Product Description
`History: Fiction or Science? Chronology 2` is the second volume of the most explosive and astounding tractate on history ever written - however, every theory it contains, no matter how unorthodox, is backed by rock solid scientific data. The book is easy and pleasant to read; it is well-illustrated, contains hundreds of charts, graphs and illustrations, copies of ancient manuscripts, and countless facts attesting to the falsity of the chronology used nowadays. You will be amazed to discover: - That the chronology universally accepted today and taken for granted is simply wrong; - That ALL methods of dating of ancient sources and artefacts known today are erroneous or non-exact; - That there is not a single document that could be reliably dated earlier than the XIth century; The Author refers to the Middle Ages as the Antiquity and proves mutual superimposition of the Second and the Third Roman Empire, both of which become identified as the respective kingdoms of Israel and Judah. Furthermore, he asserts that the famous reform of the Occidental Church in the XI century by Pope Gregory Hildebrand was the reflection of the XII century reforms of Byzantine emperor Andronicus who in his turn identifies with Jesus Christ. The Trojan war counted by Homer happened only as late as of the XIII century A.D. and the great poet actually lived in XIV century A.D. No stone in history of Antiquity is left unturned. Literally. This book is the beginning of a major correction to the chronology we live with.

I don't care what other people say of this book. Those affirmig it's fake, they hadn't ever read it. Or have some special reasons to do so. "Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see..." This book won't make you feel comfortable. It'll make you feel free. It'll make you feel you're "not the only one" to feel you'd been lied to for centuries.
Suprise! Suprise!.......2007-03-22
Here is a serie of books which turns "the whole world" upside down. I learned a lot of it and I hope that a new book from A.T. Fomenko will follow very quick. A absolute must for everybody who is interested in history or even a little bit from it.
Prescient St Augustine?.......2006-02-05
We can so far divide the New Chronology into the following three parts:
a) The verifiable theory that proves consensual chronology wrong with the aid of astronomy, statistics and mathematics;
b) The new chronology hypothesis based on a new understanding of known historical facts and the most likely logical explanation of the most obvious inconsistencies inherent in the official version of history;
c) The history conjectures, that is experimental historical reconstructions based on assumptions that the authors believe to make sense in the light of their research and linguistic parallels - void of ironclad factual support to date.
Fomenko's theory complies with the most rigid scientific standards as a whole:
It gives a coherent explanation of what we already know.
- It is consistent: independent lines of inquiry all lead to the same conclusion.
- The predictions it makes are confirmed empirically.
Fomenko goes by the following axioms:
- Chronology is the basis of history;
- Human evolution has always been linear, gradual and irreversible;
- The "cyclic" nature of human civilization is a myth, likewise all the gaps, duplicates, "dark ages" and "renaissances" that we know from consensual history;
- The accumulation of geographical knowledge as reflected in cartography is a gradual and irreversible process;
- The chronological distance between a given manuscript and the events described therein is proportional to the amount of distortions it contains;
- There is no "useless" information in authentic ancient sources.
Why the mainstream historians do not shower mathematician Academician Dr.Prof Fomenko with thanks and laurels?
The Russians:
Because Fomenko asserts that there was no such thing as the Tartar and Mongol invasion followed by three centuries of slavery, providing a formidable body of documental evidence to prove his assertion. The so-called "Tartars and Mongols" were the actual ancestors of the modern Russians, living in a bilingual state with Arabic spoken as freely as Russian. The ancient Russian state was governed by a double structure of civil and military authorities. The hordes were actually professional armies with a tradition of lifelong conscription (the recruitment being the so-called "blood tax"). Their "invasions" were punitive operations against the regions that attempted tax evasion. Fomenko proves that Russian history as we know it today is a blatant forgery concocted by a host of German scientists brought to Russia by the usurper dynasty of the Romanovs, whose ascension to the throne was the result of coup d'état, charged with the mission of making their reign look legitimate. Fomenko proves Ivan the Terrible to be a collation of four rulers, no less. They represented the two rival dynasties - the legitimate rulers and the ambitious upstarts. The winner took it all! Over some 30 years of controversy, Russian historians have made a most remarkable transition - they were initially accusing the young mathematician Fomenko of anticommunist dissident activity and attempts to deface the historical legacy of Soviet Russia; nowadays the middle-aged mathematician is accused of adhering to "pro-communist Russian nationalism" and defacing the proud historical legacy of Great Russia.
The Westerners:
Because Fomenko blows consensual Russian history to smithereens, successfully removing a crucial cornerstone from underneath the otherwise impeccable edifice of World History. Fomenko adds insult to injury, wiping out one by one the Ancient Rome (the foundation of Rome in Italy is dated to the XIV century A. D.), the Ancient Greece and its numerous poleis, which he identifies as the mediaeval crusader settlements on the territory of Greece, and the Ancient Egypt (the pyramids of Giza become dated to the XI-XV century A. D. and identified as the royal cemetery of the Global "Mongolian" Empire, no less). The civilization of the Ancient Egypt is irrefutably dated to the XII-XV century A. D. with the aid of the ancient Egyptian horoscopes cut in stone. He was the first one to decipher and date all such horoscopes, coming up with mediaeval dates in every case. English historians rage at the suggestion that the history of Ancient England was de facto a Byzantine import transplanted to the English soil by the fugitive Byzantine nobility. To reward the English historians who consider themselves the true scribes of World History, the cover of the present book portrays Tintoretto's Jesus Christ crucified on the Big Ben.
The Chinese:
Because Fomenko wipes out the Ancient History of China outright. No such thing. Full point. The compilation of the so-called Ancient Chinese History is reliably datable to the XVII-XVIII century only. It is perfectly recognizable as the Ancient European history, reworked and transcribed in hieroglyphs as yet another historical transplantation, this time performed on the Chinese soil by the loving Jesuit hands. The Chinese are the next in line to go berserk. Chinese history is inevitably bound to get both more ancient and more eventful, proportionally to the growing involvement of China in the world affairs. Chinese historians will keep on finding valid proof of prehistoric Chinese spaceflights until the Politburo orders them to shut up.
The Arabs:
Too bad. Islam with all its key figures is datable to XV-XVI century A. D. Arabic historians may find consolation in the crucial historical role of the Ottoman Empire in the XVI-XVII century. The trouble is that this empire was initially a Christian state, with Hagia Sophia identifiable as Temple of Solomon, according to Fomenko! We can only guess if the acquisition of Alexander the Great (a Macedonian and a Christian) as the founder of the Muslim World Empire will make Fomenko's theories more acceptable to the Arabic mainstream. He certainly does not spare any holy cows at all, claiming The Stone of Qa'Aba in Mecca to contain the lost Arch of the Covenant.
The Divinity:
Despite of reiterated statement that his theory is all about chronology and not Religion, Fomenko stirs up a whole condominium of wasp nests. His collection of anathemas, fatwa, and other condemnations from all parties concerned is already considerable. Little wonder, considering that the history of religions à la Fomenko looks as follows: the pre-Christian period (before the XI century and JC), Bacchic Christianity (XI-XII century, before and after JC), JC Christianity (XII-XVI century) and its subsequent mutations into Orthodox Christianity, the Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, and so on.
According to Fomenko we know strictly NOTHING about the events that predate the X century A. D.
St Augustin was prescient when he spoke unto us: "be wary of mathematicians, particularly when they speak the truth."
Something of a disappointment.......2005-09-09
After having read the first volume of this expected series of 7 volumes I was triggered by the thesis of these authors that ancient Greek and Roman history did in fact take place in the Middle Ages. So I started studying medieval history of the Middle East - also known as Islamic history - to find out if the opponents of the ancient Greeks and Romans - the Acheamenid Persians, Sassanids, Scythians, Egyptians, etc. - also have their duplicates in medieval history. My search was disappointing: none of the many medieval Islamic dynasties seemed to correspond to the ancient middle eastern rulers.
However, I did find a close correspondence between Herodotus' Persian kings and medieval events:
- the defeat and capture of an Anatolian king - the Lydian Croesus - by the Persian conqueror Cyrus is identical to the defeat and capture of another Anatolian king - sultan Bayezid - by the Asian/Mongol conqueror Tamerlane;
- the Persian conquest of Egypt by the cruel tyrant Cambyses reds almost exactly as the Ottoman conquest of Egypt by Selim the Grim (note the nickname!);
- Darius the Lawgiver of the Persian Empire looks very much alike to Sulayman the Magnificent, the Lawgiver in Islamic history;
- Xerxes, whose main claim to fame is to be defeated by the Greeks at the naval battle of Salamis, looks like Selim II (the Sot) whose main claim to fame is to be defeated by a Spanish-Italian alliance at the naval battle of Lepanto.
I should have expected Fomenko et al. to arrive at similar conclusions, however, they claim that the Persian kings are the alter egos of the Angevin kings of Sicily whose biographies do not contain the exploits of the Persian kings.
The similiarities I indicate lead to the conclusion that Herodotus must have written his Histories at the close of the 16th century. But this is extremely late, given that Herodotus is "the Father of History", so therefore all other "ancient" histories must have been fabricated even later. Yet, the founders of modern chronology - Scaliger and Petavius - laid their foundations also at the close of the 16th century and had the full corpus of ancient histories already at their disposal.
It seems to me that Fomenko has to address these inconsistencies, maybe in the forthcoming 5 volumes?
Another critique of their book is that the correspondencies between different rulers are often based on a superficial comparison of the biographies; upon a more thorough comparison many details appear that do not correspond at all.
Finally, the authors rely heavily on the works of Gregorovius (1821-1891!!) - his medieval histories of Rome and Athens - as the source of medieval history; these works are - at least in the West - hoplessly outdated and have been superceded by more up-to-date works (for instance, Julius Norwich's trilogy on Byzantine history is not even cited).
Romulus courts Helen, Paris founds Rome, Moses goes to Troy.........2005-07-30
If you agree with Fomenko that Roman chronology is basically the foundation of the entire edifice of global chronology; you would also certainly agree that despite its numerous gaps and inconsistencies, Roman history is the best-documented field of ancient history, and thus a reference scale. But how well is the actual date of the Eternal City's foundation known?
Firstly, Rome is supposed to have been founded by the Trojans who had to flee after the fall of Troy. Some claim Rome to have been founded by Aeneas and Ulysses shortly after Troy had fallen; others are of the opinion that there was an entire dynasty that ruled for 500 years between the fall of Troy and the foundation of Rome.
Well, that's just an innocent 500 years long misunderstanding compared with what heretic Fomenko says, asserts, proves in his second volume: Second Roman Empire, Third Roman Empire, Biblical Kingdom of Israel, Biblical Kingdom of Judah, Holy Roman Empire are stories about basically same events, written from different points of view at different times. The underlying events have actually taken place during xii-xv cy. These histories have been written and perfected by multitude of highly talented humanist and clerical writers of xiii-xvi cy disguised as "ancients" with glorious names like Homer, Pluto, Thucydides etc..Chronology 2.0 beta..
Historians are kindly invited to report the bugs.

Bold Art and Bolder Women........2004-02-16
For those who are nto familiar with Eric Stanton this is a good starting point, the art work is erotic rather than pornographic, the stories all based around dominant women, some violent but nothing that would leave a permanent scar!
Stories, of which there are a few, are in comic strip form, all color. The women are beautiful and statuesque the male characters range from the stereotypical bully to meek and mild.
Overall the book is beautifully presented and a great addition to any collection.

Customer Reviews:
Excellent continuation!.......2007-09-07
This third installment in the Posleen Wars series takes place about five years after the end of GUST FRONT. The Posleen invaders have overrun nearly the entire planet, with only America still putting up any significant resistance. While it was a bit of a disappointment to find that we've missed reading about a large part of the war, it is acceptable that Ringo has a larger story to tell. WHEN THE DEVIL DANCES is another long book, being over 700 pages in the mmp edition, but Ringo does a great job of keeping your attention. You won't be bored while reading this one.
This book devotes a lot of energy and time to secondary character development. In particular, Cally O'Neil, Annie Elgars, and Wendy Cummings (pictured on cover) are greatly expanded upon and will undoubtedly play major roles in future books. Mike O'Neil is for the most part left on the sidelines for this one, but some of the other characters from the previous books play significant roles, including Mosovich, Mueler, and Ryan. A new Posleen commander (Tulo'enstolar or something) is introduced and promises to be extremely troublesome to the human defenders.
The other major thread in this book focuses on changes in weaponry and tactics of the war. The humans have developed the gigantic SheVa gun (basically a mobile, anti-lander cannon) and have relocated most of the civilians into enormous underground bunkers/cities called 'Urbs'. They have also finally accepted that using nukes has to be considered. The posleen have also developed a bit, particularly because of the cunning of the new commander. Flying tanks and changing tactics make the posleen in this book much more of a threat than in the previous books.
The book ends with a major cliff-hanger which better be concluded in the next book or many people will be disappointed. Looking forward to reading HELL'S FAIRE.
Read this!.......2007-03-09
Perhaps the best book yet in a great series of future war. Read it with pleasure and satisfaction!
Excellent Writing.......2007-03-08
Great military Sci-Fi book, but it's best to start at the beginning of the series. There are many things that carry over from one book to the next and it's like watching a TV series. If you don't start at the beginning it takes a while to catch on to the character development.
Starts Strong, but Lingers Too Long - and Took One Book Too Many! .......2007-02-02
"A Hymn Before Battle" and "Gust Front" introduced John Ringo and his War Against the Posleen universe with a rousing start. Unfortunately, the next two books (this review is for "When the Devil Dances" and "Hell's Faire" because, even as Ringo admits, they are really one book) do not live up to the beginning. "When the Devil Dances" starts strong, picking up a while after the battle of "Gust Front"; humanity is struggling in pockets of civilization as they continue to battle against the initial invasion of the Posleen. But, they also know that the next, bigger wave is approaching, and that stopping the final taking of Earth by the Posleen seems impossible without re-enforcements from the units fighting off world - re-enforcements that they are told are not coming.
These two books are darker as well; Ringo admits to this in his afterwards of "Hell's Faire" where he talks about the effects of 9-11 on his writing of the book(s) and where he also admits to the faults of the third and fourth books of the series.
Though the book(s) has(ve) some great moments and some great battles, there are some serious flaws riddling the story. The biggest problem with the third book (or third and fourth books), is that it is too long...way too long - really needed some editing. Again, Ringo admits to this; which is unfortunate because that means it could have been fixed before publication. I think most of the blame falls on Baen Books, not Ringo; Baen has become a bit of a factory and its good authors suffer for it.
Another big problem with "When the Devil Dances" and "Hell's Faire" is the direction Ringo takes to story and the characters. The darkness that Ringo brought to these books, does not fit the first two books or the universe he created. And, he leaves us completely unfulfilled in regards to the background intrigue that has been building throughout the series. And, when he talks in the afterwards of walking away from the universe for a period of time because he is burned out on it, I found that very unfair as there was too much left undone.
And a warning: my biggest problem with these two books is the way he ends it! I won't tell you the ending, but it is so quick and so pat, I was left so dissatisfied, that it spoiled the universe for me. Then it got worse when the next books in the universe were cash-cow pot boilers written by other authors! What a disappointment.
The Continuing Human-Posleen War series.......2007-01-10
I like Ringo's Posleen books quite a bit, but When the Devil Dances and Hell's Faire would have been better as a single (somewhat slimmer) book. Note - To his credit, the author does discuss why the books came out the way they did instead of as one work.
Book Description
Calling on a decade of participant observation at a residence for mentally retarded adults, anthropologist Michael V. Angrosino's riveting and de-mystifying account offers an insider's picture of the lives of the inhabitants of Opportunity House. Using the narrative device of a dozen fictional short stories told in the voices of various community members as well as that of the researcher, Angrosino weaves a life-histories approach to ethnography together with an innovative culture concept to tackle the complexities of representing marginalized subgroups. As opposed to traditional clinical or statistical studies, which have insufficiently conveyed the subjective and experiential perspectives of retarded people themselves, Angrosino presents an intimate and complex picture of a highly functioning community with its cast of entrepreneurs, bullies, victims, and do-gooders. This wonderfully readable and captivating account is therefore an important resource for those interested in mental illness and disability, as well as a model for those experimenting with forms of ethnographic writing.
Customer Reviews:
Beautiful exploration of the lives of the mentally [handicapped].......2001-05-14
This book is a wonderfully written, fictionalized account of the lives of a group of mentally [handicapped] occupants of Opportunity House. Based upon the author's research, Angrosino really illuminates everyday details and thought processes of the mentally [handicapped] and gives voice and agency to those he observes in ways often absent from works about the disabled.

Ellie has started to believe she won't survive the war. Their band of eight teenage guerrillas is down to five now--Robyn and Corrie and Chris are dead, and only she and Homer and Kevin and Lee and Fi are still trying to sabotage the enemy who has taken over their country. They're growing numb and soul sick from the violence, because they've been fighting for a long time--through four previous novels, actually: John Marsden's Tomorrow: When the War Began, The Dead of Night, A Killing Frost, and Darkness Be My Friend. At the same time, they are normal teens who kid around, fall in and out of love, and think long thoughts about the meaning of life.
It is this poignant human dimension that lifts Marsden's series above the run-of-the-mill spy action novel--that and the fact that nobody is better at writing about things blowing up. And his scenes leading up to the explosion create tension so powerful it is almost unbearable to keep on reading--but impossible not to. In Burning for Revenge, the five have been abandoned in enemy territory when the New Zealand general decides that they are not valuable enough to send a rescue helicopter. Without any definite plans, they sneak into the back of a truck, only to find themselves at the end of the ride deep within the enemy's airfield. How they battle out of the situation and leave the enemy's air power in ruins makes a breathlessly exciting story that will not disappoint the many teen fans of this excellent series. (Ages 12 and older) --Patty Campbell
Book Description
From Hell to Stratton isn't an easy trip, especially when the enemy's headquarters lies somewhere in between. And that's exactly where Ellie and her friends unwillingly find themselves â smack in the middle of the Wirrawee airfield. With only five of them against hundreds of armed soldiers, escape seems like a suicide mission. The odds aren't good, and Kevin's nervous
breakdown isn't helping matters.
Ellie and her compatriots are back, battling to stay alive and struggling to stay together in John Marsden's latest book in the TOMORROW, WHEN THE WAR BEGAN series. High-speed truck chases, unexpected river journeys, and treachery by one of their own are just a few of the problems these Australian teens face in this gritty tale of war and survival.
Customer Reviews:
Another excellent addition to an addictive series........2007-03-24
The Tomorrow series of books by John Marsden got me through High School (as a lucky New Zealander, I have had the books since the 1990's). I awaited every new instalment with excitement and trepidation. `Burning for Revenge' was no exception and it delivered everything I was hoping for and more. `Burning for Revenge' is a nice return to the action, gunfire and explosive situations after a more sober `Darkness Be My Friend'. One book from the Tomorrow series features a warning quote: "do not start at night". This is completely true in `Burning for Revenge' - the reader is urged on to continue reading until the last page is turned, and is left gasping for breath and reaching urgently for the next instalment.
If you have enjoyed the Tomorrow Series, be sure to catch the Ellie Chronicles ( While I Live (The Ellie Chronicles) )that continue the story of Elle after the peace settlement.
Non Stop Action.......2005-11-01
Burning For Revenge will keep you up all night, that's for sure. There is a lot of non-stop action packed in this book, more than any of the previous books. Marsden makes you visualize the fear felt by the characters while escaping constant pursuit. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
great.......2004-01-23
this is the best series i have ever read. i am currently reading the other side of dawn and i am sad that i am almost finished. i have not found any books that are as great as these so i might as well just read them over and over again. i just hope there are other books as mesmerizing as these out there...
Tomorrow When The War Began.......2003-03-28
The book was great! It had a lot of action. It really kept you in suspence. It didnt seem like the book was very long but probably because it was such a great book.
The greatest war story/comming of age tail ever told.......2002-06-30
I was first introduced to this serioes at school, we were assigned to read it for English, before this book all books assigned to us in school were all garbage and I expected the same, as did most the other students in my class, most wouldnt bother to read it, so the teacher read it aloud in class, for most of it upuntil the half way mark I ignored most of it, until it dawned on me that this book was actualy sounding o.k. When I got home i got my copy from the bookshelf and actualy started to read it, and I read at any chance I had, and when I finished I read the second and third and then had to wait while the rest were written and released
The amazing story starts off with a group of teenagers going camping, and when they return the find the Australia has been taken over by another country, they go to the bush again to hide, but can't just sit back and do nothing and decide to fight back in what ever way they can, although unconventional, when all is said and done and the series is over they made a huge impact on the war, sometimes planned, sometimes fluked, of coarse not all survive and with every loss you can not help but feel the emotional pain of the others, it is the best comming of age story I have read, and although it is listed as a young adult series, it will be unforgetable to all ages and you will develop a bond with Ellie, Homer, Kevin and the rest of the gang, I have never fell in love with any fictional charactors the way I did with these guys, not even in T.V series
A story like this comes along once in a life time, do not, and I mean do not missss this book

Arthur Breaks the Computer.......2006-10-31
Arthur loves to play his computer game, but his mom has to work. He plays on the computer even though his mom told him not to. Arthur said, "Stop!" before his mom turned the game off. I thought this was a good book, and I'd like for everybody to read it!
Arthur's Computer Disaster.......2003-03-12
"Arthur's Computer Disaster" was a cute book. Any child would enjoy it. It's not only an easy reader that they would like reading, but it teaches a lesson. -What happens when your break the rules.
Arthur's hooked on this new computer game. His mom tells him not to play it while she's gone, but he does it anyway, even with his sister, D.W., warning him. Arthur accidently "breaks" the computer, his mother gets home, and punishes him. All in all, he learns a lesson.
D.W. is my favorite character, because she's so sweet and innocent, just like all little sisters are. She warns her brother, and he chooses not to listen, and ends up "breaking" the computer.
For non readers only.......2001-12-20
Book is on the level of SEE SPOT RUN. Not for young readers.
Arthur's in trouble now!.......2001-06-11
This is a great book to teach kids what happens when you break the rules. Arthur's mom tell him he can't play his new computer game while she's gone. But the game is really cool, and he doesn't mean to play it, exactly, just show it to Buster. But, as you might guess, things don't work out that way. Arthur is convinced he has broken the computer. D. W. worries that they will now be homeless, and it will all be his fault. But Mom is able to fix the computer and they all learn a lesson about following the rules.
As a Mom, I wish I could be as fair and calm as Arthur's Mom. She never yells or freaks out. She just grounds Arthur from the computer. And he admits that's fair, which my kids probably would not do. This is a great story about a very common situation. Kids and parents will relate to this one.
Computer Disaster a Book sensation.......2001-02-20
This book is a great book for many reasons. One reason is that it is a book that any kid could enjoy. This book has the idea of truth and it is a great book with descriptive words. The book has wonderful art and a great story line. It earns 4 stars in my head, and 5 or above in a small kid's head. It is about Arthur (the lead chracter) who thinks he breaks the computer but doesn't. It is a great book for all ages. :)

Awesome.......2005-08-12
I finished reading this book.And think "That was a good book"
Really worth reading.I loved it. "I want to read more!!" I say.LOL.Yes, it was very VERY exciting!
Glennal's Betrayal is really simalar to Joseph King of Dreams.
When Joseph was sold as a slave by his very own brothers.
Very simalar but put in diffrent words.
I tell you again.Worth reading.
EXTREMELY EXCITING
:D
Another cool installment in the Passages series!.......2003-02-07
I absolutely love Paul McCusker's Passages books. I've been a fan of the Adventures in Odyssey program for years, and this book can function with or without prior Odyssey experience.
Young James finds himself in another world, and soon rescuing a young boy from his brothers. No sooner does he rescue him than the brothers return, and sell them both as slaves! James and Glennal soon discover they've been given a unique ability...together they can have visions of future events, by the power of the Unseen One. (God) They attempt to use their gift to help, but soon much more than their freedom depends on them!!
Like I've said before, the Passages series grabs the brain lobe that loves the fantasy adventures of journeys to other worlds much like Narnia, or Middle-Earth. Lots of fun, and lots of learning too.
For the parents: Glennal and James encounter rough treatment in slavery, and one man dies a violent death in a labor camp. Another is implied executed (with a graphic vision about it beforehand)
Very Impressive.......2000-03-30
Paul McCusker writes the i've ever read.I loved this book about a different world full of unexpected twists and tunrns that will leave you dazzled,dazed,and writing emails to Paul McCusker and asking him to write more books of the same.
