Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
Only those who keep their wit and affections about them will survive the mass conditioning of the Organization, where confusion solemnly rules and conformity is king. As in our world itself, humanity prevails in the courage, love, and laughter of singular spirits--of men and women for whom life is an adventure no Organization can quell, and whose souls remain their own.

A Terrific Marriage of Kafka and Waugh .......2006-02-09
Anyone who has worked with the United Nations will recognize "the Organization" immediately. Ms. Hazzard worked there for ten years back in the 50s and it doesn't seem to have changed at all. But this book is more than a satire of the UN, it is a commentary on bureaucracy in general and great fun to read. Some of the humor is broad (a meeting attended by someone from the Section on Forceful Implementation of Peace Treaties and someone from the Section on Peaceful Uses for Atomic Weapons) but most of it is in that subtle area of humor which is almost indistinguishable from tragedy. This should be mandatory reading for anyone involved in any form of government or humanitarian work.

I expected much more.......2004-12-24
When I first purchased this book I expected a very thrilling, exciting mystery but when I finished reading it, it seemed as a somewhat boring novel because the story and events felt repetitive. That each event was just like the other. However I must say, the story did make me read on and on, for about 2 hours once. The story was quite a weird one...
A young girl named Beth and her single mother, Hannah, and younger brother, Tom, drove to the east coast from California to visit their grandparents' home. It was uncomfortable for Beth and Tom however even more for Hannah because she ran away from her parents' home and never returned for 20 years. Once they arrived, the layout of the house was the same, however the people weren't. Throughout their whole stay, many quarrels between Hannah and her drunken sister, Iris, had erupted about the cause of death of Clifton Becker. It was a blessing for Beth and Tom to ever get out of the house and hang out with some neighbors around. The whole stay, Beth and Tom tried to figure out the story behind Clifton and how to solve the 20 year old mystery. After all these years, someone finally admitted who pushed him down the deadly stairs, but who was it really?
Very Good i loved it!!!!!!.......2004-11-25
i would give it 5 stars iloved that book i thought it was so goodthat i told my mom to go out and buy the book for me and now i am doing a reading fair project on it .If i could i would want to tell the author to please write anthor part to that book I did not think it should have been left off there. Well my name is Lindsey and i loved your book i am in 7th grade and asking please WRITE somemore!!!
thanks Lindsey 13 Missississippi
Not my favorite of her books, but..........2004-11-09
it wasn't a waste of time, either. It's about a 16 year old girl named Beth who is forced to go along with her mother to her mother's childhood home. Hanny Lynn, Beth's mother, ran away from her family when she was a teenager and hasn't had contact with them since, and for a good reason! But what secret is hiding under the surface of this family? And why does Aunt Iris hate Hanny Lynn so much?
It was a little disappointing. I was expecting so much more from this book, but I do have to say the characterization was strong. I liked the contrasting personalities - especially that of drunken Aunt Iris. And the whole glass concept woven into the book was interesting as well. All in all, I'd probably give it a B.
The Glass House People.......2003-05-30
This book was a good book. It kept me want to read on and on. The only reason I gave it **** is because I got kind of confused during the middle of it. Here's my summary on the book:
A teenage girl named Beth has to go with her mom and brother to stay with her mom's family. She has to leave behind her boyfriend, Ray, with whom she works at a stained glass store. Her mom ran away from home when she was 17 and hadn't been back since then. When they get to the house, Beth meets her crazy, drunk aunt named Iris. Iris severly dislikes Beth's mom, who's name is Hannah. Beth is not really sure why. In this book, Beth finds out what truly happened the night before Hannah ran away and why she did.
This book leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat waiting to see what comes next!! Enjoy!!

Book Description
The book is a journey about someone with schizophrenia. It starts out in childhood from a large family from Philadelphia who are proud of the American and Irish heritage. The family subsequently suffers some horrible tragedy's as well as the authors journeying through the culture of the sixties and seventies as kid. The authors story shows a an overnight change when he becomes a teenager losing his personality in a slow decent to an eventual psychotic break by his late twenties. Despite losing much of himself the author never loses his athletic skills becoming a good bodybuilder and being fit to play in a pickup basketball games around his neighborhood. He goes to work in the construction trade that he isn't really cut out for. It is a rough and tumble existence at work and in his private life. The author focuses on his own treatment and how he treats people in an unforgiving social environment .While learning who he has been and who he has become are at a disconnect that he seeks to rectify by escaping his situation by developing a conspiracy to join the Philadelphia Eagles football team following a legal matter of the families. One of the things the author attempts to do is impart a better understanding of schizophrenia a disease that the general public has little knowledge of the full range of symptoms and the unfair social, economic and criminal punishment of these people. The book is at heart a human interest story and a political statement. The books hopes it also has an artistic value as delusions while in most instances are very unpleasant can also be very intriguing and imaginative offering a side of life that the general public would find interesting. The book has two parts and the second part is the authors poetry which focuses on love , anger, politics nature, disease and religion among other things. The author believes that his poetry is kind of like folk art while most don't have great literary value they are nonetheless interesting to read and the author hopes some of his better poems do have literary value. The poems don't make great use of metaphors in his writing most are simple rhyming poems with comparisons and a message. The author considers his poem " Like a man who was bright" to be his best poem although this is one of the few poems that won't be understood when read but hopes people enjoy the pleasant wording and flow of the poem. That poem is basically about being psychotic and in the end the writer asks the question though his experience of psychosis wasn't real to the outside world was it real nonetheless if only he experienced it. Many poems are about fishing or nature and the author likes to write about nature as well many poems the author writes are upbeat poems as well as some on despair.

CANDIDATE FOR MURDER
While congressional candidate Chip Gunn sweet-talks power brokers at his Houston fund-raiser, all hell breaks loose for catering chef Neil Marshall. In the kitchen, Gunn's guard is stabbed, and Neil's assistant is found gripping a bloody knife, swearing she never used it.
But when the victim vanishes, Neil and his friends become ensnared in a lethal mystery where innocence offers no protection . . . and where people in glass houses never throw stones, but shoot to kill. . . .
"Tim Hemlin is a tremedously gifted writer, and his kitchen scenes are pure seduction."
--Martha C. Lawrence, Author of Murder in Scorpio and The Cold Heart of Capricorn
"A WELCOME NEW VOICE IN THE MYSTERY FIELD."
--Earl Emerson
Customer Reviews:
As his student, this is my opinion.......2005-05-16
I am an eighth grader at my local middle school where Mr. Hemlin is the English teacher. I love his teaching methods and get along well with the kids in his class. I have not read one of his books yet, but I do know that he is a good writer and highly recomended. I encourage you to read one of his books.
standard fair.......2002-11-05
Having bought this novel for obvious reasons, devouring it was a different matter. The recipe, preparation and presentation were - predictable and not very imaginative.
At the end - I felt that I had just watched a Matt Houston episode - with different, rather bland characters. It should have been a little slow cooked Texas BBQ, but all I felt was the humidity of the Gulf Coast.
Avery talented author pens a terrific serio-comic mystery.......1997-07-21
Neil Marshall would be a very happy person if everyone would just leave
him alone so that he could cook his culinary masterpieces and perfect his
poetry writing skills. Unfortunately, his generous nature would never allow
him to abandon a friend in need. Since many of his friends seem to end up in
trouble, Neil is on a first name basis with most of the local police,
dangerous thugs, crooked politicians, and world famous private investigators
and lawyers. His connections come in handy when Neil is cooking and catering
a dinner part for a local thug, who wants to be the mayor.
It seems that one of Neil's kitchen help, Mattie, has been set up to
make it look as if she killed her former lover using a meat cleaver.
However, no body is found and the goons clean up the evidence before Neil
can even think of his next move. He takes Mattie home with him, but the kind
gesture turns into a ton of trouble from the police and the local criminals.
When Mattie's ex-lover is finally found dead in her apartment. She is
arrested for the crime. Neil plans to prove her innocence even if it means
risking his own life to do it.
With the exception of comic book "hero" Major Bummer (who would rather
chill like most teens), if ever there has been a more reluctant hero than Tim
Hemlin's protagonists, this reviewer has not come across him/her yet. Neil's
hesitancy to get involved makes the culinary chef cum poet much more
invigorating and realistic than most amateur detective tales. PEOPLE IN GLASS
HOUSES is a brisk entry in a wonderful culinary mystery series that, though
not everyone's palate, but will be enjoyed by readers who like to be
entertained in a less cerebral manner.
