Cute book! .......2007-09-11
My 16 month old twins LOVE this book!! It's definitly their favorite. They have the whole thing memorized and love to sing it even without the book! They also have "ten little fingers" and it's great too.
Loved it!.......2007-03-08
My 15 month old daughter loved the song "Row,Row,Row Your Boat" and so I thought I would get a book with the same title. I was delightfully surprised at the creative additional verses. It is now my daughters' favorite book!!
Great book!.......2007-02-07
Excellent book for toddlers. My 13 month old daughter loves to read this book. The illustrations are fun and nicely done. It is a classic and a great addition to her collection of books.
Definitely a favorite.......2007-01-19
As much as I did not like the extra made up verses in "If you're Happy", I love the extra verses in this book. My daughter's favorite.
Can't read this one often enough.......2007-01-15
My grandson (19 months) absolutely crows when he sees this one in Grammy's bag of books when I visit! He immediately brings it to me, plops himself into my lab and demands, "Row row!" This has been going on for at least 3 or 4 months and he shows no indication of becoming tired of it. Annie Kubler has really identified what babies love!
Book Description
Row, Row, Row Your Boat is based on the idea that there is an underlying current in your life--a divine flow--that is continually guiding you toward the effortless fulfillment of your heart's desires. The trick is learning how to recognize and cooperate with that flow. And that's what this book will teach you how to do. In a refreshingly clear and memorable manner, you will find out how to stop blocking the experience of the divine flow in your life . . . and you will learn what you must do to experience the flow's miracles more freely and more frequently. In short, you will learn how to stop struggling with life and start living life as it is meant to be lived--effortlessly and joyfully!

Apples and Oranges.......2007-09-05
I agree with one of the reviewers below that this book is inspiring. I also agree that its message is similar to the message found in the Abraham-Hicks material. However, unlike the reviewer below, I give this book a 5-star rating rather than a lesser one. Why? Because this book was clearly written for a different audience . . . for people like me who are comfortable with the idea of "God," and don't need that word replaced by the term "Source Energy." Also, if you look in the author's notes for this book, it appears that Mr. Taylor has been using the "go with the flow" metaphor to teach these principles since the mid-nineties - long before Abraham-Hicks began to use that description. To me, the works of Abraham-Hicks and Steven Lane Taylor are like comparing apples and oranges. I think they are BOTH delicious . . . and I greatly appreciate them BOTH!
The Real Secret .......2007-09-02
Although I found this book to be inspiring, the concept of "going with the flow" is an essential concept of the Abraham-Hicks teachings. It's about keeping up with the expanded version of you. This expanded version or Source Energy is calling you toward what you have created.
The real secret is that we are Source energy (GOD) in a physical body.
To fully understand this profound concept, I highly recommend the teachings of Esther Hicks, channeling Abraham. they were in the original version of "The Secret", but the producers cut them out, thinking the public wasn't ready to hear this information. And isn't that interesting, the film states that Law of Attraction had been kept from the public over the centuries, and they're doing the very same thing. Trying to say that Law of Attraction is a secret, is like saying The Law of Gravity is a secret.
Simple, yet profound .......2007-08-22
Life doesn't have to be so complicated and success--however we define it--is closer than we think. Steven Lane Taylor reminds us what we know deep down to be true and shows us how to live it every day. I especially appreciate his messages about paying attention to what's going on around us and within us, letting go of the illusion of control and trusting that the universe will provide for our highest good. This is a book I will read again and again, and share it with my children.
Uncanny In Its Simplicity.......2007-07-09
I put this book on my very short list of favorite spiritual books that I feel are the cream of the crop. I hold this book in such high esteem because it is simple and direct, easy to apply, but most importantly the content is significant. What the Author is trying to show you is how to have living faith. Living faith separates the believers from the feelers. You can believe in something with all the strength of your mind, but it will never become real to you until you feel it. I have had a very hard time in my life following my heart, or should I say, feeling the spirit within me.
We can feel the spirit as something real, guiding us in everything we do in life, answering our prayers, and providing peace and comfort. What I am striving to do is feel my living spirit inside me. I need proof. I have never been able to find it in the expectations of my plans. Instead I find it within the ways life shows me all the times I have repeatedly refused to let go.
There is a quote from the Urantia Book that describes what is being done with Steven Lane Taylor's book. "Blind and unforeseen accidents do not occur in the cosmos. Neither do the celestial beings assist the lower being who refuses to act upon his light of truth". Row Row Row Your Boat will help you see that you are being assisted so that you can take action to add fulfillment to your life. I want to also add that I think that the simplicity of the presentation along with the quality of the content of this book is nothing short of sublime.
A Handy Little Pick-me-up!.......2007-05-12
"Row, Row, Row Your Boat" is wonderful inspiration for a down day. The concept isn't new - that's the point. However, Steven Lane Taylor puts it into an easy to digest, enjoyable form. He lets the reader see his human failings, so he doesn't come off as a guru preaching about some secret only he knows. It's a book I'll tuck away, so I can re-read it when I feel I'm swimming upstream. All this without hype. Now, that's a treat!Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories

Book Description
"Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream..." The popular song beloved by generations of families with young children is now an exciting adventure story. As two children row their boat downstream, it stops at a magical island, where they meet up with some monkeys, elephants, and--yikes-- a lion. Now it's time to run as fast as they can back to the safety of their boat, before the lion catches up with them! Preschoolers will delight in discovering a favorite verse on the printed page, and it's been shown that seeing and singing the words of a familiar song can help children with early stages of reading readiness. The addition of inventive verses, beautiful art, and a visual storyline breathe new life into an old standard. "Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream."

child loves books.......2007-05-08
More kudos for the librarian at storytime! She introduces us to such great books that we usually come home and order them. Who knew there were additional verses to Row, Row, Row your boat. The artwork is beautiful. My son loves the catchy song, giggles at the animals, and constantly requests this book. I only wish it came in a board book. We keep it along with our other favorite paper books on the shelf. Other Favorites: It Looked Like Spilt Milk, The Baby Goes Beep.
Five stars from a 23 month old.......2006-07-07
We don't own this - yet - but my daughter ADORES it (we've borrowed it at least three times from the library). Just tonight she was rooting through all her books mumbling "Woe-woe..woe-woe..." so I knew it was time to look to buy a copy! Between being able to sing it and the colorful illustrations, it is a toddler hit.
What Happens Next?.......2002-03-27
Everybody knows the song, "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", but what happens after the boat leaves the stream? In this short little tale two children set out in the boat to open sea, landing on an island filled with exotic creatures. The book is filled with very warm illustrations and the book inspires inspiration and creativity in children, challenging them to imagine and think for themselves.
keep rowing.......2000-05-10
This is a wonderful book based of the well known children's tune row, row, row, your boat. Each page is delightfully illustrated and has a verse which adapts to the original tune. Two young children explore both the fun and the fantasy of a magical boat ride encountering elephants, monkeys and a lion. The journey home (to the original verse) leaves the young children questioning was this reality or a dream. Its a fun way to read with your children while encouraging imagination and creative thinking!

Customer Reviews:
ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT!.......2003-09-06
Finis J. Dake was a leader in my opinion on the subject of eschatology or end-time teaching. Brother Dake never focused on current events like a lot of these modern end-time teachers do. This book is scriptural and sane in it's approach to the subject. Brother Dake makes this subject simple in this book. With all the confusion that teachers of this subject give to us, we finally have material that is a sane, rational and understandable approach to the subject. This book should forever disprove all the falacies out there on the subject. I also highly recommend his books "Revelation Expounded", and "God's Plan For Man". Both of these books have a lot of good information in them concerning end-time events!
Don't settle for only the Dake Study Bible!.......2002-04-16
Some people purchase a Dake Study bible yet never take the time to read his other books. The Dake Study bible is a good start of course but you shoudn't ignore his secondary work which could be considered scripture in it's own right. These writings are still deuterocanonical work and (like Bono) should be read and studied with full exegetical commitment.
This book, along with a Dake Study Bible and U2's Under a Blood Red Sky should be on you must read/listen list. I'd suggest that all of them become part of your spiritual/religous library within the first few months of studying dake-bonoist principles.
THE Book on Pre-Trib Rapture.......1999-04-12
Dake spells it all out in black and white: here's a statement, and here's all the Bible verses to back it up.
For every topic he gives proofs galore. There's also several sections of "Fallacies" where he BIBLICY disproves many "assumed" beliefs.
If you need factual encouragement of your Pre-Trib beliefs or would like in-context proofs of why this is the way things will occur, I'd heavily recommend this book.

Behind Every "Good Military Man" There Stands "A Great Woman"!.......2006-10-28
Did you ever wonder what life would be like for the admiral's wife and family, or for all officers for that matter? "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" is an insider's look at that world and the author happens to be the admiral's wife. Patricia Linder uses her wonderful writing skill and style much like a great novelist to paint in words and emotions that picture for us of what life is like for a naval officer's spouse. Her memoirs run from the late 1940's through the time her husband retires after having fought in three wars and 37 years of service.
Patricia lets us feel what she went through waiting for her husband while he was flying missions in Korea and over North Vietnam over a decade later. She allows us to follow her emotionally as she tries to raise her children alone and to be a good supportive military wife. It is a tale of great personal sacrifices and trials but one she took on like a good soldier without too many major complaints.
The author endures moves across country, the uprooting of her children from schools and having to face many things all alone without her husband's help or support. She is a trooper for sure and she gets nothing but my fullest respect. The telling of her story unfolds like a love story even though she does not gush over and make that issue obvious in her story telling. It is in the background of what she writes and you can feel and sense it in their relationship.
This is a book that all family members could read. It is a well written accounting of her life as a supportive military spouse and after reading her story you will understand that was no small act to pull off. I recommend this book to all military families to read. There is much wisdom gleamed from decades of military experience and living.
I give this book the MWSA's HIGHEST BOOK RATING - FIVE STARS!
Row Row Row Your Boat 140336754X.......2003-08-21
Row, Row, Row Your Boat is one of the most entertaining and insightful books I've read about life in the military. Ms. Linder has enjoyed and endured with great good humor. From personal experience, I can attest to her description of "The Life." This book should be required reading for any beginning military wife, well perhaps any wife. She makes dancing around the world schlepping her enormous bag sound like the only way to travel. Her grasp of political situations is "spot on" as is her ability to handle the resultant unrest with iron irony. She has allowed me to remember all the good things and some of the less than good things about life in the military. I hope she will continue to write and enjoy life to the fullest. Thanks for the memories.

Don't miss it!.......2003-08-16
Rear Admiral James B. Linder's brilliant career spanned thirty-six years. By his side, stood his wife Pat, who handled the demands and challenges of their Navy life with great aplomb. As the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the threat of a Chinese Communist invasion of Taipei unfolded, these events reshaped and changed the direction of their lives. Admiral Linder's career moved forward at a steady pace. While he was stationed far away from home, Pat's ever-present sense of humor, and her unique determination to make any situation an even better one, gave the Admiral permission to "carry on" without unnecessary concern for his family's well being. Her honest and humorous highlights of their long Naval experience bring laughter and tears. Her efforts to "row, row, row," whether in an attempt to reach her husband in spirit to support him in his endeavors,or to actually stand beside him to offer her support, were accomplished "without making waves," a no-no for Navy wives. This was a small miracle in itself.
The author is an extraordinary woman who penned a beautiful blueprint of Navy life - possibly a "Navy Wife 101." She lived it; she loved it. Pat's wit and wisdom are evident on every page. It is a book to be enjoyed by all, young and old. It is a book that is not bogged down by unending, detailed descriptive passages, but one that is filled with honest accounts of a career and a marriage that endured happily for many years. Pat, please do not let this be your last book!
A WINNER FOR ALL.......2003-08-11
I really enjoyed this book. Having been a military wife and now involved in education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, it felt both familiar and new. Ms. Linder has had an exciting life and knows how to bring us into it. Her Taiwan experiences are described with an accuracy that is spell binding, particularly if the reader has an interest in US/Chinese/Taiwanese politics and how it got to where it is now. I happened to have been there some years earlier in a more comfortable time. She knows exactly where to inject some humor to keep the narrative zipping along. The book snaps up the reader's attention and never really lets it go. I am anxious to see her next book and heartily recommend Row, Row, Row Your Boat to any and all ages and persuasions. For a really good read, buy this book, you won't regret it!

Informative and funny.......2003-08-06
What a delightful, informative, funny book! Sure, this is THE book for Navy (and all military) wives, I can just imagine, how they nod, laugh, and probably cry remembering. But it might be even more insightful for people like me who didn't know the first thing about life "in the trenches". After reading this book I'll never look the same at military personnel - and especially their families.(Did I mention the book is funny?)
