How to move in God's supernatural power.......2007-09-12
Wow! This book really satisfies a true hunger for God. If you are looking for truth, even if it hurts, read this book. What an awesome work. This book truly is a manual for moving in God's supernatural power. The power written about in these pages are for people seeking true change, and are willing to lay everything down to bring the Kingdom of God to earth though relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Becomming spiritual power brokers.......2006-12-05
This book really is chewey. Lots of people who are looking for another Christian MacBook, a quick read full of filler, will fail to take time to understand it. The book contains interviews with leaders who talk to leaders about the importance of discerning the times we live in and how the Church faces a huge clash between the powers of darkness and the power of light. The whole point seems to be this - if we Christians do not bask in the light of God's love, then radiate His love to all they meet and take His anointing into the streets, all that will be left is a vast spiritual wasteland, a habitation of the enemy. We need a global warming of our hearts towards the lost. We need to take our focus off our egos and greed and immediate self-gratification in order to move out in the love and power of God.
What is really of God, what is soulish power and what originates in the demonic is addressed in this book in a way that no other Christian writer has dared to expose. Many people are still confused by the abuses of charlatans in both the Church and in the world who scream flashy prophecies and tout miraculous healings. The book talks about a coming showdown between the prophets of Baal in the World - those who adhere to occult sources of power - and prophets of Baal in the Church...something no one really seeks to really identify or confront. It will take the Manifest Presence of God and the power of God's true anointing to confront modern Baalism. And that power is being seen as thousands of Charismatic believers are taking the healing and prophetic gifts of the Holy Spirit to the streets and winning thousands of unbelievers to Christ.
The book forces leaders to think about where they are going with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Are the gifts of healing and prophetic revelation meant for their glory or for God's glory? Should they be reserved for believers or do unbelievers need to see a demonstration of Spirit in order to accept the Word? Who is leading the way and showing us how to really seek and save the lost?
The book is for serious readers who want answers about where this present move of God is taking us, where we have come from and where we are going. It is less about the occult origins of the New Age and more about the glory and power of God to transform the world than most readers suspect until they get deeper into the book.
I am really challenged by it and I am the author. It makes me want to become one who radiates the Love of Christ and seeks to release the gifts of the spirit to everyone I meet. Those I write about in this book, not only tell me how - but model it for me so I know that it can be done.
a bit disappointed..........2006-11-10
I bought this book because Bill Johnson's name was on it...I wasn't aware that Mahesh Chavda and Bill only contributed a chapter each until after getting the book.
Much of the book had a darker tone to it and then patted the backs of several of the bigger names in the spirit-filled ministerial world. Because I've been so hungry to "learn" more about being "spirit-filled", I was hoping to find good nuggets in this book.
I think if you've encountered people who were involved with witchcraft or other "magic arts" so-to-speak, this book will really appeal to you (which i believe is somewhat prevalent in the Pacific northwest). I haven't personally encountered that so this book wasn't really for me.

Book Description
Dr. Sir Walter Lee Mack, Jr. introduces readers to their purpose in God's kingdom. He provides a powerful foundation to launch readers into their divine assignments and encourages them to start right where they are. The Scriptures indicate that the "Kingdom of God" is defined as God's thoughts becoming our natural desires. Readers are inspired to pursue the strongest desires of their heart, for often they are the very calling and purpose of God for their life. Dr. Mack then takes them through a personal evaluation of their daily life, revealing where God can help them overcome obstacles and where they are already excelling. Dr. Mack teaches, inspires, and challenges readers to reach new levels in their walk with God and their kingdom purpose.

Got Passion for YOUR Kingdom Purpose?.......2005-07-29
PASSION FOR YOUR KINGDOM PURPOSE is an excellent book for anyone who is desiring/longing for the assignment of God to manifest in their life.
Walter Mack states that Kingdom assignment begins with a need-- a need in our family, church, community etc.
Mack further stresses that we get to the next level of Kingdom passion by being humble. As humility will align us with God's perfect will for our lives and sets us up for honor.
Readers will also be encouraged to have priorities in order: be on one accord, worship, study, fellowship and evangelism.
What I found equally interesting is the way Mack describes the salvation of the Kingdom woman as security, sociability, serenity and stamina.
PASSION FOR YOUR KINGDOM PURPOSE is an excellent book and valuable resource. It was truly a blessing and an encouragement to me and will be to you as well!
Happy Reading!

Enroute To Your Next Level.......2005-01-23
What is it that God has called you to do? Every person on the face of the earth is here due to God's divine plan. It's not by happenstance or coincidence. A christians ultimate goal is to live their life according to God's will and to spend eternity in Heaven; however, the average person has no idea what their purpose here on earth is. PASSION FOR YOUR KINGDOM PURPOSE by Dr. Sir Walter Mack Jr., takes you on a journey to discover what God has called you to do. The book is divided in three parts: Kingdom Passion of the Church, Kingdom Passion of a Man and Kingdom Passion of a Woman. By reading , studying and meditating on these sections we will develop a passion to fulfill God's will and know your purpose.
Kingdom Passion of the Church focuses on finding what God needs and being ready and available to fulfill those needs. God needs us to do His will but to also have a passion for it. The average person has a passion for something, whether it be reading, sports, music or children, there is something out there that you just LOVE doing. What God wants is for us to use that passion to upbuild his kingdom. For example, if you love reading, use that love to teach others to read, by doing this you are doing something you enjoy and also helping someone in need, which in essence is sharing God's love. If you have a passion for children and seeing them succeed, become a mentor and be a good Christian role model for a child in need. Whatever your passion is use it to upbuild God's kingdom by showing brotherly love.
The Kingdom Passion for a Man and The Kingdom Passion for a Woman, delves specifically into what Christian men and women need to do to discover their purpose. God wants His children to have peace and joy. Things that are not done according to God's will causes stress and depression. Both men and women should not be afraid to pray, converse with God, get to know Him intimately and spread His word to nonbelievers.
This book details ways to overcome whatever obstacles, trials or tribulations that may come your way. By trusting in God's word, being obedient and doing things according to His will, you can rest assured that peace and joy will come. I really enjoyed reading PASSION FOR YOUR KINGDOM PURPOSE, it gave me greater insight on how to realize what my purpose is, and it was easy to read without the feeling that it was preachy. If you are ready to go to the next level, sharpen your spiritual gifts and test your character, this book is definitely for you.

Each prayer is woven together with scripture verses and with notes referring to specific biblical texts. Types of prayers include prayers that worship and glorify the Lord, praying to enter God's presence, praying for revival, praying for others, praying for forgiveness and power over sin, praying for personal needs, and praying for the coming of the Kingdom of God.

Bible Study.......2004-06-11
The women of my church are doing a Bible Study right now with this book. It is a book truley from God and has been a great help and comfort to us all. However, I think that it is so horrible that people are selling these books for such outrageously high prices simply because it is "in demand" I paid 12.99 for mine just 2 months ago and now someone is trying to take advantage and sell it for 40.00. We would love to have more for the women who do not have one, but we can not and will not pay 40.00 for this book under these circumstances. If anyone out there is using this book for a group study, contact the publisher as we did, and they will give you permission to copy the pages for those who do not have a book. As for those selling these books for absurd prices, I will be praying for you.
Inspiring.......2000-12-01
I found this book very helpful in deepening my prayer time with God. The prayers can also be used as devotionals as they reference specific scriptures throughout. A variety of topics are covered including prayers for worshiping God, dealing with sin, sickness and disease, relationships, and praying to bring in the Kingdom of God. I was challenged by this book to pursue God in a deeper way and inspired by His greatness.
Best Prayers for Private/Public Use for Bible Christians.......2000-08-31
As an evangelical pastor who collects prayer books for use in personal devotions and for use from the pulpit, I have found "Prayers to Move Mountains" to be the best I have seen thus far.
The prayers are written simply, in plain English, but are nonetheless beautiful. They have substance, are anchored to Scripture, and though written for personal prayer times, are easily adapted for groups. The prayers are pretty much mainstream evangelical/fundamental with a slight charismatic twist in a few of them, and the few prayers which may reflect a variation from the readers point of view may be easily adjusted. I am a non-charismatic and only feel I need to slightly adjust a handful of the prayers.
The book contains 108 practical and reverential prayers divided into 11 categories, each prayer about 2 short pages long. The categories are: Worshiping God for Who He is, Thanking God for What He Has Done, Becoming More Like Jesus, Sin, Stress, Marriage and Family, The Lives of Your Children, Relationships, Job and Career, Sickness and Disease, and Bringing in the Kingdom of God.
If you are a Bible-oriented Christian, you will appreciate this prayer book. Go for it.

Book Description
Path down the Mountain journeys far from her home to live and study the art of weaving with Heron, a master weaver famous for her brilliantly colored cloth. Under Heron’s vigilant eye, Path begins to learn the secrets of the loom. But Path has secrets of her own. Secrets about her family and her past that she will not share with anyone, until she meets the baker’s son, a boy named Bird. As Midsummer Day approaches, a day for which hundreds of yards of cloth must be woven and dyed, both Path and Bird are consumed by their work. But in stolen moments, they gradually become friends. Their friendship angers Heron, who believes Path must devote herself only to weaving, and as the great holiday grows near, Path’s journey becomes more difficult than ever before.
In a futuristic world where cats talk and battery trees glow in the night, Path discovers that the gift of one’s own story is still the most precious thing of all.

A Book for the Young . . . and the Old.......2004-10-16
THE GIFT MOVES, by Steve Lyons, is this author's first literary accomplishment. And a worthy one. Geared toward the fifth to ninth grade reader, it has a cadence and beauty that will not be lost on those who choose to read it, even those of us who might be a bit older, too (like me!). I usually don't comment on the cover art of a book ("you can't judge a book by its cover"), but I think it is noteworthy to mention that the eye-catching design has insightful meaning to the story (the sandy beach, a girl's legs running on that beach, the colorful purple dress, the tattoo running up her legs, and, of utmost importance, the Sun and Moon pendant that is a significant symbol within the narrative).
The story unfolds around the life of Path, a young girl who is leaving her country home of Boon to live as a Hand (that's a weaver's apprentice) at a stodgy old ladies loomhouse. Bringing with her from Boon, she carries a special pendant - the Sun and Moon - that she took from her mother just before she died.
Once in her new community she is swiftly snatched up by Heron, her grumpy new loomhouse boss, and befriended by Bird, a nice young boy who works in the bakery next door. Excitement is palpable as everyone in this little village prepares for the Midsummer's Day celebration; everything (and I do mean everything) is packed into a burning pyre in the Circle of town, indicating the ending of the old year and beginning of the new.
But Path isn't very hip about Midsummer's Day. It's where her mother left her and turned her over to her father many years ago. Path has never forgiven her mother for that - the abandonment she feels throughout the story is achingly present - and hasn't attended a Midsummer's Day celebration in years because of it. Can she release the Moon and Star pendant, throwing it into the fire to live anew? Or will the fire envelope her instead?
The interesting thing about this book is that it can be enjoyed on many different levels. In order, there is: a coming of age story, a futuristic society turned back to a bartering civilization, a science fiction element in the development of trees that absorb and produce everything from batteries to earthen items, a love story, and unusual family dynamics. Although this may sound like something that would confuse younger readers, on the contrary I believe it will stimulate their imaginations. And even if they don't catch all the nuances to other themes, they're sure to enjoy at least a few levels of understanding after they're done with the novel.
The story is a gift!.......2004-07-04
What a wonderful book - set in the future but yet in the past - of a simple yet intriguing story of love, accomplishment and growing up. While the book is sold as targeted to teens, I enjoyed the book as an adult. It made me pause and consider some of my priorities. Bravo, Steve!

Book Description
Most Christian books are written on what God has done in the past and on what we can learn from those visitations. There are also many books devoted to various needs, issues and problems confronting the church today as well as methodologies to address them. However, too little is published on what the Lord currently is speaking to the church. By God's grace, that is what the author has attempted to do in this book.
You might say that the best of a hundred books is condensed into this one book, with the added bonus of about a dozen all-new insights thrown in. These 20 chapters are a unique work that deserves the attention of all serious Bible students. Whether you agree or disagree with the author, you will be stretched and enriched for effort to prove or disprove his gracious assertions.

DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!.......2005-03-01
God is on the move in bringing restoration to His Church, and in bringing forth His Kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven! He has deposited vital truths to His Prophet through this book. I was greatly moved to tears in reading it, because it oozes with wisdom and revelational truths! Much understanding and enlightenment is given to some of the more controversial subjects in the Bible. Uptegrove communicates the Word of God clearly and precisely, concerning such topics as: the wheat and the tares, false and true Prophets, the unity of the Spirit, the unity of the Faith, Overcomers and the Bride of Christ, and much more. This is one of the best books I have read, in bringing forth the right "NOW" Word of God, and it crosses all denominational lines with the love of the Father's Heart for His People. I highly recommend this this book to anyone, hungering to know,"how to get to where we need to be" in the Body of Christ.
Dawning: the Next Great Move of God.......2001-12-13
This is one of the few books that keeps driving you to your Bible to see if it really says that... and yes, it does! Kenneth Uptegrove has a way of putting things that gives one fresh insight and fresh enthusiasm.
As one who is convinced we are living in the last days, I was fascinated by his insight. This is a well documented, well written look at the next great move of God - the great harvest!
The Inspired Perspective of a Revivalist.......2001-06-06
Even though I live in Guam, a tiny Pacific Island far, far away, I consider this gracious brother in Arkansas to be my personal friend - by way of e-mail.
Kenneth Uptegrove provides-from the perspective of a Revivalist-some wonderful insights and, I believe, inspired ideas on what to expect as the next great move of God begins to dawn upon us. Ken presents these insights in an apologetics style that is poignant and catching, like a book of modern wisdom literature. It will occur to you as you read these revelatory insights that they are self-evident to be true. I believe that when you read this new book by my friend, it will evoke in you a quiet satisfaction, a sense within that says, "That's good! That needs to be said. I always believed that but could never quite put it into words."
A Bible Walk.......2001-04-30
Uptegrove has managed to put together an easy-to-read format and easy-to-understand text that makes us re-think our place in the world and our relationship with God. In spite of its simple and readily comprehensible text, it also boasts an olio of prophetic insights, visionary gifts, and a yet a sense of pedantic thinking. It's truly an outstanding piece of work by a man of the cloth and a scholar of the Bible who obviously mulled over his words a long time before putting pen to paper. He has divided these thoughts into three sections in the book: 1) Spiritual Awakening; 2) Spiritual Power; and 3) Spiritual Victory which gives readers an instant understanding of where Uptegrove is coming from in his philosophy to where he would like readers to go with him in the end. He offers valid and stunning comments without making readers feel that certain sets of beliefs are being forced upon them. His ideas on the "Pauline Precedent" are unique, and his position of accountability is something we should all take to heart during a period in society when no one wants to be responsible for any of their words or actions. The author has a gift for making a point and then backing it up with Scripture and enticing readers to check their own religious soures should they doubt his, and, thus, in such a way he is encouraging them to return to their Bibles if only but for a few minutes at a time. To add to his scholarly propensity, the author has laid out his thought-provoking words in a column-like format that allows for quick cross-referencing, along with an appendix and a finely documented bibilography--all under a striking cover. It's a book worth picking up and sitting down with in a quiet spot where you can allow Uptegrove's imagery to create premises and pictures for you, and perhaps bring a dawning to your world.
Nan DeVincent-Hayes, Ph.D Author, Student of Eschatology
Dawning: The next great move of God.......2001-04-24
This is a prophetic age, and the writer has tried to give us an insight as to what God mind is towards us. God 's word is all we need to change our lives. But man is very far from God's will, so God will still continue to speak to us. I recommend this book for all especially unbelievers.

Discusses how God is sovereign in the world situation.......2006-10-27
In this book, Witness Lee talks about human history from the time of Adam and how various governments and world situations have been sovereignly arranged to carry out God's purpose on the earth. Everything from the Roman Empire to the establishment of the United States as a dominant force in the world were necessary for God to accomplish his ultimate purpose. For example, the Roman Empire, with its laws and organization and vast territory under its control, made it possible for the early apostles to travel easily from place to place preaching the Gospel.
Even though this book was written in 1982, and new world situations have arisen, I think you'll find that Witness Lee's analysis is still very relevant and insightful. For example, he has a section on the "triangle" of Russia, China, and the U.S., the only countries to have what is needed to be powerful today - a large territory, a big population, natural resources, and skills. He aptly describes China's future many years before it plays out by noting that their resources are rich, but underdeveloped, and proposes that for this reason China will need the United States for the money and technology to develop their iron, copper, silver, and coal mines. Actually, this is exactly what happened, so that now China is one of America's biggest competitors in marketing world goods. I highly recommend this book, and as another reviewer put it, once you start it you may find yourself reading it in one sitting.
I've read it several times! It's that good........2001-11-18
Want to see how the world situation is related to God's move? Do you know that God also has a history? Read this book to find out. Warning: You may be finishing the book in one sitting; once you start you may find it difficult to stop.
A tremendous book.......2000-05-24
I enjoyed this book much more in my second reading, nearly twenty years after the initial publication. Full of the Holy Spirit and of wisdom, Witness Lee was the best Bible expositor I have ever read. In this book he identifies how God has sovereignly directed human affairs during the last 2,000 years, in order that He can accomplish His eternal purpose on this earth.
