This book was so engaging that I started reading it during a seminar... and continued while driving from Tampa to Gainesville. Yes, while driving and polishing one fingernail at a time. Great tips for newbie's or the seasoned professional...Just when you thought you knew it all! I was all ready to purchase this book, and gave it 5 stars based on the content, the organization, the pretty cover--everything. I was in my final decision stage when I used my favorite feature--look inside. This is why I give the content 5 stars but my feedback for author/editor/publisher and anyone else writing out there especially about ADHD (especially for those of us over 40) is that the font was way too small. At first I thought I must be looking at the copyright page and index page only. I'd love to hear that the remaining chapters are in a larger font than the first...please for the next edition, sacrifice the small size for larger print. You have left plenty of white space in the margins, perhaps that magnifies the effect. I simply can't read books I have to make the effort to read...after all, I have ADD!!
Great Book for tips to make your life run more smoothly.......2007-06-06
Very easy and fast read, great for us ADDers. Very good yet simple tips.
Yes, I have heard of some of these tips (anyone will if you watch enough HGTV shows) but there were quite a few I had not heard and were very useful.
My wish was a book not on the subject of ADD but rather a book filled with tips to show me an easy way to organize my home, office, car, bills, daily chores. This book totally fit the bill and I've been recommending it to all my non-ADD friends for organizing their houses!
Only drawback? I wish it had more tips : ) Although I plan to research the references she lists, also very helpful.
So far the best ADD book I have read.......2007-05-12
This book is super easy for an ADD person to read! The paragraphs are short and to the point. There is no wasted space on wordiness like in some other ADD books. Some of the tips are simple, but that is helpful as I needed the reminder of the simple tips that are out there. There are many tips in getting family members to help with your quest to simplify your ADD life. That wasn't helpful to me as this is something I want to work-on by myself. But others may enjoy reading those tips. The book is wonderfully put together in that you can open it to any page and start reading. There is no need to read from cover to cover. So far this has been the best ADD book that I have read.

Divination in many forms. Creator knows his path........2004-07-26
As a follower of the Red Road, I rebuke the individuals claim that this is "Nativism (tarot with a feather on it)". As a matter of fact, if the individual owns the cards at all - there is hypocrisy abound.
Tarot is comprised of a Major Arcana and a Minor Arcana, with over 70 cards and more than twice the interpretations - as the cards have meanings when forward, reversed (upside-down), and even sideways.
The Lakota Sweat Lodge Deck - a deck I've been using for many years, consists of 50 cards that do NOT reverse (they only can be read in the forward position).
Tarot focuses on fortune telling, a path of gypsies and witches and mystics. Chief Lame Deer is focusing on Healing, and irregardless of the methods he chooses to employ in doing so - whether it be by piercing at the Sundance, or crafting these cards - he still is doing Wakan Tanka's work ...
These cards .... "speak" .... to me. I have never used the book as more than a nice fallback item in case their is no use for a reading and the message isn't clear. But the vibrance in the artwork, the messages it reveals, is beyond words. Simply holding the deck gives me a sense of the Chief's fullfilment in Creator's Gifts. I respect what The authors, illustrators, and publishers have allowed me to share with others.
This is THE BEST DECK I OWN. I own many and, quite simply, the energy from most "Tarot" type decks do not work with my own - they even seem to counter it. This energy ... flows.

Oh, please! More wannabee new-age stuff........2004-06-14
People see the author's name and assume the book/cards have some sort of legitimacy as representatyions of American Indian traditions. But this EXACTLY the sort of cultural misappropriation that we have been resisting for decades--the endless charade of "shamans," hucksters, new-age "culture vultures" and mysticism-disguised-as-Indianism (tarot with a feather on it!).
Please, readers, understand that this is NOT a fair, accurate, useful, or even respectful representation of Lakota (or ANY Indian) traditions. Go read some Vine Deloria, jr. or James Treat instead.

This is one of the most powerful tarots I have ever worked with. Not only is it good for divination, but it also gives you positive affirmations, and even some ritual ideas for getting your own answers. If you are on a spiritual path that favors divination and self exploration this is a must have.

My favorite tarot deck was the OSHO Zen Tarot, but the Sweat Lodge cards are much more powerful. These cards gave me an insight into a meditation and riutal that I should do. It was one to heal and calm. Well I couldn't figure out what it was about, but soon dicovered why I needed it. I highly recommend this deck.
Awakening.......2002-04-07
I found this deck in a 80% off bin in a bookstore. How could I go wrong, as an avid tarot and card collector. I had never heard of the deck, but once i got home and opened it, i was in for a real awakening. I had absolutely no idea how intuitive these cards would be. They are a great tool for self reflection and growth, and come with an informative book, and beautifully illustrated. A great tool for anyone interested in spirituality, or self discovery. I am fortunate to have gotten them for such a deal, but with what I have learned from using them, I would consider then a great buy at full price.

Beginning with the introduction of security market, this book goes into the analysis of broader financial aspects. Some of the materials covered in this book may be too complicated for beginners; however, if you keep reading it repeatedly, you will know what it is talking about.

Essential Reference Guide for Equity Market Investors.......2003-12-08
The book, Wealth Forever, is a landmark achievement that will greatly benefit all investors who read and apply its lessons. If you only read one book about stock market investing in your life, make it this one.
Wealth Forever is a one volume encyclopedia of historical data, equity market theories, and common sense about investing that will teach you about any fact or idea you need to know while giving you the framework to apply the learning to your own investments. The book is rigorous while remaining accessible. If you can understand simple algebraic equations, you can comprehend everything within its pages. The book's many detailed footnotes will also lead you to other books and articles that display more on the same subject.
While each subject has to be highly condensed to get the essential points across, the authors did a marvelous job of being sure that important material was included. For instance, the discussions of the Capital Asset Pricing Model are preceded by stating the assumptions behind the model. Most people simply apply the model without realizing that its assumptions differ from the real world by a large degree.
In my consulting, I often work with the chief financial officers and treasurers for major companies. If you read this book, your understanding of the equity markets will exceed all but the most knowledgeable of those professionals. The reason I make that point is that there is a constant outpouring of new research testing theories about the equity markets. Most people simply apply what they learned in graduate school, and much of that information has now been disproved by more recent studies of the financial markets. Yet most people do not take the time to keep up-to-date.
I hope that this book will be universally adopted by corporate executives, professional and individual investors and by corporate finance students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
I only found two aspects of the book to be less than outstanding. First, a lot of the material in the first few chapters could probably have been better placed after chapter 10. It seems to be placing the cart before the horse to talk about opening brokerage accounts and how to read technical charts before describing the approach one should take with investing. Second, the book needed a little better proofreading. The obvious errors that remain undercut the book's credibility. Although I did not check out all of the equations in detail, those did seem correct. Some of them, however, are annoyingly chopped up in the printing. It's as though the equations were typed in one software format, and that format didn't work well for the typesetting. In the text, Peter Lynch is described as Peter Finch in one place, and Procter & Gamble is consistently spelled as "Proctor & Gamble." The time focus of the book's narrative about the markets veers back and forth between 1999 and 2003 in the text. Some of the material about 1999 is written as though the book ended there.
One of my favorite aspects of the book is that one set of evidence is used to help the reader understand all of the evidence. For example, there's a lengthy section looking at the apparent undervaluation of United Technologies that shows how one can assess such a subject, as well as the limitations of various stock valuation methods. Similarly, stock-trading strategies and their results are compared to index fund results so that readers can get a sense of the cost of information and trading compared to the benefits that can be achieved.
I came away, once again, confirmed in my view that index funds are a wonderful solution for almost all investors.
I was also reminded that we need to remain vigilant in being sure that our knowledge of important subjects is up-to-date. I hope the authors will bring out new editions of this book every five years or so.
