Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Camping Disaster.......2007-06-03
A suspense thriller from a proven author with a light romance to prevent it from being maudlin. Lorrie Ryan takes her cloistered hemophiliac nephew on a camping trip which taps the resources of all concerned.
Fern Michaels', "Picture Perfect" grips the reader into the little boy whose inherited disease has restricted his life. Davy Taylor witnesses the killer attempt to add his mistress to the grave of his friend. His flight to safe is a thriller not to be missed.
A must read for all Fern Michaels fans.
Nash Black, author of "Qualifying Laps" and "Taxes, Stumbling Blocks & Pitfalls for Authors 2007."
Loved This One.......2006-10-15
I enjoy reading novels from Fern Michaels, but this one is very good. One of my favorites from her. A suspense thriller that will keep you turning the pages until the very end.
My first Fern.......2006-05-11
This is the first book that I have read by Fern Michaels, and I am in love. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I was not able to put it down longer than an hour. I am hooked, and seeking out more of this author's work.
Picture Perfect.......2006-04-03
'Picture Perfect' is a great book that showcases dysfunction in todays world at every level. 'Picture Perfect' also showcases love and compassion at every level. A great read. Thanks!
Don't buy books at the grocery store.......2006-03-09
I might dust off my science fiction novel if writing of this quality can make it to the best sellers list. Which book did she write that was a NY Times best seller? The characters are over dramatized and flat. At least this book had a story outline. My husband brought me another called "Vendetta" and it is boring and unbelivable. But I trudge through it hoping it may redeem itself. I would believe she is writing for an adolescent audience but the language and situations are a bit rough for that audience.
I will never read another of this author's books.

Awful,its that bad.......2006-10-15
I can't believe the other readers,I just received it a week ago,the backside looks promising,but it isn't.
I will warn, everybody for those who love,Gerri Hill,Lyn Denison and Kelly A.Zarembski, please never buy this one.
At first I think the writer must be something, between sixty and eighty years old,how in the world, can she write this,it's just like reading a local newspaper, where you always find those free advertisements.
There is never any electricity,or other tension, erotic ,your taxbill is less boring, they share there first kiss, which
feels like buying a ice-cream on the street. It just goes on,the first time they share the bed, looks like a walk with
you grandma on a rainyday,not to far,please. I don't understand why,she write likes this.the two persons,work
both there way, through a lost love, but only one moment, you think hey,she feels something, sadly enough that
feeling,is lost in a second,I'm sorry,but a waste of your money!
Touching.......2006-08-03
This is a touching love story between Kate and Casey.
Unbeknowst to them, Casey's aging mother and Kate's friend, Nora is playing matchmaker.
Will the career oriented Kate give up her relationship with Casey to move from North Carolina to Connecticut?
Read this great romance and see what happens.
A picture well worth it's own album!.......2006-07-05
Kate Bingham, driven and determined, is rising quickly through the ranks in the accounting firm where she works. Casey Marsden is the daughter of Nora Marsden, an old friend and former co-worker of Kate's. All three women are thrown together again when a new tragedy strikes Nora's family. Nora's husband is slowly being robbed of his mind.
Although not sure what she can do, Kate strives to help. Help that isn't easy for Kate to give considering she is still recovering from a not so long ago tragedy of her own. For that matter, what brought Casey home to begin with? Was it the tragedy her family is now facing? Or something else entirely? What could have affected Casey so severely that she gave up the life she had for the life she is now living?
Even amidst impending loss, both Kate and Casey can't help but think Nora is playing `matchmaker', something neither of them are sure they want. However, it's not long before both Casey and Kate start to feel Nora's efforts may have been worth it. Feelings each thought they'd never have again are beginning to resurface. Feelings that bring one big question as well as others for both women: How will the present, combined with the past, affect their chance at a future? Will they even allow themselves this chance? Only time and this newest tragedy will tell.
Picture Perfect is a terrific story that is both heartwarming and heartrending. A story of how diseases of the mind can rob more than just the afflicted person of their life. Of what happens when parents become the children and children become the parents. With her first book, Jane has given readers a dynamic story filled with messages of tragedy, hope and acceptance. Her upcoming book, Heart Trouble, due out in August 2006, can only be another well-written, intriguing offer from a writer who has joined the ranks of talented storytellers.
Review of "Picture Perfect" by Cheri.......2006-07-01
In her first published novel, Jane Vollbrecht shows that with love and the will, there is a way to overcome adversity and even find romance when life events block the path. What should be a distressing look at how Alzheimer's type dementia wreaks havoc on a family is, in fact, a life-affirming account of how two brave women deal with a dreadful disease that afflicts their fathers. "Picture Perfect," a worthy finalist for a 2005 GCLS Literary Award, has earned its place among books of substance. Vollbrecht is an author to watch, as she is getting off to an impressive start.
With hopes of making junior partner, Katherine Lorraine Bingham (Kate) prides herself on her accomplishments as she climbs the corporate ladder of an Atlanta-based accounting firmAlthough Kate grew up on a farm, she becomes a bona fide city girl who manages to fall in love with a country girl. Kate is reacquainted with Kayrun Clarice (Casey) when she goes to the hills of North Carolina to visit Nora Marsden, an old friend, former co-worker, and Casey's mother. Kate never counted on having feelings for the younger woman, who is actually closer to her age than Nora is, but sparks fly, and the attraction is mutual.
Kate has suffered a devastating break-up, which leaves her clueless as to what went wrong. Casey is not looking for love when she sees Kate again, but they form a bond, at first based on friendship and commonalities, but resulting in so much more.
Casey's father suffers from Alzheimer's, and her mother is in denial about the severity of his condition. Kate understands all too well the rocky road ahead for the Marsdens. "Although [Kate's] own father had been dead for more than six years, she was never more than a fleeting reminder away from reliving the horror of watching him die, synapse by synapse, as his brain rotted from the inside out. By the time it was done, he had forgotten how to do every single thing that constituted living" (p. 26).
"Picture Perfect" is touching, sweet, believable, vivid, and has plenty of humor to keep it from being completely depressing. After all, Alzheimer's disease isn't a picnic. Vollbrecht does a fine job of tapping into the human condition and the emotions that accompany it in a well-written novel equipped with romance between memorable characters and well-plotted action. Dealing with ill parents is never easy for the children who end up switching roles with their elders, but Casey does an admirable job of taking on the arduous task with amazing strength and valor. Having Kate's help is the one thing Casey comes to count on, but can their love survive Kate's professional ambitions?
While "Picture Perfect" is a truly satisfying romance, it is not simply a glorified lesbian love story. By showing how love helps conquer all, or at least how it makes life's adversities more tolerable, Vollbrecht provides the reader with just the right mix of pathos, information, and narrative to bring the reader into the story.
With love scenes that don't need to be graphic to convey the intense love and lust between these two women, characters you'll become invested in, and a story with a moral that reminds us what's important in life, "Picture Perfect" proves that Jane Vollbrecht is an author who has already left her mark on lesbian fiction. I am looking forward to "Heart Trouble" (scheduled for release in August 2006), "Dykes in the Daylight" (February 2007), "Close Enough" (May 2007), "Second Verse" (November 2007), and anything else penned by this talented and prolific author.
Interesting story.......2006-05-28
This was a compelling story that I read in one sitting. The writing was quite enjoyable and the novel a real page turner.
Kate is 46 years old when she gets together with 39 year old Casey. They have met periodically over the last 22 years through Kate being friends with Casey's mother at work.
Kate was partnered for 18 years when it ended four years earlier when her partner Nikki left abruptly saying she was bored - Kate still is at a loss and hadn't seen the breakup coming.
Casey lost her partner of 12 years to cancer four years earlier. Casey considers it a once in a life time romance.
They meet again and are intensely attracted to each other. There is wonderful humor throughout the book and the writing kept me interest to the last page
Kate is immensely supportive of Casey while she goes through tremendous hardships as her parents mental and emotional health take a crash dive.
It a rough road ahead as Kate is a very successful accountant in a firm 2 hours away from Casey's rural home. It comes to a point were Casey lays it on the line that all compromise must come from Kate as she has no interest in living anywhere but the country. Casey says some pretty ugly things. It was very interesting the direction the story took.

A Great Read!!.......2006-07-07
While I still find the premise (seven college friends staying in touch years after college) of these books unbelievable, the mystery element of these books is extremely captivating! Ms. Smiths' characters are believable and very down to earth.
Fabulous!.......2006-04-15
The beautiful cover of this book captured my attention. I read the back and thought a story about a model going on a mission trip to Vietnam sounded interesting. The fact that she also had a psycho stalker made me want to read it. The story was fast paced from the beginning and held my attention to the end. The spiritual theme was strong, but not preachy. The hero was the ideal Christian man, and though he didn't have the drop-dead good looks that the heroine's fiance possessed, his love for the Lord is what attracted the heroine. She and the hero couldn't have been more different, yet at heart they both wanted to serve the Lord. The heroine was very wealthy, and when Jesus impressed on her heart the need to give up everything to follow Him, she resisted at first. How many of us want to serve God, but with the conditions we impose firmly in place? We want to give Him most of our heart, but not all. I enjoyed going on this journey with Mick and Kim Lan. I found the tension and romantic aspect of the story very gratifying. The fact that she had a stalker waiting in the wings made it an edge-of-your-seat kind of read. Overall, I'd say this book was a real winner, and it was so well-written it makes me want to read the rest of the novels in the Sisters Suspense series.

Great Read.......2000-06-06
This romance novel was great. I felt the characters were very realistic with what is going on in the world today. I enjoyed this read very much. Ms. Carter is a very talented Lady and I look forward to her next novel. Keep up the good work.
Move Over Gwynne Forster - there's a new sister on the block.......2000-05-29
Picture Perfect is the perfect example of how the right words hooked up just right can tell a touching story. There were parts that made me glad, a little sad, and then happy all over again, at the same time sharing some knowledge of Sickle Cell Anemia that afflicts so many African Americans today. Cassidy tries to put her love for Brian on the back-burner when she learns that she has the trait, but true love wins out. With an interesting array of characters, the reader can't help but find PICTURE PERFECT a warm and amusing story that will keep you turning the pages. Reon Carter - you go girl! Debra Phillips (author of: Kiss Or Keep)
What a Wonderful Love Story.......2000-05-01
This book had so many issues, but Ms. Carter wove them together very well. The issue of Sickle Cell was the most profound. There are so many African Americans with this disease. I liked the way they explained exactly what the disease does to your body.
I loved the little girl Sandy. It seems she really loved her mother, eventhough she was not what we could say a "good one". I also enjoyed Cassie and her friend. Her friend learned a good lesson about beauty being in the eye of the beholder.
This was a wonderful love story, that I think you will enjoy.
Good reading.......2000-04-14
A very enjoyable book. I thought it was very well written and a easy reading book that held my interest. I would recommend this book to all romance readers.
Easy Romance without the fluff........2000-04-02
I felt this was a good first effort by Ms. Carter..she was pretty straight to the point and the characters were realistic. Author has a concise writing style that moves you quickly from one page to the next. The characters were well developed and believable not too far in the clouds to understand or get a mental picture of what they were actually speaking about....overall good content...a must read for all of you romantics out there!

Prom Time is here!.......2005-03-27
Jessica and her best friend,Lila Fowler, make a list od uncool people as dates. They don't want to date anyone from Sweet Valley High,Bridgewater,Big Mesa,Lovette Academy, and I forgot what else. Elizabeth wants to date Devin, but dance with her Ex-boyfriend,Todd Wilkins one more time. Enid Rollins's date is Tad'Blubber" Johnson
Great.......2001-08-05
Read this,by all means,if you would like to read a good and fun SVH book.Jess and Lila try to decide who they should go to the prom with by starting a rating system, sorting hotties from losers. When the boys find out, they are furious and is Jessica still popular with boys??...Nuh-uh!!!
pretty neat.......1999-11-05
this one of the sweetvalley series can be read to keep in tune with the series. the book revolves around the upcomin' prom and jessica and liz's date dilemmas. jessica has an ingenious idea she along with Lila rate the dudes of SVU. liz has to choose between todd and devon whitelaw.
Great.......1998-08-14
I found this book interesting at least this time 2 guys are fighting over Liz and not Jessica who is totally unpopular with the guys this minute. That rating idea was good but she and Lila got caught what a shame. It would of been interesting to see who they pick. As for Liz, she is too wishy-washy. I mean just pick one already. Todd is the one that's right for her and Devon should give Jess a chance she's not as bad as people think. They think on the same wavelength and then have their ideas blow up in their face. She could fall in love. I just want to know how Jordan is going to handle having 2 dates at the same time. I can't wait till the next one. As for Enid I think she and that Blubber guy should go out and she should give the poor guy a chance, so what if he's not a genius.
This is the start of the end!.......1998-08-05
I can't believe that the Twins are going to be 17 and they are moving on to the 12th grade. This is quite a surprise. I don't know if you know but at the sweet vallley page they told the next super and it is called Last Wish. It is when the twins turn 17!!!! This book is great but is sad because the series is coming to a end. (thats the way they made it sound) I have ordered the 2 & 3 book in the series but what is the 4th?????? Please e-mail me if you know! Thanx

Picture Of Love.......2004-09-15
I really really enjoyed this book. Davine Spencer had no idea what she was in for when she decieded to steal paintings (she believes belong to her father) from a company. What she doesn't count on is the good looking man that now heads the company. Justine Hardy is a super fine brother that's out to save his fathers company and definitely doesn't need distractions from Davine. Filled with suspense, this story will have you on the edge of your seat.
Excellent from start to finish!!!!.......1999-10-16
From the very beginning I knew this was going to be a great story. Like another reader said, I couldn't wait to see what happened next, but I wanted to prolong the ending because it was so good. There just has to be a sequel!! Ms. Harrison can not just leave us hanging !!
Good, Good, Good.......1999-04-23
'Picture Perfect' was perfectly good, the story was intriguing, and romantic. The main characters were trying to cope with trusting each other, the resistance of familiy, and being on opposite ends of a tug of war. How can you convincingly pull against someone when all you want to do is be together? They took a weekend "time out", and that set the tone for the story. This was a good book, and the story was believably done. Kudos for Ms Harrison.
Takes romance writing to a new level.......1999-04-22
Picture Perfect gives us credible, passionate people involved in a unique situation. The plot is a refreshing change from the standard romance fare. It is interesting and realistic without a surplus of technical details. The sub characters are fully dimensional and do more than help carry the story. And the hero and heroine not only burn up the page with passion, their genuine love and compassion for one another gives new meaning to the word 'romance.' Put on a nice CD, pour a glass of your favorite libation, turn on the answering machine and have the bon-bons at hand. Then submerge yourself in this intelligently written, sophisticated book. It's better than a weekend at the spa!
WONDERFUL ROMANCE MYSTERY!!!.......1999-04-22
PERFECT PICTURE was exciting, mysterious, romantic. It was everything I like in a novel,it had length, lots of turns and twists, lots of characters and at times it was funny,I could not put it down and it left you wanting more. Congratulations to Shirley for a job well done and I look forward to more books in the future.

Not that shes jealous. Or is she?
Customer Reviews:
GREAT STORY ABOUT NICE KIDS.......2001-08-30
Linda Bernson does a great job of getting into a teen's head with this feel-good story about young people falling in love. Although I'm no longer a teen, Picture Perfect brought back the all feelings of being young, hopeful and excited about life. This novel is uplifting entertainment for readers of all ages. Cool book, Ms. Bernson...write another!
Absolutely remarkable! Very highly recommended.......2001-08-20
Cassie and Justin have been best friends forever, through horror movies, sleepovers and desperate crushes. But now Cassie has a problem, because its just not cool to start liking the boy you've always been best friends with. Especially when the stuck-up Home Coming queen decides she likes Justin and he seems equally interested. After all, Cassie can't hope to compete with Ms Perfect and Popular.
That's not her only problem. Cassie's folks are having financial problems. She can help out if she wins the painting division of the spring art show. But its only a month away and she has a lot of work to do. Her friends accuse Cassie of trading her pals for paintbrushes in her rush to finish the painting in time. But all the time spent in her studio isn't just meant to finish her project, it also allows her to avoid Justin.
Mixed emotions and concern for her family combine in this marvelous teen novel from author Linda Bernson. Cassie and Justin are kids that teens can identify with, complete with imperfections and stress. The underlying background of artistic interests, both painting and photography, not only unifies the novel but also adds pizzazz. In addition, the surprising conclusion gives the perfect ending to this remarkable read. Fun, believable, and entertaining, PICTURE PERFECT comes very highly recommended.

Customer Reviews:
Cissy gets her chance to shine, but can't eclipse Natalie!.......1999-10-27
This is a priceless addition to the series; it was so nice to see some real development on the character of Cissy Stiles--finally! I always knew she was "more than just a pretty face." :-) For those of us who don't read a good book just once, there is lots here to pour over again and again, just like the rest of the series. Cissy takes the spotlight due her with all her innate poise and flourish. And yet Natalie is really the one who, quietly but faithfully, wins first place in our hearts. Which, of course, is as it should be.
Best Yet!.......1998-10-20
