Book Description
Travel encompasses more than arriving in a new place -- it's about the view through an airplane window, the colors of the phone booths, the conversations with strangers, and the unique mementos collected along the way. In this journal, you'll find evocative travel images plus plenty of room to record your experiences and space to paste in ticket stubs, matchbooks, and postcards. The durable vinyl sleeve will withstand time and weather.

One of the coolest travel journals.......2007-01-03
I fell in love with the Wanderlust Travel Journal the first time I picked it up. Alongside the blank areas for writing, it has cool travel images, graphics and little nick nacks that give it lots of character. For those of you who are looking to give them as gifts (or if you just want one for yourself like me...) this book is the perfect thing! You'll want to fill it up with all of your travel stories!!
Gorgeous Design, Great Construction, Good for More Than Traveling.......2006-09-30
This is a gorgeous blank book. Approximately 250 pages long and filled with travel-related images that are strategically placed not to interfere with writing, the WANDERLUST TRAVEL JOURNAL is perfectly suited to -- but not at all limited to -- vacation notes.
Though I love to travel to exotic places and would happily use this blank book to record my thoughts on trips, I never do. Instead I use it at work in every day life to record my To Do lists.
Why? It's attractive enough to pull out at a meeting. The paper is high-quality and as a result fun to write on. And it includes a plastic folder that protects the cover and provides two pockets in which to slip tickets, photos, invitations, etc.
I have purchased approximately ten WANDERLUST TRAVEL JOURNALS over the last year and love they way they can be stored so attractively on a book shelf for later consultation to find a phone number, or the name of a contact I made in the past.
I highly recommend WANDERLUST TRAVEL JOURNAL for visual people on the go, who need to keep notes -- regardless of whether on vacation or just in everyday life.

cutest travel journal you'll ever find.......2006-06-29
Just used this for a trip to Europe and absolutely loved it! Loved the design and the little details added to the pages, most of which are blank so that you can write, sketch, do whatever you want to capture the moment. And there's just enough pictures/quotes on the pages to prevent it from being a plain white notebook. The only thing is that it's not spiral bound, but is still surprisingly easy to write on when even when you don't have a flat surface handy. Definitely met my expectations!
Gorgeous journal.......2005-11-28
I bought this journal in Edmonton 8 months before I was to take a trip to Europe, and I was looking forward to using just it, nevermind the entire trip! It's full of unique photos, pictures, maps, and translations of basic phrases in about a dozen languages. It is much more interesting to write in a book full of pictures that reflect what you're doing, than staring at lines. I'd definitely recommend this journal to anyone with wanderlust.
highly recommended - clever, vivid travel oriented-graphic design.......2005-08-03
Sure, you could buy a travel journal that was a simple set of ruled pages, but, frankly, that kind of product doesn't even merit being sold on Amazon. My impression is that the Wanderlust stuff (I think there are books, journals and some notecards that I've seen) is for people who appreciate good graphic design and the author's (Litten) unique sense of humor. And, even more importantly for those of us that travel a lot, I always get comments from people - no matter where I am - whenever I pull out the journal. People really want to know "what that is".

The Best Travel Journal.......2007-04-15
I purchased this journal for my first trip abroad ten years ago, and have purchased one for each of my trips since. It's size makes it easy to carry in a day bag or carry-on luggage. Space is provided for phone numbers, addresses and e-mail addresses. Credit card numbers, packing list, expense lists, etc are all included. This journal is a must for all travelers!
Great Travel Journal.......2007-03-31
Have used this product before. It has all the space and categories I like in a travel journal.
A must have travel journal.......2005-09-24
This is my second journal like this and it is wonderful. It is the perfect size for my purse and easy to write in while traveling. I especially love the cover that protects it from dirt and stains. It has a place inside the cover front and back to keep extra receipts and postcards in while traveling. It is a must for anyone who wants to keep a record of their travel adventures.
Travel Journal of Choice.......2003-05-10
I have used the "Everywoman's Travel Journal"
for seven European trips, and have found it
exceptionally useful. As other reviewers have
mentioned, it contains pages to record
traveling expenses, film notes, an address
section, maps, calendar (missing in newer
editions), and space to record your complete
itinerary.
One thing I especially like is the fact that
the spine doesn't crack, and the pages do not
fall out, even with rough handling. There is
a clear plastic dustjacket, with space to store
postcards, tickets, and the like. The journal
is compact, and fits easily into a purse or
pocket. There are plenty of pages to record
extensive daily notes.
Of all of the Travel Journals I have seen or bought,
this one is my favorite.
A journaling traveler.......2002-06-17
I came upon this journal several years ago and have purchased one to complete with every subsequent trip. I now possess a mini-library of my travels. The journal contains outstanding tips on packing, foreign customs relating to women, and time/temperature conversion. Address book, travelers checque and film logs, and a designated space for copies of passport/ID/travel documents make this a complete, handy package that makes this a travel-must for me. The only downside is that, not having been updated recently, some of the reference data is out-dated. I also miss the calendars that were a handy part of the first edition. Despite this, it's still a fantastic way to document your travels.

This is my second book, I love this book and hope to get one every 5 years! It's a great way to save all our wonderful Christmas memories, places to put photos, write notes and share your wonderful experiences for years to come. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys scrapbooking but doesn't have the time...it's done for you except what you put in...love it
Excellent Legacy to Someday Leave.......2006-03-19
Although our 2 children are still very small, we already love to flip through the pages of this book and look at the first year when our oldest was a baby. This book records 5 years of Christmas memories and is a treasure in our home. Each year in full of areas for pictures, attaching keepsakes, and recording memories that would otherwise get forgotten with the passage of time. There is also a pocket in the far back to keep other treasures in as well, such as letters to Santa, etc. We have completed the first 4 years and I intend on buying another copy after we complete the 5th year in December 2006. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to preserve memories!
Great Memory Keeper.......2006-02-25
I loved this book so much, I used all the pages each year and was delighted that Amazon had a copy to order a second one! The whole family enjoys looking at the book each year, going over the previous years events and memories. I recommend it, a treasure for your grandchildren!
Wonderful Christmas Memory Book!.......2005-10-30
I must say I purchased this book in 2001 for my husband and I to record every Christmas together from 2001-2005. And have grown fond of this book. It has places for your card, stamp, photo's of your family, tree, decorations and all your favorite things including funny things that happen like when my brother got stuck under the tree one year! I've grown so fond of it that I'm back to order 2 more of these books now to enjoy from 2006 through 2013! If you want something wonderful to record your favorite christmas memories or some type of great gift to give those whom seem to get sentimental during Christmas this is the book you need!
Great way to preserve special Christmas memories that otherwise might be forgotten and will be a great Heirloom for generations to come. This has been my most cherished book of all time and I'm sure it'll be yours too. comes with pockets to hold keepsakes, places to jot down special memories, great illustated pages and themes that only Susan Branch can deliver!

Beautiful book for capturing Christmas memories.......2007-01-19
I purchased this book for my nephew and his wife who just had their first child. the quality of the book is excellent and it is beautifully illustrated. My niece had always admired a Christmas book that I had kept, and when I couldn't locate the same type, I went on a search for something that would last through the years to become a family heirloom, and I think I found it in this book! AB
Good artistry, but not my favorite memory capturing book.......2007-01-13
I was given a "Pocketfull of Christmas Memories" book by my in-laws on my husband and my first Christmas together. I loved the book, and last year was the last entry into the book as there were no more pages. My previous book covered Holiday events attended, holiday preperations, family traditions new and old, gifts received and given, as well as entries for what was done on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve. I was a little disappointed when I got this book in that it only allows for a small amount of journaling on what was done on Christmas Day. The pages and book itself are absolutely beautiful, but it does not allow the owner to capture memories of the ENTIRE holiday season.
Definitely worth having.......2004-10-08
I saw this book at a bridal shower for a friend of mine, and I immediately went and bought one for myself. It is a great book for those of us who like to journal or even scrapbook, but don't really want to take the time to do big projects. This book is perfect. It doesn't require a lot of time. In fact, there is only one picture slot for each year, but I always cut and paste a few more. I have also started putting the "Christmas letter" I send to everyone behind the picture. On the opposite page there are just a few quesions about what happened during Christmas that year. I only take it out at Christmas, and all of my family and friends love looking through it. this is one of my favorite things to give as wedding gifts or as a Christmas gift to newly wed friends.
It really makes a great gift!
This Book Made and continues to make a great gift!.......2000-12-13
I received this book as a wedding shower gift. I look forward to recording 20-years of Christmas' together. I liked this idea so much, that I also gave the book as Christmas presents to my newlywed sister and her husband and my newlywed brother-in-law and his wife. Now, we will all be able to record our family Christmas' as we all start our Christmas' as married couples with new family members.
great family record book.......1999-05-13
What a great way to record family memories. I wish I would have started one the year I was married. Instead I purchased this one after being married for 12 years and have tried to recreate the past 12 years (which has been difficult to do) I always get this for wedding or shower gifts so my friends can record their precious memories as they happpen!

fruitcake memories of truman capote & sook.......2001-01-15
Marie Rudisill is absolutely fabulous with this fruitcake book. This is by far the most wonderful cook book i have ever seen in my entire life. I was also able to read other of Rudisills books and she is one of the best writers there is and has ever been. Two thumbs up to Rudisill on the Jay Leno show. She was funny keeping Jay and Mel Gibson in line. I strongly recommend everyone to try this delightful fruitcake book. Check out The Southern Haunting of Truman Capote, it was inspiring learning about his childhood in the south.
FRUITCAKE MEMORIES.......2001-01-03
MARIE RUDISILL HAS OUT DONE HERSELF WITH THIS FANTASTIC BOOK. IT NOT ONLY GIVES WONDERFUL RECEIPS IT ALSO SHARES MEMORIES OF TRUMAN CAPOTE AND SOOK FAULK..THIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THIS BEST COOKBOOK I HAVE EVER OWNED. I ALSO HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING MS. RUDISILL ON THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO AND MEL GIBSON, THIS WAS THE BEST EPSIODE I EVER SAW..SHE HAD NO TROUBLE KEEPING THESE TWO MEN IN LINE, AND IT SEEMED THEY ENJOYED EVERY BIT OF IT...
DYNAMITE.......2000-12-17
A wonderful reflection of a generation as much as a collection of effective recipes. It doesn't just seem appropriate that the subject of fruitcake stirs this focused book. The times were tough and the cake ingredients reflected that. Speaking of charmingly tough, Marie Rudisill's moments with Mel Gibson and Jay Leno should make the Late Night hall of fame. As a Capote aunt, you'd almost expect a wry scolding, but with both men up to their wrists in fruitcake batter, the pleadings to be careful with her prized recipe were loving and comfortable. So is this book.
Book Description
The most celebrated holiday in the Jewish year, Passover commemorates the Exodus of Hebrew slaves from Egypt to freedom over 3,500 years ago. This colorful book explores the many forms that this weeklong celebration takes worldwide. Deborah Heiligman's rich text details the long lavish meals called seders, at which Exodus is recalled in ritual, prayer, song, and story. The historical significance of the food at these Passover feasts is also explained, and delicious recipes encourage readers to experience the full flavors of this internationally observed holiday. Rabbi Shira Stern's informative note provides parents and teachers with a historical and cultural background of the celebration of Passover.

Customer Reviews:
Don't leave home without it.......2007-02-09
I bought this travel journal several years ago. I went to Mexico with it and it made my trip so much easier. It has a waterproof rubbery front and back with an elastic to hold in important papers. It also has inside pockets that helped me keep up with boarding passes, itineries, receipts, passports, etc.. There are also lots of great travel suggestions and tips inside and places where you can write down your own thoughts during quiet moments wherever you may be. It's very well made and quite durable and expandable. I even pressed some flowers between some of the pages. I loved this journal so much I ordered 3 more so that I would have one on hand for my next journey. They acutally wouldn't look bad lined up together on a bookshelf as a collection grows and the world is explored.
Like it..........2007-01-09
This journal format works fine. Somewhat
helps/reminds you of what to write, etc.
Love this journal - repeat user .......2005-07-30
I bought this right before a 10 day trip to Mediterranean France 2 years ago, I bought again for a week in Aruba last year and I've ordered another for my dream trip to Maui coming up in December. It's a lot of fun writing in this thing and makes you that much more excited to travel or just plan your travel actually. You can start with no destination in mind and read the little blurbs about promising itineraries...practically speaking it very functional too. Rubber cover (great for the surf splash, spilled coffee, wine at the cafe), plastic pockets on front and back cover to hold receipts, & all those little pieces of paper you collect as memorabilia, and the content: list of what to bring --I scribble and edit all over this page because I hate to forget anything, yet I'm a one suitcase girl...) Address pages, contact pages so I don't forget phone numbers and I also keep my credit card numbers passport numbers in this journal (I write it in code for would be identity theives, however). BEST of ALL, the budget page. I can easily calculate my per diem and track my spending. I pack a lot into my vacations and I am always under or right on budget, very important for single female traveler. There are at least 100 pages, plenty blank space to write your thoughts during an extended trip. There's a elastic band to hold the whole shebang together. I like that I can keep everything in one place with this book: budget info, train/bus/air tickets, journal section, memorabilia. The profile is small, thin enough to fit into an inside pocket. I find myself going through my old Abroad journals and reliving my vacation. For modern nomads like me, This journal helps me enjoy my precious time off and get me geeked for my next vacation.
this is the ONLY travel journal!.......2005-01-05
this is the only travel journal someone needs to take over seas. it gives great journaling suggestions and is in a fantastic format. i've used these on 4 overseas ventures. (it's great to collect ticket stubs, napkins, business cards from favotite places to decorate the pages as well...)
makes a great gift as well!
Best travel journal out there.......2003-01-11
I am a study abroad advisor & travel addict. I recommend this journal to all of my students, as it contains much of the information we cover in our pre-departure orientation. I love the stylish way in which it sparks your creative side. The rubber cover makes it practically indestructible. (Obviously designed by a real vagabond.)

A Christmas Memory is the classic memoir of Truman Capote's childhood in rural Alabama. Until he was ten years old, Capote lived with distant relatives. This book is an autobiographical story of those years and his frank and fond memories of one of his cousins, Miss Sook Faulk. The text is illustrated with full color illustrations that add greatly to the story without distracting from Capote's poignant prose.
Book Description
First published in 1956, this much sought-after autobiographical recollection of Truman Capote's rural Alabama boyhood has become a modern-day classic. We are proud to be reprinting this warm and delicately illustrated edition of A Christmas Memory--"a tiny gem of a holiday story" (School Library Journal, starred review). Seven-year-old Buddy inaugurates the Christmas season by crying out to his cousin, Miss Sook Falk: "It's fruitcake weather!" Thus begins an unforgettable portrait of an odd but enduring friendship between two innocent souls--one young and one old--and the memories they share of beloved holiday rituals.
Customer Reviews:
Haruki Murakami's favorite book.......2007-04-29
I read "Children on their Birthdays" twenty years ago. I found so many peculiar characters in the story, but they were all innocent. Also I felt a small dusty town in the south. Peculiar, innocent, and dustythey still impress on me. Three stories of literary calendartwo Christmas stories and one Thanksgiving in this book also take on peculiarity and innocence. Old cousins, dogs, and bullies they are all innocent. And so was Capote. However, I never found "dusty", but "breezy" in these stories. Capote is one of Haruki Murakami's favorite authors, and he translated some Capote's stories into Japanese. He translated them so good that we sometimes notice his original stories and his translation indistinguishable from one another.
Terrific story.......2007-01-10
I ordered this book after first reading the story in a collection of Capote stories from the library. I knew I wanted to own it and share it. I ordered one for myself and one for a friend who loves Christmas so she could enjoy it and share it with her friends and family. I haven't listened to the CD that comes with it, but that was a nice surprise. The only thing I didn't like about the book are the illustrations. After having read more about Capote and seeing photos of him and his aunt, the pictures just didn't seem to match. They seemed too charming to me, not conveying the reality. For someone without a preconcieved idea of what the characters should look like it won't matter and this book is actually geared towards children, whereas the original story was not. I enjoyed my initial reading the most being able to create the scenes in my mind with his beautiful descriptions and my own experience with elderly relatives. I plan to search for version with no illustrations.
Classic!!! Wonderful!.......2007-01-01
A Christmas Memory is short but it is so rich that you will not end feeling deprived. The writing is so beautiful. I wanted to just crawl into that story and be there with them.
We had this for a book group and it received a unanimous thumbs up. Only one other book has done that.
A simply love story for new generations........2006-12-10
It's a shame Janet Schulman's 10 Trick-or-Treaters arrived too late for more timely October Halloween mention: all we can say is, it's sure to maintain interest over the next year and beyond, offering a blend of zany, bright drawings by Linda Davick paired with a Halloween-theme counting book based on the adventures of ten little trick-or-treaters. Truman Capote's classic A CHRISTMAS MEMORY receives Beth Peck's warm holiday drawings, a cd narrated by Celeste Holm and returns the 50th anniversary of a classic holiday story to print. A Christmas ritual of baking fruitcakes symbolizes the story of Buddy and his eccentric, elderly cousin. It first appeared in 1956 as a memoir of Capote's childhood but makes a simply love story for new generations.
A masterpiece.......2006-08-04
I refer to the short story "A Christmas Memory". Simply put: one of the most moving, well written and memorable short stories ever written in the English language
Book Description
Let's Make a Memory is packed with usable ideas for nurturing family traditions. Included are activities for holidays, vacations, and special occasions, relationship-builders to stimulate communication, and a treasury of other resources for creating lasting memories.

Great Brainstorming Tool for Young Families.......2006-01-05
I'm not a big Gaither fan but when my kids were little I read this book and got all kinds of good ideas. For example, we interviewed our kids on tape every birthday. Now that they are teenagers, these tapes are a real treasure. I highly recommend this book for young families who want to start some cherished family traditions.
memories that last a lifetime.......2002-06-28
This book helped me make family memories that will last a lifetime. They give practical suggestions you can use and build upon. They include some of their personal testimony and share how they built memories with their families.
Wonderful Christian ideas for your family/community.......2001-02-21
What a great book! This is definitly the best book I've seen on creative and Christian ideas to involve your family, friends and neighbors! Each holiday is listed with fun family traditions and ideas to involve your family and friends. What a perfect way to bring your family close together!
Book Description
It's December, and Amy can't help but remember the last holiday she spent with her mother. Back then, Amy was training Sundance, the feisty pony they had rescued from an auction. While Sundance had proven to be a talent in the show ring, he was still impossible to handle in the stable. Frustrated by the pony's attitude and her mother's rigorous training schedule, Amy is lacking holiday - and Heartland - spirit. But then, Sundance falls ill. As Amy watches over him, she is finally able to glimpse the vulnerable pony's true heart - and understand the precious gift she shares with her mother.

Very good and sad because Amy's moteher dies and Amy is left to carry on her mothers gift
Heartland is BORING!.......2005-03-25
Heartland is sssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring i just couldnt read ANY of it! Thats why i gave it one star thought i should of put none...but oh well
A Holiday Memory.......2005-03-23
Hi! I wanted to tell the people that haven't read this book yet that I found it kind of disapointing and boring. I think the only part I really liked was at the end when she got something. I can't tell what it was, though! I also want to say that the whole book was kind of sad. I hated the part were Sundance got colic. My horse got colic, and he was almost about to die, but he just made it! Whenever I read this, that part makes me cry. I like the other books better. But Lauren Brooke, WRITE MORE!!!
GREAT!!!!!.......2004-12-09
This one was really really good! It gives you an idea of what Amy's mom was really like. It is sad when Sundance gets the colic, but it is really sad knowing amy's mom didn't live that much longer after when the story is based. You can really see how much Amy has improved with the horses since her moms death. A must for Heartland and horse fans.
Heartland Holiday Edition.......2004-12-04
I am absolutely in love with the Heartland series, however, this particular book was a bit of a rude awakening. Not much time was spent in explaining the horses and Amy's time with them, and it was by far the most melodramatic and confusing story yet. I am sure this one is simply one glitch in the Heartland's numerous fascinating stories. I love the rest of 'em, just not quite this one!
Keep readin', writin' and learnin' about horses! They teach us everything!
P.S. Rescue Remedy (r) works on humans and dogs, too, not just horses! I use the Natural Remedy methods at my barn in Duvall, WA.
Love,
Anna
