3 out of 5 stars Take Everything with a Grain of Salt.......2007-07-16

This writer, seemingly motivated does not possess the legal education to properly guide citizens accused of federal crimes. This book however does provide some interesting forms, specifically the worksheet to determing the public safety factor to address placement of an inmate. The book is certainly not for lawyers and in my opinion could cause a citizen accused to challenge his lawyer to his detriment. The old adage a little knowledge.....It is interesting to read his perspective on the system and the dialogue that he believes goes on between prosecutors and defense lawyers. Its a quick read and does provide a little insight even to a veteran litigator. If anything it will help you understand your client's feeling. Good luck to the writer as he is a true beliver and is dedicated to the defense of our citizens.

5 out of 5 stars at long last.......2005-05-03

This book fills a gaping hole that has existed in federal criminal law. Fassler has managed to write the seemingly impossible -- a book that simultaneously deals with all aspects of federal prosecution from the defense's point of view, while at the same time making the subject understandable to the average defendant. It is difficult to do justice his effort. Suffice it to say that I know of defense attorneys who buy this book for their clients, and then find themselves referring to it again and again for their own use.
The book is a fascinating read. The language is crisp and sharp and filled with real-life examples of the numerous traps and pitfalls that a defendant must watch out for when confronted by the government. The chapters on hiring a lawyer and preparing for the sentencing hearing alone are worth the price of the book. They are eye-openers, and I seriously doubt that they ever been presented in such a no-holds-barred fachion before.
Fassler seems to be a bit of a genius. He has also managed to include in BUSTED the entire Federal Sentencing Guidelines! The actual Guidelines Manual is over 600 pages in length, and yet as hard as I look at Fassler's version, I have to admit that it contains the critical mass of the real thing. His use of his own designed charts compacts pages and pages of law into a single readable page. It took me a minute or two to understand precisely how to use his idea, but then saw that it is amazingly reader friendly. I wonder why the government never came up with this idea and produced a similar abbridged version for defendants (and lawyers and prosecutors).
Given that the United States now has the highest prison population in its history (and percentage wise, the highest of any civilized country in the history of the world), and that the US criminal code is the size of a smnall encyclopedia and being expanded every year, well, their should be no shortage of men and woman who can profit from this book. I very much hope defendants and defense attorneys learn of BUSTED BY THE FEDS. I can't imagine a more essential book for anyone on the "wrong" side of a confrontation with the government today.

Book Description

Busted! is a funny, smart, subversive worst-case scenario guide for casual drug users and their tolerant friends. It's the Bible on how not to get busted and what to do if you are. Using celebrity busts, outrageous everyman busts, and the author's professional experience, Busted! is everything you need to know about the criminal justice system, Drug War style, before it's too late.

Like a Law & Order episode, the book takes the reader through a typical small-time drug possession case from committing the crime (the buy/recommending a dealer), to handling police encounters like a pro, to getting busted, to spending a night in jail, to fighting your drug bust, to pleading guilty, through trials and appeals, and, finally, punishment - with irreverent humor and expert advice all the way to the bitter end.

Busted! also includes drug possession law for the house party, the rave, your roommate's stash; search and seizure on the street, in your ride, in your apartment, and up your ass. Drug War Driving Lessons covers DUI's and drugged driving; also learn how to make your phone call from jail count, how to ace your bail hearing, and protect your Internet privacy. The Dope Law Index includes possession law for marijuana, ecstasy, cocaine and methamphetamine for all 50 states. BUSTED! helps the casual drug user to know his rights, walk the thin grey line between legal and illegal and ultimately stay out of jail.

5 out of 5 stars The most useful book in my library..........2007-06-03

I consider Busted!: Drug War Survival Skills the most useful and informative book in my library. Being a libertarian, I've never been a fan of authority and arbitrary authority at that. That's all the War on Drugs is - an arbitrary group of people (the government) telling us plebs what we can and cannot put into our own bodies. Anyone that has half a brain realizes that this sort of behavior is antithetical to freedom, and certainly fascist in nature.

Busted! has over 300 pages of drug war survival skills, from not getting busted (the first half of the book) to what you'll need to do and go through in the criminal justice system (the second half of the book) if you do get busted. Every page is filled with witty humor, and various 'dope ditties' that tell about different cases of people getting busted and what they went through...most of them completely outrageous. You want to avoid ending up like those people, because the drug war is very real and very serious.

Even if you don't use drugs, you probably have some friends and family or know someone that does drugs. I would recommend this book for you as well. The WOD affects everyone, so it's good to be on your toes and know your rights fully. A lot of people have been put through the shredder because they were ignorant of their rights...don't be like them. Get with the program.

Get Busted!: Drug War Survival Skills.

4 out of 5 stars Really funny and exciting.......2006-08-28

I'd say this book is extremely informative for the responsible, occasional sit at home drug user. I read it and learned a few things about the law I didn't know about. Definately a must read for anyone who uses any drugs whether it be a little or a lot. If you're a dealer it gives you an outlook of legal information, but one of the author's commandments in the book is "Thou shall not sell" which every dealer already knows. The only rule for dealers is DON'T GET CAUGHT.

5 out of 5 stars A must read.......2006-07-30

Both sad and hilarious at the same time, this book is a must read for anyone who wonders at our current criminal justice policy. Almost four decades of the drug war have produced no discernable reduction in drug use, but loads of folks in prison and a steady erosion of our constitutional rights.

5 out of 5 stars Give This To Your Party Animal Teen.......2006-07-26

What could look nicer on a cop's resume for that promotion he's been wanting than a nice easy drug bust on your teen-ager. So what if the kid wasn't really involved - he was at the party. Former LA police Chief Daryl Gates said, "The casual drug user ought to be taken out and shot." The situation is different than it used to be - the "war on drugs" is law enforcement out of control. You may need to provide your teen with a little preventative maintenance - give him this book.

What Should I do if:

I'm keeping some dope in the house - p 22
I'd prefer not to get busted for my roommate's dope - p 30
While driving the dopemobile I see a flashing sign, "Drug Checkpoint 1 Mile" - p 155
I want to pretend this bust never happened - p 323
And 16 more....

The "Busted" Ten Commandments:

1. Thou shalt not deal.
2. Thou shalt not do dope with kiddies. Anyone over 18 passes the pipe to anyone under 18 and the gloves are off.
3. Thou shalt not covet more than a misdemeanor bust.
4. Thou shalt not squander thy rights.
5. and six more....

With outrageous anecdotes highlighted on every page, this book is funny, realistic, and an eye-opener. It is written by a defense attorney who does not condone drug use in any way. Drugs are illegal. They will get you busted and once you are in the system, it can be hard to get out.

A year ago, I passed this book on to my teen-ager, who passed it on to his friends. I just now found it - worn, marked, and dog-eared. Although I don't think my son and his friends do drugs, today's world puts the need for this type of information right up there with basic sex education - a little preventative maintenance goes a long way.

Zits is an amazingly accurate potrayal of teenage life and the relationship between teens and their parents. I should know. I am one. It is laugh-out-loud funny and it will be appreciated by parents, teens and anyone in between. A great gift for that teenage niece that owns everything. I would defnitely recommend it.

Poor Jeremy, forever stuck at 15: how is he ever to learn from his adventures? From breaking & making up again with Sara, from building koi ponds ... . The funny tales of our favorite teenager and his family are continued in this book and IMHO the stip is getting stronger and stronger but still I hope that Jeremy will turn 16 one day.

Picking up where The Underground left off, Busted! logs in as Book 7 in the Left Behind: The Kids series. And the bustee, of course, is Vicki, public enemy number one at Nicolae Carpathia High School, wanted for her part in producing The Underground, the secret newspaper she and her Young Trib Force buddies put out to spread the truth of the Rapture and U.N. Secretary-General Carpathia's evil plans for world domination. Refusing to rat out her friends, Vicki gets thrown into the lion's den--Northside Detention Center--where the resident chaplain tries to sell her on the Global Community Faith, a warped and watered-down vision of God. Lionel, Ryan, and the others pray for her as all around them more signs of the end times appear: Israel begins rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem while Carpathia solidifies his media monopoly. The plot reaches a fevered pitch as Judd and Price fly off to the Mideast to join forces with born-again Jews.

The Evangelical Christian science fiction series Left Behind: The Kids is a youth-oriented story line based on Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye's bestselling Left Behind. (Ages 9 to 12) --Paul Hughes

Book Description

These latest volumes of the hot-selling Left Behind juvenile series continue the story of four kids left behind after the Rapture. With themes and events that parallel the adult series, these books carry Left Behind's important message to the younger generation.

In #7 Busted, Vicki is sent to a juvenile detention center after school authorities charge her with distributing The Underground newspaper. The rest of the young Tribulation Force try to keep in touch with Vicki. Will she be able to hold up under the pressure?

5 out of 5 stars Series for adults now rewritten for teens.......2004-12-26

I have always enjoyed the adult series of Left Behind books. The kids books are just as good. The kids interact with the characters from the adult series, experience the same events, etc. However, since the main characters are teens, these books can appeal to younger readers. So far, the stories haven't had the ups and downs that the adult series has had. The adult series has books that are a lot more boring than others. The kids series seems to be good in every book. These are not for really young kids, but would be appropriate for young teens. I enjoy them and I am an adult.

5 out of 5 stars An Awesome book.......2004-04-02

"Left Behind" is about the bible prophecy of the `Coming of the Lord' that leaves the world in chaos. The book is an idea how it might actually be like for people who did not believe and are `left behind' after the disappearances of God's loyal subjects he brings to his side. The book is number seven in the series titled "Busted."
The story starts with Vickie who has been found out by Carpathia High, her high school about her Christian activities. They didn't have enough evidence that she was distributing the Underground, a Christian newspaper, but they still convicted her anyway. So they sent her to a detention center where she meets some new friends and then was adopted by the Stein family. This situation is not one a good one and she finally gets help to escape. She is recaptured when she returns to the school she attended. She finds out some news about things she didn't think were true.
Judd visits Israel with his pastor searching for something. Things happen when they arrive back but soon they are all brought back together. Vickie is sent back to the detention center she once left but knowing she has even more people out there caring for her.
To me, all the characters are my favorite. But I will choose only one, Judd is my favorite, because he takes on the responsibility of an adult, even though he is just a teenager All of the other characters respect him, even though they have their problems at times. They think of Judd as a father figure.

I recommend this book to all. Whoever is interested in hearing a story of the end of days on earth I think you should buy the series. I plan on reading the book to the end. To tell you the truth I picked this book just because my teacher wanted us to read a book, but when I started reading I immediately got into it. Now I will buy all the books to see what will happen.

2 out of 5 stars More apocalyptic teen soap opera.......2003-11-16

"Busted!", by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye, is #7 in their "Left Behind: The Kids" series of novels. Grounded in evangelical/fundamentalist Christian theology, the book continues the story of a group of young people living in an apocalyptic near future. The book's heroes continue their resistance mission while world leader Nicolae Carpathia continues to consolidate his new world order.

"Busted!" shows some of the flaws of the other books in the series. The dialogue is stiff and corny; many characters and scenes seem a bit forced. A significant theme of this story is the conversion of Jews to fundamentalist Christianity. I found the tone of the Jewish-related material in the book to be patronizing and paternalistic. Still, the story held my interest and did contain some intriguing elements. In some ways, it's like a good old fashioned dystopian sci-fi tale.

5 out of 5 stars Busted-a great new series!.......2003-10-12

The Young Trib Force has had amazing success with "The Underground" but, when Vicki's caught, they must make a decision of whether to continue printing the criminal newspaper.
With Vicki sent to a detention center, the three guys work with Mark and John. Also, a new believer joins the group, while one appears that they should have known all along.
Vicki moves in with a foster family, and discovers the secrets they have tried so hard to hide. Meanwhile, Judd travels with Bruce and discovers the miracle of the two witnesses at the Wailing Wall.
This book brings a lot of more character's in, and is wonderfully written. I loved this book, and there's a great twist that no one could ever guess!

5 out of 5 stars The Young Trib Force Faces Pressure.......2003-05-13

This seventh installment in the Left Behind Kids series finds Vicki and Judd attempting escape as school authorities pursue them relentlessly. At the end of book 6, Vicki was the one caught by the authorities. At the beginning of this seventh book, Vicki makes one last desperate attempt to escape and Judd Thompson Jr, the leader of the Young Tribulation Force, helps her in her attempt. However Vicki is captured and taken to a juvenile detention center, where she finds herself facing persecution.

Meanwhile, the other three post-Rapture teens face more troubles, along with two new friends, John and Mark. As they struggle to spread the Truth behind the global vanishings and warn people of the coming global judgments foretold in Scripture, the noose tightens at Nicolae High and the kids find themselves facing the pressure that threatens to keep the kids from sticking together as a team. They also seek to find out who the insider at the school who is helping them is. In the midst of their troubles, Old Testament prophecies are coming true all around them. Nicolae Carpathia, the one who the kids found to be the Antichrist back in book 4, signs a peace treaty with the nation of Israel, thus signalling the beginning of the seven most chaotic and perilous years mankind will ever see. By the time book 7 comes to its end, Carpathia has established a global regime and gains total control of Earth, decieving the people of the world into believing that he is the world savior, thus fulfilling Revelation chapter 6:1-2. Will the kids stay alive?

Busted is without a doubt one of the best installments in the series. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through, and it ends with a cliffhanger, as do all the books so far, and makes you eager to read the next book in this series about a group of post-Rapture Christians who struggle to survive in a quickly-dying world. 5 stars.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad, but missing information for other countries laws........2003-01-02

This book was not too bad. It has some good stuff but really it touches on U.S. law only and neglects other countries like Canada where some of the best B.C. bud is grown. The different state punishment charts are pretty much filler since all the states are closely related and similar. That could have been summarized shorter thus keeping more room in the book for other good info. All in all not bad, but could be better.

The book is written by one of the top writers on the subject of medicinal marijuana. I loved this book and found it helpful for statistical reports I have done on the subject, and even to improve my knowledge of the matter. I found it easy to read, and I keep at as a refrence guide for my own personal use. I recommend this to all who wish to have a better understanding of medicinal marijuana.

3 out of 5 stars Not bad.......2006-06-01

I bought this book more for a guilty pleasure sort of read than I did for the vocabulary. It wasn't an outstanding storyline, but it wasn't awful and did succeed in making me giggle a bit along the way.

As far as the vocab goes it is either inconsequential to the plot or a hindrance. It was irritating to have to look down the page every couple sentences to see what a word meant and this made it difficult to really get into the story. While the words are all used correctly in the technical sense, it seems like the connotations of some of them have been forgotten. I've never heard of your heart "distending" in your chest to be a good thing, for example. Because of that, learning the vocabulary from the book isn't much different than memorizing a list.

Overall, it isn't a bad read. Get it at your library though, it isn't something you'll be desperate to read again. Quick, easy, fun story and all the vocab you'll need with technically correct definitions supplied. Just don't expect any context clues to help you figure out the words on your own.

4 out of 5 stars Does what its supposed to.......2006-01-15

This book is not the greatest in the world, plotwise. It does, however, have a tolerable plot. It does help a little if you want to brush up on your SAT vocabulary. I'd get it from a library if possible. No reason to read it more than once, unless you're really desparate for vocab help.

This book was helpful and all, but the story was really unsatisfactory. It's very easy to read, so if you have nothing better to do (which I don't), I guess it makes it hard to put down. I don't recommend it unless, of course, you need to study the SAT words. I did find that helpful, but it makes it a bit hard to remember all of them and their definitions because it's a pretty short book with 1000 SAT words, so it's all kind of jam-packed and it's a bit overwhelming.
Also, I don't like the story because it was about a teenage girl trying to bust a highschool drug ring, so obviously they're going to talk "like teenagers," but they're also trying to teach you these big SAT words, and it all ends up sounding, well, extremely stupid. No teenager would ever talk like they do in the book. I guess that's not really the point, but then if the book isn't good (it's also EXTREMELY predictable), learning the SAT words in it is just as hard as it would be without the book. See what I mean?

4 out of 5 stars Busted.......2004-05-29

The main character has just recently graduated high school and started going to college. She's not with her friends. They all decided to go to different colleges. They really haven't stayed in contact. As for Kim she's smart but quite lazy. When she's back home she gets involed in an undercover investigation trying to bring down a drug ring at a high school.
I liked this novel because of the way it was written. This novel kept you guessing. The way things were and the details made it seem real. One of the things I liked is they didn't stay on one subject for too long. This is what made the book hard to put down.
This book is also good because while you're reading you're learning S.A.T vocabulary words. Having them put in the story makes them fun and easy to learn. I don't think the words made it more difficult to read. If anything the book has helped me with my vocabulary and added another book to my list of favorites.

Book Description

Knee-slapping fun for everyone! Well-known humorist and columnist Roger Welsch recalls with wit the missteps, mishaps, and local characters he encountered along the way to fixing up a pile of rusty sheet metal to a beautifully restored Allis Chalmers WC he lovingly refers to as Woodpecker. Listen-in as Roger tells the humorous story of the challenge that led to the Woodpeckers restoration, and the victory party that followed.

.......1998-11-05

Sometimes the truth hurts so bad that you just have to laugh.

I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading. I felt Rog's pain every time he related breaking a part or smashing a finger, and shared his satisfaction with small successes.

He tells the story of the Woodpecker's resurrection with a style and wit that is down to earth; none of the "holier than thou" point of view that's found in so many other books on tractor restoration. This book is not a technical manual, and doesn't pretend to be. It's the simple, real life story of one man's victory over a piece of broken down junk.

I found it be very enjoyable reading, and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the lighter side of life.

5 out of 5 stars The Essence of Tractor Restoration.......1997-10-07

Roger Welsch's long awaited second book on tractor restoration has finally appeared. This one was written during his restoration of "Woodpecker" an old unstyled Allis Chalmers WC. The tractor was given to him by a friend after being salvaged from a remote wood lot where it had been left to die many years earlier. This was a restoration he undertook on a dare, to prove he could do it. He did it for the fun of it. Roger doesn't work at restoring tractors, he plays and learns. He finds neat little lessons all over his shop.

The book is log of his restoration efforts. He hopes to provide a newcomer with a guide of just how to expect things might go with a tractor restoration. It is full of mechanical tips and techniques as well as addressing the spiritual aspects of tractor work. He shows us how time in the shop can be healing, even when it might not appear overtly productive. His focus on the process of restoration, rather than the end results, guides his time in shop and shapes his attitude toward the whole project. Learning is not just a goal unto itself, it is also a great reason to buy even more new tools.

Many books tell us how tractors are restored, but only Roger seems to address the question of "why" tractors are restored. He truly portrays the "restoration as adventure" aspect of the hobby. The nature of the friendships that can form around this hobby is also reported.

What's different about this book? Roger Welsch examines the Zen or "head part" of tractor rebuilding. What else is different is that this book includes a lot about the wrong way to do things. The best lessons are learned from mistakes, and Roger isn't afraid to share with us how much he has learned. Additionally, he doesn't assume the reader knows as much as most of the shop manuals seem to assume. Many excellent mechanical tips can be picked up from this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and it makes me look forward to my next tractor project.

5 out of 5 stars Celine,You rotton little sneak!!.......2005-05-11

Jessica is now dating Nick Fox,and she is curious as to what he does. She thinks he's an F.B.I. Man or something else. Elizabeth's boyfriend,Tom Watts's biological father is making the moves on her,but Tom doesn't see it because he's out of the room or out of the car. Nick stops a robbery at a movie theater, and they give Jessica Jujifruits and Diet Coke on the house for his capture of this guy. Jujifruits remind me of that Seinfeld episode"The Opposite" Doesn't those candies rip your teeth out?,it does to mom's. I'm better off with Junior Mints. Anyway Celine Whatever-her-last-name is pays for new furniture for Theta house,in the name of her grandmother. She becomes a Theta, and she meets this guy,I think he's on drugs or something. Elizabeth does tell Tom about Mr.Conroy's trying to make a pass at her,but he thinks she's lying. They break up. Jessica gets a hat for Lila[I wish a had a best friend my own age, puppy dog pout] She goes to Sweet Valley Millners and gets a hat ,Why can't Li get her own hat. Somehow, that sneak Celine puts swiches the hat with drugs, and Jessica is arrested.

4 out of 5 stars Tom--you jerk!!.......2002-06-06

I cannot believe Tom would believe his "father" over
Elizabeth. He's known his father for what? Two weeks!
And already he's believing his pond scum dad over his girlfriend.
Why would Elizabeth lie anyway?? It makes no sense!

However, as mad as I am at Tom, this WAS a good book. I'll
definitely be reading more.

As for Jessica, I think she was stupid to try to follow up
on something Nick obviously didn't want her to know. I hate
to say it, but Jessica needs a good kick in the butt every now
and then!

5 out of 5 stars Very Exciting!.......2001-07-30

This book is very exciting! Jessica Wakefield goes on Nick Fox's meet, but still hasn't gotten any real info. Then she and Nick are driving and when Nick spots a car following them, they go on a really exciting chase. Then Nick fights a man with a gun later on, and saves a lot of people. Jessica and Nick fall deeper in love, and it's so romantic. Elizabeth and Tom get closer. Now that they found out that George Conroy is actully Tom's father, Tom has gotten happier. Only Elizabeth hasn't. She can tell that Mr. Conroy is hitting on her- her son's girlfriend! He hits on her a few times, and she is fully disguisted. When she confronts him, she knows for sure he's hitting on her. Meanwhile, Alexandra Rollins is working for a substance abuse hotline, and is answering calls. Celine goes on a dangerous trip to get money. She gets a boyfriend, and uses him as part of her plan. She goes to dangerous areas and meets with very dangerous men that will kill her if she doesn't give them money by Tuesday. But she uses her boyfriend for some other dirty work. Meanwhile, Jessica is still trying to figure out Nick's secret, and comes close and closer and dangerously close! This book is great!

5 out of 5 stars Incredulous BooK!.......2000-08-12

This book was one of the best stories I have ever read. First of all, it was a page turner with George Conroy hitting on Elzabeth. I thought that was a great story, because you don't know whats going to happen next. And Jessica's new, mysterious boyfriend, Nick Fox keeps making read more and more. It is definetly a good book for teens to read!

5 out of 5 stars I love this book!.......1999-09-16

I can't believe Tom! How can he be so sure that his father is right. He didn't even try to find out if it is true. I really liked Jesscia's trials. They were interesting. Why was she so desperate to know more about Nick when she could've just asked him? This book was touching.

Book Description

Boston’s Big Dig broke ground in the mid-1980s, and ten years later broke records as the most expensive highway project in U.S. history, running nearly $10 billion over budget. But it’s only the most visible example of an increasingly common trend. Across the nation, construction projects large and small—from hospitals to schools to simple home improvements—are spiraling out of control with delays and cost overruns.

Clearly, the construction industry is in urgent need of reform. In Broken Buildings, Busted Budgets, prominent construction attorney Barry B. LePatner builds a powerful case for change in America’s sole remaining “mom and pop” industry—an industry that consumes $1.23 trillion and wastes at least $120 billion each year. With three decades of experience representing clients that include eminent architects and engineers, as well as corporations, institutions, and developers, LePatner has seen firsthand how this risk-averse industry is plagued by bad management, ineffective supervision, and insufficient investment in technology. In an engaging and direct style, he here pinpoints the issues that underlie the industry’s woes while providing practical tips for anyone in the business of building, including advice on the precise language owners should use during contract negotiations.

As a recent Brookings Institution report highlights, the United States will spend $25 trillion on construction by 2030. A full $3 trillion of that will be wasted if the system continues unchecked, and we will all pay the price. Now, armed with Broken Buildings, Busted Budgets, everyone involved in the purchase of a building—from homeowners seeking to remodel to civic developers embarking on large-scale projects—has the information they need to change this antiquated industry, one project at a time.

5 out of 5 stars Invaluable Insight.......2007-10-11

Never has a book so thoroughly explored the troubles plaguing an industry. But as sobering as the book is, it's also encouraging. Mr. LePatner proves that a reformed construction industry doesn't have to be some kind of unattainable utopia. He lays out what we can all do, engineers and architects alike, to make positive improvements in the industry. Now it's time to make his suggestions a reality.

5 out of 5 stars The Baseline on what's wrong with the construction industry.........2007-10-09

LePatner presents a courageousness expose on the enduring problems within the design and construction industry and offers a well constructed scenario on what can be done to fix these problems. This book will become the "baseline" for all others on the subject which follow. Well written and researched. A great read ....

4 out of 5 stars fascinating general interest material on the economics of construction.......2007-09-27

I try to read all of Robert Wright's books because his prose is always
crystal clear and his analysis is often incisive. (I'm not sure why
Amazon doesn't list him as third author but plenty of other online sites
do. Maybe it is because his name is on the title page but not the
cover?) In any event, he does not disappoint here. Combined, the three
authors provide a provocative take on the construction industry and its
problems. This book may represent the first time that construction has
been analyzed from the perspective of game theory and asymmetric
information. I'm not sure it's right, but it is a fascinating read and
too little of general interest is published on the economics of
construction.
