Even well-versed Biblical scholars might be perplexed if asked about Jabez, a little-known man listed in 1 Chronicles, chapter 4. Yet his simple petition is the cornerstone of The Prayer of Jabez and has become a call to live a more "blessed life" for countless readers.
The prayer is a simple one: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.' So God granted him what he requested."
In an era where many Christians shy away from anything that smacks of "name it and claim it," author Bruce Wilkinson alleviates misgivings by putting the prayer into perspective. Wilkinson, founder and president of Walk thru the Bible Ministries and a popular speaker for Promise Keepers, writes in a persuasive, conversational style that will woo even the most cynical reader. He has used the Jabez prayer for more than 30 years, and testifies enthusiastically to the changes it has wrought in his own life. Wilkinson challenges readers to recite the Jabez prayer every morning and keep a record of the changes that occur. The power, he emphasizes, is not in the prayer itself, but "rather, the power is in what you believe will happen as a result of the prayer, and the action you take." Wilkinson makes a convincing case. --Cindy Crosby

I tried but didnt get it ..........2007-06-15
I promised myself I'd read this for a dear friend who asked me when he was passing away. I kept my promise, almost. I read 75% of it but never really got the prayer deal other than bless me and bless me some more. Sorry folks but I dont see what the hoopla is about?
Fantastic.......2007-06-09
This is a marvelous gem of a book with the potential to change the world
What did it accomplish?.......2007-04-29
I was just talking with my men's Bible study group about this very book. I remember when it swept through the church like wild fire. We recited it at my church every week. What exactly was the lasting legacy of this book? Nothing...nothing at all except it sold quite a few books and calenders. Actually, it might have indeed left a legacy...Bless me God, bless me...give me more and bless me indeed...ME
ME...ME...The prosperity preachers abounding today say similar things.
Little Book---Big Message.......2007-03-15
I was a little taken aback when I read some of the negative reviews on this book. It inspired me and I keep a copy of it in my car so I can have it's message and 'the prayer' handy. Christians, just like anyone, sometimes feel burnout or frustration. For me, this was the bellows that blew on my heart to rekindle the flames of belief.
Look for a book with more depth.......2007-01-12
This book was given to my wife as a Christmas present by the youth coordinator at our church. It's a very short book - only 92 pages - that can be read in just a short time. It is a light and easy read for a long afternoon.
Bruce Wilkinson takes the prayer said by Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:10 and explains how praying this prayer can greatly change things in your life and bring blessings to yourself. Some may find the prayer to be a bit selfish, but if the blessings you receive are used in the right way it can surely be used to God's advantage.
The book is an easy and light read and there are plenty of good points about prayer. I like Jabez's prayer and it is one that I may apply in my personal prayer life. But the book failed to really spark anything in my soul. Maybe if I apply the prayer long enough this opinion may change, but for now, I've certainly read other books which have lit my soul on fire and really push me to make a difference in myself for the glory of God. I'm also a bit weary of Wilkinson's translations of what the prayer really means. There are no supporting facts to back up Wilkinson's claims of Jabez's meaning of the prayer. I would recommend this book maybe to a new believer just to give them a jump start with prayer (the book does encourage you to pray every day). But for someone who is looking for more depth in their prayer life, I'd suggest other books on the subject.

SCD "cured" my U. Colitis.......2007-09-14
R e a d t h e b o o k !
T r y S C D!
It is specific healthy whole foods. It can not harm you.
When you go on the SCD diet you can see for yourself intelligently from your first hand experience if it works for you. I was eating this way for over six years and it was not that hard to eat healthy when it made me feel great and stop all my symptoms..
Elimination diet is much better choice.......2007-07-20
The SCD diet has a very high percentage of success and there is a good reason for this.
It completely eliminates refined sugar, artificial sweeteners and flavorings, white flour, any food high in trans fat and of course any junk food, which is bad for everyone.
This diet takes care of: bacteria overgrowth, gluten intolerance (very common in IBD patients), allergies for wheat and oats and allergy for soy.
Eliminating milk from an adults' diet helps with digestion for everyone, with or without lactose intolerance or milk allergy.
The downside of this diet is that it is unnecessarily restrictive, hard to follow and extremely expensive .
There is no need to eliminate all the grains for ones with gluten intolerance or wheat allergy and of course for ones whose problematic food is milk. Maybe white rice really is not good, but brown rice has very high nutrition value and should be allowed. Quinoa and amaranth are very good sources of protein, iron and calcium.
Maybe at the time that the book was written there were no available high quality commercial yogurts, but now one can find lots of them in any health food store.
This is definitely not a diet for ones with allergies for nuts, fructose intolerance and who has difficulties to digest animal protein.
The difference between SCD and elimination diet is that SCD eliminates foods just 'in case', because they could be a problem, while elimination diet is designed to identify the food allergies and/or sensitivities for every individual person and remove only that foods, which are problematic for that person.
Also, elimination diet does not sell books for $22.
Best of its kind.......2007-07-07
I have Crohn's disease, and lately I've read several books about nutrition for people with IBD, gluten intolerance etc. This is the only one I'm keeping
Diet and nutrition are complicated, and there is little agreement beyond the basics. The thesis in this book is that many people, especially those with IBD, have difficulty digesting complex carbohydrates, found in grains, milk and sugar. This is bad not only because of reduced absorption, but also because those carbohydrates remain in your gut longer than they should, and become food for harmful bacteria.
By avoiding complex carbohydrates, and getting your carbs from fruit, you help starve the harmful bacteria.
I've been following the book's thesis, and am feeling better than I have in a quite while. But the main reason I recommend the book is that it's well reasoned, sensible, and optimistic. So many books have doomsday scenarios. This one even suggests you can leave the diet once you're healed.
Along the way there are tons of pieces of information backed by references to real articles on real journals.
If you're suffering from IBD or gasses, cramps etc., give this book a serious try.
Eye opening and practical.......2007-07-03
This book made a huge difference for my husband who was suffering from a bad case of ulcerative colitis. Her approach is so sensible and based in science, it's a mind bender why doctors are not utilizing her knowledge. Within a few days of following the diet suggested, my husband had a great improvement in his symptoms. I'm recommending this book to all my friends who have "stomach problems" and those who have lactose intolerance.
For Everyone.......2007-06-27
This is a book for people suffering from intestinal destress. It works wonderfully in that capacity. In addition my wife who has no problem started the diet and started losing weight--a pound or so a week. She is delighted.
One proviso, the author says that diet soda is acceptable. My experience is aspertame is toxic in any form and should be avoided.
With that stated I am recommending the book to my friends.

No one said it would be easy. In the first installment of his BreakThrough series, Dr. Bruce H. Wilkinson urged Christians to find the abundant life through following a simple prayer. In Secrets of the Vine, his follow-up to the bestselling The Prayer of Jabez, the president of Walk thru the Bible Ministries explores compelling images from Bible verse John 15 in support of his message that asking for God's blessings may result in suffering and difficult circumstances. Through Jesus' symbolic portrayal of himself as the vine, the Father as vinedresser, and his followers as the branches, Wilkinson believes that Christians can better understand God's methods for ensuring personal fulfillment, and find a closer walk with him.
Grapes need pruning--and so do Christians, Wilkinson writes. God's "pruning" is painful, but Wilkinson argues that this pruning away of "self" is necessary to gain desirable results. He notes, "Pruning will intensify as God's shears cut closer to the core of who you are." Wilkinson urges Christians not to confuse "pruning" with "discipline," and offers a helpful chart to distinguish between the two. He discusses four levels of fruit bearing, from "no fruit" to "much fruit," and the connection between God's pruning and an abundant harvest.
Wilkinson's warm, personable writing style helps him come across as a confidant and mentor. Even though he admits, "I assure you that I possess no special knowledge in these matters," millions of readers seem to think he does. He lays down the challenge: "If you don't know and apply Jesus's vineyard teachings, you'll never experience the abundant life you long for. There is simply no other way." Christians aspiring to maturity in their spiritual lives will likely sit up and take notice. --Cindy Crosby

All I can say is this book changed my life for the better. Gave me another way to look at life's hardships and know that my higher power is there with me all the way helping me grow.

To follow up The Prayer of Jabez with anything might be risky. Honestly I was expecting a spin-oof. I was more than pleastanly surprized at the engaging insight. Then to find out The Prayer of Jabez was pratically an afterthought - and in a manuscript for two years before it hit the streets - is a riot. Secrets of the Vine is not an end-all. No book is. But it is one jewel after another reminding me to dig deeper when searching God's word.

Customer Reviews:
wonderful portrayal of a migrant family.......2007-02-16
I bought *Breaking Through* without realizing that it was a sequel to *The Circuit*. Nonetheless, you aren't lost if you start with *Breaking Through* I loved this memoir because it was one of the best portrayal of a migrant family.
This memoir chronicled the life of Francisco Jimenez from the time that him and his family entered America from Mexico to his entrance into college.
The Jimenez family saved up some money and entered into Mexico illegally. They were soon caught, after a time, and deported back. However, they were able to get papers and return. Despite living in the land of freedom and opportunities, the family has to work hard in order to survive. They worked in strawberry fields, lettuce patches and cleaned buildings.
Francisco is loving school yet struggled to stay on top as he also has to work. His older brother did well in school but worked nearly as much as their often-ill father did. The mother stayed home and took care of the children. However, she often substituted in their work when needed.
*Breaking Through* is a story of a family working together. It's also a story of one finding one's own identity in America. It's also a story of one trying to achieve the American dream.
You'll laugh. You'll cry. If you don't understand the Mexican culture, you'll find yourself puzzled at some things. Coming from a Hispanic family, I found myself nodding and taking strolls in memory lane.
Overall, it's easy reading for a great book.

Book Review on Breaking Through
Hi, this book Breaking Through by Francisco Jimenez is a sad book. Why is it a sad book? A boy named Francisco struggles through life trying to keep his family together. He works and goes to school, also trying to keep his grades up. This book is a good book because of the Theme, believable charters, and a nice setting.
The theme is, heart breaking. It's heart breaking since a boy and his family have to face many difficult obstacles. The obstacles are not easy for Francisco and his family. They have to pay bills but they don't have any money. So the whole family except mom and the youngest ones have to work.
Besides the heart breaking theme there are nice believable charters. The charters sometimes where confused. They where confused because they didn't have money. No one to help them, and struggled to keep food on the table.
There also was a very good setting. The setting took place in many different places. Like school, fields, gas company, Twitchel and Twitchel. There are many different places. So that means that the family is all over the places.
So this book has a great theme. Wonderful setting that makes you feel like your there watching it all happing. Also nice believable charters that do things that you could relate to. So if you like heart breaking novels then this is the book for you.

"BREAKING THROUGH" BOOK REVIEW
The book is "Breaking Through" and the author is Francisco Jimenez. The main person in the book is the author. It is a true story. He has a mom, dad and brother. His brother's name is Roberto. I thought it would be a good book because the first sentence was "I lived in constant fear for ten long years."
You shouldn't read this book because there are a lot of Spanish words. The book is very long. It has 195 pages in the book. The Spanish words are very hard to read and you can't understand them.
The characters were papa, mama; Roberto and Francisco. They live on a farm or tent. Papa and mama are the mom and dad. Roberto is the brother. Francisco is the author and character in the book.
There are pictures of the author in the back of the book. The Jimenez's lived on a farm or tent. They grew up poor in America. They lived in a tent in America.
This book is very hard to read and it's long. The whole book is Francisco's life. I'd liked to sum up by saying I still don't like the book because I couldn't understand the words. In less you like reading Spanish you shouldn't read this book.
An Inspiring story for all readers.......2006-11-10
This is a wonderful book. It draws you into Francisco's life and really makes you think about how easy most of us had it as a child! A MUST READ!!
Good Stories and Good Message.......2006-10-01
I bought this book after I'd read The Circuit because I needed to find out what happened to the family. I was intrigued by both books, found them fairly easy reading, and believe that they open up opportunities for discussion with teens. Thought provoking, well-written, very descriptive, somewhat depressing although I found the characters' spirit amazing and inspiring, and all together a very good read. Great for young adults as well as adults...highly recommended.
Book Description
reaking the Limit is one woman's account of riding her motorcycle from New Jersey to Alaska and back. Realizing that years of work and travel in other people's countries made her a stranger in her own, and with an invitation to meet her biological father for the first time, Karen Larsen set out on a fifteen-thousand-mile trip with nothing but her motorcycle and the barest of essentials. Larsen's journey tests the limits of her own endurance, challenges her long-held beliefs and values, and asks what it means to belong to a family. Through the the fields of Iowa and the deserts of the Southwest, over the Rockies and across Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, Larsen confronts questions of femininity, family, independence, and personal identity. Her journey speaks to the immense space and over-whelming beauty of North America, as well as to the diversity and vitality of the people she meets along the way. Breaking the Limit invites you to join her as she braces against the wind, trades security for freedom, sacrifices stability for motion, and opens herself up to the vast canopy of a continent.
Customer Reviews:
Amazing endurance.......2007-07-01
What an incredible read by an amazing woman. The book is intelligently written, including bits of history in her descriptions of areas traveled and her encounters with strangers. I also ride a "SPORTY" and men are amazed that I have ridden over 10,000 miles on it, much less a "short distance" trip of 450 miles in one day. I am in complete awe that this women did it on a model that was not rubber mounted as is mine. Have shared excerpts with my husband and he is interested in reading the book also. And being the man that he is, knowing I would enjoy a solo/soul searching journey of travel, encouraged me by stating he would "hold down the fort" so I could have a similar but shorter experience. Definitely recommend this to all women who ride.
To the Point.......2006-07-21
Don't waste your time reading this review ... man or woman, find and devour it as I did.
A book to relate to.......2006-06-19
Breaking Limit was an awsome book to read. She describes her trip where you can feel your there. Having family that have gone to Alaska and being adopted myself, I was able to relate to what she was feeling on her trip. I myself ride a bike and Karen's bike from what my husband says would be a hard trip that long and that far.Karen gives an amazing travel journal with the roads she chose and gives someone the ideas of what to expect on a bike trip.My husband enjoyed the book aswell.Any bike rider would enjoy it and relate to it. Ladie riders it will give you the confidence and encouragement that us gals can travel and do it.
A Story for Everyone.......2005-05-09
This book is about life on and off a motorcycle - a book for everyone.
I just purchased by tenth copy to give to a friend. If you ride a bike you'll love it; if you dont't you'll still love it! I started the book about nine o'clock one evening and just kept on reading until I finished the story.
Karen Larsen uses a ride from New Jersey to Alaska and back to review her life and project her future; you can join her and live your own adventure as you pour through the pages. You can laugh with her, cry with her and come away in awe of the world in which we live - if you liked Pirsig you'll love Larsen.
Great journey, great adventure, great book.......2005-01-03
If you liked Robyn Davidson's book, Tracks, you will like this book. In my opinion this is a great adventure book, a great feminists book and a great travel book. It is about one woman's two-wheeled trip from New Jersey to California to Alaska and return on a motorcycle. One her journey she met fellow travelers (including bicyclists like me,) local folks and her birth family. Larsen is an excellent writer and her trip, like all good journeys, led her to a lot of self-revelations. If you can't make the journey yourself you should at least read the book. It is a great trip!

Customer Reviews:
It's an interesting approach for identifying opportunities.......2006-12-28
As the Six Sigma and Lean practice areas mature, the challenge is to discover new ways to apply these methods. Michael George proposes that an analysis that looks at complexity of a business is a way to identify areas of opportunity for improvement. The method is based on some patented equations that attempt to put numerical values on a company's complexity. When the complexity is calculated, and is found to be out of balance with the company's strategic direction, then action can be taken using Lean Six Sigma to reduce (or increase) complexity.
This book proposes methods that cross conventional organizational boundaries, so the mission and the methods must be adopted by senior people who can see the benefits of crossing the boundaries. To make a difference managing complexity, these senior people must have the people and power to calculate new business measures and deploy teams that may not align with current organizations and departments.
The method seems sound, although the case studies are few. Anecdotes fill in the gap between idea and practice, and the anecdotes seem forced or coincidental (for example, Wal-Mart and Toyota can be used to justify nearly every business improvement method, even if neither of these companies goes on record as having used the method).
As usual in the improvement business, it's a matter of cost versus benefits. It seems to be a low risk analysis method that can reveal a potentially high risk, but high reward, payback. Since the equations are patented, presumably the only way that one can actually try this method is to contact (and hire?) Mr. George's consulting company.
When Less Is More.......2006-09-16
This is an amazingly revealing book about the dangers of complexity that is not consciously managed. And just what does managing comlexity entail? I the authors' words, it means
- Eliminating complexity that customers will not pay for
- Exploiting the complexity customers will pay for, and
- Minimizing the cost of the complexity you offer
In part 1 the case is made for conquering complexity in your business' portfolio (number of offerings) and processes (number of ways of doing the same thing). Part 2 develops the conceptual framework for measuring and managing complexity. In part 3, you are shown how to apply these concepts to the elimination, exploitation and reducing the costs of complexity.
Lastly, part 4 shows how to create an organisational culture that supports complexity management, conquer the complexity in your value chain and even apply the principles in mergers and acquisitions.
Insightful Business Analysis.......2006-04-22
This book, like the others in the series by Mike George (Fast Innovation, Lean Six Sigma) is right on target. The examples clearly show how complexity clutters business operations, products and decision making, thus reducing economic performance and shareholder value. The rigor (and mathematics)used to support and analyze the assertions is insightful and reinforces what is intuitively obvious when you understand their thesis. This is an important book for executives that would proabably be much more widely embraced if not for the math involved. Pity, the Japanese and others will pay attention.
Compelling Business Case for Conquering Complexity.......2005-06-25
I found Conquering Complexity provides an excellent framework and lays out a compelling business case for why and how you should focus on complexity.
This is the best guide out there in terms of a comprehensive approach to identify, quantify and attack complexity. The book is a very practical and pragmatic read with a wealth of real world examples and illustrations that reinforce concepts layed out in a logical sequence.
In researching a number of books though there are many that contain bits and pieces of concepts that relate to complexity, I have found that none of them tackle the concept of complexity as a discipline that must be mastered as Conquering Complexity does. I found it to be a refreshing, compelling book that you can follow step by step to create a complexity focus and agenda in your organization. There is tremendous power in purchasing the book for co-workers or Managers to help raise their complexity IQ and see what is possible. I continue to learn from the book as I refer back to it frequently. I would highly recommend it to anyone or any organization that is looking to continuously improve or to create greater value. I really found the sections on Product/Service proliferation to be right on, and a wealth of information. - Rodney
Practical way to determine complexity.......2005-05-03
Businesses talk about reducing complexity but have trouble determining it and simplifying it.
The books provides a roadmap and technique that organizations can use to identify the bad compelxities that customers will not pay for. The book goes further and identifies possible solutions with a plethora of real life examples that make the theory easy to understand and apply

Customer Reviews:
Pre-cursor to "The Secret"! Not a compliment!.......2007-06-21
I have nothing against game shows, some are fun. But this book makes God out to be a celestial Monty Hall, ready to give out favors if we can only pull the correct trinket out of our spiritual wallet or handbag. I can't think of a single religion that is as self-centered as the author's take on Christianity.Isn't religion about gaining understanding and developing a relationship with God? This book makes God out to be a sugar daddy! Read a bit of "Psalms" every morning instead of misguided efforts like this one.
An Eyeopener.......2004-08-31
A friend of mine recommended this book and I could say that it is an instant eye opener of how we should pray to God. Jabez's prayer is a simple yet powerful one. I've tried it ever since I read the book, and it has worked for me. Miracles really happen through prayer.
insightful and helpful.......2004-02-08
There is much to be learned from this wonderful 31 day devotional, not only in what it teaches, but in the questions it asks one to think about, and seek the answer within.
It is a helpful companion piece to Dr. Wilkinson's "The Prayer of Jabez", his first book in "The BreakThrough Series" ("Little Books/Big Change").
The format is excellent, dividing the month into weeks, each week focusing on a part of the Jabez prayer:
# 1, "O Lord, Bless Me Indeed !"; # 2, "O Lord, Enlarge My Borders !"; # 3, "O Lord, Put Your Hand upon Me !", and # 4, "O Lord, Keep Me from Evil !".
For each day there are 3 pages which include Dr. Wilkinson's insightful piece, 2-3 marvelous quotes from other sources that apply to the theme of the day, and a question for one to dig deep into one's motives and activities, and use as a springboard for the journaling one does afterwards.
The prayer of Jabez, from 1 Chronicles 4:10, is life changing, similar in so many ways to The Lord's Prayer ((Matt. 6:9-13), and the full understanding of it seems to only come when one is ready for it, and prepared to serve the Lord in a larger capacity. Many misunderstand it, thinking the blessings asked for are for one's own gratification, but this is not the case. The lesson of Jabez is in doing more for the Lord, as stated on pg. 54, "God wants you to urgently desire a larger life with more opportunities to serve Him".
A well constructed and aesthetically pleasing little book, with light peachy-beige marbleized pages and dark brown easy-to-read print, reading this every morning for a month is time put to good use. For a powerful 365 day devotional, I highly recommend Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost for His Highest".
PARADIGM SHIFT FOR CHRISTIANS.......2002-06-18
The Prayer of Jabez Devotional is even more powerful than the original introductory book. Using practical and reachable illustrations the author(s) brings accross an all important truth: "God wants to bless us indeed, in spite of ourselves, notwithstanding what we may do or who we really are." It takes the simple act of asking, beleiving that He will, and allowing Him to use us to accomplish and attain the unimaginable. Sounds pretty simple, but we have failed to get it for so many years.
This devotional not only enlightens Christians to the incredible possibilities that are theirs for the asking, but it gives a new perspective on what God is capable of doing with and for us. All it takes is a shift in paradigm.
A short, but life changing message........2001-11-28
"Oh that thou wouldst bless me and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep me from harm so that it might not hurt me!" And God granted what he asked." 1 Chronicles 4:10
Next to the basic message of salvation, this must be one of the most powerful messages from God I have come accross.
My life has been dramatically changed since I read this book and applied its wisdom.
Dr Wilkenson uses his very pleasant narrative style to show to his readers the power of a short scripture contained in the Old Testament, if prayed on a consistent basis.

Book Description
Of organizations that seek strategic change, 70% fail. In Leading Strategic Change, now in paperback, leading consultants J. Stewart Black and Hal B. Gregersen examine the core problem: organizations fail to change because individuals fail to change. Black and Gregersen identify the "brain barriers" that keep strategic change from success--failure to see, failure to move, and failure to finish--and offer a start-to-finish strategy for helping others change how they view their goals and the steps they must take to achieve them. This book systematically shows you how to implement the single change that makes all the others possible: redirecting individuals' ideas and expectations to be aligned with the new direction of the company.

Most organizations that seek to change fail. The central reason: employees are relying on obsolete "mental maps" that prevent them from observing changes in their business environment, responding effectively, or following through on changes they've begun.
Customer Reviews:
Informative and actionable guide to engaging your team in change initiatives.......2006-02-21
With a wonderful presentation format and very engaging writing style, this book informs and guides leaders who want to roll out change initiatives in their organizations. Critically, it provides information on the most important steps to take, how to build momentum, and the variety of issues that prevent your desired change from happening. This book will prove most useful when there's a good idea, someone wants to champion it, you (as the leader) want it to happen, and you need to know what to do next.
The only real thing that I'd like to have seen was a few more examples of real-world cases where change failed surprisingly due to not following the steps. Sometimes knowing the smoke signals to look for is important as knowing the success metrics to track.
Narrow Focus.......2003-07-14
Interesting, but the focus on the organization is missing. We should not confuse management development with organization development (or vice versa).
Great book, plus..........2003-06-23
This is a great book. I recommend it in addition to "Strategic Organizational Change" by Beitler.
Black & Gregersen focus on the management development level. Beitler focuses on the organization development level.
They make a great combo!
Charles "Chuck" Lowell
Good book, plus..........2003-06-17
This is a very good book. I also recommend "Strategic Organizational Change" by Beitler.
A must read for anyone trying to create lasting change!.......2002-07-19
This book is a refreshing new way to look at leading change. It focuses on the real and often overlooked barriers to change and re-draws our maps of the change process. It gets right at the heart of leading people through change by addressing the fundamental barriers people face when confronted with change. Black and Gregersen provide a model that is simple, practical, and rings true. I use it in my organization change work and I highly recommend it. Any leader trying to lead his/her organization into the future will benefit from reading this book!

Once you get used to it the book can be pretty good.......2003-01-27
By the reviews in this site you will hate the book before opening it, but I would advise the reader to try it because once you go through it, it can be a pretty nice book.
abstract language makes it hard for intended readers.......2002-04-08
Abstract ideas and language in this work gave my friend a hard time understanding the content. They also make it difficult for those who do understand it to explain the text to their ESL friends. It could have been better, i suppose.
Brenda doesn't care.......2001-01-31
this book was so disappointing! I didn't learn A THING. but what's worse -- BRENDA DOESN'T CARE. It's so obvious! I's so sad! DON'T BUY THIS BOOK!
