...and then throw out all your antidepressants. There's a book for every emotion one can go through in life. One caveat, however: If you're easily embarrassed, don't read these books to yourself in public. You will piss your pants with laughter.

This book was a joy to read with both of my dearest friends. We all got more than a few good laughs at some of the pictures and captions. I would recommend this book as a gift for a good friend.

This was an awesome book that any Friends lover would love to have in their collection. I loved reading every bit of it and had it read in a few days if that long. Very interesting stuff in there. We have all 10 seasons and watch them quite often. We will never get sick of watching, learning about or hearing about our FRIENDS!!!

This is perfect for any Friends fan. It has interviews, photos, episode guides, summaries, biographies, trivia, and so much more. This book is amazing. I bought this as a gift for my sister for Christmas...she is OBESSED with the Friends show. The book had tons of great pictures, intervies, and information. I loved the picture on the front cover...all of the Friends stars look so beautiful! Then, on the back cover, it is amusing to see a completely opposite picture, all of hte Friends stars from one of the earlier seasons dressed very casually painting grafitti on a wall :-)
Any Friends fan will find something of interest in this book!

A great friendship... an amazing ride.......2007-01-26
Wingmen is much more than a memoir or an oral history. It's the story of a great friendship that spans the decades from World War II to the present day. In turns it's touching, humorous, harrowing, and inspiring. In the end you feel that you've not so much read a book as spent time listening to entertaining stories told by two good friends you've known for years. The chapter dealing with the "Forgotten War" in Korea is especially insightful, offering readers a chance to see a part of this little-discussed conflict from the inside. All in all a great read.

This is a VERY interesting book! These boys lead full and interesting lives. Shows us parts of history that you would find nowhere else. Also shows a friendship that lasts a lifetime. I recommend it highly.

Much more traditional than you'd think..........2003-06-12
The cover and the title of this book imply a funny, light-hearted, less-tradtional approach to the adventure/ordeal of planning a wedding. In truth, other than stressing the importance of doing what you want, rather than what you're being told you *should* want, this book is very traditional in its advice and approach. While the author does mention a few less traditional weddings in passing (mentioning marrying while skydiving numerous times), none of her advice is geared toward anyone actually taking one of these paths. Also, she seems to assume that every reader has the average $20,000 to spend on a wedding. One would think that a "best friend" might have had a few cost-cutting hints here or there. I give this book only two stars because it does not live up to its appearance. It's perfectly good for those of you having a traditional wedding; just make sure you have lots of money to spend if you're going to follow the advice.

With the plethora of wedding books on the market today, it's interesting to find one that strays a bit from the norm. With realistic reactions, numerous 'case studies' about other wedding, and interjected 'wedding myths' throughout the book, it's a quick read, a helpful guide to getting married, and a sets a good tone and perspective on the craziness of weddings, verses the serious commitment of marriage. It would be perfect, except it's really geared towards the bride in a 'her wedding not his' sort of way at some points, which i don't personally care for. However, I still highly recommend the book.

My man and I are planning our wedding and I am a wreck. This book made me laugh and think and get really excited. I recommend it to anyone that is planning a wedding, especially if you don't have a lot of friends who have planned weddings recently. Lara gives great advice and backs it up with ideas and antecdotes. A must read!

I recently got engaged and my fiance was terrified about all the plans we would have to make. We do not have a lot of money and have to be very careful how we spend the little we have. Lara's tips and tricks and funny stories have set her more at ease. This book is so worth the money it will save in psychotherapy!!! It is warm and fun. We loved it.

I thought this book was wonderful! Lara Carrigan does a great job at making the reader laugh while offering extremely useful information. I have purchased several "how to plan a wedding" books and I am using this one almost exclusively! It is great! After I read a couple of pages, I feel a lot less stressed out - which is a good thing for a bride-to-be! I recommend it to anyone planning a wedding! (She has a great sense of humor also!) Lara Carrigan is a princess!

i feel that anybody going through a grieving experience should have or be gifted this booklet. it is so helpful in understanding the diffrent stages we go thru when we grieve, both for ourselves and for the people around us trying to support us. it makes a tremendous difference. written in a clear and easy to understand way that is soothing and calming. a real gem. i highly recommend it.

This book helped me so much when my Grandmother died. It gave me an understanding of the grief process and the stages of grief in an easy to read manner. It helped me know that what I was feeling was part of the normal healing process. After reading this book I have been able to have more compassion and insight into others who are grieving from the loss of someone or something they loved. Everyone should get a chance to read this book for we all grieve at sometime in our lives and have people close to us who we want to support with their grief.

End of Torment can be viewed as an indepth clarification of Hermione. The book (or journal) was written at the time of Pound's hospitalization, and Hilda has a lot to say about her ex. However, HD still has her way with words (or play on words) and symbolic imagery, which can make this read a sweat. Nevertheless, it still is beautiful poetry and should not be overlooked. Also included is Hilda's archive of Pound's priceless poems.

I got this because I think it portrays some great emotions, ideas, and it makes for good parent-child discussions. Special needs kids, (autism, aspergers, etc.) might find it easier to talk through these concepts because the subjects are animals.
