Beautiful and moving with a touch of dark humor.......2007-10-17
I had no idea when picking up Lance Bass's memoir that I would be going on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I expected the book to be fluffy, light-hearted, and not really touch on anything too personal, since Bass has a reputation for being a very private person. However, the book really grabs your heart and doesn't let go; EVERYTHING is in here, from Bass's happy Southern childhood to his teenage years growing up in the public eye, from struggles and betrayal in the very cut-throat music industry to his much publicized spaceflight plans, and, finally, the personal turmoil he often went through in his private and romantic life.
What I liked most about the book was that, even in the face of hardship, Lance appears to have an almost sarcastic, dry humor about life, much like fellow gay literaries David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs. For example, he always lets the reader know his true underlying feelings, even if his words at the time express differently. There are also many sad parts of the book that make you want to reach out and give Lance a hug. In one scene, he expresses loneliness and longing for the true love that his bandmates had with their girlfriends, and mentions not having the opportunity to have sexual intercourse until age 21. His track record with men seems rather terrible as well - three out of the four men mentioned in the book end up hurting him - yet, amazingly, Bass keeps a positive attitude about everyone in his life, saying that despite not talking to certain people anymore, he still wants them to be okay.
And that's the way you end up feeling about Lance: you just want him to be okay. Lance comes across as very sweet and likeable in the book. He seems to take his Christianity very seriously, and assures his mother that he will go to Heaven when he dies. All in all, he just seems like a good person, a young guy who's trying to live a morally good life despite being a target of American tabloids and blogs. The stories he tells in this book are inspiring to young people of any race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, because they feel like they're coming from a very genuine place, and because they're stories of someone who has gone through so much, both good and bad, and still manages to wake up every day with a smile on his face.

I expected an official book to be a lenghty chapter book- but this had more information than it looked! plus cool colorful pics on each page. Of course this book covers their lives up to their debut album in '98, so of course its not exactly up-to-date anymore, but its cool to have. It has a section about each member that has some interesting info and old baby pics! Theres a section about their most embarrasing moments, which is always cool, and funny to hear about! Plus much more!

I an an obsessed *Nsync fan and bought this book a few years ago.I still read and have read it numerous times.It has baby pictures of the cuties and shows pictures of *Nsync when they just started singing.It has lots of info and is actually written partually by *Nsync,unlike most of the other books.

This is a book all about the popular band *nsync. they include how they got started, what's an everyday routine for them, bio's and several pages of their life story. they used a lot of qoites from when they where performing in Disney land (which if you have seen as much as I have...nothing new) personally I enjoyed the baby pictures of the guys. they have family pictures and a picture of when Justin was at the tender age of 14 (I laughed because they have changed so much) Several up-to-date pic's as well. you will probably enjoy this book!

this book is a must for all nsync fans! I was a little disapointed because they didn't have a lot of "411" on them as I like (mostly pics) but the pics are great~but It's an awesome book!

I think NSYNC is really cool. I've met them before they were famous which was really wicked and they're sooo down to earth. I mean BSB is well kinda..conceited if you ask me. That lifelong amount of fame has gotten to their heads but NSYNC is really nice and everything to their fans. I'm not "obsessed" or anything. I'm not really a fan but Lance is pretty cool. My special nickname for him is "Blonde Boy" and JC "Dude in the White Shirt" lol this was WAY before anyone knew who they were but like I totally support them in anything they do. They're nice guys.

nsync is the number one band and they have the awards to prove it justin alone has won 3 and the group to many to count and if i gave the awards away they would get everyone of them even though i only met joey and only joey he was really cool about taking his personal time to come and sign autographs well go nsync and buy every book out there everyone.

This is a great book to get for any *NSYNC fan. It has several great pics in it of each of the guys. It also has a lot of great facts in it about the guys. It does not have any of that rumor or "he said, she said" stuff that we often hear. It is stuff that they know to be true about the guys. It is a book to get if you are loyal fan and you want to get more pics of those five cuties. I would recommend this book to anymore. I have had it know for months and I still look in it all the time. A must get and this is a great price too, believe me , I shop around at the bookstores where I live and amazon.com is way the better deal.

This book may only contain 48 pages but, it is packed with a lot of info. It gives you a personal page or so of a member of N Sync and gives you lots of info about them. Some things you most likly never knew about! I give this book five stars and I think you will too once you read it!

I order the book from Amazon and I just got it today and I started to go and read it and I love it because it brings me back memores seeing them in Arizona in 1999 when I saw them it is great book. I love it a lot I can know what they do offstage this for any N'sync fans you will love reading it also it is so funny too with the pictures that they have in the book. I must admit that when I found my 9 year old daughter's copy of 'JUST JUSTIN' in the trash, (she says that she has grown out of the N'sync craze), I was a little skeptical at first. It didn't take long to realize that the tag line 'A scrumptious scrapbook' was an understatement to say the least. This 'totally kickin' piece of literature features wonderful pictures and stories from the 'cute one', as well as a wonderful explanation of Einstein's theory of Reletivity. I'm looking forward to his stage debut in Shakespeare's OTHELLO and his fabulously insightful soliliqy of the Sept. 11th tragedy brought a tear to my eye...

Justin is amazing, hot and sexy, fun and loving, and I adore the guy. As for the book, I don't. The book is really nice, some amazing pictures! But the book is WAY out of date, (it says he doesn't date Britney!!!) and it is mostly pictures. If you want info on him, do not get this. DO not think that I dislike Justin!!! But the book is poorer than I expected. But if you love Justin as much as I do, you will buy anything that has his NAME on it!

This is a great book. It has a ton of great pictures and everypage explains about Justin and it doesnt have any useless stuff that nobody really cares about in it either! Another great thing about this book is that if you dont have enough time to read the whole page word for word it summarizes each page with little bubbles that tell some key facts about every page. This book is so cool! It summarizes everything you could ever want to know about Justin Timberlake. One of the coolest things about this book is that it has 6 pages deicated to awesome facts all about him; from his favorite store to his new car, it tells everything! Now, to summarize the entire book I should just tell you that "Just Justin" is an awesome book and it cover the entire life of Justin Timberlake! You should really consider this book to either purchase or at least read. It is great for people like me who are in love with Justin Timberlake.

And so now what I think about the book. I think that this bookis a must have. I also think that if you have already ready all themagazines then this will be nothing new to you. But I would still get it anyways for the HOT pictures and don't let you're little sister get a hold of it ether! END
