The Real Deal.......2006-09-25
Although Mr. Wheatley is a little verbose in sections, his documentation of Zen Buddhistic Principles found throughout the disciplines of Mathematics, Physics, Theology, etc. forms a nice reference guide for anyone tuned into that wavelength. In particular, his explanation of how Godel's Theorem and Cantor's "Confusion" shed great light on the difference between GOD's Logic and Man's Logic should be a revelation to any undergraduate level math students who encounter these ideas for the first time. Curiously, Mr. Wheatley makes many misstatements about both Zen Buddhism Principles and the Bible, however. For example, by accepting the false biblical teaching of Original Sin, he misses the point that eating the proverbial apple gave Adam and Eve the ability to make Moral Discernments in fulfillment of GOD'S PERFECT PLAN. As proof, read Genesis 1 which states that Man and Woman were made in GOD's Image. Genesis 4 shows that Adam and Eve weren't the first humans on Earth at all, there were plenty of others by then. The allegorical meaning of the story of Eden, then, isn't that Adam and Eve were the first humans on Earth, but they were the first humans with the ability to make Moral Discernments (in GOD's Image). In fact, Moral Discernment is God's Unique Gift to Man, which is the basis of consciousness, not some Math Formula. But because the wages of the resulting, unavoidable sin are Death, many people foolishly try to return to Eden by: (1) living a sinless Life (2) by removing choice altogether by passing and enforcing strict Laws (3) by attempting to do away with Moral Discernment and the resulting consequences for our actions altogether by trying to remove Shame from Shameful actions. GOD is not some ethereal Man-In-Space, but is simply the Totality of all Real Things, The Set of All Real Sets. GOD's Love manifests itself from the amazing sub-atomic relationships that underly this magic Life all the way to the grandest of Macroscopic Scales, the Interconnected Totality itself. The Zen Buddhism connection can be found by simply superimposing the 0 symbol and the symbol for infinity (8 on its side) in Mr. Wheatley's supposedly "new" formulation that 1 = 0 x infinity. Superimposing them gives you the yin-yang symbol. A potential disadvantage of artificially separating the infinity from the zero, however, is that Mr. Wheatley is able to equate the entire expression to be equal to 1. This potentially might obscure the fact that the deepest meaning of the yin-yang symbol is that it is both 2 and 1 AT THE SAME TIME. His overall equation does preserve that important meaning by utilizing a single element on one side of the equation and two elements on the other side of his final TOE equation. This may be hard to see for some at first, however, which could potentially obscure the richest meaning of this beautiful symbol/equation. A much more GODLY TOE, in my opinion, comes from Euler, who discovered that e ^ (i * pi) - 1 = 0. When someone can explain that relationship, then they can say they know GOD.
A life changing experience??.......2005-06-13
This book is an easy read and does succeed in being somewhat thought-provoking. However, I am a little surprised at the awesome, "life changing" experience it apparently was for many of the readers. Wheatley's conclusions were interesting but nothing really new. All of his material should have passed through the mind of any thinking person without the aid of this book.
The reason I gave this book three stars is because he uses unneccessarily wordy ways of describing simple things. Also, the author and many other reviewers insist that Wheatley makes only one assumption. Wrong-his whole theory is one big assumption.
Overall though it was a very interesting and worthy book.
Should be Required Reading for everyone.......2004-06-26
This book will change your life. You will never think the same way you did before reading it.
I have a degree in chemistry and I think this book should be read by everyone in the sciences. Without a doubt, the best book I've ever read. Why and what are two of our best friends
A Very Important Book.......2004-01-26
I must preface my review by stating that I have never been so excited and moved by a book that I have wanted to contact the author. That is what I found myself doing upon reading this book. This book is just what its title says. The author does not "miss a beat" describing in great detail using practically every aspect of scientific knowledge from atomic structure through logic to quantum theory---we are even given a valuable explanation of Love. This text may be challenging to read for those unfamiliar with scientific terminology. And it can also be difficult for those with a science background, such as myself. However, for me it is well worth the work necessary to strive to understand the unfamiliar terminology. (I am continually learning from this book. I am presently on my third reread).
One of the author's main messages is "not" to believe anything without first verifying it with reality, as we know it. He calls it the "Personal Explanation Principle". He indicates that religions are just such belief systems that we as people "fall" victims of; because we do not verify the beliefs with the facts, as we know them, of reality. He gives a very detailed explanation of how the New Testament can be explored using his methodology.
The author methodically and meticulously walks us through his thought processes, which took 30 years to assimilate, of delineating the structure of reality and the nature of consciousness. Included in the "walk" are many of reality's phenomena made revelatory. An example of that, for me, would be the dual nature of light. It's particle/wave duality, which is explained as "functions". Also, when the author took me on the mental journey of "Setness" an exhilaration of the magnificence of life swelled up in me.
To me this is a very important book that should be read by all that are seekers of truth. It is for all those wanting to gain an understanding of the purpose for their existence, wanting to know where life is headed towards, and wanting to know who God is.
This book will enlighten and develop one's mind substantially. You will discover that this is our objective.
And yes, I contacted the author and he responded openly.
Illuminating!!!.......2002-12-30
This is a really great book. It combines philosophy and science in order to tackle a multitude of existential problems. The author's style of writing is fresh and alive, I recommend ths book to anyone interested in expanding the fronteirs of their understanding. Books I also liked are a Universe in an Nutshell by Steven Hawkings and Descent into Illusions by Paul Omeziri.

Loved it!.......2007-09-01
I cried during this story and I don't cry easily. Sin's childhood and his life up to the point where he meets the heroine, sounded so awful, I don't know how anyone could have survived it. And when asked by Callie, the heroine, he was honest about it too. It adds to the bittersweetness of this love story. I loved the moment when Callie finally showed him how much he means to her and what she was willing to sacrifice for him, a man who was rejected by both parents, hated, and feared but who had always sacrificed himself to save someone less stronger than himself. This is, by far, my favorite out of the MacAllister series.
Beyond great!.......2007-07-13
This book has everything a romance should have...lots of humor, tear-jerking moments, and passion. This is the best of the MacAllister series by far! Probably her book period!
Absolutely everything a romance should be.......2007-07-06
This book has got to be one the best romance books I have ever read, I put it up there with some of my all time favorite romances.
Lord Sin has got to be one of the most delicious, wonderful, gorgeous, strong, and yet sensitive tortured hero I have ever come across. Now this is romance right here, steamy without being explicit, moving, deep, meaningful, funny, and just all around perfect!
Caledonia is a strong woman, the kind that Sin needs. And it is a joy and a great pleasure to read and watch as these two are forced to get married by the king and then get to know each other. Slowly Sin's wounds are healed, as Caledonia brings back life and laughter into his life.
And when they at last consummated their marriage, after they had fallen in love, Caledonia asks Sin if it is always this wonderful, and he replies that he doesn't know, because he hasn't done it before,(how beautiful and refreshing).
Suffice to say, and I think you can tell by now that I absolutely loved this book! Highly recommended!
sigh, swoon 5+ stars.......2007-06-27
I love anything MacGregor [or Kenyon] writes. This was my top of the MacAllisters. Don't know why I love a man with a tortured past or a woman so stubborn it's almost a fault. Basically both of them are forced into marriage, stubborn, and trying to keep their lands from war. So many elements make this a wonderful read, that there isn't enough space here to list them all. MacGregor sure knows how to make the characters real in your mind. Please don't stop writing, sherri [or kinley:)]!!!!!

".A masterful and enlightening analysis of the frightening theological errors of a major and widely publicized Christian teacher/leader. As a commonly referenced 'grand old man' of the faith, even in secular news magazines, his false gospel is especially dangerous to the true Church. It seems the key failure in Stott is, 'emotionally I find the concept intolerable'. In the face of the reality of hell what else are people supposed to do but sear their conscience or crack under the strain and fall at the foot of the Cross!!" -- Dr. Gary L. Almy, author of "How Christian Is Christian Counseling?"
Customer Reviews:
On Evangelical Annihilationism.......2007-07-28
There are three works compiled in this book, one entitled Systematic Annihilationism by author Mr. Cronfel, one from Spurgeon's sermons and one from Calvin's tracts. In the work of Mr. Cronfel, one will find a critique of evangelical annihilationism espoused by prominent Evangelical Theologians of note. Specifically the book responds to the well known position of Rev. Dr. Stott that sides with annihilationism. It is a fair enough treatment of the subject in that the author tackles the heart of the issue - that of what sin is and why it is punished by God. Indeed, depending on what one understands these to be, will determine one's understanding of the atonement of the Lord Jesus. Hence, will also influence one's view of the final eternal states of believers and unbelievers alike. The work has ample documentation that the reader can check for accuracies and context. The citations are open for the reader to judge i.e. if the assertions therein are fair or unreasonable. Whatever the reader's conclusions might be, the reader will be led to reflect again on the major themes like original sin, justification, faith, the resurrection etc. found in Christianity, and this is always a beneficial exercise.

Author Evelyn Coleman, best known for writing children's books and adult thrillers, takes on teen fiction with Born in Sin. Living in a housing project with drug dealers as neighbors, 14-year-old Keisha is determined not to let her future be dictated by her meager circumstances. A straight-A student, she confidently applies for an advanced placement summer program. But her dream is derailed when school administrators decide that instead of following the college track, Keisha should attend a summer program for at-risk teens. Infuriated, Keisha refuses to go along at first, (in a memorable opening scene, she snatches the wig off the head of the offending principal) but then, through that program, she discovers a natural aptitude for swimming. Encouraged by a kindly coach, she begins to train for the Olympics. But family problems and a nearly fatal quarrel with a local drug lord coincide to undermine her confidence again. Will Keisha ever be able to overcome the "sin of poverty" and become the winner she knows she is inside?
Despite some politically correct, almost caricatured characters, (the white lawyer in charge of the program informs Keisha's mother with utmost sincerity, "I am aware of the idea that because your roots are in Africa, you may not see time in a linear fashion as we do"), Keisha is an engaging, bighearted heroine who teens will cheer for. This novel is a good suggestion for those older adolescent readers who have enjoyed E.R. Frank's Life is Funny and Virginia Euwer Wolff's True Believer. (Ages 13 and older) --Jennifer Hubert
Book Description
"Come on Betty....Can't nobody stop us from winning, 'cause we fish. I want you to swim....You and me, the first black girls going to the Olympics."
For Betty, winning now means swimming upward from the depths of near-death. In the cold hum of the hospital only Keisha can remember their dreams from earlier that summer, when she was to attend a premed vacation school at nearby Avery University. Keisha dreamed of being a doctor. Betty dreamed desperately of having a friend.
They were both at risk -- at least that's the label Keisha gets slapped with when, instead of Avery, she is sent to an urban rescue program for teens in poverty, or, as she figures it, born in sin. She is outraged, but she turns anger into something much more powerful -- the will to prove her doubters wrong. For this she has friends, family, and one ally especially -- Malik, Betty's watchful brother, who wants beauty to be there for everyone. Keisha's story is part drama, part victory lap,...and all heart.
Customer Reviews:
disappointing.......2007-05-12
I was interested because it was one of the few fiction books about competitive swimming, but the writing style was horrible. I didn't even make it through the first chapter (does it even have chapters - I don't remember) before I donated it to the local library :-)
Born In Sin.......2003-05-04
Fifteen-year-old Keisha lives with her mother, seventeen year old sister Rhenda, Rhenda's two year old baby, and Punky her brother. They don't have much money but they love each other and work hard to survive under their near poverty conditions. Keisha does well at school and wants very much to become a doctor. In fact with the help of her Biology teacher she has applied to nearby Avery University for a scholarship in their premed summer program. Unbeknownst to her, Ms. Hill the counselor at school has changed Keisha's curriculum track from college prep to general which disqualifies her for the premed program. When Keisha finds out she looses her temper and makes a dive for Ms. Hill's wig, pulling it off and creating a scene in the office. Once everything settles down it is decided that Keisha will attend a daily summer camp for "at risk" kids. Keisha never forgets her dream of attending Avery over the summer, but soon finds that she will have to postpone her plans until the fall if she can just come up with the money. Her mother says not to worry they will manage some how. Meanwhile, Keisha learns how to swim and soon discovers that she is a natural who wins every race. The local swim coach persuades Keisha and her friend Betty to join the team and gives them hope for the Olympics. This is a wonderful story that rings true with every word. It's the sort of book that you can't put down because the characters are so real and you want to find out what's going to happen to them.
DREAMS ARE OUR FUTURE, DONýT LET YOURS DIE.......2001-09-18
I chose to read Born in Sin, because of the title. I like drama and assumed the pages would be overflowing with it. Instead of drama Evelyn Coleman takes us on an emotional sometimes-witty rollercoast ride with Keisha Wright and her friends at a program called At-Risk Kids. At Risk is for poor teens Born in Sin as Keisha puts it. Keisha aspired to attend Avery University and become the families' first doctor. When she receives her letter of acceptance, she quickly realizes that she doesn't have the money needed to attend. Keisha doesn't believe her mom can get the deposit for school and in her 14-yr. old mind she doesn't want to make her mom feel bad so she tries to hide the letter.
Betty Shabazz is also an At Risk kid. To get away from her drug addict mom and alcoholic stepfather she befriends Keisha, taking up for her whenever she's around. The first activity the kids learn is how to swim, while in the water Betty goes out much too far, and has a near fatal accident. At that moment Keisha decides she is going to learn to swim. `Cause the next black person I saw drowning, I wanted to be able to save'em myself". Betty craves for attention and love and she goes looking for it in all the wrong places. Again she is at the depths of near death. Keisha and Betty learn how to swim, they are very good at it, so much so they believe they are going to the Olympics, with the help of the team coach, Mr. Walt.
With so much turmoil and disappointments in her life, and Betty no longer able to swim, Keisha decides that dreaming and believing isn't for black kids. After joining the swim team and making it as one of the anointed ones she gives up, until she receives a letter from Malik Shabazz, Betty's brother. Giving Keisha what she needs to go on, inspiration and romantic hope.
This book is for anyone and everyone who has a dream or simply had one and lost it. Keisha and her At Risk friends will show you that dreams come in all sizes.
Evelyn Coleman is a wonderful storyteller. The voice of Keisha was one I will always carry around with me.

Reaching Your Dreams.......2001-07-29
If you are ready to read an emotional, spiritual, thought-provoking coming of age novel of a young girl's struggle and turmoil in striving to reach her dreams, welcome to Born In Sin by Evelyn Coleman. You will not be disappointed in the depth and strong story line crafted by Ms. Coleman. This is a must read for everyone.
Keisha Wright is a fourteen-year-old girl who is streetwise and smart in school. Her long-standing dream is to one day become a doctor. To help fulfill that dream, she anxiously awaits news of her acceptance into the high school program at Avery University. While at school, Keisha is called to the principal's office along with other students and is told she is being assigned to a program for "at-risk" children for the summer. Not only is she told she is "at-risk" but is also told that she is being removed from the college prep course program where she has been getting excellent grades. This alone sets the stage of a very revealing story of how the education community and society itself stereotypes our youth.
While attending the "at-risk" program with persistence from her mother, Keisha meets and becomes best friends with Betty Shabazz and soon develops a crush on her brother, Malik. Betty and Malik both have to struggle daily with a drug addict mother and alcoholic father. Becoming friends with Keisha helps Betty to stay away from home as much as possible and from her parents environment.
After a beach incident, where Betty almost drowns when the lifeguard decides to take his time to rescue her; and Betty's brother Malik beats the lifeguard and is almost taken to jail, both Betty and Keisha decides it time to learn how to swim. What they soon realize is that they both have a talent in swimming and are asked to join a local community swim team. They excel in swimming to the point of being considered Olympic hopefuls.
In the meantime, the lure of the streets and material things take Betty to near disastrous results. While fighting that same lure, Keisha refuses to allow an opportunity to attend Avery University high school program pass her by, so she applies on her own and is accepted. However, because she was removed from the college prep program at school, she now must pay for the program herself. Keisha's mother takes it upon herself to earn the money anyway she can, keeping what she is doing from her family. When Keisha and the
rest of the family speculates on what their mother may be doing to earn the money, she follows her one night and is nearly raped. Still not knowing what her mother is doing to earn the money for her to attend Avery University, she becomes totally distraught to the point that she feels she must indeed been "born in sin".
Keisha, Betty, and Malik along with other strong developed characters in Ms. Coleman's novel is scripted to a point that every person jumps out at you with their own personal drama and real emotions. She draws you into relating and becoming truly absorbed in what Keisha, Betty, Malik and others must endure to reach their dreams.
As stated briefly in the beginning, Ms. Coleman's novel takes you through several emotions from laughing, sad, upset, angry, crying and finally cheers. I personally experience them all. It is a wonderful story where you will definitely close the book learning something very deep and relative to real situations and circumstances facing our youth today. You will truly enjoy the ending. I applaud Ms. Coleman on a well-written book and highly recommend everyone read Born in Sin. I give it a rating of 5.

Book Description
This is the first book in this age to preach the gospel of the baptism and the blood of Jesus as it is written in the Scriptures. The true gospel clearly tells us that He took away all our sins through His baptism and took over judgment for all our sins on the Cross. I am sure that there is no other book that preaches `the gospel of the water and the blood' more clearly and faithfully than this one. The Samaritan woman who drank from the well of Jacob everyday couldn't quench her spiritual thirst, but when she drank the water of life from Jesus, she earned salvation and thus, quenched her thirst immediately and forever.
All of humankind must be born again. We have to be born again through our faiths, be redeemed from all our sins and become righteous. For only then can we enter the eternal Kingdom of Heaven. The Bible says, "Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5). "To be born again of water and the Spirit" is the only way we can enter the eternal Kingdom of God.
What, then, is this `water' and `the Spirit' that allows us to be born again? The `water' in the Bible refers to `the baptism of Jesus.'
Why was Jesus, who is God, baptized by John the Baptist? Was it to show His humility? Was it to proclaim Himself the Messiah? No, it wasn't.
When Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist by means of `the laying on of hands' (Leviticus 16:21), it was `one Man's righteous act' (Romans 5:18), which took away all the sins of humankind.
In the Old Testament, God gave Israel the merciful law of redemption. This was so that on the Day of Atonement, all the sins of Israel for that year could be expiated through the High Priest, Aaron, by laying his hands on the head of the `scapegoat' and passing all the sins onto that scapegoat.
These were the words of revelation, which foretold the sacrifice of eternal atonement. It revealed the truth that all the sins of humanity would be passed onto Jesus all at once, who came in the flesh of a man, according to the will of the Father. And He was baptized by John the Baptist who was the descendant of Aaron and the representative of all humankind.
When Jesus was baptized, He said to John, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness" (Matthew 3:15).
Here, `for thus' means `by the laying on of hands,' in order to pass all the sins of the world onto Jesus, so that all righteousness might be fulfilled for all of us. The word `righteousness' is `dikaiosune' in Greek, and its meaning is "the fairest state" or "to be just in character or deeds with the implication of being righteous or fitting."
Jesus had fulfilled all righteousness for all people through His baptism in a just and fitting manner. Because Jesus took on all the sins of people through His baptism, the next day, John the Baptist testified, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)
With all the sins of humankind on His shoulders, Jesus walked toward the Cross. He vicariously took the judgment for all the sins He had taken on Himself through His baptism. He died on the Cross, saying, "It is finished" (John 19:30). He took all our sins onto Himself and received the complete judgment for them in our place.
This one book will surely quench your spiritual thirst forever and ever.

Toxic theology.......2007-09-01
It truly saddens me how many poor souls are being deceived by this very serious false teacher. You know if you would simply read John 3:5 and then John 3:6 you would know what being born of water means, could it be more obvious. Being born of water has absolutley nothing not a thing to do with us being water baptized or Jesus's water baptism. I hope the holy spirit wakes you poor deceived people up before it's too late.

A Real Eye-Opener.......2006-08-20
To read Paul C. Jong's 1st in his series was a blessing and an "eye-opener"! That can also happen for you! This book really shows the unsure person what it takes and to understand that to be born again of the water and the spirit, all you have to do is believe it and you too can be saved! Paul JOng shows the reader that the message in this book "washes away all my sins".
It has Biblical base, an important truth which is essential for Salvation.......2006-07-21
The chistians have to think why the old testment is given in Bible, and what happens if the old testment is omitted in the Bible. We assure that no body understand the New Testament without Old Testment. In Old Testament, Sacrificial System was given to attone the sins of God's people. There was a proper way to atone the sins of His people. According to Old Testament, those who want to attone their sins, had to have a sacrificial lamb or goat. Why should an animal die?... for the sake of the person's sins, who baught that sacrificial animal. How he used to pass his sins upon that sacrificial animal? He had to lay his hands upon the head of animal and lay all his sins upon the animal. Because of his sins, the animal had to die.
We know that Jesus Christ is only one God's begotten Son. He was sent to the earth as a Lamb of God. At the same time, John the Baptish also was born as the decendant of Aron the high priest, as a priest. John the Baptist did his job, and proclaimed that Jesus is the Lamb of God, who is taken the world of sins, after the baptism taken by Jesus Christ, by the John the Baptist in the river Jordan.
Whose sins were attoned in the time of Old Testament? The person who believed that his sins were laid upon the animal that he brought, because that animal die because of his sins. In the same way, one has to believe, that the Baptism of Jesus Christ given by John the Baptist, to be saved. Actually the key of Salvation is here only. Without this truth, if any person believe Jesus Christ as his Saviour any manner, it is incomplete belief. That person sins can not be attoned, because he does not believe that his sins were laid upon Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago, when John the Baptist baptised Him in the river of Jordan. Jesus Christ, made ever lasting, sacrifice, still it lasts. If one person believes, that Jesus Christ taken away all the sins of world, including himself, 2000 years ago, he will have no sins in his heart. Then he could believe that he is saved. Now, let us conclude, what the beliefe, that make him believe that Jesus Christ is his Saviour? Unless he believes that Jesus Christ has taken away all the sins of the world, including him, he can not be saved.
That is how, the Book title, Have YOu Truly Been Born Again of Water and Spirit, is most apropreate, and most meaningful. It is really an amazing book, which lightens the hearts of believers. It is truly, a righteous tool given by God, for the people who is ready to know the truth, instead of their worldly traditional doctrines. Really, Paul C. Jang is a servant of God, rised by God.
And it is my previlege to write preview on this book
