst, she applies her knowledge in a way that honors the dark, wordless voice of intuition at the same time.
I am a beginning student of clinical psychology and find that often psychological theories can be used like statistics--you can twist them to say whatever you want or intellectually hone in on one aspect of yourself or others in order to avoid another (at least I do this when looking at myself). This book awakened me to that tendency and allowed me to look gently but honestly at my own shadow and hidden strengths.
Finally, I greatly appreciated the way Dr. Signell validates "women's" ways of understanding without devaluing men or portraying women as their victims. Using dreams as a starting point, she shows how both women and men project onto each other and have unacknowledged expectations of each other. For example, while modern women have made great strides in being independent and working towards gender equality, many of us still contain rather large seeds of the puella eterna, the eternal girl who expects deference and chivalry from men. We may long for the chivalry, but if we get it we rebel, feeling we are being treated as a child or a helpless kitten and then have endless discussions with friends about how hopeless men are. Dr. Signell helps women find "the rat" in our own psyches in a way that is not judgemental or blaming. She suggests that women can improve their relationships by understanding and accepting themselves, but she does this without the usual insinuation that women can singlehandedly make a relationship work.
At times I found my dreams and the material in this book to be inspirational and at times sobering. I recommend reading and dreaming slowly so you can let the inspiration grow and integrate the sobering stuff gently, without being overwhelmed and and running away.
Thank you Dr. Signell. I hope you write another one soon!
Empowerment for women & the Feminine through womens' dreams........1999-08-19
I loved this book. It calls women back to owning their power, to being their own authority, and to living their life on their terms. It calls women to trust themselves and their feelings. It validates womens' feelings and truths. This is the only dream book I've read that puts importance on the dreamer's feelings about the dream and the dream symbols, not just symbol interpretation (of which the author has an excellent knowledge). It has many examples of womens' dreams that the author walks through which helps one learn the art of dream interpretation. Many of the womens' dreams spoke to me personally. I found the archetypal symbols in the dreams powerful and exciting and they bring to light the connection of all women. The Feminine has been ignored and distorted and devalued for so long - so much of it has been buried and forgotten, but clearly never gone as evidenced in these dreams. Bringing the truth of women and the Feminine back into the light is best accomplished through the sources who know best - women. Our dreams are an excellent guide in this.

The Mother-Daughter Dance.......2004-03-31
Mother-Daughter Dance
Jayne Jaudon Ferrer possesses an unmatchable wit and precision of language which shine through in her latest collection of poems, Dancing with My Daughter: Poems of Love, Wisdom and Dreams. Breaking down the stages of her daughter's development from infancy to adulthood, each phase is represented by a dance: Waltz, Jitterbug, Tango, Samba, and Freestyle.
In the first section, Waltz, she shows a warmth and willingness to raise her daughter with dream-like wonder. Toddlerhood emerges in Jitterbug, and the dreams are less surreal. She tackles reality head on, for instance, in the poem "Mother Magic," which speaks to the heart of motherhood. Ferrer describes her daughter's foul mood as she awakens from her nap. With great triumph, she pulls her daughter out of her "royal huff." All the while, she acknowledges her own mother strength. Her daughter, the "Royal Highness" breaks out of her mood, declaring her ability to break the magic spell "because I am a Princess and I can do anything!" Ferrer looks on and replies inwardly, "Well, well. I am a mother, and I can, too."
Tango and Samba are both heart-breaking and witty. We know our daughters will say they hate us, but we dread the day it arrives. Ferrer removes the chrage of her daughter's emotions with supreme love and banter. Pressing her daughter clean her room, Ferrer treats this common issue with such grace and fun: "fill your ears with the mighty music of the vacuum cleaner, your lungs with the derelict dust of this dreadful domain." The reader can virtually smell the odiferous wet towel seeping mildew into the carpet.
Freestyle witnesses a mother's mixed emotions of letting go and wanting to hold on tight forever. The wisdom she imparts to her daughter as she prepares her wedding is telling of her love and affection. Ferrer's desire to give her daughter the world is palpable throughout the collection. She manages not only to offer up a "place you call Home" for her daughter, but a poetic respite for her readers, too.
The cadance of her poetry resembles a dance. Sometimes it is a Western swing, other times a true waltz. Harmony and discord meet in her lines. Mothers and daughters clash, cry, yell, and console each other through life's passions. Dancing with My Daughter is a wonderful companion for any mother or daughter who dreams big dreams, lives life with passion, and seeks the very best that this world has to offer.

I do not usually read poetry. This book was incredible. Each poem hit the mark. The words just flowed. Jayner Ferrer is exceptionally intuitive and a joy to read. I bought this book for my mother and sisters.
A lively dance with a poet.......2004-03-08
Jayne Jaudon Ferrer is one of those unpretentious poets that zing words straight to the heart. Her poems are very much aimed at the moment, but their lines will linger far beyond the grade school years of our children.
Cleverly arranged in chapters named for dances and dance styles, her newest book plays on the rhythmical interaction between mothers and children. A favorite, "Table Talk," sets up the poem like a multiple choice test, beginning with "Dear Daughter," and offering options in lines like "a)you are not talking to me this week,"/b)there is a telephone in one ear and an earphone in the other..." Most parents on reading lines like that experience an immediate, "I've been there, done that."
Another poem, "Send-off," sets up a premise all parents understand. "I have only two requests:/come home without holes/in your body/(beyond those given you by God),/and keep in mind/that old saying about/nice girls/and newspaper headlines..."
Sprinkled with humor and homily, Dancing with my Daughter can offer pleasure to a parent in a moment of solitude, and double pleasure when read aloud with children. Jayne Jaudon Ferrer's words spill from the pages in the present, but their wisdom will be handed to generation after generation, for such is the nature of poetry inspired by, and understood by, a mother's love.--Kay Day, author, A Poetry Break
